Joseph Farah Celebrates Earth's 6,028th Birthday With Some Facts About Dinosaurs

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah reminds us today that October 23 is the day that 17th-century scholar James Ussher deduced was the day on which God created the Earth in the year 4004 BC, thus making today the Earth’s 6,028th birthday.

Farah marks the occasion by taking on some of the scientific quibbles with Young Earth Creationism, including the science showing that the earth is billions of years old and that dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago.

While science “can never prove the age of the Earth,” Farah argues, ”God can, however, prove the age of the Earth because He was there. And someday, when He returns to judge His creation, He might just do that.”

He then argues that ancient depictions of mythical beasts are proof that humans coexisted with dinosaurs. “Is it crazier for me to believe the world is around 6,000 years old than it is to accept as scientific fact that it is actually millions or billions of years old?” he asks.

One thing we know for sure: Science can never prove the age of the Earth. Because science requires a methodology of observation and empirical testing that could never be done on an event that occurred thousands of years ago, millions of years ago or billions of years ago. God can, however, prove the age of the Earth because He was there. And someday, when He returns to judge His creation, He might just do that.

Until then, we have the detailed historical record He left us with in written form – the Bible.

I know what some of you are thinking: “Farah, what about the dinosaurs that were tens of millions of years old? How do you explain that?” Quite simply, I don’t believe it. Throughout man’s history, in every culture, we have stories, pictures and sculptures depicting dragons and leviathans and sea serpents. Are we to believe these were all concocted in man’s imagination? Even the Bible references such observations. If behemoths like the one described in chapter 40 of the Book of Job somehow threatened the Bible account of history, I don’t think it would be there.

But here’s the bottom line: Is it crazier for me to believe the world is around 6,000 years old than it is to accept as scientific fact that it is actually millions or billions of years old?

Where’s the proof? Either way.

Is Tomorrow’s Lunar Eclipse A Warning About The End Times? Probably.

Tomorrow, people in much of the world will have the opportunity to witness a rare “total lunar eclipse,” which could turn the moon a deep shade of red. But, be warned: such a “blood moon” isn’t just an astronomical curiosity. According to a story that WorldNetDaily has been pushing for months, it’s also potentially a message from God warning of the impending Last Days.

In an interview with WorldNetDaily published yesterday, Pastor Mark Biltz — who literally wrote the book on the “heavenly signs” disguised in blood moons — reports that tomorrow’s eclipse could potentially signal “that God is closing this chapter of human history” and warning us of the coming “Great Tribulation mentioned in the Bible.”

“All these signs, coming together at one time, are potentially the culminating signals that God is closing this chapter of human history,” Biltz said. “This could be the final curtain call before the Great Tribulation mentioned in the Bible. God has always wanted to warn His people, and the rest of the world, before He intervenes. What better way to communicate to us than through the universal language of heavenly signs that speak to every tribe, tongue, and nation?”

He said, “In the Old Testament, the prophet Joel states: ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come’ (Joel 2:31). In the New Testament, Jesus is quoted as saying: ‘Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light … And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory’ (Matthew 24:29-30).”

In an email promoting the article, WND backs up Biltz’s point by noting that since the last blood moon occurred, several terrible things have happened in the world, including the spread of the Ebola virus and the rise of ISIS.

If Wednesday morning's total lunar eclipse – the second so-called blood moon – is indeed a "culminating signal that God is closing this chapter of human history," then consider history's path since the last blood moon occurred in April:

The death toll from the newly identified Ebola virus had not yet reached 150, all in Liberia and Guinea ... far from the United States.

Early reports of crucifixions and other atrocities in Syria did not yet have the labels ISIL, ISIS or IS in most people's minds.

Something big is happening in the world and in time ...

Not only has John Hagee promoted the blood moons theory and WND editor Joseph Farah endorsed it as “overwhelmingly persuasive,” it may soon have an adherent in the United States Congress: Georgia Republican Jody Hice, who on his radio program earlier this year urged listeners to “look at this very, very seriously”:

Farah: White House Intruder Means 'No One In America Is Safe' Under Obama

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah respond in a column today to the news that in intruder was able to climb over the White House fence last week. Farah, of course, sees the incident as proof that Obama has “compromised and degraded” the Secret Service, that he has “no use for borders or immigration laws” and that “no one in America is safe as long as Obama is on watch.”

Characteristically, Farah fails to mention that several intruders were able to scale the White House fence during George W. Bush’s presidency as well.

But, let me ask you a question in light of this incident: Do you really expect Barack Obama to protect you from ISIS terrorists and other threats to the safety and security of the nation?

Seriously?

The White House is surrounded by security details. There are cameras everywhere. Agents are locked and loaded, determined to prevent any existential threats to the first family and others. The nation is on heightened awareness of potential terrorist threats.

Yet, Omar J. Gonzales, 42, of Copperas Cove, Texas, made it all the way to the White House entrance unscathed.

What does this tell you?

It should tell you no one in America is safe as long as Obama is on watch.

My theory is this: Obama is such a bad commander in chief that even a great agency like the Secret Service is compromised and degraded under his leadership.

And, if I’m right, what does that suggest about the military forces of the U.S. today – after they have literally been cut to shreds by Obama?

Or maybe there is another explanation.

Maybe Obama’s laissez-faire attitude toward border intruders is manifesting itself in another form. Obama has no use for borders or immigration laws. He’s made that perfectly clear. All this time I thought he was a hypocrite for not caring about protecting the property rights of average Americans, not caring about the rule of law, not caring about common sense and the national security of the nation when it came to his border policy.

But maybe I was wrong.

Maybe he doesn’t even care about the safety and security of his own family and those who work at the White House. And maybe that’s reflected in this incident.

Joseph Farah: Obama Is Faking War With ISIS

Don't let the recent bombing campaign against ISIS and other extremist groups in Syria and Iraq fool you, writes WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah.

Farah says in a column today that President Obama is really going after "Syria's Hafez Assad" (Bashar Assad's father who died in 2000) and "Obama is not really at war with ISIS."

He explains that Obama is simultaneously allied with the Muslim Brotherhood and "doing the bidding of Saudi Arabia," the Muslim Brotherhood's arch-nemesis.

Recall, if you will, what Obama’s prime foreign policy objective was just over a year ago: He was determined to bomb the regime of Syria’s Hafez Assad. That, to Obama, was the most important and critical foreign policy objective. Many people, myself included, were astonished. Assad’s regime, while despicable in many ways, was hardly a threat to U.S. interests. In addition, the people Assad was battling in his own country were ruthless killers, thugs and terrorists. In fact, it was ISIS. Assad was also providing protection of Syrian Christians and other religious minorities – and still is.

Obama didn’t get his way. He couldn’t get Congress excited about his bombing idea – thank goodness.

He did, however, provide arms and munitions and your tax dollars to those rebels. Most or all of it wound up in the hands of ISIS. Thus, Obama, more than anyone else, actually fed and nursed and gave aid and comfort to ISIS. He incubated the monster it has become.

Now Obama is using the crisis he created to get what he wanted more than a year ago – another shot at undermining Assad’s government. He’s going back to the well with what he describes as a strategy to defeat ISIS by supporting Assad’s Sunni opposition.

Why?

I can only assume the reason is that Obama is not really at war with ISIS.

...

I know that’s a remarkable conclusion. It’s not one I state lightly. But Obama is doing the bidding of Saudi Arabia, as many of his predecessors did. And the bidding of Saudi Arabia is Sunni jihad. It’s what Obama confusingly labeled “the Arab spring.” It is about deposing authoritarian rulers who are not Sunni jihadists, who are not disciples of the Muslim Brotherhood and who often actually serve as a moderating and life-sustaining force in the volatile Middle East.

Obama has not chosen to fight against an outrageously evil and vicious terrorist army in Syria and Iraq. Instead, he is demonstrating once again that he has chosen sides in a religious war in the Middle East – and the side he has chosen is not the sunny side, but the Sunni side. He has chosen the Muslim Brotherhood over innocent non-Sunni victims caught in the crossfire of jihad. He has chosen the dark side, the aggressor side, the sectarian side.

No American in his or her right mind should get behind this war.

Joseph Farah: No Difference Between ISIS And CAIR

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, along with other Muslim-American groups, has repeatedly condemned the actions of ISIS, but WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah holds their denunciations of ISIS as proof that the two groups are actually allies. (Of course, had CAIR not condemned ISIS, Farah then would have said that their silence was proof that they support them).

Farah writes today that CAIR and ISIS are both extremist groups that only differ in their “tactics,” arguing that “it’s like the difference between Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky. The goals are the same; it’s only a matter of strategy for achieving them.”

The stealth jihadists have a public relations nightmare on their hands.

It’s called ISIS – or, as the head-chopping Muslim terrorists of the Middle East prefer to be known, “Islamic State.”

The Muslim Brotherhood front group, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a darling of the U.S. media, thinks ISIS is giving “jihadists” like them a bad name.

In other words, [Nihad] Awad, whose organization is actually an offshoot of the terrorist group Hamas, currently bombarding Israeli cities with rockets, thinks ISIS should kill, maim, behead and institute Saudi-style Shariah law less zealously, more judiciously, more moderately and perhaps less conspicuously.

I can’t believe this kind of talk is believed by anyone who has witnessed Islam’s carnage over the last 13 years.

The tactics of Awad and CAIR may differ from ISIS. But it’s like the difference between Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky. The goals are the same; it’s only a matter of strategy for achieving them.

Right now, the Middle East is at stake.

With hand-wringing and vacillation the response from the West, Awad’s tepid denunciation of ISIS may sound comforting.

But, don’t get fooled, again.

People must be judged not by their words but by their fruits. And, it’s fair to say after 1,400 years of terror, genocide and unspeakable tyranny in the Islamic world that its fruit is rotten to the core.

Joseph Farah: Being Against Same-Sex Marriage Is A Sexual Orientation

In a WorldNetDaily column today, Joseph Farah came up with a creative argument for exempting businesses that deny services to gay couples from nondiscrimination laws. Opposing same-sex marriage, Farah argues, is itself a “sexual orientation” and therefore a law prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation is actually discriminatory against the sexual orientation of marriage equality opponents.

Let me pose a hypothetical intellectual challenge: The law that forms the basis for the action against the Giffords in New York is a provision that bans discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Yet, isn’t that precisely what is happening to the Giffords? Are they not being coerced to accept and approve someone else’s sexual orientation? Are they not permitted to hold their own sexual orientation, one that acknowledges their God’s definition that marriage is a union of one man and one woman?

The Giffords are not campaigning to prevent other people from following their own conscience as to their sexual choices and activities. It’s just the opposite. They are being coerced by the state to take part in the sexual choices and activities of others.

Isn’t that obvious?

Farah finishes things up on more familiar ground, attempting to tie together the gay rights movement and Islamic radicals.

When “non-discrimination” becomes victimization of those with different religious and moral convictions, we literally have the establishment of a state religion and, effectively, the repeal of the First Amendment.

Who wants that?

It’s not Christians.

It’s not Jews.

Just look around and see for yourself.

Some people are trying to get the state to force those with different values, morals and religious idea to serve them in ways that violate their consciences.

I only see that kind of coercion demanded among two groups of people today – those who believe in the unlimited power of the state as their “god” and others who believe their god wants them to kill or subjugate all “infidels.”

Todd Akin Might Run For Office Again To 'Stand Up To Evil'

In the latest stop in his self-pityingcomebacktour, former Republican congressman Todd Akin said that another run for office wasn’t off the table.

Speaking last week with Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily, which is publishing his new book, Akin once again framed the controversy over his “legitimate rape” remarks as part of a battle between spiritual good and evil, insisting that God was on his side.

He told Farah that he hasn’t dismissed the idea of running for office again because he wants to “tell the truth” and “stand up to evil.”

Joseph Farah: Democratic Impeachment 'Scam' Is A Scam

Republican leaders in Congress are trying to tamp down calls within their party for President Obama’s impeachment, claiming that such GOP calls for impeachment are in fact a Democratic “scam.”

But WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah, an advocate of impeachment, wants Republicans to know that the impeachment “scam” is itself a scam and that “Democrats have successfully conned the Republican majority in the House — or at least the leadership — into believing they welcome it.”

“This,” he adds, “is an example of counterintuitive Saul Alinsky-style disinformation at its best.”

The Democrats have successfully conned the Republican majority in the House – or at least the leadership – into believing they welcome it.

This is an example of counterintuitive Saul Alinsky-style disinformation at its best.

Democrats say they’re raising money fighting impeachment.

They say it will help them in the midterm election.

They say talk of impeaching the first black president smacks of racism.

And the Republican leadership, the Republican elite, the Rockefeller country-club Republicans believe them.

That’s the incredible story of what is happening right now in Washington.

Paranoia-Rama: The Impeachment Scam, Obama Recruits Child Soldiers, And OFA Gives Away The Game

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

This week, we learn that Republican calls for impeachment are actually Democrats’ fault, see a major admission about Obama’s presidency, and explore the connections between environmental protection, the border crisis, Obamaphones, and the president’s private army.

5. Republican Calls For Impeachment Are A Democratic Plot.

We’ve always suspected that people like Bryan Fischer and Matt Barber are liberal plants sent to discredit and destroy the conservative movement from within, but we never knew how far the plot extended.

House Speaker John Boehner busted the scheme wide open this week when he declared that the idea of impeaching President Obama is “all a scam started by the Democrats at the White House” and that “this whole talk about impeachment is coming from the president's own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill” in an effort to make Republicans look extreme.

Of course, since the very beginning of Obama’s presidency, the GOP’s base has been clamoring to impeach him and remove him from office (although nobody can ever quite agree for what supposed crime).

Those calling for impeachment have even included a number of Republican members of Congress, including Rep. Steve Stockman, who distributed a book in favor of impeachment to every office on Capitol Hill .

And even after Boehner declared the whole thing to be a scam, prominent right-wing talkers including Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin continued to call for impeachment.

So now, we suppose, multiple members of Congress,Fox News personalities, and major Religious Right organizations are all pawns of the Democratic impeachment agenda.

4. Team Obama Admits To Alinskyite Conspiracy.

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah has found more solid proof that President Obama has launched an Alinskyite plot to destroy America: an Organizing For Action birthday card that calls the president the “Organizer in Chief.” Let Farah explain:

“Organizer in Chief”?

Isn’t that one of the derisive titles pinned on Obama by his harshest critics?

Isn’t that what Rush Limbaugh calls him?

Isn’t that what I call him?

Doesn’t the origin of that term come from Obama’s devotion to Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals,” the bible of radical, left-wing community organizing?

In fact, doesn’t the new hit movie “America” by Dinesh D’Souza focus quite a bit of attention on Obama’s Alinskyite community organizing roots and how he has carried this brand of activism and incitement right into the White House?

Yes to all of the above.

So why would Obama’s very own political action committee be embracing the cheeky slur against the “commander in chief”?

It’s an admission. It’s immunization. It’s a contemptuous non-repudiation of the truth. It’s classic Alinskyism on display.

3. EPA Recruting Central American Kids To Love Big Government.

Infowars put two and two together this week, noting that the Environmental Protection Agency has solicited a contractor for “Hispanic Media and Public Outreach Support” and “English to Spanish Translation Services” around the same time that thousands of Central American children are fleeing to the United States…an obvious plot to hook them early on Big Government:

The Environmental Protection Agency is targeting Spanish-only speakers in an upcoming public relations campaign, raising concerns that bureaucrats are already encouraging illegal aliens from Central America – potential future voters – to support big government.

2. Migrant Kids Will Be Used For Medical Experiments….

Rep. Michelle Bachmann brought her trademark analysis to the crisis of children fleeing violence in Central America who have come in large numbers to the southwestern American border. In an appearance on “WallBuilders Live” this week, Bachmann suggested that the Central American children will be put into the foster care system and used for medical experimentation :

1. …Or Lured With Obamaphones To Become Child Soldiers.

What could be worse than using migrant children as unwilling guinea pigs for medical experiments? How about luring them with free phones to become child soldiers in President Obama’s private army that will impose tyranny on America?

William Gheen and Alex Jones have the scoop :

Joseph Farah: 'Surprise' Obama By Impeaching Him

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah thinks that House Republicans should “surprise” President Obama by impeaching him and calling his bluff.

Like other conservatives calling for impeachment, Farah insists that the GOP must “play hardball” against Obama and “fight fire with fire.”

Some Republicans are beginning to suggest Obama is daring them to impeach him. Why not surprise him and do it? What will it take to get a rise out of the opposition party? Why are they all sleepwalking through one of the worst crises in American history?

It’s time to roll the dice. It’s time to play hardball. It’s time to fight fire with fire. Obama is not failing. He’s doing just what he always wanted to do – to bring America down, cut it down to size, level the playing field internationally, subvert our once-cherished national independence, move us away from self-government, blow up the constitutional requirement for limited government, divide and conquer, turning e pluribus unum on its head.

That’s what he always wanted to do. And he’s succeeding.

He doesn’t care that his poll ratings are in the tank. He has no election in his future. He’s banking on completing “the fundamental transformation of America” he boasted about way back in 2008 before he leaves office on Jan. 20, 2017.

He has 914 days left. (Yes, I’m counting!) Unfortunately, only the hapless Republicans stand in his way.

You Can Learn The Exact Day Of Christ's Return If You Give $5 To WorldNetDaily

When you sign up for WorldNetDaily’s email list, you commit yourself to a lifetime of receiving several emails a day offering great deals on prepper equipment, bogus medical treatments, presidential impeachment paraphernalia, instructional knife-throwing DVDs, and information on the impending End Times.

But all the spam can sometimes yield a great benefit, as it did with today’s email offering a set of DVDs that predict “the specific day of the Lord’s return” — information that even the Bible says is unknowable.

Unsurprisingly, the sales pitch doesn’t divulge this information, but does offer the set of DVDs — which have been endorsed by WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah —for the bargain price of $4.95.

Pastor Mark Biltz, an expert in the Hebrew roots of Christianity, believes he knows when Jesus will return – the exact day, if not the specific year. And today only, WND readers can get this acclaimed teaching in the 2-DVD set, "The Feasts of the Lord," for only $4.95 – an unprecedented $35 discount off the regular $39.95 price!

"I think most believers will be stunned by what they see in 'The Feasts of the Lord' teachings," says Joseph Farah, founder and editor of WND, who produced the two-DVD set. "Their faith will be renewed or heightened to new limits. These are powerful videos – unlike anything ever produced before."

In "The Feasts of the Lord," Pastor Biltz, of El Shaddai Ministries, employs his Hebrew roots perspective to suggest believers can, indeed, know with relative assurance the specific day on the Hebrew calendar of Jesus' return.

At the end of WorldNetDaily’s email, we learn that Pastor Biltz is only able to predict the “specific day on the Hebrew calendar for the return of Jesus,” but not “which year that return will occur,” although he does predict that “it is very near.”

The video series "Feasts of the Lord" pinpoints the specific day on the Hebrew calendar for the return of Jesus. The only unknown, according to Biltz, is which year that return will occur – though he makes the case it is very near.

These pitches seem to be the main business model of the conspiracy-theory-happy website, which we should note continues to score interviews with Republican congressmen and potential presidential candidates.

Todd Akin: September 11 Attacks Proved Liberals Are Wrong About Everything

In the second part of his sad, self-pitying interview with WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah last week, Todd Akin argued that the September 11, 2001 attacks shocked liberals into “silence,” arguing that liberals don’t believe “there are really bad people in this world” and “don’t think we need any defense in America.”

While he spent most of the interview criticizing Hillary Clinton for representing an accused rapist while working as a defense attorney for a legal aid group in Arkansas — because apparently individuals suspected of committing crimes do not deserve representation in court — he then complained that “we almost live in a culture where people want to believe something even though it isn’t true.”

The former Missouri congressman and failed Republican Senate candidate went on to say that 9/11 disproved everything liberals believe, leaving them “shocked to find that one of their life premises was totally wrong.”

“You can drive your Prius around with your yoga stickers and whatever, but these people still hate you,” he said. “Liberals want to believe, ‘can’t we all love each other, coexist?’ A coexist sticker didn’t keep those planes from hitting the towers.”

Akin also complained that he went through an “execution” during his failed bid for the U.S. Senate and called Mike Huckabee, who campaigned for him and wrote the foreword to his new book, a “champ” for standing by him.

He also thanked Newt Gingrich, Tony Perkins, Oliver North, David Barton and Farah for “having the courage” to support him throughout the campaign.

Farah: Anti-Gay Christians Will Face Persecution 'Unlike Anything Previously Experienced In America'

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is not pleased with the recent Politico Magazine story on the increasing embrace of LGBT rights among evangelical Christians. In a column this weekend, Farah took issue with Politico’s description of conservative evangelicals’ “longstanding hostility toward gay people,” calling the description “hellishly bigoted.”

Gay-affirming churches are the “ones who are truly hostile and unloving to homosexuals,” he argues, and “are actually condemning them to death.”

Meanwhile, Farah contends, anti-gay Christians will soon face “persecution and martyrdom” that will be “unlike anything previously experience [sic] in America.”

I just read a Politico magazine piece that demonstrates why biblically minded Christians are becoming the targets of real bigotry and will, almost assuredly, soon be the victims of real persecution – unlike anything previously experience in America.

Titled “Evangelicals are changing their minds on gay marriage,” the article, written by a religion reporter for the Orange County Register, focuses on “The Reformation Project,” which is described as “a nationwide network of pro-gay evangelicals committed to ending their church’s longstanding hostility toward gay people.”

Let me first say that this is a hellishly bigoted comment by people who claim to be fighting bigotry.

Today, in the popular culture, it’s cool to be “gay” – a word that has been hijacked by a political movement that embraces sin.

It may be popular to embrace sin today, but those who do so in the name of Christ are the ones who are truly hostile and unloving to homosexuals. They are actually condemning them to death.

There is nothing loving about rationalizing sin as an alternative lifestyle.

I don’t doubt that there is a new movement within the church that takes this upside-down view of what Christianity is all about.

But notice the way those who disagree with the view – all those who follow biblical Christianity – are portrayed: They are “hostile to gay people.”

Where does that kind of thinking lead?

It leads only one place – bigotry and persecution.

This movement is not about rejecting bigotry as it claims. It is about creating a new form of bigotry – against those with sincerely held, biblically supported worldviews.

Ben Carson Thinks Obama Is Engaging In A Leninist Plot To Intentionally Destroy The Economy

Readying for a potential presidential bid, Ben Carson has been speaking out about how everything from health care reform to gay marriage is part of a long-term communist plot to bring down America, inspired by Vladimir Lenin and Saul Alinsky and orchestrated by none other than President Obama.

In the second part of Carson’s interview with WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah last week, which he began by tying together pot use, Benghazi and the Pharrell song “Happy,” the conservative activist said “people need to wake up” about the subversive communist plot.

He suggested that communists in government, following the teachings of Lenin, have deliberately added on debts in order to destroy the U.S. economy. “Of course they don’t talk about it, I’ll tell you who does talk about it: Vladimir Lenin. One of the ways to destroy the United States? Unsustainable debt. People, you got to wake up, you got to wake up.” This, of course, would make George W. Bush the biggest Leninist of all.

However, Carson insisted that he was merely just asking the question: “I don’t know if it is intentional or not, but whether it is intentional or not doesn’t matter, we’ll still be destroyed.”

Ben Carson Thinks Politicians Are Promoting Pot Use To Make People Dumb, Distract From Benghazi

Ben Carson sat down yesterday with WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah to promote his new book “One Nation” and his potential presidential bid. It was quite amusing to watch Carson and Farah lament on WorldNetDaily — which regularly runs articles about how Democrats are literally demonic — that political activists too often “demonize” their opponents.

Carson told Farah that he worried politicians like President Obama and Eric Holder are surreptitiously encouraging marijuana use in order to create a dumb citizenry. That way, doped-up Americans will be distracted by controversies like the name of the Washington Redskins instead of focusing on stories about Benghazi and Fast and Furious.

“When we do things like have our Attorney General and our President say, ‘marijuana is not that bad, I used it and look how I turned out,’ well that’s the problem.”

Instead of smoking pot and listening to songs like “Happy” all day, Carson said Americans should focus on the real issues of the day…like Benghazi.

He said that Americans should instead focus on “the real enemy”: the communist in the White House who wants to “fundamentally change America.”

Mike Huckabee Says Todd Akin Was Attacked For Being A Christian

WorldNetDaily runs a glowing profile today of failed Senate candidate Todd Akin’s new book — which WND just so happens to be publishing — including plaudits from Mike Huckabee, Oliver North and WND editor Joseph Farah.

According to Huckabee, Akin was the victim of a conspiracy by Democrats, the media and “establishment Republicans” to silence good, decent, conservative Christians and take away their freedoms. Huckabee, who campaigned aggressively for Akin, tells WND that criticism of Akin was “destructive to the country we care so deeply about.”

Although Akin attempted to apologize for his infamous “legitimate rape” remark during his campaign, he now says that nothing he said was wrong and insists he was attacked for simply trying to promote biblical values in politics.

“Todd didn’t ask for a war with the party establishment, but he sure did get one,” he writes. “No one in American politics knows better than I do the immediate bias and attacks that come from liberals and the media establishment when Christians with sincere convictions make a move into the political arena. We’ve got to deal with their attacks and have even come to expect them. More shocking are the attacks on social conservatives from party bosses, partisan power brokers and the entrenched GOP establishment. I’m deeply offended by this infighting within the Republican Party, because it is so destructive to the country we care so deeply about.”

“I expected Democrats to pounce on Todd,” Huckabee says regarding the infamous “legitimate rape” interview on a local TV show. “But I was disheartened and outraged when Republicans circled the wagons – not to support Todd and help him overcome an obstacle but instead as a firing squad pointed at the congressman.”

Oliver North had this to say about Akin’s spirited defense of life that got him pilloried, first by partisan Democrats, then by the media and finally by the Republican establishment: “I admire Todd’s stand for the sanctity of life. His steadfast resolve against an onslaught of media bullies and party bosses is the stuff of legend.”

WND.com’s Joseph Farah, who agreed to publish Akin’s “Firing Back,” had this to say: “I could never quite figure out what Todd Akin said that was so offensive to the supposedly pro-life Republicans who attacked him viciously. Had they actually watched the interview? It represents in its entirety one of the best articulations of the life ethic. There’s simply nothing in there that is factually wrong or offensive – unless you are looking to be offended by something. I have watched that interview over and over again in context. Even the interviewer clearly didn’t see anything in Akin’s words to indicate a ‘gotcha.’ He quickly moved on to a different subject without missing a beat. This wasn’t even a minor gaffe. He was technically and scientifically accurate in what he said. This was an example of a media and political lynching.

What does he want to get out of this book? Is it written for revenge? To restart his political career? No, Todd Akin wants what he always wanted – what drove him to run for Congress successfully in the first place. “Everywhere, freedom’s enemies are busy twisting word meanings and attempting to force their opinions on others through what is known as ‘political correctness.’ We should resist this tactic by defending the truth and each other, especially those on our own team. We need to defend truth especially in those areas where liberals are attacking.”

“True freedom builds from the bottom up, and it starts with our ‘selves,’” he writes in “Firing Back.” “In early America, when people heard the word government, they would first think of how each of us, led by God’s Spirit, manages his or her own life. They called it ‘self-government.’ They understood that the character of a citizen was critical to the nature of the country. A nation peopled by wise, hardworking, loving citizens would be altogether different from a nation of dishonest, self-seeking rogues.” (p. 178)

But to be a self-governing people, there must be consensus on what is right and wrong, Akin suggests.

“Perhaps one of the greatest opportunities to return to good ideas and refute bad ideas is through the church,” he writes. “Churches exist in part to warn people of the bad consequences of bad ideas and teach obedience to God’s laws. The source of the Founders’ good ideas was the Bible. They saw the beautiful harmony between God’s Word and the natural world around them. Today, for all the good work our pastors do, many make the mistake of not applying the Bible to the critical issues of our day. WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is outraged that Elton John cited the teachings of Jesus Christ as a reason to support marriage equality, because obviously only anti-equality activists are allowed to point to scripture.

In a column yesterday, Farah offered the musician some “tough love” that is “designed to save people from really bad decisions.”

After calling same-sex marriage an “absurd” “oxymoron” that validates a “vile practice” and will bring down civilization, Farah argued that gay people can only take part in “make-believe marriages.”

“A marriage that is not consummated has long been considered incomplete, not deserving of any legal recognition whatsoever,” he wrote. “So please tell me how a same-sex couple consummates one of these make-believe marriages? Acts of sodomy were never considered consummation in the eyes of the law.”

Not only has man put asunder individual marriages, but people like Elton John, Barack Obama and a host of judges have, some in the name of Jesus, attempted to put asunder the entire concept of marriage.

Mind you, just the practice of homosexuality is an abomination, according to Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 23:13. Romans 1:26-27 show this view did not change after Jesus’ death and resurrection. But what Elton John is advocating and practicing is something more than just the practice of an “abomination” and a “vile practice.” He’s also promoting the profaning of marriage, an institution Jesus said was created by God in the Garden of Eden.

Let me lay some cards on the table, not with the intent of being mean to people who feel differently, but in the spirit of tough love, designed to save people from really bad decisions:

1.Same-sex marriage is an oxymoron. “Marriage” is and shall always remain an institution between one man and one woman. No civilization or culture in the history of the world has ever experimented with same-sex marriage, though there were questionable experiments with polygamy, always fraught with severe and negative consequences. Bible-believing Jews and Christians consider marriage a divinely created institution. This account was confirmed by Jesus in the gospels when He was asked about divorce. What today’s proponents of same-sex marriage seek to do is redefine marriage, claiming this institution that has long been seen as the literal building block of civilized, productive and self-governing societies is “discriminatory” because it prohibits homosexuals from participating. Nothing could be more absurd.

2. Legally speaking, though, even in an increasingly secular society like ours, there is a reason same-sex marriages could never be recognized. A marriage that is not consummated has long been considered incomplete, not deserving of any legal recognition whatsoever. A marriage union that remains unconsummated never happened in the eyes of the law. So please tell me how a same-sex couple consummates one of these make-believe marriages? Acts of sodomy were never considered consummation in the eyes of the law. Again, this suggests that whatever it is the homosexual activists are trying to achieve through their relentless campaign, it is not marriage. It would have to be some complete and utter corruption of the idea of marriage.

It’s time to lay it on the line with some plain talk: Two men cannot marry each other because they cannot consummate that union. Period. End of story. Two women cannot marry each other because they cannot consummate that union. Period. End of story.

Joseph Farah Predicts Obama Readying A 'Clone' To Succeed Him In 2016

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is pretty sure that Hillary Clinton will never win the presidency, and one reason is that President Obama has already found a “clone” of himself who he is grooming to succeed him as president

Farah doesn’t know who this Obama clone is, but he reminds us that “the unknown, undocumented, underachieving Barack Obama arose from nowhere” too.

Point No. 4: I don’t think she can get the nomination. I know what you’re thinking: Who’s going to beat her? The Democratic leadership back bench is not exactly deep. But, let’s face it: It wasn’t in 2008. And that’s when the unknown, undocumented, underachieving Barack Obama arose from nowhere.

Today, Obama remains the de facto leader of the Democratic Party, and he will remain so until the party nominates a new leader. He may not have much in the way of accomplishments as president to speak of, but he has done one thing in the last eight years: He has built a formidable political machine. Don’t you think he’s going to use it? Don’t you think Obama is going to have a say about who succeeds him? And do you think, with the animosity that is so palpable between the Obamas and the Clintons, he’s going to go with someone other than Hillary?

I don’t know who the Democratic nominee will be. But I doubt it is anyone commonly mentioned by the pundits today. That person is known to someone though. It’s known to Barack Obama.

That’s what I think. He’s going to find a clone. And they’re going to run the same drill they ran so successfully in 2008 and 2012.

Will the Obama clone win? I hope not. Depends who the Republicans nominate. If it’s Jeb Bush or Chris Christie, the unnamed Democrat wins – hands down. Even Hillary can beat either one.

While science “can never prove the age of the Earth,” Farah argues, ”God can, however, prove the age of the... MORE >

In an interview with WorldNetDaily published yesterday, Pastor Mark Biltz — who literally wrote the book on the “heavenly signs” disguised in blood moons — reports... MORE >

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah respond in a column today to the news that in intruder was able to climb over the White House fence last week. Farah, of course, sees the incident as proof that Obama has “compromised and degraded” the Secret Service, that he has “no use for borders or immigration laws” and that “no one in America is safe as long as Obama is on watch.” Characteristically, Farah fails to mention that several intruders were able to scale the White House fence during George W. Bush’s presidency as well. But, let me ask... MORE >

Don't let the recent bombing campaign against ISIS and other extremist groups in Syria and Iraq fool you, writes WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah. Farah says in a column today that President Obama is really going after "Syria's Hafez Assad" (Bashar Assad's father who died in 2000) and "Obama is not really at war with ISIS." He explains that Obama is simultaneously allied with the Muslim Brotherhood and "doing the bidding of Saudi Arabia," the Muslim Brotherhood's arch-nemesis. Recall, if you will, what Obama’s prime foreign policy... MORE >

The goals are the... MORE >

Let me pose a hypothetical intellectual challenge: The law that forms the basis for the action against the Giffords in New York is a provision that bans discrimination on... MORE >

Surprise! Fox News completely ignored the latest report, this time from a GOP-led House committee, debunking Benghazi conspiracy theories.  Mississippi’s disputed runoff election keeps getting weirder.  How ironic that conservatives who push restrictive voting laws to fight “voter fraud” are now complaining that their petitions were invalidated for failing to follow election rules. Joseph Farah has a message for Republicans who oppose impeachment: “There is no plea-bargaining with a criminal president. He needs to be removed from office... MORE >

In the latest stop in his self-pitying “comeback” tour, former Republican congressman Todd Akin said that another run for office wasn’t off the table. Speaking last week with Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily, which is publishing his new book, Akin once again framed the controversy over his “legitimate rape” remarks as part of a battle between spiritual good and evil, insisting that God was on his side. He told Farah that he hasn’t dismissed the idea of running for office again because he wants to “tell the truth” and “stand up to evil.... MORE >
