  • Glenn Beck is heading back to Iowa this weekend to do a series of rallies on behalf of Ted Cruz.
  • Speaking of Cruz, we can add Gary Bauer and Larry Tomczak to the ever-growing list of anti-gay activists who have endorsed his presidential campaign. Oh, and Clint Howard.
  • Disgraced Christian patriarchy leader Bill Gothard has a new ministry which has some interesting thoughts about slavery: "If all the slaves would have been trained how to follow these same disciplines of finding and meditating on daily Rhemas, God would have also given them the same prosperity and success."
  • Richard Viguerie warns Christians against supporting Donald Trump: "What will God's judgement on America be if we elect a President who openly and proudly brags about flouting God's laws, and we still choose to entrust him with our country's future?"
  • Finally, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire declares that "the future of Western civilization is under attack" and Christians must rise up and fight back against gay marriage.

Dave Daubenmire: Parents Would Rather Have Their Sons Be Addicted To Drugs Than Gay

Yesterday, anti-gay activists "Coach" Dave Daubenmire and Mike Heath began producing a daily "internet TV show" that is basically Heath and Daubenmire participating in a Google Hangout while railing against the "gay agenda."

On yesterday's inaugural broadcast, Daubenmire and Heath were joined by Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality and LaBarbera and Daubenmire spent a good deal of time discussing their respective distrust of the "establishment" pro-family groups and railed against what they see as the movement's unwillingness to truly fight against the acceptance of homosexuality.

This supposed reluctance to fight, LaBarbera explained, has resulted in things like the legalization of gay marriage, which, in turn, will result in public schools teaching young students how to engage in "safer gay sex" and "oral-anal sex."

That prompted Daubenmire to go off on a tangent about how, if a teenage boy asked to talk to his parents about an important issue, every parent would start praying that their son was not going to tell them that he is gay.

"If your son came to you and said, 'Hey, Dad, I need to talk with you and Mom about something really, really important,'" Daubenmire declared, "for that two hours that you're waiting for that meeting to come, Pete, how many parents would be saying, "Oh Lord, please let it be drugs; Lord, please let it be alcoholism; Oh Lord, please let it be that he got some girl pregnant.' How many parents say, 'Oh Lord please, don't let it be homosexuality'? That's the truth of it, isn't it Pete, that no parent wants to hear that? No parent wants to hear that, yet we teach it as normal in our public schools. It's unbelievable."

LaBarbera, of course, was in complete agreement.

"You're absolute right, Coach," he said. "Nobody is saying, 'Wow, I'm so glad I have a homosexual son."

Dave Daubenmire Says FRC, AFA And The GOP Don't Really Want To End Abortion

Earlier this week, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire appeared on "Talkback with Chuck Wilder" radio program to discuss his long history of anti-choice activism. During the discussion, Daubenmire asserted that Republicans and Religious Right groups do not actually want to end abortion in America because they make too much money exploiting the issue.

After claiming that Democrats will never end abortion because the federal government gives hundreds of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood, which he falsely claimed then gets "recycled out" into Democratic campaign coffers, Daubenmire said that Republicans and groups like the Family Research Council and the American Family Association don't really want to end abortion either.

"I want people to understand this because I know this to be the truth," he said. "Republicans raise hundreds of millions of dollars fighting against Planned Parenthood. All those pro-life Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, I could just go on and on, the American Family Association, they raise hundreds of millions of dollars to end abortion and, Chuck, what do you suppose they do with that money? Yes, you're right. They funnel it to pro-life representatives. So neither one of those people, neither group, Chuck, wants abortion to go away. The Democrats want it to stay because they can raise money on it and the Republicans want it to stay because they can raise money on it. I know that sounds callous, brother, but I'm just telling you that's the way that game is played."

  • Mike Huckabee's struggling presidential campaign has now lost one of its key staffers.
  • Phyllis Schlafly thinks Donald Trump's Muslim immigration ban is an "excellent idea."
  • Liberty University will not be hosting a GOP presidential debate after all.
  • Despite the fact that he's constantly saying the television is a dying medium, Glenn Beck is overjoyed that his network will now be carried by Verizon FIOS.
  • Jack Cashill says that "the White House and Muslim activists share few values, but they do share an enemy – traditional Judeo-Christian civilization. Anything they can do to undermine that civilization – making common sense a hate crime, for instance – they will do."
  • Finally, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire is pretty sure that it was his prayers and activism that got Kim Davis released from jail.

Tenn. State Rep. Mark Pody Was Called By God To Warn That Gay Marriage Is 'Wicked'

Last week, far-right activist "Coach" Dave Daubenmire posted a video of himself introducing Tennessee state Rep. Mark Pody at an event in Nashville designed to generate support for a bill Pody wrote that seeks to negate the Supreme Court's gay marriage ruling by declaring that the state will only recognize marriages between one man and one woman and that any court decision to the contrary "is unauthoritative, void, and of no effect."

Speaking at the event, Pody declared that, in the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling, God told him that he was called to be a watchman, tasked with warning the wicked that the price of their sin would be death and that is why he drafted this legislation.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Pody said, "I believe I'm supposed to be speaking to the unsaved, to the people that are performing same-sex marriages, to the people involved in same-sex marriage, it is wicked, it is wrong and I am doing the best I can to warn them."

"I believe that the bill that we're are trying to put out right now is to say, 'No, it will not happen here!'" he continued. "I believe that Nashville, Tennessee, is the time and the place that we put down the stake and we say, 'No more!'"

Now is the time for Christians to rise up against this "unconstitutional tyranny," Pody declared, because "the Supreme Court is not the Supreme Being" and God is working miracles in generating support for his legislation.

Dave Daubenmire: Government Will Stage Attacks From Far-Right Groups To Justify Gun Confiscation

Conservative activist “Coach” Dave Daubenmire thinks “something stinks” about the recent string of mass shootings, predicting in a column in NewsWithViews.com yesterday that “somewhere, somehow, somebody is directing this entire effort in an attempt to take away our guns.”

Daubenmire speculated that the San Bernardino shooting was a botched attempt to kick off a wave of violence in which terrorist attacks from radical Islamists would be met with attacks on mosques by government agents posing as right-wing extremists, all as part of a duplicitous effort to pave the way for the confiscation of firearms.

While Daubenmire doesn’t know who is responsible — the Bilderbergers, the New World Order, or someone else — he does know that someone or something is orchestrating all of this mayhem.

I believe that terrorism is alive and well in America, but I don’t always believe the “facts” that we are told about the events. I believe that there really is a conspiracy involving those in “high” places. If you are deceived enough to actually believe the narrative coming out of the government and their partners in the media, I really don’t know what to say to you.

We are clearly being conditioned. Although it’s difficult to figure out who the players might be, there is surely no doubt that somebody is trying to set us up. Each time one of these “mass-shootings” occurs there always seems to be a few holes in the “official” story.

I’m not going to take the time to replay every one of the scenarios. Looking for “conspiracies” has become almost a cottage industry on the internet. But one thing that all of these events have in common is a cry for “gun control” and the disarming of law-abiding citizens as the solution to the problem.

Something stinks. Somewhere, somehow, somebody is directing this entire effort in an attempt to take away our guns. We can argue all day long about just who those forces might be, but there can be no doubt that someone powerful is diligently working to advance that agenda.

Imagine this: Another “random” shooting occurs unexpectedly somewhere in the heartland and as expected every available emergency unit responds to the scene. In the recent attack over 350 first responders answered the call. They are sitting ducks for carefully placed bombs remotely exploded when the emergency help races into the building.

Along with the explosion of additional bombs will be a small army of fellow “terrorists” who will descend on the scene with their weapons blazing. This would immediately decimate the first responders and with it a city’s ability to defend the citizenry. Dead cops can’t defend anybody.

What if this “attack” occurred simultaneously in 20 different cities in America?

Although I am not sure of the order of events the second event will be a staged “attack” of a mosque by “right-wing” Christians. Nothing would fit the narrative they have written any better than the poor, peace loving Muslims being attacked by a group of “fundamental” Christians who have not stopped clinging to their God and their guns.

Can you imagine the howls from the left? It would be a two-fer for them; another reason to confiscate all guns while at the same time further demonizing public enemy number one—the Christians. Our government has been warning us for years about the “hateful” pro-lifers lurking outside Planned Parenthood and the radical agenda that these hateful Bible-believers promote.

Some call it the NWO. Some say that “secret societies,” The Illuminati, Bilderbergers, United Nations, or others are behind it all. I am not here to point out who “the man behind the curtain” might be but to hopefully open your eyes to see that there IS a curtain and some shadowy figure is standing behind it. Un-American “President” Obama is merely a front-man.

Dave Daubenmire Blames Planned Parenthood For Clinic Attack: 'Terrorism In The Womb Leads to Terrorism In The World'

“Coach” Dave Daubenmire, a conservative activist and speaker, blamed last week’s mass shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs on the women’s health care provider, insisting in a YouTube video he posted yesterday that Planned Parenthood clinics are “the ultimate terrorists” and “terrorism in the womb leads to terrorism in the world.”

“Folks, there’s terror every day inside those Planned Parenthood clinics,” Daubenmire said. “There was terrorism last week, there will be terrorism next week as long as we continue to allow this murder to take place inside those four walls. Terrorism in the womb leads to terrorism in the world.”

“Planned Parenthood: They’re the ultimate terrorists,” he concluded.

Enjoy This Catchy Jingle On Judicial Power, Starring Bjork

One of the more bizarre things that we’ve ever come across in our daily monitoring is this video, posted yesterday on Dave Daubenmire’s News with Views YouTube page, featuring a song called “Courts Cannot Make Law” written by Christian Reconstructionist and Maryland Republican politician Michael Peroutka superimposed on a scene from Lars von Trier’s 2000 film “ Dancer in the Dark,” staring Bjork.

Peroutka, who has said that Kentucky clerk Kim Davis gave “the entire country a civics lesson” when she defied federal court orders to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples because “any purported law that is not harmonious with [God’s] word can’t be law and is not law,” includes lyrics such as:

There’s a battle going on, a war for your soul

It’s a devil’s deal, it’s mind control

They want you to believe that you have no hope

They’re counting on the fact that you are a dope

And:

You won’t learn the truth in government schools

It’s up to you to know the rules

  • David Lane predicts that Donald Trump will flame out because "he doesn't know Jesus."
  • Jake MacAulay explains that the true purpose of public education is to enslave Christians: "If you can isolate children, and train them to believe that there is a wall of separation between God and government, then you can enslave them—or rather—they will have enslaved themselves."
  • Susan Stamper Brown has some very valid concerns about what might happen if Kim Davis is required to issue marriage licenses to gay couples: "Might the same un-law someday authorize her to issue marriage licenses between stuffed animals and humans? Or robots?"
  • A Muslim started a petition calling on Germany to cancel Oktoberfest and it has received a few hundred signatures, so naturally Glenn Beck sees it as validation of his warnings about "the Caliphate."
  • Finally, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire can't understand why everyone can't see the obvious: "If you just take a few minutes to stop and look around, you will be able to see these Demonic forces hard at work in 'high places.' Can you say the Supreme Court? Can you say Congress? Can you say the White House? Can you not see all of the 'high places' where Satan is in control? "

Right Wing Bonus Tracks - 9/10/15

  • Ted Cruz spoke at David Barton's "Pastors' Briefing" last night on Capitol Hill.
  • Even Joe Arpaio thinks Donald Trump has gone too far with his anti-immigration rhetoric, which is quite an accomplishment.
  • Speaking of Trump, he has reportedly turned down an invitation to speak at the upcoming Values Voter Summit.
  • Dave Daubenmire credits the prayers of his "Salt and Light Brigade" for Kim Davis' release from jail.
  • Finally, Phyllis Schlafly says that "when the Supreme Court ruled that all 50 states must license same-sex unions on the same terms as marriage, the court was implicitly declaring that Christianity and the Bible are wrong."

Dave Daubenmire: Church Needs 'Militant, Violent, Christian Donald Trumps' Not 'Sissified Gospel'

“Coach” Dave Daubenmire is out with a new column today titled “Christianity Needs To Man-Up,” in which he argues that conservative Christians must emulate Donald Trump and be more “violent and militant” in their anti-gay, anti-choice, anti-secular activism.

Lamenting that “the kingdom of darkness” is winning the “culture war,” Daubenmire declares, “It is time to drop the sissified Gospel and reinvigorate the masculine side of our faith.”

This means, we writes, that conservative Christians must dropthe “hate the sin, love the sinner” line and openly declare that gay people are “worthy of death” and that “God hates” homosexuality, abortion and divorce.

“There is absolutely no institution in modern America that Christianity has controlling influence over,” Daubenmire writes, even as liberals “command you to bake homo-cakes and demand you violate your conscience.”

Christians are losing the culture war. Every institution in America is now under the control of those who hate God. Our public schools, government, universities, entertainment, legal, media, political parties, and churches are under the control of the kingdom of darkness.

How has this happened? The kingdom of darkness does its work in the dark. They have seized every one of our institutions without firing a shot. They have used their weapons of lies and deceit to violate and destroy all that is good. They have invaded every Godly institution, bombarded us with lies, and stolen the future of our children and grandchildren.

They have been militant. As a result we have been violated. They have taken from our children what was rightfully theirs. The Kingdom of God has suffered violence. It is time to drop the sissified Gospel and reinvigorate the masculine side of our faith.

Let’s face it. There is absolutely no institution in modern America that Christianity has controlling influence over.

They slaughter unborn babies and force us to pay for it. They sell their little body-parts for personal gain. The command you to bake homo-cakes and demand you violate your conscience.

American Christianity will lead you to Heaven while it let’s the world go to hell.

..

Christians must become more focused…more aggressive with our faith if we are to save Western Civilization. The idea that one can win by surrendering is a doctrine of demons that has infiltrated the American Christian mindset.

“Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them.” Sadly, for the most part, we are taught to embrace, encourage, and love those who practice such fruitless acts. Abortion is the destruction of fruit. Divorce destroys fruit. Homosexuality is fruitless. God hates them all.

I know this will cause some of you to gasp, but Paul, in Romans 1, speaking on behalf of Jesus, warned us that those who practice such things “are worthy of death.” But he didn’t just point the proverbial finger at the one who engages in the act, but also to those who “take pleasure” in those who do it.

Evil is real and some people are evil. It is time we faced up to it. Loving the sinner and hating the sin hasn’t worked. That was Gandhi’s suggestion, not our Lord’s. Loving sinners more than we hate their sin validates our own shortcomings. Jesus called us to “be perfect”, not “love the sinner.”

People are flocking to Donald Trump because he is violent and militant in his language. The church needs some militant, violent, Christian Donald Trumps. It is time to man-up.

Daubenmire Organizing 'Focused Prayer' Effort Aimed At Swinging Justice Kennedy's Gay Marriage Vote

Last month, a federal judge acquitted creationist tax scofflaw Kent Hovind of contempt of court and dismissed conspiracy and mail fraud charges against him and "Coach" Dave Daubenmire is pretty sure that it was the prayer effort organized by his "Salt and Light Brigade" that made the difference.

Fresh off of that victory, Daubenmire is now organizing a solemn assembly outside the Supreme Court on June 14 at which right-wing Christians will gather to repent for America and ask God to break through to Justice Anthony Kennedy so that he will vote against legalizing gay marriage.

As Daubenmire told radio host Chuck Wilder yesterday, his Salt and Light Brigade hopes to organize prayer rallies all over America to take place at the same time in order to "focus their guns at the same target" and "punch a hole in the heavenlies."

"We're going to have a solemn assembly of prayer and repentance, asking God, please God, help us rescue marriage," Daubenmire said. "And we're going to totally focus on Justice Kennedy, we believe he is the swing vote, and we're just going to ask the Lord to forgive us of our sins and turn the heart of Justice Kennedy that he might see the error of his ways and protect marriage."

Not everyone will be able to join Daubenmire outside the Supreme Court for this rally, he realizes, which is why he is asking for people to organize rallies of their own to take place at the same time in order to increase the power of their prayer effort, likening it to hundreds of people gathering with Super Soaker squirt guns and focusing their aim all on the same spot instead of just spraying in all directions.

"Concentrated, focused prayer" is what Daubenmire needs, he said. "We're going to focus all of our power in the same direction rather than just sporadically squirting our guns up in the air."

  • Randall Murphee of the American Family Association defends his organization's regular use of boycotts.
  • Joseph Farah wonders if the time has come for Christians to "recognize they have effectively failed to serve as salt and light in their culture and begin withdrawing from American 'mainstream' society for the sake of their own children and obedience to God rather than man."
  • Glenn Beck interviewed Rep. Steve King on his radio program today and King promised Beck that he could come along the next time King travels to Egypt to meet President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
  • Finally, Dave Daubenmire is not buying all of the claims made by Religious Right leaders that they will not obey any Supreme Court ruling in favor of gay marriage: "So now, they say it is time to disobey. WE WILL NOT OBEY! I hear them bombasting in regard to their anticipated defeat in the Supreme Court’s homo-marriage decision. Really? They are going to go to jail? James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Matt Staver, Franklin Graham, Jerry Johnson, Rick Santorum, Keith Fornier, Rick Scarborough—they’re willing to go to jail? REALLY?"

'Coach' Dave Daubenmire: Bar People Who Believe In Evolution From Sitting On Creationist's Jury

Kent Hovind is a right-wing folk hero known as "Dr. Dino" from his days running Dinosaur Adventure Land, a young earth creationist theme park in Florida, who has spent nearly the last decade in prison for refusing to pay federal income tax on the grounds that all of the money generated by his theme park belonged to God.

With his 10-year prison sentence set to come to an end soon, Hovind now finds himself facing even more legal troubles stemming from his alleged efforts to illegally prevent the government from selling off properties seized from him in the original tax case.

"Coach" Dave Daubenmire has long been one of Hovind's most vocal defenders and he has posted several videos in recent days claiming that the government is persecuting Hovind simply for being a Christian, including one today in which he argued that it is unconstitutional for Hovind to be judged by a jury that does not share his particular Christian worldview and belief system.

Daubenmire said that any potential juror who believes in evolution ought to be barred from sitting on Hovind's jury because that would mean that Hovind would not be judged by a "jury of his peers."

"Wouldn't a jury of Kent Hovind's peers be those who believe the same way that he does?" Daubenmire asked. "Wouldn't it be germane that if you put Kent Hovind on trial, that you would have people on the trial who think like he thinks so that they could, in fact, judge the merits of the case rather than their own biases about creationism or the Bible or Christians or whatever?"

To further demonstrate the rock-solid logic of his position, Daubenmire said "it would be like putting a drug dealer on trial [and] you find somebody on the jury who is totally, one hundred per cent against any type of drugs and thinks drug dealers should be prosecuted and thrown in jail."

"That would not be a jury of peers of that drug dealer":

Dave Daubenmire Blames Kardashian Family's 'Debauchery' For Bruce Jenner's Transition

"Coach" Dave Daubenmire is scandalized by Bruce Jenner's reported transition, declaring on his "News With Views" program today that Jenner has managed to go from the cover of the Wheaties box "to the cover of Froot Loops" in one generation.

And Daubenmire is pretty sure that Jenner's witnessing of the "debauchery" of the Kardashian family has something to do with it.

"What is going on in America?" he asked. "Bruce Jenner was watching as a step-dad at this debauchery going on in the Kardashian house and something has happened to Bruce Jenner that now he is transforming, I'm telling you the truth, from a man — not just a man, a man on the Wheaties box, the world's greatest athlete — to some pathetic transgendered I don't know what you call 'em."

"From Wheaties to Froot Loops," Daubenmire lamented. "Folks, what's going on in America?"

Dave Daubenmire Upset By Katy Perry's 'Satanic' And 'Clearly Demonic' Super Bowl Performance

Like Linda Harvey, "Coach" Dave Daubenmire is very upset about Katy Perry's "satanic" Super Bowl halftime performance.

"It was really a satanic performance that was put on," he said. "I don't know if you know it or not, the deviousness of that whole things, folks. Now they had those little dancing sharks out there, now Katy Perry is appealing to the younger generation ... The deviousness of the NFL and whoever controls the NFL to put Katy Perry on there with that clearly demonic halftime show, wow, we live in unbelievable times":

Daubenmire: Satan's 'Homosexual Mafia' Wants To 'Crush Your Skull'

Filling in as the guest host of Linda Harvey’s “Mission America” radio show this weekend, Dave Daubenmire once again lashed out at the “homosexual activists” whom he blames for an Ohio school board’s decision not to hire him as a high school football coach, claiming that he was the victim of “a public lynching.”

“My crime was I am bold enough to say — as Linda Harvey is — bold enough to say that homosexuality is sin, homosexuality is a deviant lifestyle, homosexuality is destroying the culture,” Daubenmire said. “I was bold enough to stand up and say that and let me tell you something: Satan’s got himself a church, he’s got a church for sure and they don’t back up and they don’t back down and they don’t give a quarter and they don’t stop until they crush your skull. It’s supposed to be the other way around, isn’t it? Isn’t the seed of the woman supposed to crush the skull of the serpent? Why does this battle seem to be going the other way so much? What’s going on folks?”

He said that the “gates of hell” are now prevailing in America: “The Devil seems to be capturing turf that does not belong to him. Marriage used to be the bailiwick, the property, the ownership of the church, it used to belong to the church and we’ve yielded it to the homosexual mafia, the gay lobby in the interest of being fair…when did one’s sin get the right to fairness over others?”

Later in the program, Daubenmire described a recent presentation he delivered about marriage, in which he insisted that same-sex couples can’t get married because they don’t have the right “plumbing.”

“We were talking about marriage and gay marriage as if there can ever be anything other than a man and a woman?” Daubenmire asked. “I said the plumbing don’t even work. What is wrong with us that we would call a sex act marriage? When did sex become love and love become sex? We know better than this, right?”
