On his radio program today, James Dobson interviewed Rep. Michele Bachmann about the IRS scandal and his contention that his organization's application was delayed because he had been critical of President Obama.
Near the end of the discussion, Dobson attempted to connect the issue to the implementation of health care reform, worrying that IRS bureaucrats would have access to everyone's health records and start denying people access to care based on political positions.
Bachmann replied that concerns such as this were exactly why it is so important to repeal Obamacare, which will... MORE >

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) claimed that the Obama administration had tapped the phones of members of Congress, then quickly backtracked, saying he was misunderstood. James Dobson tries to get in on the IRS-victimization game. Mike Huckabee says that if the Obama administration had just asked the AP nicely to hand over information about their source, the AP would have gladly done so. FRC prays that God will "move upon the members of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America to vote overwhelmingly in favor of keeping the Scout's historic moral standards!"... MORE >

A week after President Obama won re-election, James Dobson on Family Talk said that his wife Shirley and her colleague John Bornschein used the National Day of Prayer Task Force to actively pray for Obama’s defeat.
The National Day of Prayer Task Force never did a good job pretending to be nonpartisan, but Dobson’s admission made its far-right bias all too clear.
Of course, with the ‘National Day of Prayer’ scheduled for May 2, we now get to hear Shirley Dobson, who leads the task force, complain during an interview with Janet Parshall yesterday that Obama is not... MORE >

During a Family Talk program to promote his wife’s “National Day of Prayer” effort, James Dobson floated a claim by a pastor that Christians must prepare for imminent and severe persecution and that pastors may spend the rest of their days in prison. While Dobson didn’t name which pastor told him that, he asked his guest Greg Laurie of Harvest Ministries whether he was onto something. Laurie argued that America is experiencing “a complete, total moral meltdown” that seems to “be happening at an accelerated rate.”

Fox News reports that "at least a dozen members of Congress have signed a letter demanding the Secretary of the Army rescind and apologize for a briefing that labeled Evangelical Christians and Catholics as religious extremist groups." Jim Graves, who barely lost to Rep. Michele Bachmann last time around, will be launching another campaign to face her again in 2014. Ken Hutcherson says "progressives on the left side of the debate have an agenda, and it's the same one Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin had." James Dobson grieves "over what Obama and the... MORE >

Glenn Beck calls Rabbi Daniel Lapin "David Barton on steroids," so that pretty much tells you all you need to know about Lapin. Ohio's Republican Gov. John Kasich announced his support for civil unions ... and then immediately backtracked. I cannot believe that we were denied the joys of a Gingrich-Santorum unity ticket! "Family Research Council has taken a bold new action," by which it means launching a daily radio program hosted by Tony Perkins, for which it needs money, of course. Finally, James Dobson says that "at times it seems as though... MORE >

Today, James Dobson’s Family Talk radio program aired a sermon that pastor Jim Garlow delivered at a recent Religious Right conference in which he said that President Obama should have publicly repented during his State of the Union address. Garlow, who during the address tweeted that Obama will “destroy” America and has an “obsession with homosexuality,” said that the president should have repented over his views on legal abortion, marriage equality and the national debt.
We gathered and we huddled around TV sets on Tuesday night to hear the State of the... MORE >

Rick Santorum and James Dobson are back together again, this time promoting Dobson’s “dystopian thriller” on Patriot Voices Radio, which is Santorum’s new radio show. The former presidential candidate said that the Obama administration is pushing “godlessness” and is “overtly hostile to people of faith,” to which Dobson agreed and predicted the creation of euthanasia clinics in the future that result from a dramatic decline in the birth rate.
Later, Dobson lamented that he has “never seen a time when there was less common sense in... MORE >
