Charisma's Jennifer LeClaire: Honey Maid Is 'Trying To Shove' Homosexuality 'Down My Throat'

Charisma new editor Jennifer LeClaire is upset that Honey Maid’s gay-inclusive TV ad is “trying to shove something down my throat for which I have no taste,” writing in a column today that she will “pray for those whose hand may be caught in the cookie jar of sexual immorality when Jesus returns.”

LeClaire also complains that the graham cracker company responded to critics by hiring two “lesbians [to] glue together the complaints to spell out the word ‘love’ in cursive.”

Nowhere in the response ad – or anywhere else that we can find, for that matter – does it say that the artists, Linsey Burritt and Crystal Grover of INDO, are lesbians.

Nabisco’s brand is no longer wholesome. The makers of favorites like Vanilla Wafers and Teddy Grahams is propagating same-sex marriage—complete with newborn babies—in its latest 30-second commercial. Dubbed This is Wholesome, the agenda is indeed anything but.

The commercial kicks off with a man feeding a baby. One would assume the man was the baby’s father. Seconds later, another man leans into the screen and kisses the baby on the head. The commercial reveals the baby’s two fathers taking the baby out for a walk, followed by images of other families spending time together. Of course, Teddy Grahams and Honey Maid graham crackers are intended to be the real star of the spot.

“No matter how things change, what makes us wholesome never will,” the voiceover states. “Honey Maid: Everyday wholesome snacks for every wholesome family. This is wholesome.”

Wholesome? Maybe Nabisco is using a different dictionary than the rest of us. Merriam-Webster defines wholesome as “promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit” and “sound in body, mind, or morals.” By either definition, Nabisco got it wrong.

How did Nabisco respond? The cookie company defended itself, releasing a new commercial showing two women holding up printed sheets of complaints people sent to Nabisco. The lesbians glue together the complaints to spell out the word “love” in cursive. The advertisement’s key message: “Proving that only one thing really matters when it comes to family: love.”

That said, Nabisco is still trying to shove something down my throat for which I have no taste. Although I defend their right to do so, I grieve over the latest example of how immorality is the new normal. Our only godly response is to continue speaking the truth in love and pray for those whose hand may be caught in the cookie jar of sexual immorality when Jesus returns.

Charisma: Pastor's Condemnation Of Homophobia An 'Anti-Christ Message'

The Religious Right magazine Charisma described an Episcopalian reverend’s condemnation of homophobia as an “anti-Christ message” that is corrupting Christianity: “A new, heretical, sin-affirming Christianity is spreading like a virus. How should we respond to the rise of these anti-Christ messages?”

Charisma’s Jennifer LeClaire, who regularly writes anti-gay columns for the outlet, criticized the Very Rev. Gary Hall of the National Cathedral has an apostate “caught in the snare of deception, even heresy”:

“We must now have the courage to take the final step and call homophobia and heterosexism what they are. They are sin. Homophobia is a sin. Heterosexism is a sin. Shaming people for who they love is a sin. Only when all our churches say that clearly and boldly and courageously will our LGBT youth be free to grow up in a culture that totally embraces them as they fully are.”

These aren’t the words of an outspoken gay activist at a rally. Or, well, maybe they sort of are. These words came from the lips of Rev. Gary Hall, the dean of Washington’s National Cathedral, in a recent Sunday sermon. Hall was speaking during a weekend that honored lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth and commemorated the 15th anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s death. Shepard was tragically murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in 1998.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, a nonprofit group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas, told the Christian News Network that Hall’s comments reflect a nation that is playing out Isaiah 5:20, which states, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

“Gary Hall of the National Cathedral is sinning when he claims that opposition to homosexuality is a sin. This is counterfeit Christianity in action—transferring the guilt before God from those who are committing sins (of which homosexuality is one) to those who oppose those sins,” LaBarbera said.

“Obviously, ‘hating’ homosexuals or being so fearful that you fail to offer the hope of the gospel to people caught up in homosexual sin is wrong, but that’s not what Hall is talking about here. He is ‘redefining Christianity’ and sin itself in a way that flips the truth of the Word of God on its head. ... The danger is that this new heretical ‘sin-affirming Christianity’ is spreading in the evangelical Church.”

This sort of deception still shocks me. How can the Very Rev. Gary Hall, who has served as an ordained minister for more than 35 years—which means he was following God long before our nation’s Christian culture deteriorated to this point—hold such beliefs? And what does it mean when the chief ecclesiastical leader and executive officer—a man who works closely with the bishop of Washington and governing bodies to shape and support ministries to the city of Washington, the nation and the world—perpetrates these beliefs? And, moreover, what does this say about the state of Christianity and the times we live in?

I believe LaBarbera is spot-on. Christianity is slowly (or maybe not so slowly) being redefined into a religion that affirms sin. We see this manifesting in several ways, from the hypergrace message that condones sin among Christians to uber-liberal denominations that ordain gays into ministry and beyond.

But there is yet good news: God is still on the throne. God is giving even the most heretical, deceived ones a space to repent. Our job is to discern heresy, refuse to align with it and pray for the captives to be set free. If one of your family members was caught in a snare, wouldn’t you try to rescue him? Many Christians are caught in the snare of deception, even heresy. If you can see clearly, then I urge you to intercede for those the enemy has blinded. Let’s not just sit by and watch the problem get worse. Let’s drop to our knees and petition the King.

Charisma: Gay Spider-Man 'Weaves a Wicked Web' and an 'Unholy Gay Agenda'

It was only a matter of time before Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire took issue with The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield’s asking, “Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?”

LeClaire, who believes that dark spirits are behind gay superheroes, writes today that “Garfield’s push for a gay Spider-Man weaves a wicked web that could help deceive a generation.”

“Unholy gay agenda, Batman!” LeClaire begins her column, “Don’t we have enough gay comic book heroes?”

She wishes there were superheroes, besides Bibleman, who are “casting devils out of their antagonists in the name of Jesus.” However, she says that “the gay agenda would crucify” a “Spirit-filled, tongue-talking superhero raising the dead.”

Unholy gay agenda, Batman! Andrew Garfield, the actor who starred as the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man, apparently wants to see the beloved wall-crawler break Mary Jane’s heart and shack up with another man.

Not only did Garfield imagine his tights-wearing character in a relationship with a man, he’s also even considered who might play his damsel, er, dude in distress.

Really? Don’t we have enough gay comic book heroes? About this time last year, DC Comics outed the Green Lantern. When he’s not wearing his neon-green garb and accomplishing superhuman feats, the chiseled Green Lantern enjoys kissing his new boyfriend. As I noted in my column last year, perhaps DC Comics was trying to compete with its rival, Marvel Comics, which announced just days earlier that it would host the first gay wedding in the June 20 issue of Astonishing X-Men #51.

Of course, Marvel Comics has long proved more progressive on the gay superhero front. Northstar, an X-Men character, became the first openly gay superhuman in American comic book history way back in 1992. Around that same time there was also speculation that Batman was about to come out of his caved closet, which would confirm decades-old rumors that Batman and Robin are much more than friends in tights.

Garfield’s push for a gay Spider-Man weaves a wicked web that could help deceive a generation. Make no mistake, same-sex marriage is not God’s plan.

Here’s another thought: Gay superheroes are now mainstream. But where all the Christian superheroes? Why are Christian superheroes in the closet? I’m not knocking Bibleman, but that franchise is hardly influencing the masses on the silver screen.

Of course, some have said that Superman is a Methodist, Batman is an Episcopalian and Spider-Man is a Protestant. But you hardly see them casting devils out of their antagonists in the name of Jesus (which perhaps some would consider to be as bold as gay superheroes kissing in comics).

I wonder what the world would do if it saw a Spirit-filled, tongue-talking superhero raising the dead. I imagine the gay agenda would crucify him.

Charisma: Satan Using Gay Marriage to Ban Straight Marriage

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire writes today in her column, “Satan’s End-Time Strategy to Outlaw Traditional Marriage in Full Swing,” that “we are in the end times” as a “satanic agenda” will soon “mainstream gay marriage” and “eventually end” marriage between opposite sex couples.

Clearly, our nation is seeing Romans 1 play out before its very eyes because although we know God, we have chosen not to glorify Him (Rom. 1:21).

Our Supreme Court has “exchanged the truth of God for the lie” (v. 25). A growing number of our citizens are fine and dandy with the fact that women exchange "the natural use for what is against nature,” and more are accepting of the fact that men have left "the natural use of the woman" and have "burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful” (vv. 26-27).

Many of our nation's leaders have given in to a “debased mind” (v. 28). Our nation is marked by “all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness” (v. 29). Many of our citizens are “full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful” (vv. 29-31).

Our Supreme Court just opened the door to more of the same. Could it be possible that one day marriage as an institution could be outlawed altogether? I believe that is part of Satan’s end-time strategy.

Paul hints at this in a prophetic letter to his spiritual son, Timothy, more than 2,000 years ago. Paul wrote, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry” (1 Tim. 4:1-3).

We are in the latter times. We are in the end times even now. And many are indeed departing from the faith. Less than 1 percent of 18- to 23-year-olds have a biblical worldview, according to a recent Barna Group survey. Seven in 10 Protestants ages 18 to 30 who went to church regularly in high school said they quit attending by age 23, LifeWay Research reveals. And the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life reports that half of former Protestants who left the church said they turned away from their childhood faith because they stopped believing in its teachings—and about 40 percent said they did so because they do not believe in God.

We are in the latter times. We are in the end times even now. And some are indeed giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Look at the likes of Rob Bell, with his “no hell” theology; John Crowder, with his distorted hypergrace messages; and Carlton Pearson, with his universalistic “gospel of inclusion.” Then there’s the false justice movement that talks about Jesus while holding Bible studies, worship meetings and performing good works—but it’s a different Jesus at the center. These are just a few of the doctrines of demons circulating through the church today that are leading us toward the end-time harlot church.

We are in the latter times. We are in the end times even now. And some are indeed speaking lies in hypocrisy. Some are indeed living with a seared conscience. So the question is, Will 1 Timothy 4:3 be the next part of this prophetic Scripture to come to pass? Will we see governments forbidding marriage? I believe it’s inevitable as we get closer to the Second Coming of Christ. I believe the institution of traditional marriage will come under attack in parts of the earth as the deceptive gay marriage agenda continues to gain momentum.

Today’s rulings from the U.S. Supreme Court are about more than allowing gays to tap into federal benefits that, until now, were reserved for couples in traditional marriages. Today’s rulings set into motion a dynamic that could mainstream gay marriage in this nation sooner than later—and forward the satanic agenda to eventually end a godly institution that’s almost as old as the world itself.

Charisma: Jason Collins Must Launch 'War on Homosexual Tendencies' and 'Repent Before It's Too Late'

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire, who has been freaking out about the prospect of an openly gay player in the NFL, today responded to the news that NBA player Jason Collins came out of the closet by calling on him to begin “declaring war on homosexual tendencies” and “repent before it’s too late.”

LeClaire writes that homosexuality is “a choice” and claims that Collins is “in bondage to a sin,” hoping that “Christian NBA players—and fans—will reach out to him in love and pray for him.”

I am a huge basketball fan, and I admire Collins’ on-the-court skills. Throughout his career, the seven-footer has been a difference-maker for his teams, averaging nearly 4 rebounds per game and adding a few points for good measure. He can take a charge with the best of them and has been dubbed “the pro’s pro.” Indeed, he’s made a much-appreciated contribution to the game of basketball.

Yet as I read Collins’ 33-year struggle over his sexuality, my heart breaks for this basketball giant. In the Sports Illustrated article, Collins admits to wrestling with envy and fear. He talks about not sleeping well. He shares about his years of misery and what it was like to “live a lie.” He even opens up about the battle with “insane logic” in the context of suicide.

As I read his article, I found a sincerity in his words, but I was also disturbed. Collins says he feels free now that he’s come out. He says he feels blessed. He says his parents instilled Christian values in him. He says he enjoyed lending a hand when they taught Sunday school. He says he takes the teachings of Jesus seriously.

It’s heartbreaking. Collins, bless his soul, has not made himself free by coming out. Not truly. He just feels relieved because he doesn’t have to wear the "mask" he referenced in his article anymore. But he’s not free at all. He’s in bondage to a sin that doesn’t line up with the Christian values or the Sunday school teachings he heard as a child. Collins may feel free because he confessed, but he won’t truly be free until he repents. I pray that Christian NBA players—and fans—will reach out to him in love and pray for him.

Collins wants to keep his personal life private, but he just opened himself up to all manner of attention for his lifestyle. Some will celebrate his decision. Others will follow him out of the closet. Still others will be confused or hurt. Collins says he doesn’t mind if fans heckle him. I hope they don’t. Heckling anyone isn’t appropriate, much less someone who has struggled his whole life and continues to struggle—very publicly. Collins says he’s walked a tough, lonely road. And he will continue walking a tough and lonely road without Jesus, who is the only one who can truly set anyone free from envy, fear, misery, living a lie, suicidal thoughts, homosexuality—or any other sin.

God bless you, Jason. I admire your courage. I know how hard it must have been to take this step. Keep banging the boards! Keep setting those hard picks. Keep being the pro’s pro. But, please, consider that acting on gay tendencies is a choice, and repent before it's too late. The freedom you feel from confessing Jesus as Savior and declaring war on homosexual tendencies is far greater than the freedom you feel from coming out as gay to the sports-loving masses.

Charisma: 'There Is a Gay Agenda and It's Working Overtime to Send Millions to Hell'

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire has long been warning readers about the perils of gay super heroes, laws protecting gays from violence and demon rape, which she says makes people gay.

After we reported last month that LeClaire is deeply troubled at the prospect of NFL players coming out as gay, she apparently has not enjoyed the attention she has received.

“The gay agenda swarmed around me like a shark that smelled blood,” she writes in a column yesterday, “the response from the gay agenda to God’s truth is often hate.”

She claimed that gays and lesbians are “lost souls” and people “the enemy has captured” who are now angry just as a dog yells when it is hit with a rock.

LeClaire doesn’t fail to play the victim card either, insisting that people are trying to “silence” her.

“I don’t agree with the gay lifestyle or the gay agenda’s determination to glorify a lifestyle that’s sending masses to hell,” she adds. “There is a gay agenda and it’s working overtime to send millions to hell.”

In response to “reports” from CBS that a gay NFL player was about to come out, I wrote an op-ed a couple of weeks ago suggesting that we don’t need gay role models in professional sports.

Mind you, I never suggested that gays can’t and don’t make positive contributions to society. And I have nothing against gay people. God’s heart breaks for their lost souls. That said, I don’t agree with the gay lifestyle or the gay agenda’s determination to glorify a lifestyle that’s sending masses to hell.

The gay agenda swarmed around me like a shark that smelled blood. I received emails that purposed to intimidate me. I was sought out on Facebook and repulsive messages were posted on my wall. I was told I would rot in hell. I’ve been labeled a bully who wields “clobber verses” despite the fact that my op-ed didn’t offer a single Scripture. I’ve been compared to white slave owners, deemed stubbornly close-minded, and, of course, there’s the tired old homophobe line. One email simply said, “f**k you.” I’ll stop there because to further expound on the evil that the gay agenda unleashed against me is not edifying.

What was my crime? Telling the truth. God’s truth is love, and it doesn’t always feel good or sound pretty. But the response from the gay agenda to God’s truth is often hate. Still, despite the persecution, I stand in prayer for those the enemy has captured. Like God's heart, my heart breaks for their lost souls. I am contending for light to flood in, deception to break and repentance to come.

It may be working. And that may be why I got so much backlash. There’s an old saying that goes something like this, “Throw a rock at a pack of dogs and the one that yells is the one that got hit.” Could it be possible that God’s truth is pricking the hearts of those yelling loudest? Could it be possible that conviction is trying to settle in on the hearts of the ones who make the loudest threats? I pray that’s the case because the alternative is that they are flowing in a reprobate mind.

I imagine this column will drive more hateful comments against me. But God’s love in me will not bow down to the threats and name-calling. There is a gay agenda and it’s working overtime to send millions to hell. I will not remain silent. I stand in hope that God will use my words to prick the hearts of some who may find freedom in Christ and work to help set others free. Amen.

Charisma to NFL Gays: Stay in the Closet!

Jennifer LeClaire, news editor of Charisma, a magazine and publishing house for Pentecostal Christians, is terrified that the gay agenda “may soon enough seep into Sunday afternoon football” and she has a message for gay NFL players: stay in the closet. Charisma’s daily email newsletter hypes her story this way:

In an age of openly gay clergy preaching the gospel, it wouldn’t be nearly as shocking to see a muscle-bound NFL pro doing a wacky dance after scoring a touchdown. But God forbid it happens.

Don't straight players ever do wacky dances? LeClaire frets about speculation that a professional football player will come out – speculation that has grown with the number of outspoken straight-but-gay-supportive players like Brendon Ayanbadejo. She insists that gay football players should stay in the closet to avoid enticing young people into a sinful lifestyle. All emphases are in the original.

Professional sports should stay out of step. If it’s not supposed to matter whether or not an NFL player is gay, then why do we need to know about his sexual orientation? The gay agenda wants us to know because it wants to shape and mold the minds of the next generation. It’s much the same as the gay superhero drama. Shining a positive spotlight on gay role models in any industry serves to validate homosexuality, which is clearly a sin.

LeClaire is worried that “CBS is reporting that a gay NFL player may soon come out of the closet, which would stir up post-season drama in more ways than one.”

When I was a kid, watching football on Sunday afternoons was a family tradition for many on my block. But as the gay agenda makes its public relations push from all sides, expect to see more gay professional athletes coming out of the closet in 2013, especially if the U.S. Supreme Court validates gay marriage at a federal level before football season begins.

In an age of openly gay clergy preaching the gospel, it wouldn’t be nearly as shocking to see a muscle-bound NFL pro doing a wacky dance after scoring a touchdown. But you can bet whoever comes out first will be the poster child for the radical gay agenda’s campaigns as they seek to make all things LGBT mainstream in a nation under God that’s divided on gay marriage.

Where will the gay agenda go next to recruit kids who are confused about their sexual identity? How should the church respond to youth who need to know who they are in Christ so they can avoid the eternal consequences of homosexual sin?

LeClaire’s message is not particularly surprising, given that she has previously warned against the perils of gay demon rape and recently denounced as anti-God “wickedness” the protection of gay people in the  Violence Against Women Act.  And it’s worth remembering that last fall Charisma publisher Steven Strang was helping Harry Jackson raise money for his not-very-successful plan to use marriage equality as a racial wedge issue against President Obama in swing states.

Charisma: Laws Protecting Gays from Domestic Violence Part of Anti-God Agenda

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire, who has warned about the perils of gay demon rape and superheroes, today is upset that the reauthorized version of the Violence Against Women Act included LGBT protections.

She claims that President Obama “will stop at nothing to push the gay agenda down our throats,” urging people to ask God to “help us push back the wickedness that’s pushing against His kingdom on earth.”

Women everywhere celebrated when President Barack Obama reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act on Thursday. The landmark 1994 law aims to curb domestic abuse. But Obama snuck the gay agenda into the mix.

“All persons must be protected from violence, but codifying the classifications ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ as contained in S. 47 is problematic,” the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops wrote. “These two classifications are unnecessary to establish the just protections due to all persons. They undermine the meaning and importance of sexual difference.”

President Obama is proving that in his second term he will stop at nothing to push the gay agenda down our throats despite a family-friendly stance during his first presidential campaign. Now, President Bill Clinton is helping him, writing a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court suggesting the anti-gay marriage bill he signed into law in 1996 is unconstitutional and should be overturned.

You might expect politicians to waffle on issues where new research becomes available to enlighten us. Even preachers get new revelation on old truths that changes the way they look at Scripture. But it’s troubling when a president’s core values change in a matter of a few years from standing against gay marriage to doing everything in his political power to force the minority view on the majority who stand for traditional values, even going so far as to piggyback the agenda on an issue with widespread support (violence against women).

Continue to pray for our president. The Bible says a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways (see James 1:8). Some may say that our president isn’t double-minded at all, that he always planned to push the gay agenda during his second term. Only God knows. And only God can help us push back the wickedness that’s pushing against His kingdom on earth. Don’t stop praying. And don’t stop speaking out. Amen.

Religious Right Reacts to Sandy Hook Shooting by Blaming Lack of Government-Dictated School Prayer

Bryan Fischer, Mike Huckabee and James Dobson’s claims that the school shooting in Connecticut represents God’s judgment on the U.S. are no anomalies. Indeed, many other Religious Right commentators have also claimed that the Sandy Hook shooting is part of divine punishment.

David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network defended Fischer and Huckabee’s statements that the prohibition on state-mandated school prayer was responsible for the shootings:

Guess what folks? Huckabee and Fischer are not alone. There are millions of evangelicals who believe the same thing. This is not heartless. It’s based on the biblical principle of reaping and sowing. Not that these little children sowed anything but are our schools left unprotected because of the past actions of our nation when it comes to removing God from our public schools?

The conversation is now all about banning guns but should the conversation really be about allowing God back into public schools? Food for thought. It's a discussion worth having.

Connecticut Pastor Clive Calver in Charisma similarly argued that the shooting is a “wake-up call” from God to secular New Englanders:

Our prayer is that this evil, this unspeakable horror, would be the turning point for what God is doing in New England. We’ve spent the last nearly eight years here, breaking up the land and laying seed for a harvest—or revival in New England.

Maybe, just maybe, this is the wake-up call. Maybe, just maybe, this is when the church springs into action, being the hands and feet of Jesus and shining His light in this darkness. People here need Jesus and it’s our job to introduce Him to them.

Charisma’s news editor Jennifer LeClaire maintained that state-sponsored prayers in public schools “could have prevented” the shooting:

But if God is for us, who can be against us? I believe God has been waiting for His people to rise up with a unified voice of righteousness against the immorality in this nation. I believe God has been patient through our prayerlessness. And I believe if we set our hearts toward reinstituting Christian prayer in schools it could help fuel the prophesied Great Awakening in this generation.

Some experts are reporting that nothing could have prevented the Newtown school shooting. Again, I beg to differ. I think prayer could have prevented it. And I think reinstating prayer in public schools can prevent the next mass murdering from stepping foot on campus and prematurily ending more innocent lives.

So, in the wake of yet another tragedy, can we please put prayer back in schools now?

William Murray of Government Is Not God PAC also said the lack of government-dictated prayer in public schools is to blame:

In the vast majority of America’s public schools, the authority of God has been replaced with the authority of the iron fist of government. Morals? Without the authority of God, there are no morals, and none are taught in the public schools today. The ethics that are taught are situational, perhaps the same situational ethics that led to the logic that caused the tragic shootings in Newtown.

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah claimed the shooting was God’s judgment over America’s “abandonment of God and His righteous laws” and for apparently following the path of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union:

But, of course, that’s just a Band-Aid on a culture mortally wounded by its abandonment of God and His righteous laws.

And that’s why we all need to expect more Sandy Hooks, not fewer.

What should we expect when we not only prohibit weapons of self-defense in our schools, but when we banish the Creator from them?

Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court decisions that removed prayer from the public schools of America. Just look what has happened since. It’s not that God is exacting punishment on America as a result. He is giving America over to the desires of its wicked heart.

Think of the societies and governments that have chosen this path before us – Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Mao’s China. Were those societies better off as a result? Or were their judgments quickened? Did the bloodshed cease? Or did it increase beyond the imagination of anyone except the tyrants who imposed it?

I don’t fear guns. But I do fear the wrath of a God who turns His back on a nation like America has turned its back on Him.

How many more Sandy Hooks do we need to see before we realize something has gone very wrong in America?

Charisma Says Satan is Behind Law Limiting Ex-Gay Therapy, May Lead to Bible Ban

California’s new law preventing pseudo-scientific sexual orientation conversion therapy from being used on minors has not gone over well with anti-gay activists. Charisma magazine news editor Jennifer LeClaire even believes that California may soon decide to “outlaw the Bible” as a next step. LeClaire claimed that homosexuality is caused by demonic “spirit of immorality” that “enters in through some sort of abuse and the lies of the enemy,” Satan. “Sexual orientation change efforts can help set the captives free,” LeClaire said. “That’s why the enemy saw to it that California, a state with a high gay population rate, bans such therapy.”

When he signed the bill on Saturday, the liberal governor said change therapy would “now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery.”

Really? Since when is helping a confused teenager under assault by powers of this dark world a dustbin of quackery?

I don’t believe kids are born gay. I don’t have all the answers, but I believe there’s a spirit of immorality involved at the root level. I believe it often enters in through some sort of abuse and the lies of the enemy that follow. I believe it involves emotional and spiritual brokenness. I believe deliverance is available to those oppressed by this spirit. And I believe sexual orientation change efforts can help set the captives free. That’s why the enemy saw to it that California, a state with a high gay population rate, bans such therapy.

What’s next for California lawmakers? Banning the gospel—or any practice that aims to reduce or eliminate people going to hell? Will Brown relegate the good news of Christ to the dustbin of quackery, too? Will California outlaw any ministry that does not affirm or encourage experimentation with or acceptance of homosexuality? Will churches lose their tax-exempt status if they preach the gospel?

Don’t think it can’t happen. It’s illegal to carry a Bible in some countries. Missionaries are barred from evangelizing in some countries. It’s officially against the rules to pray in the public square in some countries. Many countries are closed the gospel altogether and if you preach you could end up in prison or heaven.

California leads the nation in many trends. After trampling parental rights with this new bill, could it be possible that California will be the first to outlaw the Bible, prayer, missionaries or even the gospel itself, too?

Charisma Editor Warns that 'The Rise of Gay Super Heroes' is an 'Example of the Spirit of Immorality Waging War on Young Souls'

Jennifer LeClaire, the news editor of Charisma Magazine, is warning against new comic books that feature openly gay superheroes, explaining that she views “the rise of gay superheroes as just another example of the spirit of immorality waging war on young souls.” She writes that the “the industry is planting seeds in young minds” of “the spirit of sexual immorality” and asks readers to “pray for the people behind the industries that are pumping out anti-Christ content laced with immorality and idolatry of all kinds”:

Some have said the recent same-sex moves in the comic book industry are about driving more revenue to the bottom line. Others claim it’s political correctness. I can’t judge the motives of man’s heart. No matter the motive, I see the rise of gay superheroes as just another example of the spirit of immorality waging war on young souls. Although gay comic book heroes are far from the only example of how the spirit of immorality is targeting kids, it’s one of the most blatant I’ve seen in some time.

By printing comic book covers showing gay marriage and men kissing within the publication's pages, the industry is planting seeds in young minds that this is a cultural norm. Sadly, it may be a cultural norm—54 percent of American adults consider gay or lesbian relations morally acceptable, according to a recent Gallup poll. Nevertheless, gay marriage is not a biblical norm. People can twist Scriptures to show God smiling on the spirit of immorality in any form it takes—and homosexuality is merely one manifestation looking for the Christian nod in today’s society. But that doesn’t make it true.

The word the Holy Spirit brought to my mind is “insidious,” which Merriam-Webster defines as “awaiting a chance to entrap (treacherous); harmful but enticing (seductive); having a gradual and cumulative effect (subtle); and of a disease—developing so gradually as to be well established before becoming apparent.” Insidious is the absolute right word to describe the spirit of immorality’s work in the earth. The injection of gay superheroes into our children’s worldview is just one of the most shocking recent examples.

One Million Moms may have said it best: “Children desire to be just like superheroes. Children mimic superhero actions and even dress up in costumes to resemble these characters as much as possible. Can you imagine little boys saying, ‘I want a boyfriend or husband like X-Men’? Why do adult gay men need comic superheroes as role models? They want to indoctrinate impressionable young minds by placing these gay characters on pedestals in a positive light.”

We’re in an all-out war for the next generation—a generation too young to understand the battle. The spirit of immorality is working overtime to seduce our children—and the spirit of immorality doesn’t fight fair. We need to bind the spirit of sexual immorality. But we also need to pray for the people behind the industries that are pumping out anti-Christ content laced with immorality and idolatry of all kinds. We need to pray because I believe people who are leading our children into sin will pay a price if they don’t repent.

Tony Perkins, Rick Scarborough, Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz, and the Benham Brothers will all be teaming up for a "Star Spangled Sunday" event on September 14. Jennifer LeClaire has a warning: "Satan's army is highly organized and his human followers are rallying the troops. Satanists are actively working to get monuments erected to the false god they serve even while others kill in his name. The prince of the power of the air is no longer willing to work behind the scenes in our media. He wants a place of prominence in our culture." According to Gordon... MORE >

Charisma new editor Jennifer LeClaire is upset that Honey Maid’s gay-inclusive TV ad is “trying to shove something down my throat for which I have no taste,” writing in a column today that she will “pray for those whose hand may be caught in the cookie jar of sexual immorality when Jesus returns.” LeClaire also complains that the graham cracker company responded to critics by hiring two “lesbians [to] glue together the complaints to spell out the word ‘love’ in cursive.” Nowhere in the response ad – or anywhere else that we can... The Religious Right magazine Charisma described an Episcopalian reverend’s condemnation of homophobia as an “anti-Christ message” that is corrupting Christianity: “A new, heretical, sin-affirming Christianity is spreading like a virus. How should we respond to the rise of these anti-Christ messages?” Charisma’s Jennifer LeClaire, who regularly writes anti-gay columns for the outlet, criticized the Very Rev. Gary Hall of the National Cathedral has an apostate “caught in the snare of deception, even heresy”: “We must now have the courage... MORE >

Oh good, Christine O'Donnell is thinking of making another run for the Senate. Apparently, Rep. Peter King is now thinking of running for president solely because some reporter from Newsmax convinced him that it is a good idea. Jennifer LeClair prays that Lady Gaga will start "going gaga over Jesus and used her celebrity for His glory, millions would stop buying immoral filth and start singing songs to God." Michael Brown tells closeted and married gay men that "commitment to love your wife and your children trumps your sexual desires and romantic attractions... MORE >

It was only a matter of time before Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire took issue with The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield’s asking, “Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?” LeClaire, who believes that dark spirits are behind gay superheroes, writes today that “Garfield’s push for a gay Spider-Man weaves a wicked web that could help deceive a generation.” “Unholy gay agenda, Batman!” LeClaire begins her column, “Don’t we have enough gay comic book heroes?” She wishes there were... 25). A... MORE >

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire, who has been freaking out about the prospect of an openly gay player in the NFL, today responded to the news that NBA player Jason Collins came out of the closet by calling on him to begin “declaring war on homosexual tendencies” and “repent before it’s too late.” LeClaire writes that homosexuality is “a choice” and claims that Collins is “in bondage to a sin,” hoping that “Christian NBA players—and fans—will reach out to him in love and pray for him.” I am a huge basketball... “The gay agenda swarmed around me like a shark that smelled blood,” she writes in a column yesterday, “the response from the gay agenda to God’s truth is often hate.” She claimed that gays and lesbians...
