Televangelist Jim Robison yesterday wrote a post on “The Gay Challenge” in response to Michael Sam’s announcement that he is gay. Robison warned that soon “Congress and the courts will impose same sex [sic] marriage on the American people even though their numbers are small when compared with the total population,” warning that such marriages are “an assault not only on truth, natural acts, and marriage, but an attack on the very possibility that God gave His creation a reliable standard to follow.” He included a message about Sam’s decision to... Robison: Gay Marriage & Abortion Rights Part Of A 'Furious Flood Of Evil Threatening To Destroy Our Nation'

Back in 1980, televangelist James Robison said he was “sick and tired of hearing about all of the radicals, and the perverts, and the liberals, and the leftists, and the communists coming out of the closet; it’s time for God’s people to come out of the closet, out of the churches and change America.” In a commentary posted on his blog last week, Robison repeated the refrain: “While so many others are coming out of the closet in defense of their non-biblical practices, it is time for pastors, priests and all true believers to come out of the closet and stand for... David Barton will receive Ohio Christian University's very first Faith & Liberty Award for being such an awesome historian. When Ted Cruz spoke at a Texas Federation of Republican Women gathering over the weekend, he received an eight minute standing ovation. On a related note, Mike Huckabee says that people like Cruz are hurting the Republican Party. Speaking utterly without irony, Glenn Beck called Oprah Winfrey “the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people." James Robison has had enough: "I am declaring America is being... MORE >

Just as the GOP’s hyperventilation and grandstanding over Benghazi turned up empty, so are their claims that the IRS has been targeting right-wing groups. New reports show that the IRS did apply extra scrutiny to groups with phrases like “Tea Party” in their names…but the agency also applied the same scrutiny to groups with “progressive” or “occupy” in their titles. This backs up an earlier story from The Atlantic which also found that liberal groups had been targeted. Prior to these revelations, we learned that the White House had no... MORE >

Televangelist James Robison warns that the drive for marriage equality comes from “Satan himself,” writing in a blog post that the debate over legalizing same-sex marriage is part of a “satanic intent to take away freedom” and “a cosmic battle between God and Satan” and “good and evil.” While discussing marriage equality legislation in Illinois, Robison said that Satan and “and his demonic forces” are pushing the bill in order to grow the size of government as part of a “liberal, inverted, secular agenda.” Keep in mind... On his radio show today, Glenn Beck basically begged Sen. Rand Paul to take his "2123B" conspiracy theory seriously and start investigating it. Matt Barber and Mat Staver say that all abortion providers are "quacks" and "serial murderers." It seems pretty clear that if you call someone an "arrogant ni**er," you are probably very close to being prejudiced. Bryan Fischer says he only blocks people on Twitter for using profanity, which is a total lie since we have never used profanity but he has blocked us. James Robison... MORE >

Jeffrey Kuhner says "leftists have perpetrated most terrorist atrocities in America." Rick Green echos that idea and wonders if Democrats should be banned from owning guns. Rep. Louie Gohmert is so in tune with the Religious Right that he is filling in for FRC's Tony Perkins on his radio broadcast today. Os Hillman says gay rights are not equal to civil rights because being black is not a sin. Finally, James Robison links the Boston bombing to legalized abortion: "While Americans and freedom loving people around the world openly express their horror at... MORE >
