Institute On The Constitution: Of Course There Should Be A Religious Test For Public Office!

Earlier this week, the New York Times reported on the efforts of a group of church-state separation activists, led by Todd Stiefel, who are trying to remove long-forgotten articles in seven state constitutions that require people holding public office to believe in God.

This did not sit well with Jake McAuley, the chief operating officer of Michael Peroutka’s Institute on the Constitution, who writes in BarbWire today that it is “impossible” for an elected official who doesn’t believe in God to fulfill his or her duties. “This isn’t about discrimination or bigotry,” he writes. “ It’s about ensuring that those holding office in America are committed to the true, lawful, American philosophy of government.”

Peroutka, who was recently elected to a county office in Maryland, has declared all laws passed by his state legislature null and void because the body violated "God's law" by legalizing gay marriage.

Now, let’s be clear. Mr. Steifel may not believe that there is a God. And no one is forcing him to do so.

But if he doesn’t believe that God exists, it follows that he doesn’t believe that God-given rights exist either.

And if he doesn’t believe that God-given rights exist, then how would you expect him, if elected, to defend and protect those rights?

You see, when someone is elected to office he swears an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the God-given rights that are secured thereby. To elect someone who does not believe that God exists, is to ask them to do that which is impossible for them to do.

The drafters of our state constitutions understood this simple logic and so they included these provisions designed to protect us from officeholders who do not share the American philosophy of law and government.

Think of it this way.

Suppose instead of not believing in God, Mr. Stiefel informs us that he does not believe that there exists a city called Cincinnati, Ohio.

By not believing in Cincinnati, Mr. Stiefel breaks no law that we can punish him for.

But now suppose that a few of us have decided to take a bus trip to visit Cincinnati. We advertise for a driver for the bus and Mr. Stiefel answers our advertisement.

Is Mr. Stiefel qualified to drive us to Cincinnati?

Do you see the problem? Once he started the bus, what would Mr. Stiefel do next? How would he get us to a place the existence of which he denies?

Of course he is not qualified. He not only doesn’t know the way. He doesn’t even believe that there is a way. He is not qualified to take us to a place that, in his own mind, does not exist.

So this constitutional requirement that an office holder must believe in God is a logical and consistent protection against those who might drive our constitutional republic in a bad direction.

This isn’t about discrimination or bigotry. It’s about ensuring that those holding office in America are committed to the true, lawful, American philosophy of government.

BarbWire Pundit: War On Christmas And Obama Foreign Policy Will Cause God To Destroy U.S.

Writing today in the conservative outlet BarbWire, Dr. J.P. Sloane suggests that President Bush’s approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict brought about Hurricane Katrina and Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon’s fatal stroke. Sloane describes such incidents as acts of God meant to punish the U.S. for not sufficiently supporting Israel as well as Sharon for bowing to U.S pressure.

Now, the right-wing commentator claims, President Obama may bring about “the destruction of America” due to his treatment of Israel.

Not only is the Obama administration’s foreign policy putting American at risk of divine retribution, Sloane writes, but so is the country’s “Paganistic heathen slope of perversions” and the supposed War on Christmas.

While the White House is pushing Congress to not levy anymore sanctions on the terrorist nation of Iran, it seeks to impose sanctions on the only democracy and best friend of the United States, the small nation of Israel. Israel is 2 1/3 times smaller than California’s San Bernardino County, as opposed to Israel’s enemies who total the size of the whole of the United States of America. What could the Obama Administration be thinking? Who would advise the Obama Administration to do such a thing? We would be presumptuous to make any claim, but the Muslim Brotherhood does come to mind.

In the Bible we see how God uses acts of weather and nations to bring disaster to people who thumb their noses at Him. Consider when we forced Israel to give up Gaza “for peace” and the Israelis had to force their own people to not only vacate Gaza—but do the unthinkable—dig up the graves of their dead and – unceremoniously – take their exhumed corpses with them. Be forewarned America—God is not mocked (Galatians 6:7).

The day the Bush Administration leaned on Israel’s Prime Minister, Arial Sharon, to withdraw from the Gaza, turbulence began to stir in the Mid-Atlantic which became known as “Katrina!” Shortly after the removal of the Jews and their dead from Gaza, Katrina hit the city of New Orleans, breaching the city’s levy at what is known in New Orleans as “the West Bank!” Thousands of New Orleans citizens were flooded from their homes, and many sought shelter in other states. On the heels of the Jews being forced to remove their dead from Gaza, New Orleans was giving up some of its dead from the above ground crypts that dot the city. (In New Orleans they have to bury the dead above ground due to the city being below sea level.) In December—on the heels of the Gaza pullout and America’s Katrina disaster—Prime Minister Ariel Sharon—who capitulated to the Bush Administration’s demand to pull out of Gaza—was stricken with a stroke which left him in a comma until his death in January of this year.

Friends, what we are seeing is the reason America is not mentioned as a world power in Bible end times prophecy. As America continues to travel down the Paganistic heathen slope of perversions—and atheists attacking Christians and Jews—while Muslims are celebrating their holidays in the very capital of our country—yes in our very own White House—Christmas—a legal American holiday—is under attack on a regular annual basis! Obama has reduced our Navy to a weakened state not seen since before 1917, and our overall military strength is at pre-World War Two levels!

As for the Obama Administration—sanctions against Israel? Divide Jerusalem and make East Jerusalem the capital of a pseudo-nation called Palestine—really Obama? Are you sure you want to go there and have as your legacy that you were the President who reigned over the destruction of America and brought about the demise of the late, great United States?

Laurie Roth: God Behind GOP's 2014 Victories

Conservative talk show host Laurie Roth knows who was behind last night’s election results: God. Writing today for BarbWire, Roth proclaims that the Republican triumph was an act of God...

What Matt Barber Does And Doesn't Find Appalling

Yesterday, we reported that Matt Barber’s conservative website BarbWire published an anti-gay column by Philip Stallings, a self-described “theonomist” who recently advocated for the “lawful execution” of gay people – or “sodomites.”

Stallings’ column has disappeared, and today Barber tweeted at us, “Wow! Thanks for the tip. We obviously weren’t aware of that & find the position appalling. The answer is life in Christ.”

Well. It’s good to have Matt Barber say he finds the idea of executing gay people appalling. We agree.

But if that’s the case he ought to consider vetting the material he promotes a little more carefully. Just over a week ago we noted that BarbWire had run a column praising Pastor Steven Anderson, who has called for the execution of gays, and has said, “You want to know who the biggest hypocrite in the world is? The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers and not for homosexuals.”

And given how much anti-gay extremism is promoted by Barber and his Religious Right allies, that got us wondering if anything else short of calling for the killing of gay people would cross the line for Barber.

We collected some other statements that Barber apparently doesn’t find appalling, because they’ve all been in columns promoted on his site:

Here are some other things we find appalling that Matt Barber seemingly does not:

Jeff Allen, a BarbWire editor, compares the gay rights movement to “a malignant cancer” and says, “Each victory for the homosexual activists represents another nail in America’s coffin.”  Allen has supported brutal anti-gay laws in Uganda, Nigeria, and Ethiopia, which include imprisonment not only for sexual conduct but also for joining social clubs or advocating for equality. Allen was upset when criticized for his “innocent mistake” of calling a fake photo of “NAMBLA for Obama” an example of “the undeniable link between homosexuality and pedophilia.” More Allen: “Satanism, sodomy, and slaughter are each part of the Devil’s sinister agenda to destroy America.”

BarbWire content editor Gina Miller has written that the “demonic” gay rights advocates are advancing “Satan’s tyrannical desire to crush Christianity” and warned last year that if gays get their way “Christians here in America will be in danger of state-sanctioned murder for their beliefs.” In June, Miller responded to the announcement that some Boy Scout troops would march in New York’s LGBT pride parade by calling it “a perverse attack on young boys who are being used as little tools by an evil movement of sexual degenerates who cannot reproduce, so they must recruit.”

This spring, BarbWire published a column by former Indiana lawmaker Don Boys recounting his attempt to recriminalize homosexuality. In a similar column a few years earlier, Boys had explained that he wanted to make homosexuality a crime punishable by up to twelve years in prison.

Robert Oscar Lopez wrote for BarbWire that almost every situation “involving a same-sex couple with exclusive custody of small children is adult misconduct at best or a crime against humanity at worst.”

BarbWire publishes notorious anti-gay activist Scott Lively, who wrote this summer that the US and its State Department had become “The Great Satan” of the world for opposing anti-gay legislation overseas. Lively has promoted anti-gay policies in Uganda and around the world.

And that’s just a sampling of the anti-gay extremists who have found a home on BarbWire. Not to mention Barber himself, who says he has been “called by God” to “sound the alarm” about the fact that gay sex is always sinful, and “The wages of sin is death.”

We’re just scratching the service. BarbWire’s extremism is not limited to anti-gay activities. It publishes just about anything you could imagine about President Barack Obama. BarbWire has published calls for God to “cut short” Obama’s presidency and claims Obama worships “Lucifer/Moloch” and intends “to turn the USA into the Marxist-Islamic North American Caliphate.” Among the conspiracy theories it promotes:

We don’t know about Barber, but we find that appalling.

BarbWire Runs Column By 'Theonomist' Who Backs Execution Of Gays

As we’ve noted before, Matt Barber’s website BarbWire has become quite the outlet for extremists. Today, BarbWire promotes as one of its “Top Stories” a column called “Repent! For the Kingdom of Sodom is At Hand.”  Columnist Philip Stallings bemoans growing support for LGBT equality among millennials, blaming it on “the public school system’s indoctrination of wickedness.” Stallings praises civil magistrates in North Carolina who have refused to issue marriage certificates to “sodomites.” And, of course, he cites the over-hyped controversy over subpoenas in Houston, and the Alliance Defense Fund’s concocted controversy about the “Hitching Post” wedding chapel business in Idaho to portray equality advocates as enemies of religious liberty:

When are we going to realize that this is war? There can be no doubt that the trend now is not only to bully and wreak havoc among Christians, but to lock up Pastors and anyone else that stands for the truth until God’s Law is eradicated from their mist.

This is nothing less than a war and Christians need to be standing up everywhere in this nation contending earnestly for the faith! We should be getting just as passionate in our message of “change” and call upon this nation to repent and to follow God’s Law on this matter.

Stallings is identified on BarbWire as a “Political Theonomist.” That’s a term used by Christian Reconstructionists who believe government should be enforcing their interpretation of Old Testament law, like Gary North and Michelle Bachman mentor John Eidsmoe.

Turns out that’s exactly what Stallings believes. His Twitter feed links to a Christian radio show on which he spent nearly half an hour on August 25 arguing that the government should execute homosexuals – or “sodomites.”

It’s my position that the role of the state is morally obligated to obey God’s law…I am for lawful execution of the homosexual.

When the show’s surprised hosts pushed back and asked whether he would support other things called for in the Old Testament, like the stoning of rebellious children, Stallings said God commanded whole nations to be destroyed “all the way down to their children” and that the rebellious son in the Bible was “refusing their parents’ commandments and was openly rebellious in the community.”

And, yeah, I’m for what the Bible teaches in that regard, along with the murderer, and the rapist, and the kidnapper, and in this case the sodomite.

Stallings described his understanding of Theonomy as meaning that “God’s law is implemented. The civil magistrate must be moral, and the only way we could say someone is moral is if they’re obeying God’s law. In other words, the state is not an autonomous being. It is not executing the law morally if it’s being disobedient to God’s law.”

Excerpts below from Stallings on “Reformation Nation”

Paranoia-Rama: Beware 'Mussolini' Obama, Gay 'Terrorists' … And People Voting

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

With the election less than two weeks away, conservative commentators are making some pretty terrifying predictions about how President Obama will serve out the remainder of his term. But last-minute Obama-bashing won’t distract them from their other, equally important, job: attacking gays and lesbians.

5. Ernst Goes There

Since securing the GOP nomination for her state’s open U.S. Senate seat, Iowa state Sen. Joni Ernst has been trying to downplay her extremist record.

But the Republican candidate is having a hard time running away from her past remarks on such issues as the danger of the UN’s Agenda 21 and the ability of local law enforcement to arrest federal officials implementing Obamacare.

In the latest example of Ernst’s record catching up to her, a video surfaced this week of the candidate telling an audience at a 2012 NRA event that the reason she takes her gun “virtually everywhere” is because she is afraid of not only violent assailants but also the government: “I believe in the right to defend myself and my family — whether it’s from an intruder, or whether it’s from the government, should they decide that my rights are no longer important.”

Ed Kilgore explains the thinking behind Ernst’s claim: “The idea here is to intimidate liberals, and ‘looters’ and secular socialists, and those people, that there are limits to what the good virtuous folk of the country will put up with in the way of interference with their property rights and their religious convictions and their sense of how the world ought to work. If push comes to shove, they’re heavily armed, and bullets outweigh ballots.”

4. Obama Will Kill Us All!

If you wonder where Joni Ernst gets her ideas about an imminent government crackdown that may require a violent response, look no further than Fox News, where just this week Sean Hannity hosted conservative pundit Mark Levin to discuss President Obama’s nefarious agenda.

Levin told Hannity that Obama is imposing “quintessential statism” on America that “is a disaster,” Media Matters reports.

“The country has gone to Hell under this president and under the Democrat [sic] Party,” Levin said, warning that after the election, “with Obama it’s going to get worse, you’re going to see his full Mussolini coming out.”

Wayne Allyn Root, another conservative commentator, managed to top Levin’s remarks in an interview on the “Point of View” radio show, where he claimed that Obama “was sent here to destroy this country,” possibly by the “communist forces” of the Soviet Union or the Bilderbergs, and is “taking down the entire America.” Root added: “We’ve got to remove him from office and fast before he kills all of us.”

3. Latest Voter Fraud Menace

We keep hearing stories about Republicans increasing their outreach to African American and Latino voters, but their enthusiastic efforts to prevent people from registering to vote and from casting ballots may not be helping their case.

Take a recent incident in Arizona, where a GOP official and conservative media outlets fumed that an activist with a progressive group dropped off a box of absentee ballots at a polling center, which is completely legal. Immediately, conservatives accused the activist — a Latino man — of committing voter fraud through “ballot stuffing” and wondered if he was a violent “illegal alien.”

Of course, not only is delivering ballots on behalf of voters legal in Arizona, but Wonkette notes that Republicans brought in Mitt Romney to host a ballot drop-off campaign event this very week.

Thursday night, Mitt Romney made an appearance in Mesa, Arizona, to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Ducey. A graphic on a couple of conservative blogs, reproduced up top, urged attendees to “Bring your Early Ballots!” so GOP get-out-the-vote volunteers could collect them and get them to the county elections office.

Just remember, it’s only okay if Republicans do it, otherwise it’s voter fraud.

2. Beware Gay Plants, Or Something

Matt Barber’s website BarbWire today published an unintentionally hilarious piece by columnist Lee Duigon, who compares gays to super-plants from outer space that eat people.

“Gaydeology,” the dogma that “sexual liberation” is the highest moral value, presses forward aggressively on all fronts. Christians are to be punished by the state if they refuse to knuckle under. But the militant “gays” are only the street muscle for a “progressive” project to beat down church, family, and anything else that competes with the secular, God-denying state for the loyalty of every citizen. This vision for America, and for all the other countries of the Western world, has roots in the 19th century that sprouted into man-eating plants in the 20th, to become a worldwide plague in the 21st.

It is reminiscent of “The Day of the Triffids,” a classic horror movie about plants from outer space that infest the earth and strike blind anyone who gets too close.

Well, we have been blind, haven’t we? Blind to threats to our freedom, blind to the vast incompetence of government, and blind to its insatiable lust for power. Worst of all, we have been both blind and deaf to God our maker and our Father, whose blessings have been the lifeblood of America.

Maybe that should be the rallying cry of the anti-gay movement: Beware the triffids!

1. Gay ‘Terrorists’ Out To Get Us

Pat Robertson, who once warned viewers that they could become the victims of a gay ‘AIDS ring’ attack, lashed out at gay rights advocates on “The 700 Club” this week and accused them of trying to throw their opponents in jail.

Robertson didn’t hold back, warning that gay “terrorists” are launching their own Spanish Inquisition: “These people are terrorists, they’re radicals and they’re extremists. No Christian in his right mind would ever try to enforce somebody against their belief or else suffer jail. They did that during the Inquisition, it was horrible, it was a black mark on our history, but it isn’t being done now.”

Of course, Robertson’s argument relied on a twisted reading of a legal case in Houston, Texas, but that didn’t stop him from attacking the “monstrous” gay rights movement.

  • Jerry Boykin and Kamal Saleem have written a novel together!
  • Gina Miller declares that Christians must fight gay marriage with everything that they have because this is "just the beginning of the war on our freedoms being waged by the soldiers of Sodom West.  It is more important than ever that Christians and other right-minded people resist this evil movement."
  • Finally, BarbWire continues to provide a venue for all sorts of virulently anti-gay columnists to post their bigoted rants: "[I]f you have a problem with me using terms like 'queer,' 'homosexual,' and 'sodomite,' you might want to check yourself. This is what these people are. They are not 'gay.' They are degenerates and they have your children as a target."

Pastor On Marriage Equality Court Victories: 'The Republic Is Officially Dead'

Right-wing pastor Paul Blair of Reclaiming America for Christ is not happy that same-sex marriage is now legal in his home state of Oklahoma, and took to BarbWire today to call on state government officials to defy federal court rulings on issues like marriage.

Blair warns that “the republic is officially dead” as a result of overreaching government officials and judges, charging that the courts “have no authority” to strike down Oklahoma’s ban on same-sex marriage.

He writes if the states don’t push back against the judiciary, then people like Judge Terence Kern, who ruled in favor of two lesbian couples challenging the ban, might as well run all state affairs: “Let’s dissolve the state legislature, send the governor home and everyone else saving us at least half of our state’s annual budget. Apparently Federal Judge Kern already rules the state, so let him have an office in downtown OKC and we can be ruled by our masters and quit kidding ourselves.”

When leaving Constitution Hall in 1787, it is reported that Benjamin Franklin was asked by a passerby, “What kind of government did you give us?” His response, “A republic, ma’am. If you can keep it.”

Well, Mr. Franklin, the republic is officially dead.

Raising a navy? That is the Federal Government’s business. Healthcare? Not their business. Negotiating a treaty with France? That is the Federal Government’s business. Telling children what their educational curriculum must be? Not their business. Declaring war on a country threatening our security? That is the Federal Government’s business. Telling the farmers in western Oklahoma how much dust they can produce? Not their business. Organizing a postal service? That is the Federal Government’s business. Overruling the State Constitution in Oklahoma to redefine God’s definition of marriage? They have no authority and this is not their business.

I propose we do one of two things and will use my home state of Oklahoma as an example.

Option 1: If we are really ruled by Washington, then let’s quit pretending. If the only purpose of our state legislature is to vote on the “Doctor of the Week” or choose what the “State Bird” or “State Flower” should be, let’s close down the state government and save the money. If any real piece of legislation, like when the Citizens of Oklahoma voted 76% to amend our State Constitution to officially define marriage as one man and one woman, can simply be overruled by a single, non-elected, politically appointed Federal judge, then let’s just admit we are ruled by our masters in Washington. Let’s sell the state capital and turn it into a museum. It has to be worth at least $150 million. Let’s dissolve the state legislature, send the governor home and everyone else saving us at least half of our state’s annual budget. Apparently Federal Judge Kern already rules the state, so let him have an office in downtown OKC and we can be ruled by our masters and quit kidding ourselves.

Option 2: Imagine a world without the IRS. Imagine a world without the EPA. The states, who created the Federal government have the ability to say “NO” when the federal government acts illegally (Federalist #33, Tenth Amendment). Several conservative states like Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Louisiana and others, begin by first auditing the Federal Reserve, then proceed to eliminate it, so they cannot create money out of thin air. We dissolve the IRS and have each state collect revenue at the state level. Then, the states send to Washington their proportionate share for carrying out their Constitutionally defined duties. Goodbye national debt as they would be forced to live on the allowance we send them. No one would fall through the cracks as social programs can be far more efficiently operated at far less cost on the state and local level than funneling money through D.C. so that 12,000 lobbyists can all take out their share. Through eliminating federal regulations, we could unleash the energy industry in America and unleash our entrepreneurial spirit. We can break OPEC while simultaneously paying off our own national debt.

Laurie Roth: Obama Allowing ISIS To Send Ebola Patients To US So He Can Use Fake Vaccines To Track People

Right-wing talk show host Laurie Roth takes to BarbWire today to share a doozy of a conspiracy theory.

Roth starts by citing unfounded claims that Central American children are responsible for an outbreak of a respiratory disease in the U.S., which she blames on “disease flame thrower” President Obama.

That leads her to the crux of her argument, which is that ISIS has “peppered” people affected with Ebola “throughout many cities,” something that Obama has allowed to happen so that he can institute martial law and a “forced vaccination plan” that will “release something potentially fatal into our system, but also act as a tracker.”

By the way, Roth has spoken twice at the supposedly mainstream Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Now, ISIS — that we are pretending to attack — is bringing in their version of suicide bombers throughout America. According to the breaking research of Whalid and Ted Shoebat, (regular guests of my national radio show), ISIS is planning to bring in people through out [sic] America infected with EBOLA. They are most likely already peppered throughout many cities now.

Forget suicide bombers with explosives attached to them. They have evolved to the next level now. ISIS might as well join the disease party, so by Christmas we can have a nice variety package of destruction and horror…lets see, EVD 68, EBOLA, TB and Scabies. Anyone want some bloody slush with your Christmas hors d’oeuvres?

…And what is the purpose of all this disease, lack of protection and border security??? It appears to be potentially the “full meal deal” for Obama and his goals. 1) Establish over the next few years mindless, dependent and UN-American foreign voters and supporters for Obama and his goals. 2) Punish America for her achievements by riddling her with diseases and maiming her children. 3) Create a guise to declare martial law due to created outbreaks. Control speech, food, travel and health care. 4) Demand adults and children take some sort of mandated/mystery vaccination that kills off even more people.

My prediction is that a forced vaccination plan from Obama and his administration is on its way. This will not only allow someone put in control (so Obama can’t be blamed) to release something potentially fatal into our system, but also act as a tracker – the complete end of our privacy and freedom.

Gina Miller: Islamist-Gay Plot Destroying America

BarbWire content editor Gina Miller is angry that James Foley’s family asked anti-Muslim activist Pamela Geller to pull advertisements in New York that featured images of Foley’s execution, writing that Foley’s family are “the ones who are blasting her ads as they slavishly bow to the tenets of Muslim Sharia law.”

Miller claims extremist groups like ISIS are the true representatives of Islam, which she describes as “a satanic, militant-political ideology couched in a religion.” She adds that “Barack Obama (or whatever his name is)” has facilitated “Muslim Brotherhood operatives into his administration.”

Not only is Obama leaving “our southern border wide open to illegal aliens and Muslim terrorists,” according to Miller, but he is also bringing down the U.S. as he “decimates our military and floods it with ‘out and proud’ homosexual deviants.”

The ads are right on the money. They’re simple, common-sense declarations of the truth of what we face with hell-born Muslim conquest around the world. However, the deluded adherents to “political correctness” among us refuse to tell the truth about Islamic jihad, and instead, attack those of us who do. Rather than acknowledge the dangerous reality we face in demon-possessed Islamic drones who are hell-bent on spreading the bloody cancer of Islam, they revile the watchmen on the wall who warn of the imminent threat of this evil movement.

We see what the Muslims are doing in our nation and around the world. We see the Muslim sympathizer in the White House (who has allowed Muslim Brotherhood operatives into his administration) downplay Islamic terror in our nation, mislabeling the jihadi terror attack at Fort Hood as “workplace violence.” We have seen Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) arm and finance Islamists in the Middle East. We have seen him leave our southern border wide open to illegal aliens and Muslim terrorists. We have seen him allow our Ambassador and others to be murdered by Islamists in Benghazi. We have seen him purge our military and intelligence communities of rational reference to Islamic dangers and forbid them from monitoring mosques—all this while he decimates our military and floods it with “out and proud” homosexual deviants.

We have watched Obama set the Middle East on fire for the Islamists he favors over the ones he doesn’t. I have no idea which Islamists are the “good guys” in his warped mind, nor do I care. What little stability there was over there when he took office has been obliterated by his evil machinations.

Sentient Americans see Islam for what it is: a satanic, militant-political ideology couched in a religion. It is a disease on the face of the earth, and everywhere it exists it brings brutal, violent oppression. Telling the truth about this evil belief system is not “hatred” or “Islamophobia.” Pamela Geller’s ads are spot-on, and we need many more like her. Nowadays, wherever real truth is told, haters of truth will always spit and hiss—and lie. Such is the case with the ones who are blasting her ads as they slavishly bow to the tenets of Muslim Sharia law that stand in stark opposition to everything that the United States of America represents.

Far-Right Activist: ISIS Part Of The 'Homosexual Agenda'

Walid Shoebat took to BarbWire today to address the reports in a new documentary that ISIS is raping its recruits and using videos of the assaults as blackmail. Of course, the BarbWire columnist cited the rapes as proof that ISIS is part of the gay rights movement.

ISIS is truly the manifestation of the purest form of the homosexual agenda: sodomizing men as both torture and pleasure, and killing those who disagree with them.

The incredible testimony confirms a documentary broadcasted on August 27th on the Kurdish station STERK TV, it was said that ISIS has been raping men in a ceremony it describes as “marriage” and records them to use as blackmail and force them to join.

ISIS uses rape, including gang rape, as a tactic of fear to intimidate populations it seeks to control, according to an August 28th report by the Firat News Agency, a Kurdish agency based in Amsterdam.

Of course, Shoebat doesn’t seem to believe that raping hundreds of women makes ISIS part of the “heterosexual agenda.”

BarbWire: Miss America Winner Contributes To Violence, Destruction of The Country

BarbWire columnist Luke Douglas is joining other conservatives who have expressed outrage that Kira Kazantsev, the recently-crowned Miss America, once worked as an education intern at a Long Island Planned Parenthood clinic.

“The crusader of the largest abortion provider in the nation now the face of America? We shouldn’t be surprised,” Douglas said, before arguing that Planned Parenthood has contributed to the “pernicious deterioration” of America, with increased cases of rape and murder, as “a sexual revolution begun in the name of liberty has brought us to violence and confusion.”

This week’s newly crowned Miss America, 2015 is said to represent everything America believes in. Kira Kazantsev rose through the ranks of the competition: first as Miss New York, then singing “Happy” to win the national crown, then to represent our identity, our values, and our future as Miss America. As the crowds cheered with joy at her achievements, America took heart in knowing that our future is in the able hands of a new generation of leaders.

But this new generation’s story has another side to tell.

Kira Kazantsev used to work for Planned Parenthood. Not just as a clerk or record keeper, but as a representative traveling from one school to another in New York to teach children the values that Planned Parenthood holds dear.

The crusader of the largest abortion provider in the nation now the face of America? We shouldn’t be surprised.

We have said a lot about self-government, freedom and the Constitution. We can go on forever about what Congress and the Courts are doing, but ultimately the battle will not be won or lost at the ballot box. It will be won or lost in the hearts and minds of the next generation. If we are to live in liberty, we must live in self-government and righteousness. And we know that self-government is never more than one generation away from extinction.

Pernicious deterioration. And here’s what I mean. The word pernicious means to have a harmful effect in a gradual or subtle way. Deterioration means to become progressively worse. For example, study shows that the number of incarcerated criminals in the US since 1940 has increased every single year, and most significantly in the last ten years.

It has slowly become a problem even though we might not notice it because it is gradual or subtle. Virtue has slowly deteriorated and we are now at the point where there is less and less common virtue to deteriorate. Drug use is on the rise. The high school drop-out and expulsion rate is ever increasing. Murder, theft, corruption, abuse of power, and human trafficking are all crimes committed by a culture that has let virtue slip.

Josh McDowell, testifies in his book “Right and Wrong,” that one of the leading sports in Lakewood California, an upper class dignified part of the country is called sex. Points are self tallied [sic] and each teen participator receives one point per intercourse. Boys are commended by their peers for destroying innocent girls. Men and boys are no longer protectors but predators praised for hunting down girls as if they were prey to feed upon.

Just this week, the California Legislature passed its much-anticipated “Yes means yes” bill, requiring state universities to enact policies to protect women from sexual violence. The new policies will require both parties to obtain affirmative consent before engaging in sexual acts. Democratic Senator Kevin de Leon called for the passage of the bill to protect women against the “rape culture” of modern America. A sexual revolution begun in the name of liberty has brought us to violence and confusion.

You see, our culture has deteriorated to the point where the young lady not only has to be scared of her commute to and from school, but also her own home. We no longer possess a common virtue. Pernicious deterioration has reached its height. It has come to the last piece of honor left to take away from.

  • Finally, Bryan Fischer spent two segments on his radio program today calling for the reinstatement of DADT, citing a recent GQ article about male-on-male sexual assault in the military. The article, of course, explicitly notes that such assaults have nothing to do with homosexuality: "'One of the myths is that the perpetrators identify as gay, which is by and large not the case,' says James Asbrand, a psychologist with the Salt Lake City VA's PTSD clinical team. 'It's not about the sex. It's about power and control.'"

Laurie Higgins: 'Counter-Insurgency Needed' To Stop 'Homo-Activism'

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute, last heard yearning for the creation of a children’s book about kids celebrating the death of their gay parents, wrote today in BarbWire that there is no comparison between anti-miscegenation laws and marriage equality bans.

Higgins wants everyone to know that unlike people who supported bans on interracial marriage, anti-gay activists like herself have “nothing to do with hatred.” (Of course, opponents of interracial marriage also insisted that they didn’t subscribe to racial animus and were simply acting on their deeply-held religious beliefs formed by their reading of the Bible).

“Post-modernism, the sexual revolution, and a television-dominated culture created the wormy subsoil into which two other cultural phenomena have taken root and grown into a felicitous political environment for homo-activism,” Higgins adds.

“This is a stealth insurgent assault on the First Amendment, and it’s being opposed by a feeble, emasculated counter-insurgency effort.”

First, those who opposed interracial marriage did not argue that such unions were not marriages. They argued that such marriages were not proper. And their opposition to interracial marriage was motivated by false ideas about racial superiority and by actual hatred. While it is appropriate to make moral distinctions among volitional behaviors (e.g., homoerotic activity vs. heterosexual activity), it is inappropriate to posit some people as ontologically superior to others or to hate people.

Supporters of true marriage are making a wholly different argument—one which has nothing to do with hatred. They’re making the argument that marriage has a nature central to which is sexual difference. They’re arguing that a union of two people of the same sex is in reality not a marriage—even if the law permits it. They’re arguing that the law can no more make a non-marital same-sex union into a marriage than it can make a wholly human African American into 3/5 a person.

Counter-insurgency needed

Post-modernism, the sexual revolution, and a television-dominated culture created the wormy subsoil into which two other cultural phenomena have taken root and grown into a felicitous political environment for homo-activism. With large corporations dominating employment in America and the Internet disseminating information, disinformation, and demagoguery with lightening speed, homosexual activists are able to advance their doctrinaire and dogmatic ideology while undermining both religious liberty and speech rights. This is a stealth insurgent assault on the First Amendment, and it’s being opposed by a feeble, emasculated counter-insurgency effort.

BarbWire: God Will Avenge The Rise Of LGBT Rights

While comparing conservatives’ opposition to LGBT equality and abortion rights to the struggles against slavery and tyranny, BarbWire content editor Gina Miller writes in a column today that “the dangerous political agenda of the tyrannical homosexual movement” represents “a full-frontal assault on Christianity itself, as well as our God-given freedoms and the very foundations of our constitutional Republic.”

She adds that while “God will avenge every wrong done by the Godless in this world,” right-wing activists should not “stand silently by in the face of evil done by our civil leaders.”

Miller has previously warned that “demonic” gay rights advocates want to murder Christians.

Yet how many Christians throughout history, inspired by the fire of God’s Word in their spirits, have stood firmly against evil actions by civil governments? Were they wrong? Was William Wilberforce wrong, as a member of the British Parliament and a Christian, to work to abolish slavery and to speak out against other societal ills, while advocating for God’s morality in the public square? Was Telemachus the monk wrong for standing against the barbaric Roman gladiator spectacles, for which he paid with his life? Were our Founding Fathers (most of whom were Bible-believing Christians) wrong for standing against the tyranny of King George, standing to the point of violent revolution, in establishing a nation by God’s grace? The list of Christians who have firmly engaged civil government with the powerful weapon of God’s truth is long and includes the apostles and Jesus Himself.

It would be hard to support the argument that Christians are wrong for opposing government actions that God calls evil. Abortion is murder. God calls us to defend the powerless among us. How can anyone justify standing by silently as millions of pre-born babies are slaughtered in the evil name of “choice”? Are the dear Christians, whose hearts are heavy with the burden of grief over this hell-born “woman’s right,” wrong to tirelessly spend countless hours in prayer and abortion mill sidewalk ministry to the women and girls who enter these dens of death?

Are Christians wrong for speaking out against the dangerous political agenda of the tyrannical homosexual movement? God calls the sin of homosexuality an abomination. This abominable sin is being used by our evil culture and political leaders as a “right” to wage a full-frontal assault on Christianity itself, as well as our God-given freedoms and the very foundations of our constitutional Republic—a Constitution and a Republic that is, next to the nation of Israel, the most God-blessed in human history.

Yes, God will avenge every wrong done by the Godless in this world, but I do not believe He desires us to stand silently by in the face of evil done by our civil leaders. Further, opposing this same evil is not “blasphemy” against the Lord nor apostasy against His Word.

Gina Miller: 'Slutty' Women Encourage Sexual Assault

BarbWire content editor and columnist Gina Miller was the guest this weekend on “Mission America,” where she and host Linda Harvey took a break from attacking the LGBT community to discuss campus sexual assaults, for which they blame feminism for launching a “war on white males.”

Miller said feminists, and all liberals, “have this hatred for males, especially white males.”

“There is this palpable hatred for men,” she said. “Actual rape is a terrible thing and no one is saying that these men are not accountable but I at the same time hold women responsible for when they put themselves, present themselves in slutty attire at a drunken frat party and then expect these frat boys to behave like gentlemen. It’s nonsense.”

Harvey, for her part, claimed the “war on women” is a myth, when in reality there is “a war on unborn babies, a war on common sense [and] a war on Christianity.” Miller agreed: “The war on women is a completely fabricated, made-up thing. There is actually a war out there, it’s a war against all humanity led by the Devil himself and people that he inspires. A war on unborn babies, it’s a genocidal, homicidal war. There is a real war on white males in this nation.”

Linda Harvey: Anti-Gay Activists Must Go To 'Places That Are Homosexual' To Tell Them They're Not Gay

Linda Harvey of Mission America spoke to BarbWire columnist Gina Miller on her radio show this weekend, where the two reprised their attacks on LGBT rights as a demonic, destructive force.

Reflecting on a campaign to push for LGBT rights in Southern states, Harvey said anti-gay activists should have the same “kind of boldness” and go to pride parades and “places that are homosexual” like San Francisco, Provincetown and Key West.

Miller, however, cautioned that “a lot of the homosexual radicals are radical and they’re violent and vicious,” adding: “These people are vicious and we’re not. That’s the thing. We’re not vicious but we know the truth and the truth is on our side.”

Harvey and Miller then dismissed a Human Rights Campaign survey on harassment of LGBT youth in states like Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama, which they claimed — without any evidence to substantiate their claims — was a complete sham.

Miller said: “No I don’t believe it, while there may be some element of bullying — of course bullying happens all the time for various reasons in our schools, that’s the way kids are — but no, I don’t buy it and further they can easily make up these statistics…They’re using these kinds of statements whether they’re true or not to create a false image, a false impression that homosexuals are bullied and where is this rampant epidemic of homosexual kids?”

“These folks are highly sensitive — I’m not saying these things don’t happen, but I think all of this is exaggeration,” Harvey said. “‘One-in-three LGBT students,’ you might be talking about 45 people in the total of Mississippi and they are not born that way so the issue is we need to be educating and counseling and coming along these kids and saying ‘you don’t need to be in this lifestyle’ and harassment can be punished right now, no matter what the reason, so it’s all false.”

BarbWire Columnist: 'Tyrannical Homosexual Movement' Will 'Obliterate Freedom'

In a rambling response today to a recent pro-marriage equality op-ed by a gay Republican political adviser, BarbWire’s Gina Miller warns that gay marriage is “based on a grotesquely immoral, unnatural and unhealthy behavior” and will lead to the End Times.

“[T]he tyrannical homosexual movement,” Miller warns, “is leaving in its wake a scorched earth of obliterated freedoms, degenerate minds and cultural rot.” She adds that “there can never be a marriage union between two men or two women, no matter what our insane society declares or how many devilish laws mandate an abominable parody of marriage.”

“This is about the normalization of homosexuality and the crushing of Christianity and the freedoms of Christians and others opposed to the mainstreaming of this perverse behavior,” she writes. “This is a war by the degenerate Left against truth, reason, and morality. Ultimately, they are at war against God.”

The Bible warns us that in these last days, there will come a time when men will no longer accept the truth. As written in 2 Timothy 4:3-4:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

While this may be a reference to apostasy within the church, the nation reflects the health—or lack of it—of the church, and our nation is quite sick. This is evident in the gruesome success of the tyrannical homosexual movement that is leaving in its wake a scorched earth of obliterated freedoms, degenerate minds and cultural rot.

“Marriage bias? ” As I have said many times, marriage is one thing only, the union of a man and a woman. That’s all it has ever been and all it will ever be, no matter how many lawless federal judges illegally write bad law from the bench in overturning the will of the people of the sovereign states who have voted to codify the meaning of marriage in their state constitutions. There is no such thing as “marriage bias,” unless you consider accepting the definition of marriage to be “biased” for truth. There can never be a marriage union between two men or two women, no matter what our insane society declares or how many devilish laws mandate an abominable parody of marriage.

No longer will many people accept the fact that, although there are plenty of practical reasons to oppose it, the entire foundation of the same-sex “marriage” argument is dead wrong. It is based on a grotesquely immoral, unnatural and unhealthy behavior—pure sin, whether anyone on God’s earth believes it or not. So, Richardson’s arguments are empty from the start. There is no “conservative case” for homosexuality or counterfeit marriage. By its very definition, conservatism seeks to conserve our nation’s heritage and moral framework, which includes marriage and family. There is already “freedom to marry” for every person, providing it is marriage in which you choose to engage. A man wanting to “marry” another man is nothing but a twisted farce, never a marriage.

The subtlety of his “aww shucks, my boyfriend and I are just like everyone else” pitch is part of the sinister propaganda of the radical homosexual Left. He’s not just like everyone else, wanting to be left alone to mind his own business. He’s an outspoken homosexual activist, and his bogus, “aww shucks” angle hides the truth about the danger to our freedoms and our society that the imposition of same-sex “marriage” represents. One of the biggest dangers is to our freedom, because the state would force, under penalty of law, the acceptance and the accommodation of counterfeit marriage on all who know it’s wrong. It would also force the indoctrination of school kids with the lies of the homosexual movement, telling them that it’s normal and good, when it’s anything but. These things are already happening, although not on a uniformly national scale.

Richardson finishes his piece with the common refrain of the homosexual “marriage” movement that all they want is the same right to marry as everyone else. That’s a lie. They already have that same right, and there is no such thing as same-sex marriage, but that’s not what this is about. This is about the normalization of homosexuality and the crushing of Christianity and the freedoms of Christians and others opposed to the mainstreaming of this perverse behavior. The fictional “rights” based on homosexual deviance and the genuine, God-given, First Amendment-protected rights of the vast majority of Americans cannot coexist. In this war for the soul of our nation, one must give way to the other. This is a war by the degenerate Left against truth, reason, and morality. Ultimately, they are at war against God, and while they may seem to be victorious here in the short term, in the end it is God Who is the Victor.

“This isn’t about discrimination...
