Since 2011, Faith 2 Action's Janet Porter has been working to get the state of Ohio to pass her "Heartbeat Bill" legislation, which would prevent a women from having an abortion if a fetal heartbeat can be detected, thereby dramatically curtailing reproductive rights by banning abortion "as early as 18 to 24 days after conception." Now, after three years of failure despite having organized multiple rallies and attention-grabbing stunts, Porter has decided that she is going to take her case directly to God, sending out an email today announcing a prayer rally to be held... Today’s “Prophetic Insight” comes via Dutch Sheets, a leader in the dominionist New Apostolic Reformation. It combines the kind of religious persecution rhetoric examined in PFAW’s recent report, “Persecution Complex,”with a triumphant assertion that God will destroy the people standing in the way of establishing God’s kingdom in America. Back in 2012, Sheets gave the keynote at a conference organized by fellow prophet Cindy Jacobs with an assist from the Family Research Council. Sheets mocked churchgoers who focused on things like pastoral care... MORE >
Sheets: Judgment is Coming Because 'God Has Put Up with All of the Mocking He Intends to from Barack Obama'

Before the election, Cindy Jacobs hosted a "Reformation Day" prayer rally in which speaker after speaker prayed/prophesied that President Obama would be defeated and Jesus glorified in the election. Among the speakers was Dutch Sheets, who proclaimed that the "systems of anti-Christ" that bound the nation would be broken ... but that obviously didn't happen, as Obama was re-elected, which has prompted Sheets to now declare that God's wholesale judgment is about to rain down on this nation because "God has put up with all of the mocking He intends to from Barack... Last Wednesday evening, Cindy Jacobs and Generals International held a "Reformation Day" pre-election prayer rally where speaker after speaker prayed that the humanistic, anti-Christ systems ruling over this nation would be broken, that the Holy Spirit would reach both President Obama and the Supreme Court and bring an end to abortion, and that Christians would rise up to take back this nation through an army of evangelical voters who will put God's man in the White House. We edited down the three hour event to this three and a half minute clip of the "highlights": MORE >

Newt Gingrich’s campaign announced today that Dutch Sheets, a self-appointed apostle and a major figure in the New Apostolic Reformation, will join his Faith Leaders Coalition as a National Co-Chair. As first reported and confirmed by Rachel Tabachnick of Talk to Action, Sheets endorsed Gingrich and warned that America “cannot survive another 4 years of the current leadership”: Dutch Sheets has endorsed Newt Gingrich for president, and will be joining the Gingrich Faith Leaders Coalition. … “Newt Gingrich is only one that I can confidently say has... Earlier this month at A Gathering of Eagles, Cindy Jacobs, Harry Jackson, Dutch Sheets and Pierre Bynum of the Family Research Council led attendees in spiritual warfare against the purported demonic powers behind homosexuality and marriage equality, the media and secular government. Today, Jacobs’ organization Generals International told members about the event, including a meeting before the prayer rally at the Family Research Council including Jackson, Sheets and John Benefiel of the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network as part of Jacobs’ new election initiative to elect right-... We have been reporting on last week’s Gathering of Eagles in Washington, D.C. where the Family Research Council teamed up with “Apostle” Cindy Jacobs to launch a prayer campaign designed to influence the 2012 elections. The event was vivid evidence of the Religious Right’s willingness to embrace the radical dominionists of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). The Family Research Council is probably the most prominent political group on the Religious Right; its Values Voter Summit attracts Republican presidential candidates, congressional leaders, and... Janet Porter saved the big guns for last when she organized her Heartbeat Bill rally last week. After speakers were done comparing supporters of the effort to Moses and likening women's health centers to concentration camps, Dutch Sheets and Lou Engle took to the podium to beseech God to pass this legislation. While Sheets asked God to give no rest and no peace to Ohio senators until they agree to pass the bill and "end this curse in America," Engle screamed out, calling upon God to break the demonic spiritual powers over the Senate so that Senators will receive dreams...
