Patrick Wooden, a favorite pastor of the National Organization for Marriage, spoke to anti-gay writer Michael Brown on Line of Fire Radio yesterday where he went after President Obama and the Democratic Party’s endorsement of marriage equality. While he shied away from his usual topics about how gay men need to wear diapers until their early death as a result of a life of shoving cellphones, baseball bats and animals up their anuses, Wooden argued that President Obama is contributing to the pain of the “decimated” black community by favoring marriage equality and is sending... Yet again, the guest on this week's installment of Peter LaBarbera's "Americans for Truth Hour" was none other than Patrick Wooden where the two dedicated one more hour to discussing the results of the marriage amendment vote in North Carolina and their mutual animus towards gays and gay rights in general.
This time around, Wooden and LaBarbera predicted that one today's young people grew up and had families, their support for marriage equality would fade because, down deep, nobody wants their children to grow up to be gay, not even parents who are gay themselves, and... MORE >

Peter LaBarbera today posted yet another interview with his new best friend, Patrick Wooden along with John Kirkwood, pastor of Grace Gospel Fellowship in Bensenville, Illinois. discussing the recent passage of the marriage amendment in North Carolina.
During the discussion, the three men tackled a wide array of related topics, including President Obama's statement of support for marriage equality. It was Obama's citation of the Golden Rule in explaining his views that seemed particularly offensive to them, prompting Wooden to offer up a truly incoherent statement that "most people... MORE >

The National Organization for Marriage has found time between its campaigns to enshrine anti-gay discrimination in state constitutions to join a Religious Right attack on gay activist and author Dan Savage, who has forthrightly apologized for comments he made when some students walked out of a speech he gave at a high school. Earlier this week, NOM blogger and “culture director” Thomas Peters, speaking about the incident on a Seattle radio show, said NOM wants to debate issues like marriage with civility and respect. When the interviewer told Peters he has heard... MORE >

Once again, the National Organization for Marriage is promoting North Carolina pastor Patrick Wooden, who stars in a video meant to drum up support for the state’s discriminatory Amendment One. The North Carolina Traditional Values Coalition includes Wooden and other Religious Right activists in the video urging people to vote for Amendment One, which would ban same-sex marriage and civil unions in the state constitution, and Wooden maintains that there is “no bigotry” against gays and lesbians in their efforts:
NOM likes to claim that they are not “anti-gay”... MORE >

On last week’s edition of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality Radio Hour, a self-described “former homosexual” called for the arrest of author Dan Savage for his campaign to end suicide among LGBT youth, and today host Peter LaBarbera and guest Patrick Wooden reminisced about when violence against gay and transgender people was considered “normal.”
Wooden, a North Carolina pastor and anti-gay activist with who has claimed that older gay men have to wear diapers after a lifetime of shoving a variety of objects and animals up their anuses, started the program... MORE >

North Carolina pastor and anti-gay activist Patrick Wooden appeared once again on Peter LaBarbera’s Americans For Truth About Homosexuality Radio Hour, where he responded to critics over his comments that he has an “anal obsession.” Wooden has claimed that gay men have to “wear a diaper or a butt plug just to be able to contain their bowels” when they are older as a result of shoving cellphones, baseball bats and animals in their anus. Wooden told LaBarbera that anal obsession is “the very basis of homosexuality” and he simply wants to tell gay men to... MORE >

I think we all owe Peter LaBarbera a sincere thanks for bringing Patrick Wooden into his anti-gay activism because every time Wooden opens his mouth, we get great content for our blog.
When we were searching for a photo of Wooden to use for our latest video of him asserting that gay men shove cellphones, baseball bats, and gerbils into their rectums, we went to Wooden's website where we discovered a video of LaBarbera and Wooden talking about "Fighting Homosexuality in America."
Most of the video consisted of things we had already heard Wooden say, but then the two started... MORE >
