Phyllis Schlafly Almost Picked Michele Bachmann To Succeed Her 'But She Knew Nothing About Politics Outside Of Her Own Domain'

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly offered more details about the turmoil within her organization, Eagle Forum, in an interview with far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones yesterday, claiming that the group of dissidents who she says are trying to oust her from her position in the group are also targeting her son and disclosing that she once considered former Rep. Michele Bachmann to be a potential successor before deciding against it.

Schlafly’s handpicked successor, Ed Martin, was recently voted out by a group of Eagle Forum board members who suggested that he was mismanaging the organization and manipulating the 91-year-old Schlafly into making unwise decisions, such as her very public endorsement of Donald Trump.

The group voted to install Schlafly’s daughter, Anne Cori, as the organization’s new executive director, and insists that removing Martin, not Schlafly, is their only objective.

Schlafly, however, believes that the board vote was invalid and actually directed at ousting her, claiming that the dissidents, including her daughter, are targeting her because she didn’t join them in supporting Ted Cruz.

She gave more information to Jones yesterday, alleging that Cori was “at one time” in line to succeed her at Eagle Forum but that she decided against naming her daughter to lead the group, a move which may have helped to motivate Cori to launch the supposed coup.

Bachmann, Schlafly revealed, was also floated as a potential successor, but the former Minnesota congresswoman was taken out of the running due to concerns about her experience and the breadth of her knowledge.

“A lot of our people wanted us to pick Michele Bachmann, and she certainly has a lot of talent, a very fine speaker, and so forth,” she said, “but she knew nothing about running an organization and she knew nothing about politics outside of her own domain.”

Schlafly says her daughter “lined up with some of the people who thought they could get good jobs at Eagle Forum if they got rid of me” and that Cori “is trying to tell me that she’s just doing this for my benefit, but I don’t need somebody to do something for my benefit, I’ve gotten along quite well all these years.”

Schlafly said that the turmoil started when the Eagle Forum leaders who endorsed Cruz “did it in a way that made it look like it was Eagle Forum doing it” and leaked membership lists to the Cruz campaign. She alleged that Cori and others are now also trying to remove her sons, John and Andy, from their posts in the organization.

“The only thing they’ve done is divide my family,” she said. “My daughter is with the group that is leading the assault on my leadership and they want to get rid of my son, so extremely valuable in my organization, one of them is both a lawyer and an accountant and he’s very good with the money, he always errs on the safe side of things ... Then we’ve got another son they want to get rid of and he’s the one who has written a lot of these amicus briefs that we’ve filed with the Supreme Court in important cases.”

“I represent Eagle Forum and they tried to throw me out but, at any rate, I’m still here,” she said.

Steve King Suspects 'A Good Chunk' Of Remittances To Mexico Are 'Laundered Drug Money'

When Donald Trump suggested this week that he would make Mexico pay for a border wall by threatening to cut off all remittance payments sent by American workers to family members in Mexico, he was echoing years of calls from anti-immigrant politicians like former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and Louisiana Sen. David Vitter to punish immigrants who send money to their families.

It isn’t exactly a surprise, then, that Rep. Steve King of Iowa, one of the most vocal anti-immigration advocates in Congress, seems fairly supportive of Trump’s plan despite having endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz for president.

Newsmax host Steve Malzberg asked King about Trump’s plan in an interview yesterday, and King said that while he was “torn between a couple of two fires” on the issue, he’d “like to see Donald Trump go a little further with this dialogue and see what we might be able to get done.”

King, who once insisted that most people eligible for the DREAM Act have “calves the size of cantaloupes because they’ve been hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert,” said that he suspected that “a good chunk” of remittances to Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America are “laundered drug money.”

Bachmann: Maybe God Uses Terrorist Attacks To Humiliate Obama

Michele Bachmann, the former congresswoman turned End Times prophet, took to WorldNetDaily today to blast President Obama for his approach to fighting the terrorist group ISIS.

As Bachmann sees it, ISIS strikes whenever the president tries to downplay the group’s threat or change the subject to issues like U.S. relations with Cuba. This may be God’s way, she said, of humiliating Obama.

Or maybe our president’s humiliation comes in a manner so devastating it makes one wonder whether the Creator of humankind isn’t reminding this world of the inferiority of foolishness in the face of wisdom.

The president once again mocked his nemesis, the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, by cleverly turning the international press corps toward his brilliant work in Cuba, instead of covering ongoing Islamic attacks against the Jewish state as outlined that very same day at the annual pro-Israel AIPAC meeting in Washington, D.C.

History changed less than 24 hours later in the blink of an eye, and the rug was pulled out from under his well-laid plans.

The Tea Party icon also declared that ISIS is a perfect representative of Islam, warning that the religion intends to conquer Europe and is a demonic death cult bent on exterminating Christians and Jews:

History changed less than 24 hours later in the blink of an eye, and the rug was pulled out from under his well-laid plans.

Bits and pieces of flesh and blood, some Americans, all innocents, were scattered – scattered to further the act of conquest by Islam against the continent once enlightened by the beliefs and values of Western Christendom.

Three men committed to a false God and a doctrine of demons chose death to advance Western civilization’s defeat.

This week, some 2,000 years ago, a Jewish Savior named Jesus willingly gave His life as a substitutionary sacrifice to pay for the sins of all humankind, to reconnect us with the God who made us.

This compare-and-contrast of competing worldviews was soberingly and glaringly revealed.

One religious worldview brought peace and life, another glorified death and the cult of suicide.

For 14 centuries, world history records the facts, not beliefs, that Islam sought to annihilate first Jews, then Christians, then Muslims and non-believers who did not agree with Muhammad’s commands.

Read the Quran. Read the Hadith –the sayings of Muhammad – which provokes the reader to kill infidels in order to appease their god, Allah.

It was reported the Islamic murderers in Brussels shouted in Arabic as they blew themselves and others away.

David Barton And Michele Bachmann Explain Why Christians Must Only Elect 'God-Conscious People'

On the latest episode of his "Foundations of Freedom" series, right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton was once again joined by former Rep. Michele Bachmann to discuss the topic of "God and government" and how "we, as a nation, have a duty not to be secular."

God and religion are to be infused through all of society and government, Barton and Bachmann said, explaining that the best way to achieve that result is by electing Christians.

"We need to elect people to office who are willing to acknowledge God," Barton said, "because if they're secular going in, they're not going to protect your liberties."

"Amen," replied Bachmann, saying that Christians should "elect people who are pre-lobbied to do the right thing." The easiest way to do that, she said, is for Christians to gather together groups of 25 or 50 voters and then ask candidates for public office to come and speak to them so that they can ask those candidates about their views.

Barton supported that idea because "that's an easy way to find out whether they're God-conscious people and if they're not, you don't want them in government because they'll take your liberties."

"And that's the point," Bachmann declared. "You are more protected in this society if you have people who respect the law and who respect the Lawgiver than if you have someone who believes they are law unto themselves. That's what we want!"

'Get A Brain': Michele Bachmann Says A 'Biblical Basis For Society' Is The Key To Happiness

On the latest episode of his "Foundations of Freedom" series, right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton was once again joined by former Rep. Michele Bachmann, this time for a discussion on "The Bible, Competition and Choice."

The two agreed that God created competition, within a biblical framework, for the good of mankind and Bachmann helpfully summed up the entire discussion by saying that anyone who cannot see that needs to "get a brain."

"You could summarize it by saying, 'Get a brain," Bachmann said. "I mean, that's kind of what it is. Get a brain and figure it out. Don't you want to live better? Don't you want to be more prosperous? Don't you want to be happier? Don't you want to be free? Don't you want poor people to do well? Don't you want to love your neighbor? If you want all those things, David, you would embrace competition with both arms and you'd want a biblical basis for your society just like the Pilgrims, through their example, gave us, that they embraced for us, just like George Washington and the founders, when they dedicated this nation to God at the inauguration, in the very first seconds of life of this country."

Michele Bachmann Says Progressive Taxation Causes People To Violate The Ten Commandments

In the latest episode of his "Foundations of Freedom" series, right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton was once again joined by Michele Bachmann, who railed against the progressive income tax as an unbliblical system that causes Americans to violate the Ten Commandments.

Barton and Bachmann, a former Republican congresswoman from Minnesota, were discussing the topic of "economics and the Bible" and spent most of the program attacking progressive taxation for violating the economic laws set out in the Bible by placing Americans into different groups and tax brackets instead of treating them as individuals.

"God loves the individual," Bachmann said, "and He wants the individual to succeed, He wants the family to succeed. And when government stops looking at us as an individual with a name and now we become a number, in other words, we become a part of a group association, then what's dangerous about that is if our group association isn't pleasing to the current government power, you get whacked!"

After Barton cited a Supreme Court case striking down the income tax prior to the passage of the 16th Amendment, Bachmann warned that a progressive income tax is unbliblical because it encourages the government to tax the rich to benefit the poor, which makes people covet their neighbor's possessions in violation of the Tenth Commandment.

"Just look at any campaign commercial on TV," Bachmann said. "It's appealing to the lower interests of man and it appeals to the American people to violate the Tenth Commandment. We are told, don't covet; in other words, don't be jealous and don't want what your neighbor has. Your neighbor had to work for what he has and don't be jealous of your neighbor, get out and work yourself. Instead, politicians say, 'Oh no, no, your neighbor is rich because he stole it from you.' That's not true, it's a lie, and so does anyone benefit from that thinking? Absolutely not. The Bible is exactly right."

Tony Perkins: The Draft Is Coming Back, Thanks Obama

At last Saturday’s GOP presidential debate, several Republican candidates expressed openness to having women register with the Selective Service after the Army and Marine Corps chiefs said that the U.S. should make such a move, much to the dismay of the Religious Right.

Yesterday, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins spoke with ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann, both of whom were stunned that Republican leaders would get behind the policy change, which they said would be disastrous for the military.

Perkins kicked things off by warning that “there is a very good likelihood that we could see the draft” in the near future because “the policies of this administration” have weakened the military and “made the world a very dangerous place.” (Back in 2010, Perkins said that “the president’s drive to repeal the ban on open homosexuality in the military” could “bring back the draft.”)

Bachmann said she was “shocked” by the candidates’ remarks in the debate, saying that “it’s crazy.”

“This is a radical idea,” she said. “It’s a darling of the left that’s been put forward actually for several decades but it is put forward, interestingly, by people who tend to be not fans of the military and it’s people who are on this wild tear to bring about the end of male-female. At the core of this argument really, Tony, is that gender doesn’t matter. We’ve seen it in the marriage debate, but we see it now in this combat readiness debate.”

Michele Bachmann: Muslim Migrants Rape Women To Commit Jihad And 'Destroy Western Christendom'

Michele Bachmann spoke with End Times radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger on Saturday about the migration of Muslims into Western Europe and the United States, calling it a “planned invasion” meant to destroy “Western Christendom.”

“This clearly is an invasion,” Bachmann said. “This is a planned invasion, not only in Europe but also in the United States, I believe for the specific purpose of destroying Western Christendom.” Bachmann said that countries with large Muslim minorities like France now experience “Islamic jihad 24/7, terrorist bloodbath attacks 24/7,” warning that the same thing is coming to the U.S. unless we decide to have “no more immigration into the United States.”

Now, Bachmann said, Muslim migrants are raping Western women as part of their religious terrorism.

“The more that come in, the more they act upon their religious convictions and their stated religious convictions,” she said. “The imams from the original countries that they come from, they recruit and send these guys to come in and to bring about this destruction. Right now in Europe it’s called a ‘rape culture’ that’s coming into Sweden and Germany and all across Europe for the specific purpose of Islamizing these countries, and they are falling.”

“Islamists have a plan,” Bachmann later added. “They have a plan to destroy Western Christendom. It’s called civilization jihad. By bringing Islamists into our country and destroying us from in, they don’t need to just have a nuclear bomb. If they send their invading army into our countries and if young men are doing what they did on New Year’s Eve in Cologne, Germany, and other places where they are literally sexually attacking and raping and groping women and causing them to fear, we are looking at a completely ramped-up level of invasion one like we have never seen before.”

“Not only is Europe getting that, the United States is getting that, but we need to recognize what is happening,” she said. “This isn’t unintentional. This is intentional and it’s meant to destroy Western Christendom.”

The former congresswoman and GOP presidential candidate then said that Muslim migrants from countries like Pakistan and Iran may pose as Central American refugees in order to enter the U.S., all thanks to Obama’s refugee policy.

Earlier in the same interview, Bachmann suggested that President Obama is an Antichrist-like figure bringing about the Last Days.

Listen To Michele Bachmann Discuss Whether Obama Is The Antichrist

Last week, Michele Bachmann claimed that the world is rushing into Armageddon, citing a dubious report from a Kuwaiti newspaper, which alleged that President Obama is attempting to lead the United Nations after leaving office but that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is thwarting his effort.

Bachmann told radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger that Obama will turn the UN into an enormously powerful global institution, which she said will pave the way for a joint Russian-Iranian invasion of Israel. The anti-Israel alliance, she said, “lines up with scripture.”

In a follow-up interview that aired on Saturday, Markell came right out and said that while she isn’t sure that Obama is the Antichrist, the Antichrist would be a such a global leader.

Bachmann, in turn, claimed that Obama will make a deal with Russia and Islamic nations such as Iran to create a “super UN” that will run the entire world.

This is not the first time that the former congresswoman and Republican presidential candidate has said that Obama is ushering in the End Times.

Following a much needed mental health break, Paranoia-Rama is back! However, there may not be much time left for us since, as Michele Bachmann explained this week, the Battle of Armageddon is imminent.

Michele Bachmann: Obama Seeks Global Domination As Battle Of Armageddon Approaches

Former Minnesota Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann said on Saturday that the Syrian Civil War is paving the way for an apocalyptic war between Israel and foreign powers.

Bachmann, who has previously claimed that President Obama and the gay rights movement are ushering in the Last Days, told radio hosts Jan Markell and Eric Barger that “the world is about to give legitimacy to the Islamic State” while, at the same time, Russian and Iranian military intervention in Syria on behalf of its dictator Bashar Assad has paved the way for a future invasion of Israel by the two countries in order to seize its energy resources, just as laid out in the Bible.

“I believe that they are positioning themselves so that someday they could invade Israel to be able to take over the vast stores of oil and natural gas that Israel is controlling,” she said, adding that “this very unique new partnership between Iran and Russia in Syria” with the support of China “lines up with scripture.” All of these powers, she said, are seeking “a global world order to keep their game going into the future and to support them if they would invade against Israel.”

And who will lead this global world order? Why, none other than Obama.

Bachmann cited a report from the right-wing outlet Investor’s Business Daily about a story that originated with the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, which claimed that Obama is trying to become secretary-general of the United Nations while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is thwarting his bid. If this story sounds too strange to be true, that’s probably because it is: We haven’t been able to track down the original Al-Jarida article, but it is the same newspaper which fallaciously reported that Obama threatened to shoot down Israeli aircraft trying to bomb Iran’s nuclear program.

Nonetheless, Bachmann ran with the claim, insisting that Netanyahu is rallying Arab nations against Obama’s bid to lead the United Nations.

“Obama would only go into an empowered, powerful UN, powerful enough to see the United States come under the UN’s authority,” Bachmann warned.

Barger suggested that Obama may in fact be the Antichrist: “The whole idea of Obama being able to extend his presidency, even enhance it and expand it, I don’t think I need to say what I’m thinking because I think a lot of the listeners are thinking the same thing, and we all are too, and as you shake your head you wonder what’s coming next.”

Bachmann closed the program out by saying that we are witnessing the fulfillment of biblical prophecies and that we must warn others “with a Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other” about the coming apocalypse.

Michele Bachmann Says Congress Cannot Pass Laws That Contradict The Laws Of God

In the latest installment of David Barton's "Foundations of Freedom" series to air on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Barton was once again joined by ex-Rep. Michele Bachmann, who declared that Congress can never pass laws that violate the laws of God because doing so only "degrades the greatness of a nation."

Bachmann declared that a marble portrait of Moses in the House chamber is there as a reminder to all lawmakers that "a holy God gave to Moses the moral law, the Ten Commandments, the law upon which every other law has descended and upon which no other law, if it violates that moral law, could stand because that is the ultimate law."

To pass laws that do not uphold God's moral law, Bachmann said, "degrades us as a nation, it degrades our liberties and it degrades the greatness of a nation and that's what God understood from Old Testament times: The greatness of a nation is built up by His law."

Michele Bachmann: Protecting Gay People With Hate Crimes Laws Is 'Tyranny'

Right-wing psuedo-historian and Republican political operative David Barton recently released an 18-part DVD series called "Foundations of Freedom" that features Barton and various guests explaining everything from "the formation of American law and the judicial system to biblically-based economics, science, government [and how] our Founding Fathers used the Bible as a blueprint for America’s freedoms."

Among the guests featured in the series is Michele Bachmann, who was still a member of Congress at the time of filming, and who, in an episode that recently aired on TBN, declared that LGBT-inclusive hate crimes laws are a form of "tyranny."

"That's what's so brilliant about our form of government and God's form of government," Bachmann said, "that we are equal before the law. God's says He's not a respecter of persons, He's not partial, so why should we, why should government be partial? ... A creator God created us equal."

That discussion eventually led to Barton and Bachmann to lament the passage of hate crimes legislation back in 2009 that included protections against crimes based on sexual orientation, which Bachmann declared was tyranny.

"It's political correctness that rules the day," she said. "So when you're part of a favored group, then you get special benefits that nobody else gets. That's the very form of tyranny because when government supposedly gives something — government has nothing to give, they have to take it away from other people. So when they give it to that certain group, that means, by definition, they're taking it away from you."

The hate crimes law, which Barton and other anti-gay activists falsely claimed would lead to the imprisonment of pastors who preach from the Bible, did not "give" anything to specific groups nor take anything away from anyone else, but merely added sexual orientation and gender identity to other characteristics covered by existing hate crimes statutes, such as gender, race, religion, disability and national origin.

Bachmann: 'Donald Trump Is Right' On Muslim Immigration Ban

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann praised Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. yesterday, telling WorldNetDaily that “Donald Trump is right” and that his plan "is the only one that ensures the innocence, safety and security of all Americans, Muslims included":

Former GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann said the media is reacting as though citizens of foreign countries have constitutional rights to enter the U.S.

“Donald Trump is right,” said Bachmann, of Minnesota, which has had its share of problems with Islamic terrorists recruiting young Somali refugees.

“Obama’s insane open-door immigration policies are getting innocent Americans killed.

“No one has a right to enter the United States,” Bachmann continued. “Until we can set up a working, fail-safe vetting system, Trump’s idea is the only one that ensures the innocence, safety and security of all Americans, Muslims included.”

Bachmann: Convert As Many Jews As Possible Because Christ Is 'Coming Soon'

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins has been broadcasting his “Washington Watch” radio program from Israel this week, where he is helping to lead an FRC tour group. Also on the tour is former Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, who joined Perkins on the program on Wednesday to share her view that biblical prophecy is being fulfilled all around her and that it is more urgent than ever to convert as many people as possible — including Jews — to Christianity to prepare for the imminent return of Christ.

“Almost every article in the paper” has to do with conflicts in Israel, Bachmann said, “and it ties with so much biblical prophecy. This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways. And we’re seeing as events are speeding up, events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we’re reading our newspaper, at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.”

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” she said, “and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.”

Michele Bachmann: Carolina Flooding Is God's Wrath For U.S. Israel Policy

With parts of North and South the Carolina experiencing devastating floods, former Rep. Michele Bachmann is weighing in by suggesting that the flooding is a sign of God’s wrath for President Obama’s foreign policy. “US turns its back on Israel, disasters following,” she wrote on Twitter:

This isn’t the first time the Tea Party icon has blamed natural disasters on President Obama’s foreign policy.

Back in April, Bachmann said, “If we actually turn our back on Israel, as we are seeing Barack Obama do today, if that happens then I think we will see a scale and a level of pushback in the United States, negative consequences. I don’t know what they are, but I believe that the Bible is true and I believe that what the Bible says is that our nation and the people of our nation will reap a whirlwind. We could see economic disasters, natural disasters. The United States does not want to be in that position and unfortunately the people put into office Barack Obama, not only once but twice, and the people have to rise up against his actions and demand their leaders take steps accordingly.”

Paranoia-Rama: Another Bachmann Prophecy, NASA's Leftist Martian Plot And The UN-Caliphate

While we are disappointed that the many prophecies about a financial crash or a natural disaster hitting the U.S. in September were pretty much a bust, right-wing commentators have new predictions about America’s future, this time involving Mars, Pope Francis and the United Nations.

Michele Bachmann Lies About Drowned Syrian Boy To Attack Refugees

Michele Bachmann joined “Understanding the Times With Jan Markell” over the weekend not only to push her latest End Times claims but also to discuss the refugee crisis resulting from the Syrian civil war.

The former Republican congresswoman and presidential candidate told Markell that Aylan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian boy whose body washing up onto a Turkish beach was captured in a series of iconic photos, was not actually Syrian but from a Turkish family that was trying to reach Europe in order to secure dental benefits. Aylan, his four-year-old brother and his mother died after a boat headed to Greece capsized, three of over 2,600 migrants who have died traveling to Europe this year.

“That was a terrible tragedy but the fact is, that boy’s father and mother were in Turkey; they weren’t from Syria, they were from Turkey,” she said. “The father wanted European-style welfare benefits, he wanted for somebody to pay for the dental care for his kids.”

Bachmann’s assertion is false. The Kurdish boy’s family lived in Damascus before fleeing to Aleppo and then Kobani, each time leaving to avoid fighting. They left Kobani, where Aylan was born, for Turkey after the predominantly Kurdish city became the site of a brutal assault from ISIS forces. Close to two million Syrian refugees live in Turkey, which denies asylum to Syrians along with all non-Europeans, making it very difficult for Syrian refugees to legally rent a house or find a job since they don’t have legal status.

She went on to cite a claim made by Lebanon’s education minister that two of every 100 Syrian refugees are ISIS militants posing as refugees, and agreed with Markell’s claim that accepting Syrian refugees is “national suicide.”

Bachmann: God May Destroy America Over Gay Marriage Just Like Sodom

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann is not backing away from her End Times prophecies about how President Obama and gay rights advocates are paving the way for America’s destruction and the Apocalypse, returning to “Understanding the Times with Janet Markell” this weekend to issue her latest warning.

Denouncing “Barack Obama’s dangerous policies,” Bachmann said that the president is putting America in God’s crosshairs:

When we raise our fist to a holy God and say that we are going to redefine marriage, we are going to be okay with paying a Planned Parenthood to cut up innocent baby parts and sell them for research, that clearly is a problem and as we have seen God render judgment in the days of Noah, in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and so forth throughout history, what the prophets have told every generation is that there is a just God and the people must repent and turn to him. So too in this day of wickedness in our own culture, we need to do the same. We need to repent and we need to confess because a holy Savior is coming to save us and redeem us from this sin-sick world.

Markell said that we are so close to the end that she wondered if the two could witness “the Lord’s literal return even before we finish this broadcast.”

Markell said that while Iranian leaders are “End-Times-focused,” “apocalyptic-oriented,” “excited about the End Times” and “looking for a Messiah,” churches in America have failed to preach about “what the Bible has to say about the incredible Last Days that we are in.”

“Islamic countries are obsessed with End Times and bringing about End Times,” Bachmann replied, claiming that Christian pastors in America must “also observe the times that we live in and explain it from a biblical perspective.”

She added: “Christians all across the United States feel the pulse of something is happening.”
