Linda Harvey: LGBT Movement Helping Turn Kids Into 'Sexual Barbarians'

Back in March, Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign proudly announced the endorsements of "some of Ohio's top conservative leaders," including Mission America's Linda Harvey and Cleveland Right to Life's Molly Smith. Harvey is one of the most extreme anti-LGBT activists in the country, while Smith lastgarnered national attention when she a ngered some of her fellow anti-abortion activists by working against the reelection of Sen. Rob Portman when he came out in favor of marriage equality.

In January, Harvey joined Smith on her daily radio program for an interview thatSmith recently re-posted on her website, in which they discussed how LGBT rights will turn children into "selfish" "sexual barbarians" and repeated unfounded claims about a link between homosexuality and pedophilia.

Smith lamented that "we are destroying our children" by failing to "recognize the devastation that is happening to our children through promoting this unhealthy, abomination style of sexual contact." Harvey agreed that "we are looking at a generation of kids that are coming up who will have, who will be such, or at least a fair number of them will be such sexual barbarians."

Harvey said that when children are "sexualized early" they learn to toss "people away from your own pleasure," and that the same thing happens with homosexuality because "when you take pregnancy out of the mix, the opportunities are infinitely more and it seems as though the consequences are less."

Someone with that mindset, she said, "is just that much more selfish, that much more immediate-gratification-oriented, and there are so many character issues that are related to letting that happen."

Smith responded that it's important to "help" people when a "life incident that has turned them to homosexual behavior, we need to support them to turn back again and to become fully functional human beings." She added that she made her comments "with love."

The two then discussed an interview that Smith recently conducted with Walt Heyer, a man who formerly identified as a transgender woman and has written about being abused as a child, which Smith cited as proof that "the abuse that's going on within the homosexual community" is being covered up.

"So we are being told to be quiet about the abuse that's going on within the homosexual community, we're not allowed to talk about it unless it happens to be a pastor or a priest, and then it's all over the place about how they are pedophiles," she said. "I mean, yeah. The same thing is going on within the supposed mainstream homosexual behavior too."

"Right, and Christianity tends to put a lid on those human impulses," Harvey responded.

Anti-LGBT Activists Mobilize To Protest 'Satanic' Day Of Silence

When the Day of Silence takes place one week from tomorrow, Religious Right groups are urging parents to keep their children home from school if students decide to participate. During the Day of Silence, sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN), students take a vow of silence in solidarity with closeted and bullied LGBT youth.

The groups organizing the “DOS Walkout” include the American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, state chapters of Concerned Women for America and the Coalition of African-American Pastors, a front group for the National Organization for Marriage.

They have joined forces with smaller groups such as Scott Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries, Brian Camenker’s MassResistance, Peter LaBarbera’s Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, Janet Porter’s Faith 2 Action and Linda Harvey’s Mission America in urging parents to “actively oppose this hijacking of the classroom for political purposes” by “calling your child out of school if your child's school allows students and/or teachers to refuse to speak during instructional time on the Day of Silence.”

Harvey penned a WorldNetDaily column warning that the Day of Silence is a Satanic (and Marxist!) plot to destroy America:

The “Day of Silence” is a stunning example of the widespread indoctrination of youth culture with trashy, deviant behavior masquerading as acceptable conduct. The GLSEN-sponsored pro-homosexual event is a well-developed exercise in cultural Marxism and, I have come to believe, a tragic symbol of the rapid demise of America.

And ironically, it poses as a protest of “bullying.” Satan is laughing as he messes with the minds and bodies of our dear children. This event is a blatant exercise in mental, emotional, physical and spiritual molestation as our children become apologists for sodomy and gender confusion.

Instead of discussing LGBT themes with students, Harvey recommends that school officials simply declare that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people don’t exist:

What if we declared that there are, or shouldn’t be, any such students? That no one is born this way? That these are destructive behaviors that no conference should ever, ever be detailing to our precious kids? And these are identities that no day of silence should ever honor?

She said on her daily radio broadcast yesterday that “it’s a really sad situation when impressionable kids are manipulated” by those who “promote homosexuality and gender confusion.”

“No one, especially young people, should take on this identity and behavior,” she said of homosexuality, while claiming that the event persecutes opponents of gay rights.

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute accused GLSEN of “silencing” conservatives:

"They're exploiting legitimate, anti-bullying sentiment to achieve their ultimate goal of eradicating conservative, moral, social, and political beliefs about homosexuality, or at least silencing them," she adds.

She says parents who keep their children home on that day should tell school administrators they're doing so because schools participating in Day of Silence are allowing classrooms with captive audiences to be politicized.

Ex-gay activist Linda Wall of MassResistance Virginia marked the occasion by posting a three-part series on her website titled “The Day of Silence – ‘We’re Coming After Your Children.’”

In it, she lamented that there are children who are “mentally being raped by this effort” and claimed that it “should be criminal for schools to promote such a behavior that is life threatening.”

As someone who had been in homosexual behavior for almost ten years and was no longer a part of that sinful behavior, my heart went out to the unsuspecting children who were mentally being raped by this effort to normalize a behavior that the three major religions of the world call abominable.

Let’s look at this through Heaven’s eyes. Jesus made it very clear how He felt about harming the children when He said if one harmed one of the little ones who believed in Him, it would be better for them for a millstone to be tied around their neck and thrown in the river.

What must Jesus think about this Day of Silence occurring in the schools? What must He think about Christian parents who send their children to school on that day? What must He think about Christian school teachers who attend school on that day? Each year there is a counter event occurring on The Day of Silence called Day of Silence Walkout.

Homosexuality is one of the numerous sexual perversions spreading through society like an out of control California brush fire. It destroys everything in its path. I know this because I was a part of it until I reached the end of my “rope of homosexuality”. A day did come that I realized I was wrong, I needed forgiveness and I needed the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just a few days ago I received a call from a Massachusetts mother, weeping over her son. She explained that her son became involved in homosexuality in high school after joining the school [endorsed?] gay club (Gay Straight Alliance). When he went to college he took every ‘gender’ course they offered. He is twenty two now and his mom said, “the schools destroyed him”. She is so fearful that his life will be ended early by one of the many diseases associated with his homosexual behavior that her heart is broken.

On April 15th the schools in this country will once again be celebrating the Day of Silence. Why are schools allowing a behavior that shortens one’s life span by 20 years and opens the door to 30 health risks (CDC) to be celebrated in their schools? It is reckless and should be criminal for schools to promote such a behavior that is life threatening.

Linda Harvey Floats Boycotts Of NFL & NBA For Supporting LGBT Rights

Mission America’s Linda Harvey is preparing to launch more boycott campaigns, this time against the NFL and NBA for criticizing anti-LGBT legislation passed in Georgia and North Carolina, respectively.

In a WorldNetDaily column today titled “Will GOP Run or Stand Against Pink Goliath?,” the Religious Right activist and radio host blamed the leagues’ “spiteful lesbian lawyers” for their reactions, urging “real men” to stand up to them.

“Time for some boycotts, sports fans,” she said.

What happened to real men in pro sports? Or are their spiteful lesbian lawyers calling the shots? Time for some boycotts, sports fans.

The North Carolina politicians did the right thing. GOP officials in South Dakota and Tennessee should act with similar courage. American has witnessed a few recent examples of GOP spine, standing against the rabid homosexual lobby, but still way too many RINO Republicans yield to “sextremists” under growing pressure from business, Hollywood and professional sports.

Gender confusion is not everyone else’s problem. It’s your problem. It is not the responsibility of the world to rearrange itself to hide mental illness. And while we should extend compassion to such confused people, our tolerance ends at the normalization of instability and perversion, and risk to children.

Disney, Marvel and Viacom said they wouldn’t make films in Georgia if the bill became law. The NFL was hinting that Atlanta wouldn’t be considered to host a future Super Bowl if the bill became law. Where are the real men? Come on, players; you don’t all agree with this position by the league! Someone speak out and say so.

Ted Cruz Is 'Thrilled To Announce' The Endorsement Of Linda Harvey

Earlier this year, we reported that a handful of right-wing activists in Ohio, including anti-gay activist Linda Harvey of Mission America, had issued a press release announcing their support for Ted Cruz but that these endorsements had not been officially promoted or announced by the Cruz campaign.

That changed yesterday when the Cruz campaign "announced the endorsements of more than 30 key Ohio leaders, including clergy, elected officials, and activists," including three of the activists we highlighted in our original post: Harvey, Phil Burress of Citizens for Community Values Action and Molly Smith of Cleveland Right to Life.

“I am thrilled to announce such outstanding endorsements from Ohio leaders,” said Cruz. “These are some of Ohio’s top conservative leaders and they add to our incredible list of courageous conservatives from all across the Buckeye State.”

In honor of the Cruz campaign's announcement, we decided to republish our earlier post in order to remind everyone just whom Cruz is embracing:

Perhaps Harvey thinks that Cruz will be the president she has longed for who will issue “an Emancipation Proclamation … to free America from the tyranny of sodomy.”

Harvey, who is boycotting so many pro-LGBT businesses that she complains she is running out of places to shop, has just this year:

Harvey has also advised parents not to let gay doctors or nurses treat their children, even when they’re hospitalized, and has insisted that “there is no proof that there’s ever anything like a gay, lesbian or bisexual or transgendered child, or teen or human.”

Burress and Smith also have anti-gay records that allow them to fit right in with their fellow Cruz supporters. Burress, whose Citizens for Community Values is the Ohio state affiliate of the Family Research Council, was an influential player in the passage of waves of anti-gay-marriage legislation in the 1990s and early 2000s, although his true passion is fighting against pornography. Smith, the head of Cleveland Right to Life and a leader of the fetal personhood group Personhood Alliance, has clashed with the National Right to Life Committee over her anti-gay activism.

Both Burress and Smith have fought to stop the Republican Party from becoming too friendly to gay people, attacking Ohio Sen. Rob Portman when he came out in favor of marriage equality. Burress, who called Portman “a very troubled man,” urged the senator to put his gay son into ex-gay therapy and later vowed to run a primary challenger against him.

Linda Harvey: Parents Should Take To The Streets To Oppose LGBT Rights

In her weekly WorldNetDaily column yesterday, Mission America’s Linda Harvey once again railed against LGBT rights, this time voicing her outrage about the Ad Council’s “Love has No Labels” video.

Harvey complained that the video, which features same-sex couples, “makes some of us want to gag” and, on top of that, undermines the true spirit of Valentine’s Day.

“These ads flagrantly celebrate sin interspersed with legitimate relationships, in the typical 'LGBT' practice of using natural families and even impressionable children as human shields,” she wrote, warning that acceptance of same-sex couples will eventually normalize incest and pedophilia.

Harvey also said that a LGBT-themed youth conference sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign over Valentine’s Day weekend “should draw parents nationwide to the streets in protest.”

How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day? God is the author of love, and Scripture reveals some marvelous descriptions of both human and godly love.

But the contrast between God’s expressions of love and some in our secular culture could not be greater.

Many of you have seen the TV ad showing couples hugging and kissing behind a screen where they appear only in X-ray form. This campaign from Valentine’s Day last year continued into 2016.

When one couple emerges from behind the screen, the audience gasps to see two women. In the longer YouTube version, a small boy accompanies a male couple, presumably making them a “family.” The ad’s tag lines try to convince us that “love has no gender” and “love has no labels.”

Which makes some of us want to gag. These ads flagrantly celebrate sin interspersed with legitimate relationships, in the typical “LGBT” practice of using natural families and even impressionable children as human shields.

Are you buying this, that it doesn’t matter what form love takes? That’s what “LGBT” groups have been selling for years, the cultural deceit that many relationships one calls love can be justifiably sexualized. No caring person should object, it is claimed, and experimental forms deserve “equality” and even legitimacy as marriage.

The recklessness of such policies is obvious to many of you, I’m sure. Are there limits? How about adults and teens? How about siblings? Do these types of “love” deserve no labels?

But what should draw parents nationwide to the streets in protest is the type of “love” being promoted to vulnerable minors by adults in positions of seeming credibility. And on Valentine’s Day weekend, no less.

The largest homosexual group in the country, the Human Rights Campaign, is sponsoring again this year a conference for teachers, youth counselors and youth themselves, February 12-14, near Dallas, Texas. Last year’s conference in Portland was radical enough. This year’s is even worse.

Called “Time to Thrive,” this presentation of legitimized sleaze is like so many aspects of the homosexual agenda directed to youth: The labels and terms are deceptive, because no child or teen will “thrive” if they embrace homosexuality or gender confusion.

Linda Harvey: 'Gaystapo' Now 'Full Of Pink Testosterone'

In her weekly column for WorldNetDaily yesterday, Mission America’s Linda Harvey railed against “the GOP establishment” for “‘going gay,’” warning that doing so “will eviscerate the GOP.”

Harvey said that gay peoples’ “aberrant sexual conduct is a blight on America” that’s “sinful, unhealthy and immoral, and there is no need for anyone to engage in it” since “people are not constructed for these bizarre behaviors.” This “behavior,” she wrote, is “tearing our country – and families – apart.”

Angry that gay conservative commentator Guy Benson is making an appearance at CPAC in March, Harvey warned that Republicans are “becoming willing tools of the gaystapo” whose leaders are “full of pink testosterone” and bent on promoting “child-endangering, changeable deviance.”

Jeb Bush and John Kasich hired them for key campaign staff positions.

John Boehner and others campaigned for them.

Speaker Paul Ryan said he would vote to grant them special rights.

Chris Christie happily signed a key bill granting their New Jersey leaders full access to children in public schools under the guise of preventing “bullying.”

And Nikki Haley pledged that a future Republican president “… would respect differences in modern families” while respecting religious freedom, which many see as irreconcilable objectives.

I’m talking, of course, about those involved in proud homosexual behavior. It’s true there’s nothing foundationally different about these people. Each is made in the image of God and shares constitutional rights with every other American. But their aberrant sexual conduct is a blight on America. It’s sinful, unhealthy and immoral, and there is no need for anyone to engage in it. People are not constructed for these bizarre behaviors.

And regarding establishment GOP leaders, it seems they’re becoming willing tools of the gaystapo, the same revolutionaries who routinely bully bakers, florists, photographers and innkeepers without batting an eyelash.

The Human Rights Campaign and others are now so full of pink testosterone that they boldly advocate denial of First Amendment religious freedoms to anyone who resists the required obeisance: bowing before homosexual and transgendered demands – which is why no open homosexuals, even if they claim affinity with conservative values, deserve a key platform, like Townhall’s Guy Benson will get at the upcoming CPAC meeting March 2-5. Benson is an advocate of same-sex “marriage.”

Our future president should respect two “moms” who happily omit a father figure? Haley and others are pledging support for behavior tearing our country – and families – apart, conduct God calls an abomination.

Respect from the “gay rights” movement toward other views? There is none. This movement divides and destroys, all because of unhealthy, deviant behavior, and it will eviscerate the GOP if they embrace child-endangering, changeable deviance.

Cruz Gets Another Anti-Gay Endorser: Linda Harvey

As Kyle pointed out a few weeks ago, people who hate gay people sure do seem to love Ted Cruz.

Today, Cruz can add another name to his long list of anti-gay endorsers: Mission America’s Linda Harvey, who as a columnist and host of a conservative radio show spreads some of the most extreme anti-gay rhetoric in the country.

Harvey announced her support for Cruz in a joint press release with a number of Ohio conservatives, including Phil Burress of Citizens for Community Values and Molly Smith of Cleveland Right to Life. The release directs supporters to the website of Keep The Promise, a pro-Cruz Super PAC led by Religious Right activist David Barton, but the endorsements have not been promoted by the PAC or the Cruz campaign, at least not yet.

Burress, who called Portman “a very troubled man,” urged the senator to put his gay son into ex-gay therapy and later vowed to run a primary challenger against him.

Linda Harvey: 'The Meanest And Most Hateful Thing You Can Do' Is Support Gay Rights

Mission America’s Linda Harvey is on a mission to stop the Equality Act in Congress, telling Cleveland Right to Life’s Molly Smith on her radio program last week that endorsing such LGBT equality measures is “the least compassionate, the meanest and most hateful thing you can do” because it will cause more people to think it’s okay to be LGBT.

Harvey urged listeners to call their members of Congress and urge them to oppose the legislation and said that she’s trying to get GOP presidential candidates to promise to veto it. (She’s already extracted a veto promise from Marco Rubio.)

She told Smith that the Equality Act would “affect our entire country,” which has already been damaged enough by “the people that want to endorse open homosexual behavior and take us all into this sewer of younger and younger children declaring themselves homosexual or transgender.”

She added that the “tragedies in personal lives that are directly attributable to this is just amazing.”

When Smith interjected a reminder that Christians should “love” gay people even while being “completely, completely opposed to the behavior of a homosexual,” Harvey agreed.

“They’ve been told that this is compassion,” Harvey said. “And we all feel compassion for these people, and some of them are struggling. Some of them are not struggling, some of them are very happy with where they’re at and then they want the whole world to change around them and the desires they have adopted.

“That can’t happen. We want truth. We want truth to be maintained for those people who are struggling and who want to escape it, we don’t want more children to be drawn into this and so, on a public policy level, the least compassionate, the meanest and most hateful thing you can do is to endorse things that will accelerate and confirm this behavior in more and more people in our country.”

Harvey also worried that the Equality Act would accelerate a trend in schools toward students thinking that being gay is “wonderful and you should just embrace it.”

“We should not be implying that to kids anywhere,” she said, “but it’s throughout the curriculum. It’s not just in sex education, it’s in social studies, it’s in English literature. They read these books that have openly homosexual and always attractive homosexual characters. There’s never one that’s presented as if there’s a problem with that.”

Linda Harvey: Pro-LGBT Companies Are Like 'Concentration Camps'

On Saturday, Mission America’s Linda Harvey spoke with Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality about how she and other anti-gay activists are running out of places to shop because so many major businesses have announced their support for LGBT rights.

Harvey criticized the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, which she called “a huge fascist scheme to reward homosexual, this immoral behavior, and I can’t imagine how many hundreds of thousands of stories there are out there that we never hear about of people in the workplace whose views are silenced and feel like they work in a concentration camp.”

“Well yes, that’s what political correctness does,” LaBarbera said. “It forces people to be victimized at work.”

In a recent radio commentary, Harvey similarly vented her outrage that she can’t find anywhere to go Christmas shopping because “the big retailers” are “doing everything the homosexual movement wants them to do.”
