The American Family Association was not pleased with President Obama’s recent proclamation commemorating LGBT pride month, posting a video on its website last week taking particular issue with the president’s mention that his administration has “worked to strengthen our National HIV/AIDS Strategy to reduce new infections, increase access to care, and improve health outcomes for people living with HIV.” In the video, AFA’s president, Tim Wildmon, it’s executive vice president, Ed Vitagliano, and Abe Hamilton, a public policy analyst, discuss the proclamation... If Glenn Beck really cannot believe that Ann Coulter "would intentionally dump poison in the country's bloodstream," then he is laughably naive. Alveda King says that "just as terrorists breach the sanctuaries of homes around the world, so too does U. S. government establishment seek to breach the sanctuary of the womb by forcing its HHS mandate on Americans despite objections from many of us with deeply held religious beliefs." Michael Brown declares that "Christians Must Unite Now Against Gay Bullies and Their Allies." The Media Research... MORE >

Yesterday on American Family Radio’s “Today’s Issues,” Rafael Cruz chatted with Ed Vitagliano about the need to elect his son, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, president of the United States and prevent the appointment of a “liberal justice” to the Supreme Court. “With the passing of Justice Scalia, the Supreme Court is in a precarious balance,” he said. “One more liberal justice and we lose the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, we lose the right to life and abortion on demand to the point of delivery will become the law of the land, we... Next weekend, GOP presidential contenders and top lawmakers will mingle with some of the most extreme Religious Right activists in the country at the Values Voter Summit, an annual event in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Family Research Council, the American Family Association, American Values, and others. Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, Lindsey Graham and Ben Carson have all confirmed that they will be speaking at the event. Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Chris Christie and John Kasich have been invited but have not yet confirmed their... MORE >

Just as they did during the last two presidential election cycles, Religious Right activists are trying to unify behind one candidate in order to stop an unacceptably "moderate" front-runner. We are sure it'll work this time. Jay Richards claims that recognizing marriage equality "strikes at the foundation of individual rights." AFA Executive Vice President Ed Vitagliano tells WND that there is a "tendency for gay activists to want basically the whole world to be gay." We are not quite sure how Brietbart.com thinks that it has "debunked... MORE >

Anti-gay Presbyterian theologian Robert Gagnon stopped by the American Family Association radio program “Today’s Issues” today to discuss the decision of the largest Presbyterian denomination in the country, the Presbyterian Church (USA), to approve of same-sex marriage. When the AFA’s Ed Vitagliano asked Gagnon “how in the world our culture has moved so rapidly” on acceptance of homosexuality, Gagnon responded that there were “lots of factors,” including a “full-court press” from elites and “natural concerns” about gay... Likely GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson appeared on the American Family Association’s radio network today to promote his book, “You Have a Brain: A Teen’s Guide to Think Big.” “We live in a culture of heavy indoctrination, it starts in preschool and people try to influence the way people think about things,” Carson told host Ed Vitagliano. “I think it was Stalin who said, ‘Give me the children for a few years and I will have them for life.’ And the point being that it is relatively easy at that inflexion point to indoctrinate people... In an interview on American Family Radio today, Operation Rescue’s Troy Newman claimed that low-income women use abortions “like birth control pills” and compared abortions to “Obama phones,” the name given by a racist meme to a decades-old program that provides low-cost or free phone service to some people in poverty so they can access things like emergency services. When AFR host Ed Vitagliano asked Newman why “abortions are three times more likely to be performed on a woman with Medicaid,” he responded, “It’s free.” “These... MORE >
