  • A judge has ordered Dinesh D'Souza to continue his court-ordered psychological counseling because he continues "to demonstrate arrogance regarding his case."
  • NOM rejoices that, supposedly, "the nations refuses to accept the redefinition of marriage."
  • Ted Baehr says that multiculturalism "is like the AIDS virus."
  • Frank Turek explains why those who believe in evolution can't support gay marriage: "If natural selection has a goal of survival, then how could same-sex marriage help with that? Such marriages are an agreement to stay in a sterile and medically unhealthy relationship—the exact antithesis of survival. In fact, if everyone lived faithfully in same-sex marriage, the human race would end quite quickly."
  • Finally, Bill Keller demands that "NBCUniversal apologize on all of their media properties for mocking and demeaning Christians, as well as giving equal representation for the views of born-again Bible-believing Christians on their programs when they are discussing Biblical sins such as homosexuality, the perversion of Biblical marriage between a man and a woman, and the murder of innocent babies in the womb."

Dinesh D'Souza Posts Fake Photo Of Hillary Clinton With Confederate Flag

UPDATE: D'Souza changed the Facebook post to read: "Even if the #ConfederateFlag was edited into this Hillary photo, WHAT is going on with those glasses and that hairdo?"

Right-wing “intellectual” Dinesh D’Souza today tweeted out a photo that purportedly shows Hillary Clinton sitting in front of a Confederate flag. He also shared the image on his Facebook page.

D’Souza isn’t the only conservative to post the picture, despite the fact that it’s fake.

Dinesh D'Souza: Left Hates Me Because 'I'm A Non-White, Immigrant, Patriot'

Last week, End Times broadcaster Rick Wiles said that President Obama is possessed by demons and is the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, and decided to invite right-wing author Dinesh D’Souza onto his radio show to discuss “Barack Obama’s agenda to remake America.”

After the Trunews” host asked D’Souza’ why the so-called liberal media “hates” him, the conservative pundit claimed that the Left despises him “precisely because I am a non-white, immigrant, patriot that exposes a lot of the Obama administration running amok, all of this craziness that masquerades under the name of progressivism or progress. I’m blowing the whistle on these scoundrels, so naturally they’re unhappy with me, and I’m happy about that.”

D’Souza said that “old America” — the land of traditional, patriotic values — is “under siege” by “a government that is aggressively attacking the values of that America, trying, in Obama’s words, to remake America. I am here to try to stop that remaking, I kind of like the America that the founders designed.”

Dinesh D'Souza: 'Liberals Coddle Islamic Radicalism'

Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza stopped by “The Steve Mazlberg Show” on Newsmax TV yesterday to claim that people who criticize the publication of cartoons depicting Mohammad have actually empowered terrorists such as those behind the Charlie Hebdo attack.

D’Souza even suggested that progressives and radical Islamists have joined forces to quash free speech through government oppression and violence.

“It’s a particular irony of our time that it is we conservatives who have now become the defenders of the liberal tradition while these so-called liberals coddle this Islamic radicalism,’” D’Souza said. “They are willing to suppress free speech on the campus, so they are licensing the curtailment of speech and in a sense acceding to the Islamic radicals who say, ‘Listen, you want to outlaw speech on campus, we want to outlaw it by shooting people who do it.’”

Dinesh D'Souza Wants To Give Obama A Spanking

Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza spoke with Newsmax host Steve Malzberg today about how Republicans in Congress should respond to President Obama’s executive action on immigration. As D’Souza cogently explained, the GOP should treat him like a spoiled baby who needs a good spanking.

D’Souza called Obama an “extremely spoiled brat” who has “been a spoiled brat since he was two,” insisting that the president is acting like a misbehaved infant who wants to “see whether you spank him or not.”

“And the big question is, will the Republicans now do what is needed and spank him?” D’Souza asked.

D’Souza said that the GOP should organize a rally of immigrants who opposed Obama’s plans, noting that he wouldn’t be able to attend such a rally since he is under travel restrictions after pleading guilty to violating campaign finance laws.

Obama, D’Souza said, doesn’t care for patriotic immigrants like D’Souza and instead wants immigrants who share his supposed contempt for America: “The key issue has never been immigration or non-immigration but what kind of immigrants we want in this country and whether they come legally or illegally. We want immigrants who will pull the bandwagon; he wants immigrants who will sit in the bandwagon. We want immigrants who embody the spirit of 1776; he wants immigrants who embody the envious, covetous spirit of 1968. So we’re fighting over whether we want productive immigrants or unproductive people like Obama himself.”

Dinesh D'Souza: Obama Using Ebola To Act As 'President Of The World'

Conservative pundit Dinesh D’Souza managed to avoid a prison sentence for campaign finance violations, so is now free to continue hawking his new book and spreading his wisdom on current affairs at right-wing outlets such as Newsmax.

Newsmax host Steve Malzberg invited D’Souza on his program today to discuss President Obama’s response to the Ebola epidemic, specifically the president’s comments criticizing the widely-panned decisions in several states to quarantine asymptomatic healthcare providers returning from West Africa.

D’Souza said that while he senses that “there’s something very strange that’s kind of going on here,” he thinks that Obama “probably” isn’t trying to exact “anti-colonial revenge” by starting an Ebola epidemic in America, despite reports to that effect that he had seen on the internet.

“On the other hand,” D’Souza said, “I would be willing to say that here’s a guy that seeks to view things from the global point of view and he doesn’t seem to recognize his special responsibility to American citizens.”

“We elected him, he took an oath to protect and defend our interests. So, enough of this ‘President of the World’ nonsense, it’s time to start protecting American interests, Mr. President!”

Right Wing Bonus Tracks - 10/6/14

  • Speaker John Boehner does not seem too concerned about the effort by anti-gay Religious Right groups to mobilize voters against gay Republican candidate Carl DeMaio.
  • Glenn Beck doesn't understand why nobody believes his new peace, love, and understanding message: "Why can’t we stop calling each other names? I know this is hard for many people to swallow from me. I do not claim to be perfect. In fact far from it. But everyone needs to start somewhere. I am trying to change my ways and be a better man. It begins with listening to others and not claiming to have all of the answers. It begins with humility and a willingness to admit to being wrong."
  • It is amazing that Dinesh D'Souza is actually treated as a serious intellectual by those on the Right.
  • Jan Markell does not have much faith in government efforts to convince American Muslims not to go overseas to fight jihad: "This is liberalism run amok. When liberalism gets away with these kinds of things, eventually there's going to be carnage on a mass scale, because they are willing to look the other way because of political correctness."
  • Gina Loudon warns that "the Democrats need the illegal vote to win in 2016, because they can’t win with only the vote of the American people. And they will win at any cost, even if it means Americans are infected with Third-World diseases ... This is no longer about Republicans versus Democrats. The midterm elections are about life versus death. This election and the 2016 election have become about one party that respects freedom and life, and one that thinks you are not only stupid, but expendable."

Paranoia-Rama: Obama Is Helping 'His ISIS Buddies,' Introducing 'National Socialism' And Persecuting Conservatives

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

While he isn’t busy persecuting conservative activists, President Obama spends his time helping ISIS fighters avoid airstrikes…that he himself ordered. At least, that’s what we learned this week in the alternate reality of the far-right.

5. Stop Persecuting Tony Perkins, Says Tony Perkins

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins has made it quite clear that he believes anti-gay activists like himself will soon be forced into the “boxcars” that will be “hauling off Christians” to concentration camps, and he has kept up the warnings of impending persecution while discussing the FRC’s Values Voter Summit, which starts today.

In a fundraising appeal to FRC supporters this week, Perkins warned that “American democracy simply cannot survive” the attacks coming from “far Left activists and the radical homosexual lobby.” Oh his “Washington Watch” radio show, he recounted the purported ways that Democrats and progressive groups are trying to “silence” him and overturn the First Amendment.

4. Dinesh D’Souza Is Also Being Persecuted, Of Course

After switching his plea from not guilty to guilty for making illegal campaign donations, a felony, conservative activist Dinesh D’Souza was sentenced to eight months probation in a community confinement center along with psychological therapy. The sentencing prompted yet another media tour for D’Souza, who insisted that his prosecution for breaking the law — which he admitted to doing — amounts to political persecution.

D’Souza boasted in an interview with WorldNetDaily that the government was not “successful in shutting me up,” and the conservative activist told Glenn Beck that the prosecution came at the orders from the “petty” President Obama. Beck even said that D’Souza “is a political prisoner,” despite the fact that D’Souza was not sentenced to any prison time.

3. ‘National Socialism’ a-Comin’

Sen. Pat Roberts is doing whatever it takes to salvage his foundering re-election campaign, and this week he alleged that, as a result of President Obama’s time in office, “our country is heading for national socialism.”

Roberts defended his remarks by explaining that Obama wants to turn the U.S. into “a European socialistic state,” adding: “You can’t tell me anything that he has not tried to nationalize.”

And if rhetoric like that doesn’t work, Roberts will shore up his standing with the Tea Party crowd with the help of his latest booster: Sarah Palin.

2. People Who Believe In Climate Change Are Just Like Hitler

Rush Limbaugh knows the real reason people believe that human activities are influencing climate change. No, not because there is a consensus among climate scientists on the matter, but as Limbaugh explains, “it’s all politics.”

“It is a politics that intentionally insults the intelligence of people and preys on the dumb and the stupid and the weak,” Limbaugh said while definitely not projecting. In order to find “meaning in their lives,” Limbaugh explained, people start thinking they have the power to “save the planet” and start to feel “their new life has meaning” and that “they can make a difference.”

And you know who else thought he could make a difference with his life? Hitler.

“Hitler made a difference,” he said. “Stop and think about that.”

1. Obama Is Shielding ISIS While Bombing Them

Conservatives are having a difficult time rationalizing the fact that President Obama has launched hundreds of airstrikes against ISIS and other extremist groups while at the same time insisting that he is a secret Muslim and terrorist sympathizer.

Tom DeLay, for instance, said that Obama is doing nothing to stop ISIS and “ought to wear a pink t-shirt because he is an anti-war president,” while Rick Wiles wondered if Obama is protecting “his ISIS buddings” and has possibly tipped them off to U.S. airstrike targets.

American Family Association spokesman Bryan Fischer had his own take, arguing that the Obama administration is deliberately trying to hit empty buildings and minimize casualties among the ISIS ranks.

'It's Really Sick': Glenn Beck Says Dinesh D'Souza Is 'A Political Prisoner'

Dinesh D'Souza is now basically taking a victory lap around conservative media outlets after having avoided a prison sentence for violating campaign finance laws, appearing on Glenn Beck's radio show today to assert that he was directly targeted by President Obama because Obama is "a petty, vindictive guy."

D'Souza insisted that he was only prosecuted for breaking the law because President Obama lashes out at all of his critics because "he is a very dysfunctional guy with a very dysfunctional family. I mean, he's got family members who have each other followed, they spread rumors and try to undermine each other, they hire people to look out and so this is a very bizarre situation and Obama is a very petty, vindictive guy."

"I don't have to speculate that he doesn't like me, I know that," D'Souza asserted, "and it's hard for me to believe that [the government was] treating me normally, like any other guy who did this."

Glenn Beck agreed, declaring that D'Souza was "the first real political prisoner that I have seen this president make."

"This is a political prisoner, make no mistake," Beck said. "He was only prosecuted, they only found this stuff because they were going through everything to stop him. And it's sick. It's really sick":

Dinesh D'Souza: Government Is 'Shutting Me Up' With Campaign Finance Trial

Dinesh D’Souza was sentenced yesterday to eight months in a “community confinement center,” along with a fine, community service and required psychological therapy, for making illegal campaign contributions to a Republican Senate candidate.

Before pleading guilty and expressing remorse, D’Souza plead not guilty in order to “get his story out there” and claim that President Obama was unfairly targeting him for prosecution.

Despite finally admitting that he broke the law, D’Souza still claims that he is the victim of a government hit job. “I didn’t want the government to to [sic] be successful in shutting me up,” he told WorldNetDaily, arguing that the government wanted him “immobilized as a public critic.”

D’Souza went on to claim that criminal investigations into GOP governors Rick Perry, Chris Christie and Scott Walker are also “politically” motivated: “somebody is trying to put them away.”

In other words, D’Souza isn’t sorry and still believes he’s the victim of an Obama administration conspiracy against him.

“I am contrite for what I did, and I tried to express that,” he said. “But I also tried at the same time not to allow the case to deter me from making public criticism of the Obama administration.”

“I didn’t want the government to to [sic] be successful in shutting me up,” he said. “I wanted to continue to speak out candidly and uninhibitedly. I did that.”

He acknowledged the judge at times saw his stance as inconsistent with a contrite attitude. “I don’t think it is inconsistent,” he told WND. “I think it’s quite possible to say, (a) I’m contrite for exceeding the campaign finance laws and for breaking the law, and (b) the Obama administration has been doing a lot of bad stuff, and I’m going to call them on it.”

He pointed out his lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, is a Democrat and was reluctant at first to believe there was any political motive behind the prosecution.

“As the case proceeded, however, he became more and more befuddled by the governments’ conduct,” D’Souza said of his lawyer. “When he saw the government’s sentencing brief, it persuaded him that something was very fishy here.”

WND asked D’Souza if he saw the sentence as a defeat for the Obama administration. “Well, given the disproportion between what they sought and what I got, it’s hard to see the government as being pleased with this verdict,” he replied. “I imagine that they are not happy with it.

“I would have felt very bad if I would have been somehow effectively immobilized as a public critic,” he said. “That hasn’t happened, and it’s not going to happen, and I feel very good about that.”

“I was hoping that the justice system would come through for me, despite what the administration might seek, and it did,” he said.

D’Souza said that if the Obama administration is “successful in being able to immobilize its critics, that sends a shiver of fear throughout the country, and it actually undermines the freedom of speech that is essential in democracy.”

He noted that three possible 2016 Republican presidential candidates have found themselves under indictment or facing charges, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

“So, quite apart from the merits of each case, it’s a very strange situation when three leading Republicans who could be in the presidential running next time around – somebody is trying to put them away,” he said. “And that somebody happens to disagree with them politically.”

Two Million Bikers Fall 99.9% Short

The group Two Million Bikers to DC organized its second annual rally on the National Mall yesterday, which, like its predecessor, fell far short of the goal expressed in the group’s name. Organizers said the event was meant to honor people killed in the 9/11 attacks as well as first responders and veterans – presumably that’s how they sold it to corporate sponsor Budweiser – but rally speakers also used the event to rail against President Barack Obama, Congress, and an array of right-wing targets, including gun control, Common Core educational standards, the EPA, regulation of small businesses, the destruction of free enterprise, the Bundy Ranch standoff between the BLM and armed protestors, and Obama’s purportedly fraudulent re-election.

Although organizers got pre-event press promising “thousands” of bikers – not 2 million – descending on the nation’s capital, I didn’t see more than a couple hundred at the event’s peak. Fewer than 50 were left to hear the final speakers. More than one speaker took note of the dispiritingly small crowd.

Those who made it to the Mall did get to hear some personal remembrances of 9-11 from a New York firefighter, a paramedic, and a clergyman who worked at Ground Zero, and a mother whose son joined the military in the wake of 9/11 and was killed overseas.

But uniting them and other speakers was hostility toward the Obama administration and anger at the perception that the president will not clearly identify Islamist extremism as the nation’s enemy. Among the conspiracy theories heard from the podium were the claim from Second Amendment activist and self-described “gun chick” Jan Morgan that the U.N. small arms treaty was about disarming Americans, and the assertion by “Pope” Dan Johnson that “NATO came together in a meeting and this administration signed that NATO pact to tell Christians or to tell any religion what they can and cannot do.” Morgan said she didn’t believe Obama had actually won re-election because she knows about votes counted in Barcelona, Spain, and dead people who voted six times.

Johnson, a Kentucky coordinator for the biker group, contrasted his remarks with Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. “I have a nightmare,” he yelled. America, he said, is living a nightmare at Ground Zero and a nightmare in the White House. The mother of a fallen serviceman said of President Obama, “We must get rid of him…we must get him out of our White House before he takes this nation down.”

Right-wing pundit Wayne Dupree railed against the media, which he said has given Obama a pass for six years. He complained that conservative activists have been demonized as racists. “This administration is racist,” he said. “Everybody in there is racist.”

“Entertainment” was provided by Madison Rising, a metal band that played songs they describe as patriotic. One in their first set contained the chorus, “We don't want to have to bring out guns but we're ready if it goes there.” That sort of rhetoric mirrors the theme of Larry Klayman’s failed revolutionary rally in D.C. last year, at which Two Million Bikers organizer Belinda Bee spoke. Manny Vega, a Marine vet and self-described “Three Percenter” also spoke at both rallies.

Vega, who as one of the final speakers faced a very sparse crowd, seemed bummed out by the small turnout. “There should be millions of people,” he said, recalling photos of Vietnam War protests filling the entire mall. “What are we doing? A couple patriots out here.” Vega said more truck drivers, waitresses, bikers, and mechanics need to get involved and get elected.

“I’ll be damned if I am 30 years old and I’m cursing the politicians in that Capitol Hill. My son’s going to be 30 years old gearing up, buying weapons, buying their armored vests. Who’d have thought that we’d live in a country where the American citizens are arming up to fight a tyrannical government, ‘cuz that is what it is. Who’d have thought? How many people here have aligned themselves with militias or are already prepping to go to war with the federal government? [Someone shouted ‘don’t raise your hands,’ but some folks did] To go to war? Who should go to war?  No American citizen should go to war. I’ll tell you something, it’s changed. The relationship between the people and those bastards over there that are supposedly supposed to represent us. And they are not doing it.”

The event was also sponsored by Dinesh D’Souza’s “America: Imagine the World Without Her.” The day before the rally, D’Souza tweeted, “On 9/11 anniversary tomorrow I am speaking at huge biker rally on the national mall in Washington DC.” He sold some books -- nothing close to the huge number that his optimistic publisher had brought– and took pictures with fans. Unfortunately, I missed D’Souza’s comments when I took a break, but based on the speaker who followed him, part of D’Souza’s speech was spent slamming President Obama’s recent remarks about ISIS/ISIL.
