During yesterday’s edition of “The MC Files” program, host Christopher McDonald and guest Shari Wassell asserted that “it is the 50s and 60s all over again” in America, only today it is white conservative Christians who are the targets of relentless discrimination and prejudice.
McDonald was upset about Roger Stone, a close associate of President Trump’s who was arrested last week on one count of obstruction, one count of witness tampering, and five counts of providing false statements in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. McDonald declared that if Trump made “this kind of spectacle” in arresting Hillary Clinton or John Brennan or Barack Obama, “the left would go armageddon apoplectic crazy.”
Wassell agreed, linking the issue to the controversy over the confrontation that students from Covington Catholic High School had with a Native American activist during the March for Life earlier this month.
“What I’m reminded of right now, between the Covington High School Catholic young man and his friends in the red MAGA hats with their white skin and their Catholicism on display for everyone to see,” Wassell said. “Between that and Roger Stone, an associate of Trump’s who is white, it reminds me of all the things from the late 50’s/early 60’s, the way people were treated. The left is taking us back to the counter at Woolworth’s. I hate it. It’s despicable and it’s happening again.”
“You’re right,” McDonald agree. “It is the 50s and 60s all over again.”
