Michael Savage warned viewers that opposition to the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court was an indication of a violent communist revolution brewing in America.
In an interview uploaded to YouTube on Monday by the right-wing news outlet NewsMax TV, Savage joined the program to promote a new book he’s releasing and to comment on Kavanaugh’s contentious confirmation process. Savage, a far-right conspiracy theorist in his own right, attempted to convince his listeners during the confirmation process that Christine Blasey Ford, who testified that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her in high school, was a secret CIA asset. During his analysis of the Kavanaugh confirmation, Savage warned of an impending violent revolution in America that will be led by liberal activists who opposed Kavanaugh’s confirmation, something that Savage has been warning his listeners about for years despite the fact that nothing that he has predicted has ever come true.
“If we don’t stop the guillotine of hatred being dropped by the left, their own heads are going to be cut off next. The guillotine is very thirsty instrument. And as the French Revolution taught the world, after they killed all the counter-revolutionaries, they didn’t stop killing. Then, the revolutionaries turned on each other in a power struggle and this is what went on in Castro’s Cuba, Pol Pot’s Cambodia, Mao’s China, the Bolshevik Revolution, and what we’re seeing now in America is exactly again, in my opinion, to what went on in all these revolutions in the early days,” Savage said.
He added, “Kavanaugh was a symbol of everything they hate. And what is it that they hate, the left? Let’s check off the boxes together. He’s a male, check. He’s white, check. He’s heterosexual, count three. He’s married, count four. Oh wait, he’s also a Republican, count five. So unless the person is the opposite of that, the left will destroy them politically. They’ve gone insane.”
When a host asked Savage why Americans are so “easily duped into believing unbelievable things,” he answered that it was because the media in America is “controlled by the radical left.”
Savage is a personal friend of President Donald Trump and visited the Oval Office earlier this year.
