Paranoia-Rama: Obama's 'Demon Spirit,' 'Feminizing' Football And Hollywood's Gay Trickery

RWW’s Paranoia-Rama takes a look at five of the week’s most absurd conspiracy theories from the Right.

While the entertainment industry is slyly tricking women into becoming lesbians, President Obama is forcing Americans to engage in same-sex marriages as part of his Nazi plot against America.

5. ‘Girl-On Girl Movies’ Are Making Kids Gay

Pat Robertson is back with more words of wisdom about homosexuality, sharing his views yesterday on why some people, particularly young women, are gay.

According to Robertson, Hollywood’s penchant for “girl-on-girl movies” — along with sexual abuse — is to blame.

4. Obama’s Alien/Demon Pal

Jim Garrow has managed to bring several of his anti-Obama conspiracy theories together, including his claims that Obama believes he is the Mahdi of a branch of Shia Islam, communicates with aliens and is secretly gay .

Bathhouse Barry referring to himself as the "Voice in the Wilderness, like John the Baptist for Jesus". This was in reference to his belief that he will introduce the mahdi to the world (possibly an alien as in transdimensional being) aka demon spirit. You can't make this stuff up. Obama is doing far too much blow and weed. Someone needs to curtail his meetings with Reggie Love.

Sadly, Garrow has no new information on Obama’s plan to nuke America or attack us with Canadian troops.

3. Feminists ‘Chickifying’ The NFL

Who will speak up for the downtrodden, heterosexual male? Rush Limbaugh will, that’s who. After fretting about Michael Sam’s “assault” on heterosexuality, Limbaugh expressed his displeasure with those who are angry with the way the NFL handled the Ray Rice domestic violence scandal.

“Folks, this, none of this, this is crazy, we’re feminizing this game and it’s a man’s game and if we keep feminizing this game we’re going to ruin it, if we keep chickifying this game, we’re going to ruin it,” Limbaugh said, lashing out at the “feminized,” “politically correct” men who apparently dominate the NFL and sports media.

Limbaugh also linked the scandal to the Democratic Party (who of course are the real sexists), suggesting that NFL players are probably Democrats who abuse their wives: “‘War on women,’ these guys beating up their wives, are they all Republicans or are they voting Democrat [sic] you think? Who is really conducting the war on women here? Who is actually doing it? Who has brought all this about? All this supposed abuse on women takes place in the NFL, who are these guys, think they’re voting Republican? I kind of doubt it. I did just ask that, are these guys who are engaging in domestic violence, which is a war on women, are they voting Republican or are they voting Democrat? I think the odds are they’re voting Democrat, aren’t they?”

Media Matters captured the audio:

2. Obama Is Worse Than Hitler

Did you know that people are being forced against their will to participate in abortions and same-sex marriages?

At least, that’s the story according to Liberty Counsel head Mat Staver and his “Faith & Freedom” radio show co-host Matt Barber.

Staver, who once warned of “forced homosexuality” under Obama, said Christians have never faced such a horrible or more persecuted time in American history than they do under Obama’s presidency, and things have gotten so bad that the U.S. government is more punitive and cruel than Nazi Germany.

1. Dirty Democrats Helping ‘Uneducated’ People Vote

Unable to back up claims about the hazards of voter fraud with any actual proof, Republican officials now just seem to be giving away what their “election integrity” campaigns are all about.

Georgia state Sen. Frank Millar, for example, is upset that a government officials plan to open a polling location at a mall “dominated by African American shoppers” and “near several large African American mega churches,” and has pledged to stop the plan from going forward.

Millar explained that he isn’t upset that black people are voting, just that uneducated people (wink, wink) are voting: “I would prefer more educated voters than a greater increase in the number of voters. If you don't believe this is an efort [sic] to maximize Democratic votes pure and simple, then you are not a realist. This is a partisan stunt and I hope it can be stopped.”

Not to be outdone, Georgia’s top elections official, Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp, expressed dismay that “the Democrats are working hard, and all these stories about them, you know, registering all these minority voters that are out there.” Kemp cited ACORN, a group which no longer exists, to substantiate his worries about voter fraud.

Pat Robertson: 'Girl-On-Girl Movies' Make Young People Think They're Gay

Today on “The 700 Club,” a viewer asked host Pat Robertson how she should handle the news that her 21-year-old daughter is in a same-sex relationship. In response, Robertson gladly offered up some of his patented bad advice for the parents of LGBT kids.

“She needs somebody to help her get her identity straight,” he said. “She may not be right in this, she may have thought she has a crush on some older girl along the way and she’s actually homosexual when she’s not, I don’t know. Why is she that way? Was she molested when she was younger?”

After co-host Terry Meeuwsen lamented that people are “telling kids to explore, it’s crazy,” Robertson criticized “the girl-on-girl movies” where “they’re getting straight actresses to play lesbians and straight men to play homosexuals and if you say anything against homosexuality you are just hooted out of court.”

“You need to love your daughter and give her a chance to work this out because if she gets deeper and deeper in it, sooner or later she is going to be disillusioned and say, ‘this is wrong, I want to come out of it,’” he added.

Pat Robertson: '700 Club' Rerun Saved A Woman From Death

Pat Robertson informed viewers today that he once saved a woman “in Africa” who was “watching a tape of ‘The 700 Club’” just as a “group of thugs came into her house and threatened to kill her.”

“While the program I was on the air, I began praying, this is a tape mind you, and the power of God fell so strong that those thugs were literally paralyzed and they began to run from the house they were so terrified because of the power of God on that program, on that tape,” he said.

Robertson was responding to a viewer who asked if his “words of knowledge” about viewers, which he says can heal members of his audience, can work for people watching reruns of the show.

Pat Robertson Claims Obama Doesn't Care About Ebola Because He 'Lives In A Bubble Of Happiness'

On today’s broadcast of “The 700 Club,” televangelist Pat Robertson claimed that President Obama is unconcerned about the outbreak of Ebola in western Africa, calling Obama a failed leader who “lives in a bubble of happiness.”

“The world is blowing apart because there is no leadership from the leading nation on Earth, we’re not leading and we have to lead. And in this Obama thing — excuse me, this Ebola thing — we can take care of that, it’s not that big a deal, it’s manageable, but if we don’t manage it quickly it’s going to spread and then it will be a worldwide disaster,” he said.

Pat Robertson Uses Food Study To Criticize Obama's 'Flabby And Weak' Foreign Policy

While we are used to conservative commentators attacking First Lady Michelle Obama for daring to encourage healthy living and eating habits among children, “700 Club” host Pat Robertson today pointed to a 12-year study on Americans’ food choices to attack President Obama’s “weak” foreign policy.

“We are flabby and weak at home and we are flabby and weak in our foreign policy. It’s time this great nation throw off its shackles and begin to stand up in the glow that God has given it,” Robertson said. “Those who founded this nation viewed it as a place of hope, now it’s a place known for pornography, known for corruption, now known for overeating and known for a very, very weak foreign policy.”

Pat Robertson Is Strangely Excited About The Prospect Of ISIS Taking Over The Middle East

On today's "700 Club," Pat Robertson seemed oddly excited about the prospect of the radical Islamic group ISIS taking control over Iraq and Syria because it would be signal that the End Times are near.

Robertson cited Isaiah 19, which states that, in the End Times, Egypt and Assyria will join together and turn to the Lord, along with Israel and they will be "a blessing on the earth":

23 In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. 24 In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. 25 The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

The nation of Assyria no longer exists, but Robertson said that with ISIS taking over large portions of Iraq and Syria, it could soon be brought back to together, which means that there is an opportunity for the international community to gather together all of the Kurds in Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Turkey to serve as "the lynchpin" that could bind all of these nations together.

"Call it Assyria," Robertson suggested, "and let them encompass current Syria and current Iraq and we would be fulfilling Bible prophecy."

"It might well happen," he said. "Was that prophetic or I'm just playing games?"

Pat Robertson: Robin Williams Died By Suicide Because 'Heathens' Are Idol Worshipers

Pat Robertson explained today that Robin Williams died by suicide because he didn’t know God and was destined for ruin.

“You see these very popular people in the media who commit suicide like Robin Williams recently and you say, what is the deal with him? What happened?” Robertson said on “The 700 Club.” “You see, the god of the heathen are idols and everything that you seek in life can ruin you unless that somebody is God himself.”

“You won’t want to commit suicide after you have come to him,” he concluded.

Pat Robertson Baffled That The Stock Market Is Going Up Under Obama

The S&P 500 and Dow Jones posted record gains yesterday, utterly astonishing televangelist Pat Robertson, who found himself unable to explain how the stock market is going up under President Obama.

On “The 700 Club” this morning, Robertson argued both that such positive economic news comes in spite of Obama’s purportedly disastrous leadership — because “Obama and his crew are doing everything they can to cripple our industry” — and that gains on Wall Street are the result of quantitative easing and shouldn’t actually be believed.

“Good grief, I don’t see how it’s possible,” he said.

Pat Robertson: Possibly Gay Teenager Will Be Straight If He Has A Man In His Life

On today’s edition of the “700 Club,” a viewer told Robertson that her 13-year-old step-son, who “lives with his mother most of the time,” has “crushes on boys” and wanted the televangelist’s help.

Repeating the myth that homosexuality is the result of a lack of parental bonding, Robertson said “his attraction is now toward other men because he’s raised by a woman.”

“I would get him male companions, I’d get him some man to help him, some mentor, someone who cares about young men,” Robertson advised. “He is being raised by a single woman and that is skewing his orientation.”

Pat Robertson Explains Ferguson Incident: Maybe Michael Brown Was On PCP?

Today on “The 700 Club,” televangelist Pat Robertson weighed in on the ongoing situation in Ferguson, Missouri, insisting that Michael Brown, the unarmed black teenager who was shot and killed by a police officer, was a menacing “giant” who assaulted a “little cop” and may have been using PCP.

Naturally, Robertson then went on to criticize other commentators for “grandstanding” and jumping too quickly to conclusions.

Pat Robertson Calls For Revolution Against Obama After Bad Visit To The Doctor's Office

“The 700 Club” aired a report today on how the push for electronic medical records is harming small medical practices, which reminded host Pat Robertson about a trip to the doctor’s office that took too long because the nurse kept asking him questions about his medical history and what drugs he takes.

Of course, this angered Robertson mightily and led him to call for a revolution against President Obama.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we need a revolution to stop these so-called progressives from destroying this country anymore, but they are getting pretty close to the tipping point, it is not a pleasant scenario,” he said. “I didn’t vote for him, maybe you didn’t vote for him, but the American people voted him into office twice and this is the result, we reap what we sow.”

Pat Robertson: Healing Prayers Sometimes Don't Work Because People 'Enjoy Their Sickness'

On “The 700 Club” today, Pat Robertson fielded a question from a viewer who wondered why her husband hasn’t been healed from a medical condition despite intense prayer.

Robertson responded that the woman’s husband probably isn’t a faithful Christian and may actually want to be sick: “There are some people, you know, they enjoy their sickness. That is terrible to say but that is their excuse not to compete, ‘well I’d love to compete but my lumbago’s got me so I can’t do it.”

Pat Robertson Fears 'Little Kids Are Getting High' Because Of Marijuana Legalization

CBN’s “The 700 Club” today featured a sharply negative story on Colorado’s marijuana reforms, and host Pat Robertson warned that the legalization of marijuana is harming children.

While the televangelist previously said that “we should treat marijuana the way we treat beverage alcohol,” now Robertson insists he never supported legalizing marijuana and only favors decriminalization.

“The little kids are getting high,” Robertson said. “Do you want your little 8th grader to be stoned when he goes to school? Well, welcome to Colorado, where pot is legal.”

He said that Colorado’s law is encouraging “the full-scale spread of this stuff, and it is not good for people’s health, it is destroying their minds and it is destroying their lungs and the addiction is pretty heavy, and it is also a gateway drug into the heavier stuff like cocaine, crack and whatever else is out there, heroine, they’re sniffing glue. These kids find more ways to destroy themselves.”

Robertson also reassured co-host Wendy Griffith that “I’ve never tried it and I hope I don’t have to.”

Pat Robertson: Prosecuting Bob McDonnell For Corruption Is 'Destroying This Nation'

Is Bob McDonnell the latest Religious Right “victim” of President Obama’s purported persecution of conservatives?

Today on “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson and Jay Sekulow did their best to paint the former Republican governor of Virginia as the victim of a “political prosecution,” decrying his corruption trial as a “political witch hunt” spearheaded by Attorney General Eric Holder.

Robertson alleged, without any evidence, that Holder wanted to stop Mitt Romney from tapping McDonnell as his running mate in 2012 and is “behind all of this stuff.”

“It is just one more reason why this administration is just destroying this nation and destroying its own credibility.”

Both Robertson and Sekulow are close to McDonnell, who attended the televangelist’s CBN University (now Regent University), where he wrote his controversial thesis. McDonnell was a member of Regent University’s board of trustees and Robertson donated to his campaign.

Pat Robertson: 'Are We Going To Have A Revolution? We Ought To Have Something'

Fox News commentator Todd Starnes appeared on “The 700 Club” today where he went through his usual talking points about how the Obama administration is waging “war” on conservative Christians while giving special treatment to Muslims.

His comments led Robertson to wonder, “Are we going to have a revolution? We ought to have something.”

Paul Vallely Joins Pat Robertson To Call For Obama's Removal From Office

Paul Vallely, the conservative activist and former general who said he would lead a coup against President Obama, appeared today on “The 700 Club” to once again call for Obama’s removal through impeachment or other means.

While speaking with host Pat Robertson, Vallely called for “divine intervention” and demanded that Congress oust Obama and his national security team for pushing America down the road of “national suicide.”

“All of them need to go, they need to be replaced immediately,” he said. “Unfortunately in our Constitution we can only do impeachment, but we are generating what we call a ‘no confidence resolution’ in Congress this week that hopefully will lead to impeachment because we cannot let this regime in Washington continue to take us over the cliff.”

Robertson, who has prayed for God to remove Obama from office, told Vallely at the end of the interview that he “couldn’t agree with you more.”

Pat Robertson: Obama Was 'Trained In Indonesia With The Muslim Point Of View'

On “The 700 Club” today, Pat Robertson called “Mohammad and his followers” the Antichrist and claimed that President Obama sympathizes with Islam and was “trained in Indonesia with the Muslim point of view.”

Robertson has previously speculated that Obama is a “crypto-Muslim” who’s “linked up with the [Muslim] Brotherhood,” and called Islam “demonic” and “the Antichrist.”

Pat Robertson Is A Fan Of Bobby Jindal: 'Wouldn't It Be Great If We Had A President Who Was A Former Hindu From India?'

“The 700 Club” ran a puff piece on Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal today, and color Pat Robertson impressed.

“Some interesting politicians are out there and they’ve got a couple who have Indian backgrounds,” an astonished Robertson said to introduce the segment.

After running an interview in which Jindal played well to the Christian Broadcasting Network audience by saying that the “greatest threat to America comes from within” including an “assault on religious liberty," Robertson said, “what an amazing man.”

“He has gone far and will go farther, no question about it. Wouldn’t it be great if we had a president who was a former Hindu from India? What a great story.”

Jindal was born in Louisiana.

In any case, Jindal might want to be wary of winning Robertson's praises, as the televangelist previously claimed that God told him Mitt Romney would win the 2012 presidential election.

Pat Robertson Warns Gays Threaten Christians: 'Have Open Sex With Anybody Or Else You Leave'

Pat Robertson said today that the gay community is preparing to drive Christians out of business and turn America into a “perverse” place that is ripe for “destruction.”

Responding to a 700 Club report about a Colorado baker who refused service to a gay couple, Robertson warned that “what our civil rights commissions and others are saying is, ‘We want to endanger our society and set it up for the judgment of God and if you Christians don’t like it then get out.”

He said that just like those in Sodom who demanded that people have sex with them, gay people today are threatening Christians: “What the gays are saying is, ‘we’re going to drive you out of town, either you conform to us or you must leave.’ That’s the message that’s being put out, it’s the same message that there was in Sodom and Gomorrah: You’re either going to have sex with angels or have open sex with anybody or else you leave, or you go out of business. That’s America, you don’t want that, do you?”
