Rick Joyner has traditionally been a rather low-key speaker, the sort who does not get particularly worked-up or animated about anything. But that was certainly not the case in this recent sermon he delivered in response to the Boston Marathon bombing where he declared that the federal government should have been able to prevent the attack but were hampered due to infiltration by Muslim Brotherhood operatives into high-ranking official positions.
The failure to stop the attack, Joyner said, means that the blood of the victims is on the hands of the Department of Homeland Security and was... MORE >

Mat Staver claims that allowing three parents to be listed on a birth certificate is outrageous and means that "polygamy ... has occurred in Florida." Of course, these three people didn't get married to one another, so Staver is lying. If Phyllis Schlafly is going to convince people that early voting is bad, she needs to come up with better reasons because these are laughable. It has gotten to the point where Bryan Fischer's bigotry is so predictably redundant, that it is barely even worth mentioning any more. It looks like Rick Scarborough's Vision... MORE >

Yesterday, Rick Joyner dedicated his "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program to discussing the re-election of President Obama ... which he is pretty sure was stolen.
Citing a 2006 paper from Princeton University revealing that electronic voting machines could be easily hacked, Joyner declared that he has heard lots of anecdotal evidence about voting machines changing votes cast for Mitt Romney and giving them to Barack Obama. On top of that, Joyner is sure that the implementation of Voter ID laws in Indiana and North Carolina was instrumental in swinging those... MORE >

Last weekend, Rick Joyner delivered an election sermon that is so "vitally important" that he felt compelled to post it on YouTube so that everyone can watch as he tells his congregation that they cannot vote for President Obama because America is on the verge of heading into "the worst, most terrible form of tyranny there has ever been seen on this earth" and that "an Obama re-election could be the end of our republic as we know it."
After proclaiming that Obama was engaging in tyranny and was either grossly incompetent or treasonous, Joyner declared... MORE >

As RWW has noted, most Religious Right leaders have cast aside whatever reservations they once had about voting for Mitt Romney, whose Mormonism many do not consider a Christian faith. Sure, they’d rather have a conservative evangelical or right-wing Catholic as the GOP nominee, but they lost that chance in the primaries. And they are so eager to defeat Barack Obama, and avoid the divine wrath that his re-election would provoke, that they have circled the wagons around Romney.
In September, more than two dozen Religious Right leaders wrote a letter dismissing differences... MORE >

Charisma Magazine has posted Rick Joyner’s weekly update where he claims that anti-Christian persecution in America has greatly accelerated under the Obama administration. Of course Joyner doesn’t have any real evidence to make such a specious claim besides arguing that the Shepard-Byrd hate crimes law “specifically targets Christians,” still insisting that the government is just itching to use the 2009 law to arrest pastors, ban the Bible and censor speech. He also warned that “serious persecution against Christians in America “will come from the U.S.... MORE >

Rick Joyner dedicated yesterday's "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events" program to, once again, warning his viewers about "Islam and Shariah Law and its current threat toward America." Joyner commented on how he could not understand how any person who knows anything about Sharia could be anything other than vehemently opposed to it, especially women ... prompting him to declare that it is absolutely "mind-boggling" that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been "advocating using Sharia and honoring Sharia law," leading him to conclude that... Religious Right leaders love to proclaim that they are nonpartisan. Rick Scarborough insists he is not a Republican or a Democrat, but a Christocrat. Samuel Rodriguez repeatedly claims that he is not pushing the agenda of the Elephant or the Donkey, but the Lamb. And yet they are actively involved in attempts to convince Christians that loyalty to biblical values requires a vote against Barack Obama and for Mitt Romney, even though many evangelicals do not consider Mormons to be Christians. The latest example comes via Rick Joyner’s dominionist Oak Initiative. Joyner sent... MORE >
