Right-wing pastor Rick Joyner posted a video on his Facebook page today in which he asserted that the American media is the “most dangerous terrorist organization in the world” and should be charged with insurrection for lying about President Trump.
“The worst, most dangerous terrorist organization [is] the media,” Joyner said, paraphrasing a quote from the late” prophet” Bob Jones. “The way the devil is using the media; yeah, I do believe the devil is the accuser of the brethren, [that’s] one of the names of the devil and that’s one of the things that is most commonly manifested through the media.”
Joyner said that the media is doing all that it can to “cause divisions” by making up lies about Trump, whom they will never defeat because he has “the favor of God” on him.
“They keep thinking they’re going to have the silver bullet that’s going to take Donald Trump out,” he said. “It isn’t going to happen and everyone who tries that, watch them get done in … They don’t understand the grace of God, they don’t understand the favor of God.”
“The media terrorists are trying to silence debate and what they’re doing, they’re going to be held accountable for,” Joyner added, “they’re going to be responsible for all the damage that is done, all the injuries that are done and the deaths that have happened because of them fomenting this conflict among Americans. Wait and see if they’re not held responsible.”
Joyner said that while he supports the freedom of speech and freedom of the press, “there are some things that are being said that should be defined as insurrection and I believe they will be held accountable.”
