Self-proclaimed “political occultist expert” Cory Daniel appeared on Chris McDonald’s “The MC Files” program on Wednesday night, where the two men sought to explain that the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, was part of a some sort of deep state plot to undermine President Trump ahead of the 2018 midterm elections in order to derail his efforts to “drain the swamp.”
“Who was Marjory Stoneman Douglas?” asked Daniel. “Go to the Wikipedia page and you’ll see the very first sentence: ‘Marjory Stoneman Douglas (April 7, 1890 – May 14, 1998) was an American journalist, author, women’s suffrage advocate, and conservationist known for her staunch defense of the Everglades against efforts to drain them and reclaim land for development.’ She prevented the draining of the swamp.”
“You can’t make this stuff up, folks,” replied McDonald. “This was a slap at Trump. Think about the midterms, this was six months, seven months before the midterms and it shook the country because David Hogg who was the character, the young punk who came out of it—that’s what he is, is a punk—he emerged as a big tool of the left to hammer the gun control debate in this country and his biggest tirades were against the president … It seems to me that’s why all this was done against a high school—and again, if you don’t know what Marjory Stoneman Douglas means and that she was an environmentalist that was preventing the draining of the swamp, then none of that makes sense. But it makes total sense to me.”
