Glenn Beck dedicated much of his television program last night to interviewing Paul Blair, a radical right-wing activist who is now seeking a seat in the Oklahoma state Senate. Blair, who was reportedly responsible for the recent legislation that sought to make it a felony to perform an abortion in the state, which was vetoed by Gov. Mary Fallin, echoed right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton when he claimed that the Bible provides guidance on how to establish elections and a constitutional republic. "From a biblical perspective," he said, "Exodus 18 gives us the criteria by... MORE >

We just realized that right-wing pastor Paul Blair is running for a seat in the Oklahoma legislature. Rep. Renee Ellmers explains why she endorsed Donald Trump: "Women are forward thinking and they don't care what's happened in the past." The Alabama State Republican Executive Committee passed a resolution in support of Roy Moore that calls on "the Court of the Judiciary to drop the politically motivated charges against" him. Phyllis Schlafly says that "our society was built on a foundation of the traditional family unit with men and women... MORE >

In a press release today, the conservative legal group Liberty Counsel took credit for a bill that passed the Oklahoma legislature yesterday that would make it a felony to perform abortions in the state. The group also claims that Paul Blair, a far-right Oklahoma pastor and activist who was embraced by Ted Cruz’s failed presidential campaign, “initiated” the legislation. “SB 1552 was authored by Sen. Nathan Dahm,” the press release says. “Yet this legislation was initiated by a local pastor, Paul Blair, with the support and guidance of Liberty Counsel... MORE >

Anti-gay pastor Paul Blair, a former professional football player, is among the far-right activists whose endorsements have been celebrated by the Ted Cruz campaign. At last weekend’s The Awakening conference, Blair promoted his efforts to get states to defy the Supreme Court’s marriage equality decision. Resistance to marriage equality and other “unjust” laws was a major theme at the conference and Blair was part of an afternoon panel devoted to the topic, along with Rick Scarborough, E.W. Jackson and Keith Fournier. Blair and others praised the Alabama Supreme Court... MORE >

Ted Cruz is already boasting of the endorsements he has received from activists who have linked homosexuality to Ebola, violence, terrorism and train derailments, so it came as no surprise to see the Texas senator’s presidential campaign MORE >
Rick Wiles and Paul Blair: Government Will Use EMP Attacks And Jade Helm 15 To Silence Conservative Christians
SUBMITTED BY: Mikayla Bean, Monday 07/06/2015, 12:13pm
Far-right pastor Paul Blair joined Rick Wiles on his “Trunews” radio program last Wednesday to discuss the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down gay marriage bans, the debate over which Wiles said will inevitably “come to blows” as the government launches EMP attacks and the Jade Helm 15 military exercise against states that resist the ruling. “The only way to stop force is with force,” Blair declared. The liberty to discriminate against gays is “not going to come easy,” he said, warning that “we are going to have a fist fight on... MORE >

The American Pastors Network, a Religious Right group hoping to organize networks of politically active evangelical pastors in all 50 states, met with Pennsylvania pastors at Lancaster Bible College on Thursday. The day-long event featured several national speakers like “historian” David Barton, activist Paul Blair of Reclaiming America for Christ, and right-wing broadcaster Sandy Rios, who as Kyle reported yesterday, urged participants to prepare for martyrdom. The threat of anti-Christian persecution was a frequent theme at the U-Turn conference, which took its name and... MORE >
Five Years After Passage Of Hate Crimes Law, Religious Right's Dire Predictions Still Haven't Come True
SUBMITTED BY: Brian Tashman, Wednesday 10/22/2014, 1:00pm
Here we go again. If Religious Right activists are to be believed, any day now the government will throw pastors in jail, have people “fined $500 a day” for reading the Bible and “start rolling out the boxcars to start hauling off Christians.” These are among the claims that were made this year by conservative politicians and movement leaders, who warn that America is now witnessing a “war on religion.” Similar dire warnings about the federal hate crimes law that was passed five years ago today have proven to be utterly false. The apocalyptic... MORE >
