A Friday morning email from a joint Trump campaign-RNC fundraising committee suggests that stoking fears about socialism is going to be a major Team Trump strategy for 2020—and that the campaign will display all the disregard for truth for which the president himself is known.
The email, which starts with one more repetition of the false claim that Trump was “completely EXONERATED” by Robert Mueller, contains the word “socialist” or “socialism” in nearly every sentence. And it claims, wrongly of course, that the “Democrat Party” has “embraced SOCIALISM as their official platform.”
The fundraising email is one more bit of evidence that the GOP is gearing up to paint 2020 Democrats, no matter how moderate, as the faces of socialism, and seeking electoral rewards from tapping into the remnants of the “Red Scare” in America. The tactic is a decades-old hit from the GOP songbook.

We just watched Democrats EMBARRASS themselves at the Mueller hearing. Even after I was completely EXONERATED, they still can’t give up the WITCH HUNT.
This is the Democrat Party that has embraced SOCIALISM as their official platform and completely abandoned all sanity.
Democrats have made it clear that radical big government socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar are calling the shots now. That’s why their party continues to prioritize illegal immigrants over the American people.
It’s up to YOU to send a message that America will NEVER be a socialist country. I need you on my team to ensure victory and help us Keep America Great.
