‘I Think It’s Wrong’: Glenn Beck Doesn’t Even Believe His Own Conspiracy Theory About The Clinton Email Controversy

On his radio program today, Glenn Beck laid out a new theory about the email controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton that he admitted he had just made up 20 minutes earlier and was probably entirely wrong … but which he proceeded to float nonetheless.

Acknowledging that he was making this up off the top of his head, Beck asserted that the Obama administration has tried to cover up every scandal it has been involved in except for this one involving Clinton, which he speculated was because she is not radical enough for President Obama and so he’s trying to destroy her presidential campaign in order to benefit Bernie Sanders.

“I think it’s wrong,” Beck said of his own theory even as he unveiled it, declaring that Clinton, unlike Obama, is not a full-blown radical Marxist and so the president is trying to sink her campaign.

“I think you could make a case, a bad case,” Beck said, “that he’s looking for an ideologue to replace him. He’s done the work of bringing this country to the brink of Marxism and he’s not going to have it flushed away by Hillary Clinton.”

As such, Beck said, Obama may be trying to tank Clinton’s chances so that the Democrats will nominate Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren and finish the job.

Beck admitted that his theory was entirely implausible and that he has been wrong about everything for the last year, but said he was just “thinking out loud” because “anything is possible.”
