Schlafly Group Campaigns For Impeachment Of ‘Deep State Crook’ Rod Rosenstein

The late Phyllis Schlafly was a Trump booster; her name is being invoked against the investigation Trump labels a "witch hunt."

Phyllis Schlafly’s American Eagles has asked supporters to sign an “authorization for impeachment” of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who oversees Robert Mueller’s investigation. The “authorization” was sent with an undated letter announcing a “National Campaign to Impeach Rod Rosenstein.”

Rosenstein has been repeatedly attacked by President Trump and his supporters in Congress, notably House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes, whose efforts have left him wallowing in campaign cash from Trump supporters.

“Congressman Devin Nunes is moving to impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for his role in the coup against President Donald Trump,” declares the letter from Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly’s American Eagles. Martin’s group emerged from the ugly family feud for control of Schlafly’s political legacy that erupted during her final days and continued after her death.

Martin says Nunes needs support for his efforts to “remove Rosenstein from power and stop this illegal witch hunt against our pro-life president.”

“Rosenstein is a crook,” writes Martin. “He’s corrupt. And he’s the key player in this effort to oust President Trump.”

It’s virtually impossible to overstate the frenzied tone of Martin’s letter, which says Rosenstein “should be in jail,” but first “Nunes and the American people must remove this man from office.”

Here are some other excerpts:

President Trump is under siege from Rosenstein, his deep state goons in government, and from the leftist media.

Donald Trump can fire Rosenstein, but that would set off a storm of protest. Some ‘never Trump’ members of Congress would then have the excuse they’ve been waiting or to impeach our President.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is all part of Rosenstein’s evil plan.

And that’s why the American people and patriotic Republicans in Congress must get rid of this vile and corrupt man ourselves.

Remember, Rosenstein is a deep, deep state crook.

Schlafly, who said she wanted to see “railroad cars full of illegals going south,” was one of Donald Trump’s earliest supporters among the leadership of the conservative movement. She told Alex Jones during the Republican primary that Trump smelled like Ronald Reagan, and her final book was called “The Conservative Case for Trump.” In his letter, Martin invokes her name, saying, “Phyllis warned candidate Trump that the D.C. political establishment would try to destroy him.”

Martin, who said at a 2016 Tea Party rally, “You’re not racist if you don’t like Mexicans,” has published an adult coloring book based on Trump tweets, which he said earlier this month has a serious point—that “Trump is about love,” and that “the true meaning of covfefe…is love.”
