Paul Begley is a right-wing pastor and rabid conspiracy theorist who insists that First Lady Melania Trump ordered the White House to be “completely exorcised” before moving in, that Barack Obama is leading an Illuminati plot to assassinate President Trump, that Hillary Clinton intended to hand America over to the Illuminati in preparation for the rise of the Antichrist, and that Kate Spade, Anthony Boudain and Larry Kudlow were all possibly targets of “Illuminati assassins.”
Corey Stewart, the Confederacy-loving politician who won the Republican primary earlier this week and will now challenge Sen. Tim Kaine in November, appeared on Begley’s webcast several weeks ago, where he stated that he makes it his mission to say something “politically incorrect” every day simply to offend liberals.
Fresh off his primary victory, Stewart appeared on Begley’s webcast again today during which he secured Begley’s endorsement after declaring that he is running for the Senate in order to ensure that America will do “what God wants us to do.”
The interview kicked off with a discussion of the segment Stewart did last night with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, during which he was grilled about the support he has received from, and his ties to, numerous anti-Semites and white nationalists.
Stewart insisted that he cannot be held responsible for the views and actions of people who might support him, pointing out that the 2016 Clinton/Kaine campaign received support from the likes of Harvey Weinstein.
“Harvey Weinstein gave [Clinton/Kaine] a bunch of money and he’s guilty of sexual assault, so I guess Tim Kaine is too under their logic,” Stewart said.
Begley praised Stewart’s performance on CNN, asking him whether it was his strong Christian faith that gives him so much courage.
“Yes it is,” Stewart responded. “I’ve known for a long time that this is going to be a big battle and I’ve known for a long time that the left is trying to take down this country. And God wants us to be strong and he’s got a mission for us, and that is to take our country back, to bring back our values, to bring back prosperous communities. And I think that President Trump is instrumental in this and that there is a mission for the rest of us and that is to support him. We’re in the middle of a big battle for the control and the faith of our country and we’ve got to hang tough, if not for ourselves then for what God wants us to do.”
Near the end of the interview, Begley proudly told Stewart that he was personally endorsing him in his bid for the Senate.
