Glenn Beck In Fantasy Land: If Petraeus is 'Truly Redeemed,' He'll Admit He Lied to Congress About Benghazi
From the very beginning, Glenn Beck has been convinced that the Obama administration has systemically lied about the attack in Benghazi, Libya as part of an attempt to cover up the fact that it has been secretly arming Syrian rebels for the benefit of al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood in order to foment global revolution. And the sudden resignation of CIA Director David Petraeus has become further proof that the White House is engaged in a conspiracy to discredit the military, the last remaining beacon of integrity in the nation.
Since nothing about Beck's conspiracy is in any way rooted in reality, it did not come as much of a surprise when he spun an elaborate fantasy scenario on his radio program today in which the Petraeus finally realizes that he has bottomed out and therefore decides to come clean by going before Congress today to admit that he was forced to lie about the attack in Libya in order to protect the White House, as Beck declared that "if he is truly redeemed, he will do that today" since "a man with real honor will redeem himself" by being willing to go to prison for telling the truth:
