Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation warned members that President Obama is making the military far weaker through his controversial use of drones. While the use of drones has sparked controversy, they were essential in the killing of Col. Muammar Gaddafi and Al Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki, and in monitoring Osama bin Laden.
Phillips explains that Obama’s increased use of drones is a result of liberals’ aversion to military action. “Drones are great for a cowardly President,” Phillips writes, “He can order the drone to hit a target and if there is success, he can... MORE >

After blaming daycare and public schools for ruining society, Jeffrey Kuhner of the Edmund Burke Institute now has another figure to blame for America’s ills: Martin Luther King, Jr. Reflecting on the recent dedication of the King memorial in Washington, D.C., Kuhner writes in The Washington Times that King’s support for progressive causes was responsible for keeping African Americans bound to the “shackles of affirmative action and the welfare state.” Such claims may be news to Glenn Beck, who claimed that he was going to “reclaim the civil rights movement... Self-proclaimed prophet Cindy Jacobs and her husband Mike recently featured a series on their show God Knows, on how natural disasters are caused by sins which ‘curse’ the land. Jacobs famously claimed earlier this year that freak bird deaths in Arkansas were a result of the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, calling it a sign that “nature itself will begin to talk to us” when the nation makes a “decision that is contrary to the principles of God.” Cindy Jacobs said that abortion “hurts the nation” because as Mike explained, it brings... As we learn more about the right-wing terrorist in Norway whose deadly attacks left over ninety people dead, the anti-Muslim blog FrontPageMag led by conservative activist David Horowitz is arguing that the real victims of the attacks are…anti-Muslim bloggers.
Anders Behring Breivik routinely frequented popular anti-Muslim blogs and cited American and European anti-Muslim figures in his “manifesto” against progressives, minorities and “cultural Marxism.”
Mark Tapson of FrontPageMag claims that Breivik’s actions did great damage to the cause of “... MORE >

On Wednesday, the Associated Press reported that a group of openly gay soccer fans requested that the European Championships soccer matches set up separate seating for gay and lesbian attendees out of fear of anti-gay violence in Poland. Catholic League president Bill Donohue unsurprisingly took offense to the way the reporter cited “the teachings” of the Catholic Church as a reason for anti-gay views that are commonplace in Poland, and derided the “gay-crazy and anti-Catholic” media for pointing out the church’s attitude towards gays. “If being opposed to... Until last year, Scott Lively was perhaps best known as the vehemently anti-gay activist most responsible for the spreading, via his book "The Pink Swastika," the right-wing claim that Adolf Hitler and those who ran his Nazi apparatus were all gay.
That legacy has been overshadowed a bit recently, thanks to Lively's involvement in Uganda and its infamous "kill the gays" bill. Lively insists that he does not support the legislation's death penalty provision, but has called the effort to criminalize homosexuality "a step in the right direction."
