Self-Proclaimed Prophet: God Using Donald Trump To 'Expose Darkness And Perversion'

Jeremiah Johnson, “a gifted teacher, book author, and prophetic minister,” writes this week in Charisma magazine’s “Prophetic Insight” blog that God is using Donald Trump to speak the truth to American public.

In a post first flagged by Warren Throckmorton, Johnson likened Trump to King Cyrus, who freed Jews from captivity in Babylon, saying that the GOP presidential candidate, like Cyrus, is a spokesman for God.

And Johnson knows this for a fact because God told him so: “I was in a time of prayer several weeks ago when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, ‘Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people…. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before.’”

“Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election,” God added, reportedly.

In His great wisdom throughout the course of human history, God has chosen not only to fulfill His plans and purposes through men and women who have yielded to the sound of His voice, but He has also chosen to accomplish His will through men and women who have ignored and rebelled against Him. One such man was King Cyrus mentioned in Isaiah 45.

Isaiah prophesied of Cyrus and speaks as a mouthpiece of the Lord when he declared, "I have even called you by your name [Cyrus]; I have named you, though you have not known Me. I am the Lord and there is no other; there is no God besides Me.

I strengthen you, though you have not known Me, so that they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other" (Is. 45:4-6).

What a powerful and profound prophetic declaration to a man who did not know or serve the Lord! Could God not use the wicked and ungodly to bring about His plans and purposes thousands of years ago and can He not still do the same thing again, especially in the midst of the crisis that we find America in today?

I was in a time of prayer several weeks ago when God began to speak to me concerning the destiny of Donald Trump in America. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, "Trump shall become My trumpet to the American people, for he possesses qualities that are even hard to find in My people these days. Trump does not fear man nor will he allow deception and lies to go unnoticed. I am going to use him to expose darkness and perversion in America like never before, but you must understand that he is like a bull in a china closet. Many will want to throw him away because he will disturb their sense of peace and tranquility, but you must listen through the bantering to discover the truth that I will speak through him. I will use the wealth that I have given him to expose and launch investigations searching for the truth. Just as I raised up Cyrus to fulfill My purposes and plans, so have I raised up Trump to fulfill my purposes and plans prior to the 2016 election. You must listen to the trumpet very closely for he will sound the alarm and many will be blessed because of his compassion and mercy. Though many see the outward pride and arrogance, I have given him the tender heart of a father that wants to lend a helping hand to the poor and the needy, to the foreigner and the stranger."

Drudge Report Falls For Fake Story About 'Antichrist' Pope Merging Islam And Christianity

Yesterday, the Drudge Report ran the following headline: “Pope Francis Antichrist? Stand on Islam, capitalism, New World Order fuel chatter….”

Matt Drudge linked to a post on the matter by Jennifer LeClaire, the Charisma news editor who issues “prophetic” warnings about how gays are possessed by demons and will work with Satan to ban straight marriage.

LeClaire cited a report about the Pope trying to merge Islam and Christianity from a site, washingtonpost.com.co — not the Washington Post’s actual website — that she admits seems untrustworthy:

Protestant feathers really got ruffled when the washingtonpost.com.co and others falsely reported that Francis said the Quran and Holy Bible are the same:

"Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Jehovah, Allah. These are all names employed to describe an entity that is distinctly the same across the world. For centuries, blood has been needlessly shed because of the desire to segregate our faiths. This, however, should be the very concept which unites us as people, as nations, and as a world bound by faith. Together, we can bring about an unprecedented age of peace, all we need to achieve such a state is respect each others beliefs, for we are all children of God regardless of the name we choose to address him by. We can accomplish miraculous things in the world by merging our faiths, and the time for such a movement is now. No longer shall we slaughter our neighbors over differences in reference to their God."

Although it seems unlikely that the pope actually said that (I could not independently confirm it from mainstream media sources, only Internet rags that tend to publish misleading information) the fact that so many Christians took it as truth without a second blink is telling. He's said and done enough other shocking things to make this statement believable in the ears of many believers.

Could Francis be the final pope before Christ's return? Could he be the Antichrist? Is he the False Prophet? The chatter continues.

And no, Francis did not make the remarks, as that story comes from the National Report, which like washingtonpost.com.co is a fake news outlet. Other Religious Right websites like the Christian Post and BarbWire also fell for the fake story.

There it is: LeClaire cites a fake story, admits that it came from “Internet rags that tend to publish misleading information,” but uses it since “the fact that so many Christians took it as truth without a second blink is telling,” and the Drudge Report announces to its readers that Pope Francis may be the Antichrist.

Jennifer LeClaire: Gay Marriage Destroyed 'True Freedom And True Equality'

Charisma magazine senior editor Jennifer LeClaire wrote last week that she went into “spiritual shock” following the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality, telling readers that she was “mourning because true freedom and true equality have been replaced by a counterfeit crusade that truly sets no one free.”

“I almost felt like someone had died,” she wrote. “Someone didn’t, but something did. True liberty and justice for all.”

This decision, she said, was the culmination of “an anti-Christ agenda” that “will open the floodgates to a tsunami of perversion in the land.”

When I learned the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage I went into what you might call spiritual shock. I almost felt like someone had died. Someone didn't, but something did. True liberty and justice for all. I am grieving right now over the false freedom that was birthed out of a false equality movement. I am mourning because true freedom and true equality have been replaced by a counterfeit crusade that truly sets no one free. I am weeping because America has fallen and many in the church are being caught up in the Great Falling Away.

A line in the sand was long ago drawn. Our tyrannical government crossed that line on June 26, 2015. When five Supreme Court justices trampled state rights they knew all too well Christian rights would be trampled along with them. Call it a betrayal of our Constitution. Call it an anti-Christ agenda. Call it an assault on religious freedom. It's all that and more.

See, crossing this line in the name of equality was a spiritual assault on every believer who calls on the name of Jesus. This isn't about allowing gays to get married. No, not really. While I stand against gay marriage, it's not the letter of the law that concerns me most. It the spirit behind the law that truly grieves me. This ruling will open the floodgates to a tsunami of perversion in the land.

Pedophiles now want the same rights as same-sex couples. But that's the topic of another column.

I have to keep believing even in the midst of a raging spiritual war. I believe America as we know it died last Friday but I believe America can be born again. Like Winston Churchill said during World War II when the situation looked dire, "Never, never, never, never give up."

David Lane: 'Homosexual Fascism' Will Destroy America

David Lane, the Religious Right political organizer with deep ties to the Republican Party and a long record of extremist statements, is out with a warning about the upcoming Supreme Court case on marriage equality, warning in Charisma magazine yesterday that “the law has been drained of all truth by judicial secularists and relativists.” The Supreme Court’s rulings on church-state separation, Lane said, have “guaranteed the spiritual collapse of America.” Now, he warns, the Supreme Court is going to intensify “the threat posed by militant homosexuals.”

Lane said that “homosexual activists” are moving from “libertarianism” to “totalitarianism” and ultimately to “homosexual fascism.”

“Spiritual blindness permeates this once Christian people who now cannot recognize that the murder of 55 million babies in their mother’s womb, red ink as far as the eye can see, homosexuals praying at the Inauguration, and ISIS camped eight miles from the U.S. Border in Mexico portends the coming judgment of God,” Lane said. “Homosexual intercourse and homosexual marriage are merely the characteristic marks of a decadent society. Caitlin [sic] Jenner is simply the latest role model ‘showcased’ for our children to emulate, sanctioned by public education, higher learning, the main street media and Hollywood. Secularists are dismantling America brick-by-brick.”

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to rule on the homosexual marriage case on June 29. A pro-homosexual marriage opinion by the Justices will be an easy decision to disobey for Christians. The choice is obedience to Christ or obedience to the state.

Since the law has been drained of all truth by judicial secularists and relativists, what is good and what is evil are apparently determined by whatever five Supreme Court Justices can agree to on any given day.

Secularist values are not only different from, but also sharply antithetical to Christianity. The Justices' removal of the Bible from public schools in 1963—the fixed point in order to structure and judge society for 350 years—guaranteed the spiritual collapse of America.

This seems to be as good a time as any to speak of the threat posed by militant homosexuals. Homosexual activists once demanded libertarianism: "Grant us the right to live our lives in the privacy of our homes." Now, they have transitioned into totalitarianism: "Christian bakers, florists and photographers must take part in our homosexual weddings or be destroyed and bankrupted." But what comes next is homosexual fascism: "The followers of Jesus are going to celebrate and applaud same-sex marriage or spend time in jail."

Spiritual blindness permeates this once Christian people who now cannot recognize that the murder of 55 million babies in their mother's womb, red ink as far as the eye can see, homosexuals praying at the Inauguration, and ISIS camped eight miles from the U.S. Border in Mexico portends the coming judgment of God. Homosexual intercourse and homosexual marriage are merely the characteristic marks of a decadent society. Caitlin Jenner is simply the latest role model "showcased" for our children to emulate, sanctioned by public education, higher learning, the main street media and Hollywood. Secularists are dismantling America brick-by-brick.

We need a Gideon or Rahab the Harlot to make a stand.

Prophecy: Indiana Criticism A Forerunner Of 'Perversion' Tsunami

Jennifer LeClaire, the news editor of the Religious Right magazine “Charisma,” appeared on “Trunews” yesterday to tell host Rick Wiles about a recent prophetic experience she had in which God warned her that “a tsunami of perversion and all manner of wicked sin is headed towards this nation.”

Wiles said that this “tsunami” has already hit America: “I believe it’s truly a word from the Lord. ‘A tsunami of perversion and all manner of wicked sin is headed towards this nation.’ We see it right now. The first wave has already come in. The nation is embracing perversion, it is embracing hostility towards God, it is the most bizarre thing I’ve ever witnessed in my life and quite frankly it’s frightening.”

“This very week in Indiana, the governor and the legislative leaders of Indiana are being treated as though they’re worse than Hamas or Hezbollah,” Wiles said. “I’m just amazed to what is happening in this country.”

LeClaire agreed, suggesting that criticism of Indiana is proof that “we’ve opened the door to the Enemy in this land” and that the country is now experiencing “a spiritual attack.”

Wiles predicted that Christians in America will soon “go underground” and “suffer persecution” just like Christians in East Germany: “I believe pastors will be taken away in the middle of the night and be tortured.”

“We’re going to have to live out our Christian faith in the face of severe persecution” he added.

Paranoia-Rama: Beware Facebook Demons, Obama's 'Muslim Gang Sign' And Anti-Heterosexual Attacks

Surviving Obama’s America isn’t easy. Not only do you have to watch for immigrant militias hunting straight men, but you can’t even go online without facing attacks from Big Government or demonic covens.

'Response' Endorser: Antichrist Spirits At Right Wing Watch 'Verbally Crucified' Bobby Jindal

One of the Religious Right activists featured as an endorser on Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal’s “The Response” prayer rally website, Jennifer LeClaire of Charisma News, is furious with the criticism directed at Jindal for hosting the event.

LeClaire writes today that she is baffled by the “backlash” against the rally, insisting that criticism of Jindal is proof that the “antichrist spirits are rising” in this generation.

LeClaire is especially angry with Right Wing Watch for having “verbally crucified the governor” and violated his religious freedom by writing about his event.

I was at The Response: Baton Rouge this weekend, where thousands of believers from all walks of life and many denominations gathered together to cry out to God on behalf of a nation in crisis.

Crucifying Jindal

Although disappointing, it's not surprising that Jindal received heaps of criticism for his decision to host a Christian prayer rally. Protestors gathered outside the assembly center to voice their opposition. One protestor told CBN, "He shouldn't be doing it on a state campus. If they want to do that, go somewhere else."

But that was mild compared to what would come next. Right Wing Watch verbally crucified the governor, accusing him of "teaming up with anti-gay extremists and Christian-nation advocates" and "giving them credibility they do not deserve." Slate assumed The Response was "part of the rollout for Jindal's inevitable presidential run." And opednews.com claimed: "Jindal's 'Response' a No-Go Zone for Atheists, Gays, and Forms of Intelligent Life."

I could go on an [sic] on and some of the backlash is much worse than that—for calling people to come together and pray in the name of Jesus. I'm all for free speech and freedom of religion, but it seems some other religions—or the religion-less, secular humanists and atheists—are threatened by Christians who pray in the name of Jesus. That always surprises me, given they don't believe there's any God listening or answering anyway. Atheists should be glad Jindal is praying. I pray that God will encounter the hearts of atheists in an unprecedented way this year.

I think Jindal said it best when he told CBN: "You've got a group of Christians who say we want to pay money to rent a hall on LSU's campus so we can come together and pray. Do we really live in a society where that's controversial?" Unfortunately, in an age where antichrist spirits are rising, I guess we do.

Warning: 'Very Demonic, Very Evil'Halloween Is Approaching

Jennifer LeClaire, the news editor of the Religious Right magazine “Charisma,” said today that while we can have fun on Halloween, we should watch out because it is a “very demonic, very evil” occasion.

While speaking with the American Family Association’s Tim Wildmon and Ed Vitagliano about the “dangers” of Halloween, LeClaire warned that Halloween is a Satanic druid holiday.

Charisma News: Bans On Atheist Officeholders 'Good News For A Judeo-Christian America'

The right-wing outlet Charisma Magazine ran a story today about states that still have religious tests for people holding public office, even though they are not enforced.

“With the never-ending battle in our culture atheists bring against Christians, will [sic] the bans may soon be altogether removed,” writes Gina Meeks, Charisma’s assistant editor.

The magazine’s website posted the story on its front page with the subtitle: “This is good news for a Judeo-Christian America, but will the bans last?”

Charisma Pundit: 'Black Men Need More White Women Like Ann Coulter And Laura Ingraham'

Charisma pundit Raynard Jackson warns today that homosexuality and immigration are hurting African American men, and only white female right-wing commentators like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham can save the black community by fighting President Obama.

Seriously.

Black women constantly complain about the dearth of "eligible" black men to date and marry. Noted sociologist William Julius Wilson has argued that "the increasing levels of non-marriage and female-headed households is a manifestation of the high levels of economic dislocation experienced by lower-class black men in recent decades."

He further argues, "When joblessness is combined with high rates of incarceration and premature mortality among black men, it becomes clearer that there are fewer marriageable black men relative to black women who are able to provide the economic support needed to sustain a family."

Then you add in the unfortunate increase in homosexuality within the black community and you have a recipe for disaster.

This is why black men need more white women like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. Even though they are conservative media personalities, they have done more to promote the well-being of black males than many of the very women who stridently complain about the lack of "eligible" black men.

So, let me make sure I understand. Black women complain about the state of "eligible" black males to date and marry, yet they support the policies of a president who is going to make the problem much worse.

Obama has done more for same-sex marriage couples than he has for his same-race brothers and sisters. In fact, Newsweek dubbed him our first gay president—not for his sexual orientation, but for his relentless pandering to homosexuals.

Obama has also advocated amnesty for those in this country who are here illegally, which will only continue to increase the unemployment rate in the black community, especially among low- and under-skilled black workers. This will further decrease the pool of potential black men for women to date and marry. Let's face it, our women are not going to marry someone who is unemployed or underemployed.

Historically, black women have been notoriously protective of their men and children. It is ironic that Coulter and Ingraham, two conservative white women, are now assuming that role. We black men need more white women like Coulter and Ingraham, not back women who will give a pass to a failing black president.

Charisma's Jennifer LeClaire: Honey Maid Is 'Trying To Shove' Homosexuality 'Down My Throat'

Charisma new editor Jennifer LeClaire is upset that Honey Maid’s gay-inclusive TV ad is “trying to shove something down my throat for which I have no taste,” writing in a column today that she will “pray for those whose hand may be caught in the cookie jar of sexual immorality when Jesus returns.”

LeClaire also complains that the graham cracker company responded to critics by hiring two “lesbians [to] glue together the complaints to spell out the word ‘love’ in cursive.”

Nowhere in the response ad – or anywhere else that we can find, for that matter – does it say that the artists, Linsey Burritt and Crystal Grover of INDO, are lesbians.

Nabisco’s brand is no longer wholesome. The makers of favorites like Vanilla Wafers and Teddy Grahams is propagating same-sex marriage—complete with newborn babies—in its latest 30-second commercial. Dubbed This is Wholesome, the agenda is indeed anything but.

The commercial kicks off with a man feeding a baby. One would assume the man was the baby’s father. Seconds later, another man leans into the screen and kisses the baby on the head. The commercial reveals the baby’s two fathers taking the baby out for a walk, followed by images of other families spending time together. Of course, Teddy Grahams and Honey Maid graham crackers are intended to be the real star of the spot.

“No matter how things change, what makes us wholesome never will,” the voiceover states. “Honey Maid: Everyday wholesome snacks for every wholesome family. This is wholesome.”

Wholesome? Maybe Nabisco is using a different dictionary than the rest of us. Merriam-Webster defines wholesome as “promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit” and “sound in body, mind, or morals.” By either definition, Nabisco got it wrong.

How did Nabisco respond? The cookie company defended itself, releasing a new commercial showing two women holding up printed sheets of complaints people sent to Nabisco. The lesbians glue together the complaints to spell out the word “love” in cursive. The advertisement’s key message: “Proving that only one thing really matters when it comes to family: love.”

That said, Nabisco is still trying to shove something down my throat for which I have no taste. Although I defend their right to do so, I grieve over the latest example of how immorality is the new normal. Our only godly response is to continue speaking the truth in love and pray for those whose hand may be caught in the cookie jar of sexual immorality when Jesus returns.

Charisma Cites George Washington's Slaveholding As Proof Of His Christianity

While George Washington’s religious faith is to this day a matter of debate, Charisma is out with an article by pastor Eddie Hyatt insisting that Washington was an evangelical Christian just like Charisma readers.

Hyatt recycles the dubious Valley Forge prayer story and also cites prayers found in a supposed journal from a twenty-year-old Washington that historians regard as “patently false.”

Not only does Hyatt cite discredited tales and fake quotes, but he actually mentions Washington’s ownership of over 300 slaves as proof that he was a Christian:

Some have challenged Washington’s faith because he was a slave owner. But what is often not told is the fact that when Washington was challenged on how his keeping of slaves was inconsistent with his profession of faith in Christ, he began setting in motion a compassionate plan, at great personal cost, to make Mt. Vernon slave free. He offered freedom to all who wanted to go, but realizing that some did not have the knowledge and skills to prosper on their own, no one was forced to leave. Those who chose to stay began receiving wages for their work. Washington was much beloved by the black workers on his plantation whom he fed well, encouraged to marry and build families, and made sure they were well instructed in the gospel. Many, therefore, chose not to leave and became employees of the estate. Children were not released until they were of age and were provided with food, clothing, shelter and education. His own actions expanded his vision and he wrote, “I clearly foresee that nothing but the rooting out of slavery can perpetuate the existence of our union.”

Maybe Hyatt should read about the Fugitive Slave Act of 1793 or about Washington’s attempts to kidnap and re-enslave Oney Judge, a slave who escaped from his plantation, before he claims that Washington “offered freedom to all who wanted to go” and only kept them in inhumane bondage to help them “prosper on their own.”

In 1847, Rev. Benjamin Chase wrote a letter to the editor of the abolitionist newspaper The Liberator describing an interview he had conducted with while she lived as a runaway slave in New Hampshire, where Washington had sent men to capture her and her child. Chase noted that Judge’s reports of Washington drinking and playing cards on Sunday might have mattered more to some doubters of the former president’s Christian faith than his ownership of hundreds of slaves:

She says that she never received the least mental or moral instruction, of any kind, while she remained in Washington's family. But, after she came to Portsmouth, she learned to read; and when Elias Smith first preached in Portsmouth, she professes to have been converted to Christianity.

She, and the woman with whom she lives, (who is nearly of her age,) appear to be, and have the reputation of being imbued with the real spirit of Christianity. She says that the stories told of Washington's piety and prayers, so far as she ever saw or heard while she was his slave, have no foundation. Card-playing and wine-drinking were the business at his parties, and he had more of such company Sundays than on any other day. I do not mention this as showing, in my estimation, his anti-Christian character, so much as the bare fact of being a slaveholder, and not a hundredth part so much as trying to kidnap this woman; but, in the minds of the community, it will weigh infinitely more.

Great names bear more weight with the multitude, than the eternal principles of God's government. So good a man as Washington is enough to sanctify war and slavery; but where is the evidence of his goodness?

This woman is yet a slave. If Washington could have got her and her child, they were constitutionally his; and if Mrs. Washington's heirs were now to claim her, and take her before Judge Woodbury, and prove their title, he would be bound, upon his oath, to deliver her up to them. Again — [New Hampshire Gov.] Langdon was guilty of a moral violation of the Constitution, in giving this woman notice of the agent being after her. It was frustrating the design, the intent of the Constitution, and he was equally guilty, morally, as those who would overthrow it [emphasis in orignal].

Michael Brown Cites Bogus Article To Defend Harassment Hoax

In a column for Charisma today, conservative activist Michael Brown says he was too smart to fall for a hoax article about a middle school that “requires children to cross dress”…. but then goes ahead and cites another bogus story about transgender harassment in a Colorado school.

Apparently, an article about a Maryland school that mandates cross-dressing has gone viral, even though it came from the satirical National Report. Brown defended those who mistook the article for a real news story, calling it “a case of fiction being frighteningly close to truth.” He compared the fake Maryland school to a Wisconsin school that held a “a voluntary event that called for boys to dress like girls and girls to dress like boys” and a reported incident of a transgender girl in Colorado harassing other students in the bathroom.

But Brown fails to mention that the Colorado story was also a hoax, and the Religious Right group Brown mentions admitted that they manufactured the story. The girl who was targeted by the smear campaign was recently placed on suicide watch.

The article’s headline was absolutely shocking—“Maryland Middle School Requires Children to Cross Dress For ‘LGBTQ Appreciation Day’”—and not surprisingly, the article quickly went viral.

The good news is that it was a hoax.

The bad news is that it was so close to reality, most readers took it seriously, and it was only after I read a few paragraphs into the article that I realized it wasn’t true. This is a case of fiction being frighteningly close to the truth.

Unfortunately, there was enough in the article that sounded plausible for many people to believe every word of it, even though it got progressively outrageous.

A concerned mother sent me the link, asking if I had seen it, and when I replied that I believed it to be a hoax, she said she had initially believed it because of what she had already seen in her children’s schools. It hardly seemed over the top to her.

After all, back in May, it was reported, “Parents of students at a Wisconsin elementary school are up in arms over the theme ‘Gender Bender Day.’” Yes, “Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities in Milwaukee recently celebrated School Spirit Week with a series of events for students in kindergarten through eighth grades. ... Members of the student council chose Friday as ‘Gender Bender Day,’ a voluntary event that called for boys to dress like girls and girls to dress like boys.”

This time, the story was not a hoax.

Nor was it a hoax when the Pacific Justice Institute reported last month that parents at Florence High School, “located near Colorado Springs, became irate when they learned that a teenage boy was entering girls’ bathrooms and, according to some students, even making sexually harassing comments toward girls he was encountering. When the parents confronted school officials, they were stunned to be told the boy’s rights as a self-proclaimed transgender trumped their daughters’ privacy rights. As the controversy grew, some students were threatened by school authorities with being kicked off school athletic teams or charged with hate crimes if they continued to voice concerns.”

Charisma: Sandra Day O'Connor Bringing God's Judgment By Officiating Wedding For Gay Couple

Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor recently conducted a wedding at the Supreme Court for Jeffrey Trammell and Stuart Serkin, and Charisma magazine is warning that as a result divine retribution is right around the corner. Charisma posted a Reuters article by Lawrence Hurley and gave it the title: “Is Judgment Far Off? Gay Wedding Ceremonies Taking Place at US Supreme Court.”

The magazine asked readers to “sound off” by responding to the question: “Is this a prophetic sign of the state of our nation? Does it bother you that gay weddings are taking place at our nation’s High Court?”

Charisma: Pastor's Condemnation Of Homophobia An 'Anti-Christ Message'

The Religious Right magazine Charisma described an Episcopalian reverend’s condemnation of homophobia as an “anti-Christ message” that is corrupting Christianity: “A new, heretical, sin-affirming Christianity is spreading like a virus. How should we respond to the rise of these anti-Christ messages?”

Charisma’s Jennifer LeClaire, who regularly writes anti-gay columns for the outlet, criticized the Very Rev. Gary Hall of the National Cathedral has an apostate “caught in the snare of deception, even heresy”:

“We must now have the courage to take the final step and call homophobia and heterosexism what they are. They are sin. Homophobia is a sin. Heterosexism is a sin. Shaming people for who they love is a sin. Only when all our churches say that clearly and boldly and courageously will our LGBT youth be free to grow up in a culture that totally embraces them as they fully are.”

These aren’t the words of an outspoken gay activist at a rally. Or, well, maybe they sort of are. These words came from the lips of Rev. Gary Hall, the dean of Washington’s National Cathedral, in a recent Sunday sermon. Hall was speaking during a weekend that honored lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth and commemorated the 15th anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s death. Shepard was tragically murdered in an anti-gay hate crime in 1998.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, a nonprofit group dedicated to exposing the homosexual-bisexual-transgender activist agendas, told the Christian News Network that Hall’s comments reflect a nation that is playing out Isaiah 5:20, which states, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

“Gary Hall of the National Cathedral is sinning when he claims that opposition to homosexuality is a sin. This is counterfeit Christianity in action—transferring the guilt before God from those who are committing sins (of which homosexuality is one) to those who oppose those sins,” LaBarbera said.

“Obviously, ‘hating’ homosexuals or being so fearful that you fail to offer the hope of the gospel to people caught up in homosexual sin is wrong, but that’s not what Hall is talking about here. He is ‘redefining Christianity’ and sin itself in a way that flips the truth of the Word of God on its head. ... The danger is that this new heretical ‘sin-affirming Christianity’ is spreading in the evangelical Church.”

This sort of deception still shocks me. How can the Very Rev. Gary Hall, who has served as an ordained minister for more than 35 years—which means he was following God long before our nation’s Christian culture deteriorated to this point—hold such beliefs? And what does it mean when the chief ecclesiastical leader and executive officer—a man who works closely with the bishop of Washington and governing bodies to shape and support ministries to the city of Washington, the nation and the world—perpetrates these beliefs? And, moreover, what does this say about the state of Christianity and the times we live in?

I believe LaBarbera is spot-on. Christianity is slowly (or maybe not so slowly) being redefined into a religion that affirms sin. We see this manifesting in several ways, from the hypergrace message that condones sin among Christians to uber-liberal denominations that ordain gays into ministry and beyond.

But there is yet good news: God is still on the throne. God is giving even the most heretical, deceived ones a space to repent. Our job is to discern heresy, refuse to align with it and pray for the captives to be set free. If one of your family members was caught in a snare, wouldn’t you try to rescue him? Many Christians are caught in the snare of deception, even heresy. If you can see clearly, then I urge you to intercede for those the enemy has blinded. Let’s not just sit by and watch the problem get worse. Let’s drop to our knees and petition the King.

Charisma Magazine Asks Chris Christie: What If Child Predators Preyed On Your Son?

Anti-gay activists are furious that Gov. Chris Christie signed into law a bill barring ex-gay therapy for minors, and pastor Larry Tomczak penned an open letter to the New Jersey governor in his Charisma magazine blog. Tomczak, upset about Christie’s “unconscionable” decision to “capitulate to the gay agenda,” said the governor should reflect on his own “battle with overeating and endangering your health through poor nutritional choices” and realize that he shouldn’t affirm the gay “lifestyle” and its “frightening consequences.”

He goes on to ask Christie what he would think if older men preyed on his teenage son, who, as a result, “found himself temporarily confused and traumatized.” Tomczak said that after such experiences as a boy his “parents and pastors and counselors” had “early on set me on the path to normal heterosexual sexual understanding.”

Tomczak said that after such experiences as a boy his “parents and pastors and counselors” had “early on set me on the path to normal heterosexual sexual understanding.”

“I close this appeal by directing you to our Founding Fathers,” Tomczak writes. “They honored a Judeo-Christian belief system and upheld the Bible as their source of wisdom for life, laws and legislation.”

Young people today face challenges in the realm of sexuality that are unparalleled in our history. When you and I were growing up with our Roman Catholic training, we never faced the avalanche of pornography and celebration of homosexuality prevailing in the media, schools, government and entertainment there is today.

Multitudes of young children and teenagers are wrestling with sexual identity as they come of age. To capitulate to the gay agenda and stonewall providing options for those who are asking for them really is unconscionable. And since you pride yourself on being very up front and to the point, I'd like to submit to you that your three points are completely inconsistent with what should be your Roman Catholic and Christian worldview.

While parents, counselors and all of us should express understanding regarding people's upbringing and pain, we cannot release people from taking personal responsibility for their actions to do what is moral and right. Your well-publicized battle with overeating and endangering your health through poor nutritional choices probably makes this easy to comprehend.

Here's the deal: Are we really helping young people by reinforcing the prevailing notion that people are born gay—stuck to be this way for the rest of their life? And yes, there are pretty frightening consequences to this lifestyle that folks had just better accept

Gov. Christie, among your four children is a young teenage boy. Since you are known for your bluntness, can I share in a transparent manner some things that happened to me when I was his age and then ask a closing question?

As a young teen, two male teenage relatives tried to seduce me into sexual experimentation with gay sex. Additionally, I had a homosexual pick me up once while hitchhiking, and he offered me money to come to his apartment for an enema. (I was 13 and clueless as to what that was.) In a relatively short time, I jumped out of that car!

To this very day, I am grateful to God for parents and pastors and counselors who early on set me on the path to normal heterosexual sexual understanding. I knew right from wrong. I was able to discern, when faced with something that the Bible said was "unnatural" and "shameful" (Rom 1:24-27), what was the right thing to do.

Gov. Christie, I beseech you to step back and take a fresh look at this law. Think about your children. Think about the future of our nation. Think about how we can best prepare young people for a healthy and successful life. If your son when through what I did, found himself temporarily confused and traumatized, what kind of counsel—honestly—would you want him to hear?

Many believe you have aspirations for the presidency. I close this appeal by directing you to our Founding Fathers. They honored a Judeo-Christian belief system and upheld the Bible as their source of wisdom for life, laws and legislation.

Will you?

Respectfully submitted and upholding you and your family in my prayers, I remain,

Larry Tomczak

Charisma: Devil Promoting 'Gay Propaganda,' Disney Should Have TV Show with Ex-Gay Character

The Religious Right publication Charisma today published a column by ex-gay activist Janet Boynes arguing that the devil is behind the gay community’s alleged plan “to indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society.”

She praises the American Family Association affiliate One Million Moms for their campaign against “Good Luck Charlie” for featuring a same-sex couple, warning that the gay “game plan” is to “get into our schools and change the mindset of our children” and “create a new America based on sexual promiscuity in which the values you and I cherish are long forgotten.”

After arguing that the devil is responsible for such “gay propaganda,” Boynes writes that “One Million Moms should push for Disney and many other shows to air a show with a person that has left the life of homosexuality.”

As we sit and watch TV, all we see is the homosexual community taking over the airwaves. Why? because they are moving forward and not looking back. They have a game plan, and that plan is to get into our schools and change the mindset of our children, and in turn they, the children, will change the culture. Let me say this in plain English: The gay community wants to indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society. Their ultimate dream is to create a new America based on sexual promiscuity in which the values you and I cherish are long forgotten.

As I read what those amazing One Million Moms did by calling Disney to shut down the airing of lesbian moms on the show Good Luck Charlie, I felt relieved to know we are still fighting for what is valuable. That was a bold move, and I commend them for taking a stand.

Really? Don't you see what's happening here, church? The gay community is getting its message across—that change in sexual orientation is not possible—only because they have been given airtime on many TV shows and movies, and the media has had a voice in telling us what is right and true in their eyes. On Thursday, for example, Good Morning America aired a story of a high school coach from Yonkers, N.Y., who came out to his basketball players.

Nothing has changed. The devil is still trying to deceive many today, and we as the church have taken the bait, hook, line and sinker. Eve said in Genesis 3:13, "The serpent deceived me" (NKJV). I'm not even going to discuss the repercussions of that choice and how it has affected humanity today.

The Bible clearly says in Revelation 12:9 that the devil will deceive the whole world. Anything contrary to the truth of God's Word is a lie. Are you being deceived by the gay propaganda?

One Million Moms should push for Disney and many other shows to air a show with a person that has left the life of homosexuality. When have we seen this kind of lifestyle being shown in a positive light on Lifetime movies, in secular media, on Capitol Hill, at the White House or on any other television show, for that matter?

Charisma: Gay Spider-Man 'Weaves a Wicked Web' and an 'Unholy Gay Agenda'

It was only a matter of time before Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire took issue with The Amazing Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield’s asking, “Why can’t we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality?”

LeClaire, who believes that dark spirits are behind gay superheroes, writes today that “Garfield’s push for a gay Spider-Man weaves a wicked web that could help deceive a generation.”

“Unholy gay agenda, Batman!” LeClaire begins her column, “Don’t we have enough gay comic book heroes?”

She wishes there were superheroes, besides Bibleman, who are “casting devils out of their antagonists in the name of Jesus.” However, she says that “the gay agenda would crucify” a “Spirit-filled, tongue-talking superhero raising the dead.”

Unholy gay agenda, Batman! Andrew Garfield, the actor who starred as the superhero in The Amazing Spider-Man, apparently wants to see the beloved wall-crawler break Mary Jane’s heart and shack up with another man.

Not only did Garfield imagine his tights-wearing character in a relationship with a man, he’s also even considered who might play his damsel, er, dude in distress.

Really? Don’t we have enough gay comic book heroes? About this time last year, DC Comics outed the Green Lantern. When he’s not wearing his neon-green garb and accomplishing superhuman feats, the chiseled Green Lantern enjoys kissing his new boyfriend. As I noted in my column last year, perhaps DC Comics was trying to compete with its rival, Marvel Comics, which announced just days earlier that it would host the first gay wedding in the June 20 issue of Astonishing X-Men #51.

Of course, Marvel Comics has long proved more progressive on the gay superhero front. Northstar, an X-Men character, became the first openly gay superhuman in American comic book history way back in 1992. Around that same time there was also speculation that Batman was about to come out of his caved closet, which would confirm decades-old rumors that Batman and Robin are much more than friends in tights.

Garfield’s push for a gay Spider-Man weaves a wicked web that could help deceive a generation. Make no mistake, same-sex marriage is not God’s plan.

Here’s another thought: Gay superheroes are now mainstream. But where all the Christian superheroes? Why are Christian superheroes in the closet? I’m not knocking Bibleman, but that franchise is hardly influencing the masses on the silver screen.

Of course, some have said that Superman is a Methodist, Batman is an Episcopalian and Spider-Man is a Protestant. But you hardly see them casting devils out of their antagonists in the name of Jesus (which perhaps some would consider to be as bold as gay superheroes kissing in comics).

I wonder what the world would do if it saw a Spirit-filled, tongue-talking superhero raising the dead. I imagine the gay agenda would crucify him.

Charisma: Fight Against Gay Rights Resembles Fight Against Nazism

Pastor Larry Tomczak sure does like comparing gay rights advocates to Nazis. The Charisma columnist this week claimed that, like Nazi Germany, gay equality threatens the church and “would imperil us all—our children, our grandchildren and our future as a nation.” He praises “courageous” African countries that “outlaw homosexuality” for “standing strong amidst this moral storm” of President Obama, WNBA player Brittney Griner and “unscriptural, squishy, spineless” Christians.

Naturally, Tomczak ends the column by quoting Winston Churchill’s speech on the imminent Nazi attack on Britain.

The landmark Supreme Court ruling on gay “rights” did not redefine marriage, but it did give the rationale to deconstruct marriage.

Those of us standing up for traditional marriage now find ourselves portrayed as bigots for simply upholding marriage as it has stood for over 5,000 years of Western civilization! It’s unbelievable, but true.

All Christians are called to be salt and light, but if leaders choose calm over courage instead of addressing these issues for any number of reasons—“Just keep things positive,” “Don’t scare people off,” “We’re in a building program and can’t risk offending big donor,” Just preach the gospel; steer clear of politics,” “It’s all going down anyway,” “Why invite trouble or controversy?” “I’m warning all of you on staff that this would be a deal-breaker if you start talking about these kind of issues”—marriage as the central pillar of our civilization will be forever lost. We just cannot sit on the bench, mute in the midst of the defining moral issue of our generation, as the people will follow suit.

That’s what happened in Nazi Germany as pastors (with the exception of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and a remnant) were intimidated into silence and their flocks emulated their example. Adolf Hitler chortled derisively behind closed doors, knowing he’d discovered the key to railroading his plans through: “They [German pastors] will submit. … They are insignificant little people, submissive as dogs, and they sweat with embarrassment when you talk to them.”

Granted, we are not facing the Fuhrer, but redefining marriage means redefining religious liberty, and that would imperil us all—our children, our grandchildren and our future as a nation.

Alan Chambers, Rob Bell and Jim Wallis crisscross the country advocating for an unscriptural, squishy, spineless approach to this hot-button issue of homosexuality. The WNBA No. 1 draft pick from Baylor Baptist University, Brittany Griner, invites girls to follow her lesbian example as a new role model in USA Today. Even our president holds nothing back in pronouncing, “God bless you!” at America’s No. 1 abortion provider’s convention, then flies to Africa after the Supreme Court ruling in order to promote gay rights there after last telling them, “Africa’s future is up to Africans!”

Thank God for our courageous African counterparts who aren’t capitulating but are instead standing strong amidst this moral storm. Thirty-seven nations there outlaw homosexuality, and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, 2011 Nobel Peace Prize winner and Africa’s first female president, boldly stands to say she opposes decriminalizing homosexuality in her country. “We’ve got certain traditional values in our society that we’d like to preserve,” she says.

Will you ask God to help you speak up as America is going down? We need to pray and foster another great revival before it’s too late. As Winston Churchill told his flock in England’s “darkest hour” as they faced the extinction of their democratic freedoms, “I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. … If we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age. … Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its commonwealth last 4,000 years, men will still say, ‘This was their finest hour.’”

Dan Cummins: America Divided Between 'Gay Zones' and 'Free Zones'

Pastor Dan Cummins of Come Pray With Me has worked with a variety of Religious Right groups, including Newt Gingrich’s Renewing American Leadership, Rick Perry’s The Response USA and Tony Perkins’ Watchmen on the Wall, and organized his own prayer rally in the Capitol’s Statuary Hall.

But soon, Cummins warns, such organizations may not exist.

In a Charisma column today, Cummins writes thats gays will drive the church “underground” and turn churches into “government community centers.”

Cummins claims that the Supreme Court has created a divide in America similar to the Korean DMZ and the Berlin Wall, called “the Rainbow Curtain.” He says that the justices “from their judicial lair” have “set off a catalytic charge toppling traditional marriage” and now “the collapse of America’s moral infrastructure has been irreversibly set into motion.”

Residents of states with marriage equality are now “hostages” to a government that will use “foreign troops” to put them “re-education camps,” he argues.

“Like a surreal scene from Red Dawn, America woke up on June 26 to a divided nation, with 95 million of its citizens in 13 states held hostage to judicial legislation, trapped behind the Rainbow Curtain,” Cummins writes. “What’s ahead for those in the gay zones who refuse to comply with Kennedy’s dictates—re-education camps for homophobic racists? Will Big Sis employ foreign troops invading through our unsecured borders to enforce the transition into this brave new world?”

He hopes that the new “refugees” will “flee with their families into neighboring free zones,” asking, “Where are Patrick Swayze and his pack of Wolverines when we need them?”

He calls on anti-gay activists in “gay zones” to “become forearmed” as society unravels into a gay dystopia and “the choking dust clouds from the collapse of the last societal pillar of biblical, natural marriage stop rolling through the streets of our cities and states.”

After World War II, Stalin installed an iron curtain around Russia, keeping his capitalist neighbors from eavesdropping. The Chinese accessorized their Cold War condo with a bamboo curtain, deterring pesky peeping toms from the West.

Soon Mr. Khrushchev, keeping up with his Commie neighbors, built a privacy wall and gated community, secluding East Berliners from greedy, free-market entrepreneurs soliciting door to door. Not to forget Kim Il-Sung’s ensemble of razor wire and land mines across North Korea’s 38th parallel to discourage those JW and LDS types from indoctrinating the folks.

Now, in the midst of the American culture war, behind another curtain of sorts—a life-size photographic scrim concealing a facelift to the Supreme Court’s crumbling west façade—Justice Anthony Kennedy has ordered a redecorating of the nation’s landscape with a bold, colorful and inclusive statement—the Rainbow Curtain—a polyamorous blend of gender-on-gender suited for a post-moralist motif designed to safeguard the modern American family from the narrow-minded views of those “animus”-filled Founding Fathers.

From their juridical lair, the liberal Gang of Five recently set off a catalytic charge toppling traditional marriage—the last principled pillar upholding Uncle Sam’s home. Just how long his 237-year-old colonial manor can remain standing minus its moral supports intact is anyone’s guess. But the collapse of America’s moral infrastructure has been irreversibly set into motion by five legislating justices.

As the new civil rights movement packs the neighborhood streets, shouting, “Move that bus,” is America ready for the extreme home makeover the LGBT architects have designed for the evolving modern family?

Like a surreal scene from Red Dawn, America woke up on June 26 to a divided nation, with 95 million of its citizens in 13 states held hostage to judicial legislation, trapped behind the Rainbow Curtain and forced to accept the moral dictates of the elitist ruling party—a pentagram of liberal judges on the Supreme Court.

Many of those hostages, like California’s residents, were disenfranchised of their constitutional votes in the process. What’s ahead for those in the gay zones who refuse to comply with Kennedy’s dictates—re-education camps for homophobic racists? Will Big Sis employ foreign troops invading through our unsecured borders to enforce the transition into this brave new world?

What stark new realities are ahead for those behind the Rainbow Curtain? Will Americans become refugees in their own country as they flee with their families into neighboring free zone states? Where are Patrick Swayze and his pack of Wolverines when we need them?

The Supremes striking down Proposition 8 and partially ruling on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) have given the prize—marriage without borders—to the LGBT crowd and thrown the pro-biblical marriage community a legal bone by kicking the can back to the free zone states to argue it out in court.

What does this mean for the 70 percent of the U.S. population living in the free zones? Watch what happens to the families, businesses and churches in the gay zones who refuse to comply with Kennedy’s court. Be forewarned and become forearmed.

The new persecution of the church will be in the form of prosecution of the church. This legal martyrdom will be slow, painful and expensive. Some churches, especially in the gay zones initially, will fold under the financial strain.

The end result for any church refusing complicity to the court’s opinion will be loss of tax-exempt status. The IRS will not only control America’s health care but her religious institutions as well. For those churches indebted by hefty mortgages, the outcome of losing membership and their tax-exempt tithes will be potentially fatal. As foreclosed church properties flood the real estate market, they will be prime choices for government community centers.

You say this can’t happen in America? We were saying similar things 10 years ago about same-sex marriage and 40 years ago about abortion. Wake up!

Maybe China is the new model for American society. When the choking dust clouds from the collapse of the last societal pillar of biblical, natural marriage stop rolling through the streets of our cities and states, we will witness the aftermath left by Justice Kennedy’s ruling upon our families, churches and religious freedoms.

Will there only be two churches left in America when that time comes—the state church, with its complicit clergy complete with gay members, and the underground church of Jesus Christ? Take heart—the greatest revival in the world is now taking place in the underground church of China. Maybe revival is coming to America after all. Either way, you had better get a Bible.

And Johnson knows this for a fact because God told him so: “I was in a time of prayer several weeks ago when God began to speak to me concerning... MORE >

Yesterday, the Drudge Report ran the following headline: “Pope Francis Antichrist? Stand on Islam, capitalism, New World Order fuel chatter….” Matt Drudge linked to a post on the matter by Jennifer LeClaire, the Charisma news editor who issues “prophetic” warnings about how gays are possessed by demons and will work with Satan to ban straight marriage. Charisma magazine senior editor Jennifer LeClaire wrote last week that she went into “spiritual shock” following the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality, telling readers that she was “mourning because true freedom and true equality have been replaced by a counterfeit crusade that truly sets no one free.” “I almost felt like someone had died,” she wrote. “Someone didn’t, but something did. True liberty and justice for all.” This decision, she said, was the culmination of “an anti-Christ agenda” that “will... MORE >

David Lane, the Religious Right political organizer with deep ties to the Republican Party and a long record of extremist statements, is out with a warning about the upcoming Supreme Court case on marriage equality, warning in Charisma magazine yesterday that “the law has been drained of all truth by judicial secularists and relativists.” The Supreme Court’s rulings on church-state separation, Lane said, have “guaranteed the spiritual collapse of America.” Now, he warns, the Supreme Court is going to intensify “the threat posed by militant homosexuals....
