Os Hillman has recently been writing about how conservatives can make overtures to their Satanic gay friends and even bring about a “reduction in the gay population.” Today in a Charisma column titled “4 Questions to Consider in Response to the Gay Agenda,” he warned that America may soon face divine punishment for tolerating gay people.
He said that tolerance has become a “cultural idol” and its own “god,” which has allowed a “liberal and unholy leadership to rise in power.” Hillman fears that a divine “day of reckoning... MORE >

Former Charisma editor J. Lee Grady has an article in the Religious Right publication today discussing a Bible verse which he claims condemns homosexuality and sexual violence: Deuteronomy 23.1: “No one whose testicles are crushed or whose penis is cut off shall be admitted to the assembly of the LORD.”
He says that homosexuality, along with promiscuity and sexual abuse, are all “categories of crushed manhood,” arguing that gay men “crave the healthy male attention they should have received from a dad” and “mistakenly think that sex with another man... MORE >

An email sent from Charisma media, a Pentecostal media company, brings the “news” that Obamacare has killed its millionth person. Amazingly, this milestone was reached even before health care reform has been fully implemented. The claim is not documented or explained in any way. It seems to be mostly an attention-grabbing way to promote some right-wing hucksterism. Here’s how the letter starts:
Obamacare Just Killed its Millionth Person...
Dear Concerned Citizen,
The eleventh hour is upon us.
In the coming weeks, the full impact of Obamacare will take... MORE >

Os Hillman of “Reclaiming the Seven Mountains” argues in a column today at Charisma News that conservative Christians can show love to the gay community without offering an “endorsement of a lifestyle” that is considered sinful.
He warns that Christians “fall into deception” and “embrace a life of sin” when they affirm gays and lesbians, whom he says are seeking “acceptance from the straight community, politicians and God.”
Hillman urges readers to befriend gays and lesbians but only so “they might embrace God’s love... MORE >
Charisma: Jason Collins Must Launch 'War on Homosexual Tendencies' and 'Repent Before It's Too Late'

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire, who has been freaking out about the prospect of an openly gay player in the NFL, today responded to the news that NBA player Jason Collins came out of the closet by calling on him to begin “declaring war on homosexual tendencies” and “repent before it’s too late.”
LeClaire writes that homosexuality is “a choice” and claims that Collins is “in bondage to a sin,” hoping that “Christian NBA players—and fans—will reach out to him in love and pray for him.”
I am a huge basketball... MORE >

David Outten of the Religious Right media group Movieguide is worried that a new Disney television show may be undermining the traditional family. Outten warns in “Is Disney’s New Princess Undermining Family Values?” that the Disney show Sofia the First, which is about a girl who enters a princess-training academy after her mom, a commoner, marries a King, may be promoting the “modern family” at the expense of “the long-term well-being of children.”
Sofia the First, Disney’s new preschool princess on television, doesn’t need a prince.... MORE >

Michael Brown is quite upset that Sojourners head Jim Wallis now supports marriage equality, and in a column for Charisma yesterday accused Wallis of “apostasy” and taking the “path to spiritual and moral suicide.” “Rev. Wallis, you have brought reproach to the name of Jesus, to the Word of God and to evangelical Christianity,” Brown writes, “you will need to humble yourself and repent.”
Rev. Wallis, you have brought reproach to the name of Jesus, to the Word of God and to evangelical Christianity.

Charisma news editor Jennifer LeClaire has long been warning readers about the perils of gay super heroes, laws protecting gays from violence and demon rape, which she says makes people gay.
After we reported last month that LeClaire is deeply troubled at the prospect of NFL players coming out as gay, she apparently has not enjoyed the attention she has received.
“The gay agenda swarmed around me like a shark that smelled blood,” she writes in a column yesterday, “the response from the gay agenda to God’s truth is often hate.”
She claimed that gays and lesbians... MORE >

Last year alumni from Wheaton College—what used to be the heart of conservative evangelicalism—made headlines for forming an organization to not only support the gay community, but also to promote the belief that homosexuality and Christianity are compatible. As on Christian college campuses throughout the United States, they have once again succeeded in convincing believers that Jesus’ command to “love your neighbor” means turning a blind eye to what the Bible explicitly calls an “abomination.”
