Far-Right Pastor: Christians ‘Should’ve Stormed The Capitol’ To Protest Gay Marriage

In case you need another example of how ridiculous the Religious Right’s persecution complex has become, look no further than Friday’s edition of “Trunews,” where Rick Wiles spoke with Texas pastor and activist Rick Hertless about a prayer rally he will be hosting outside of the U.S. Capitol in September.

Hertless told Wiles that he “should’ve stormed the Capitol” in protest of the Supreme Court’s decision on marriage equality, “but now I’m going to.”

After Wiles claimed that Christians in America will soon be “where the early church was during the Roman Empire,” Hertless said that he has already told his congregation that “the church is going underground.”

Hertless added that unlike Wiles, who vowed to leave the U.S. because of the legalization of gay marriage, he plans to stay “on the frontlines” in America.

He even bravely pledged to “fight the battle in the underground church at risk of life.”
