As we noted yesterday, we’ve been going through the archives of homeschooling activist Kevin Swanson’s “Generations Radio” show in preparation for his upcoming conference featuring Republican presidential hopefuls Mike Huckabee, Ted Cruz and Bobby Jindal.
One of Swanson’s primary areas of concern is social trends that he believes turn kids gay, including Girl Scout cookies and the movie “Frozen.” In a 2007 broadcast, Swanson mentioned another institution that he was afraid might make children gay: day care.
Discussing a study that showed that a large number of American children were cared for by a relative, nanny or day care provider, Swanson wondered what horrors lay in wait for America.
“What the study didn’t consider was how these children would continue to erode the family in their lives, when they turn to be 20, 25, 30 years of age, how many will reject meaningful, long-term relationships?” He asked. “Think about that, guys. How many of these kids in day care will abort their children, for example? How many will live in shallow, fornicating relationships at 21 years of age? They’re already doing that — 95 percent of Americans admit to premarital sex. How many of these children will get divorced? How many will have their own children out of wedlock? How many boys will become homosexuals? How many will wind up in prison?”
“You replace human relationships with institutionalizations, my friends, you’re going to reap the whirlwind,” he concluded.
