Scarborough: Obama's Condemnation of Russian Anti-Gay Law 'Puts Our Country in a Very Precarious Place'
Rick Scarborough hosted Kris Mineau, who leads the Massachusetts Family Institute, on a Tea Party Unity conference call today to discuss his fight against LGBT rights efforts in the Bay State. Mineau told listeners to worry about the State Department’s “worldwide advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights” and understand the true meaning of President Obama’s statement that Russia’s ban on pro-gay rights speech violates “basic morality.”
According to Mineau, Obama’s opposition to the Russian law means that “if you or I oppose same-sex marriage, we are immoral.” Scarborough, meanwhile, added that “what the President is now saying is that God’s word is a direct assault on people—the lesbian and gay community—that God’s word is clearly wrong and that puts our country in a very precarious place.”
