Todd Starnes Warns Of Anti-Duck Dynasty Violence, Links Same-Sex Marriage To Healthy Food Initiatives

In an interview last week with talk show host Jeanne Dennis, Fox News commentator Todd Starnes predicted that conservative Christians will soon organize acts of civil disobedience and street demonstrations akin to the Civil Rights Movement to protest their purported oppression.

Starnes specifically cited Phil Robertson, who was briefly suspended from the A&E show “Duck Dynasty” for making racist and anti-gay remarks in a magazine interview, as a victim of “persecution.”

He even said that criticism of Robertson will lead to violence: “If you can take someone like Phil Robertson and say, ‘Phil Robertson is preaching hate,’ or, ‘He’s speaking hate,’ eventually that is going to justify violence against those kinds of people.”

Later in the interview, Starnes linked same-sex marriage to feminism, which he said is waging “an attack on men” and “putting limitations” on women, and to Michelle Obama’s healthy diet and living initiatives, which he feared would lead to a ban on Nutter Butters and cheeseburgers.

Starnes said that feminism, same-sex marriage and the first lady’s health advocacy are all part of an attempt to “tear down the family unit” and make the government “control everything.” He finished by making a joke mocking transgender people.

Dave Daubenmire Suggests LGBT-Affirming Adults Are Better Off Dead, Decries Democrats As 'Children Of Lucifer'

Far-right pundit Dave Daubenmire attended a gay pride parade in Springfield, Missouri, last month and posted photos of participants in his latest column, decrying “the young souls parading their sin in the public streets.”

“Homosexuality is gobbling up our young kids,” he added, warning that children “are being lured into a self-destructive behavior because they have bought the lie that homosexuality is normal.”

Alluding to a verse from the Book of Matthew, Daubenmire wrote that it “would have been better for these adults had they been drowned with a millstone around their necks than having mislead one of these little ones.”

I just returned home with a group of hearty men from witnessing at the Homosexual Pride Parade in Springfield, Missouri. As usual, I was heartbroken by the age of those who have been captured by the “lifestyle.” Take a look at these photos. Notice the young souls parading their sin in the public streets. It would have been better for these adults had they beendrowned with a millstone around their necks than having mislead one of these little ones.

These two pictures, in particular, broke my heart. These are somebody's daughters. I wonder if their Mom's and Dad's hearts' are broken too?

When we returned, I posted some of these images on my Facebook page. My intent was to prick the hearts of people to action. Homosexuality is gobbling up our young kids. There is nothing “gay” about it. They are being lured into a self-destructive behavior because they have bought the lie that homosexuality is normal. It isn't. It is deviant. Someone needs to tell them, help them, and lead them to the truth. Our churches have turned a blind eye.

In another column, Daubenmire claimed that the Democratic Party “should be called the Party of Death” due to its support for abortion rights and gay equality.

“Hedonistic” Democrats, Daubenmire explained, are the “children of Lucifer” who deny science and promote “homosex” to children.

“Smoking a Marlboro is bad but sodomizing the Marlboro Man is worse,” he said.

The Bible teaches us that Jesus is the embodiment of Truth. The American-left hates Truth. It is obvious for anyone with the courage to admit it. The Democratic Party in America should be called the Party of Death because two of their leading platforms support death if it gets in the way of Pursuit of personal Happiness.

Abortion kills an unborn baby. All of the legal linguistics and excuses that the God-haters use supplant the freedom of choice over the unalienable Right to Life. “Choice” is not an unalienable right. The God-haters love science and all the “evidence” it can provide to disprove the existence of God, yet they ignore ALL Medical Science which unquestionably proves that a “fetus” is a life.

But that doesn't matter...it is hedonistic-happiness that is paramount to the children of Lucifer...even to the denial of what is obvious to everyone. They admit that a fetus is “alive” but that it is not “viable” or “self-aware” or “unable to live on its own.” Funny, isn't it? That is the same position that the Left is taking in regards to the aged...because the Left loves death.

Help me out here...can someone tell me why our schools spend so much time teaching our kids the dangers of smoking while we laud and encourage a far more lethal behavior of male-on-male anal sex? Smoking a Marlboro is bad but sodomizing the Marlboro Man is worse.

Thousands of innocent people around the world have gotten HIV by accident. The AIDS virus is the sexual equivalent of second-hand smoke. The Left denies and lies about any science that doesn't fit their agenda. If you disagree with their interpretation of science you are intolerant, bigoted, and homo-phobic.

Ask yourself this, Mom and Dad. Would you rather your child smoked a cigarette or engaged in homosex? Which is your school teaching is worse? Both abortion and HIV is acquired. The Left wants to separate their behavior from the consequences, no matter how many innocent have to die. Happiness is more important than Life.

If abortion ended tomorrow more babies would live. If sodomy was criminalized tomorrow more people would live. The Science supports my position. But the God-haters love death more than Truth.

Barber: Hobby Lobby Decision 'Bodes Very Well' For Christians Who Want To Discriminate Against Gays

In the wake of the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby decision, Miranda noted how anti-gay activists were excited by the prospect that the decision had set a precedent that could now be used to exempt Christian businesses from having to comply with anti-discrimination laws when it comes to issues like gay marriage.

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Liberty Counsel's Matt Barber addressed exactly this issue, saying that he is hopeful that anti-gay Christians will now have a solid defense when they refuse to "be an indentured servant" by providing services to "a counterfeit gay marriage" because this ruling was "a strong rebuke of all those sexual orientation laws around the country in cities and municipalities and states that say somehow gays win, Christians lose, sexual orientation trumps all."

"This decision, if you read between the lines," Barber asserted, "it says religious freedom is sacrosanct, including for the business owner."

Saying that nowhere in the Constitution does it say that Christians are required to participate in sin by providing services for a gay wedding that mocks God, Barber believes that this decision "sends a strong signal" that religious liberty is protected by the Constitution and by law while sexual orientation is not.

"Clearly the First Amendment and RFRA, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, read through the prism of this decision," Barber said, "I believe bodes very well for Christians who say 'we will not partake and give any recognition to fake same-sex marriage'":

Scott Lively: There Is A Gay Agenda, And It 'Reflects An Insane And Satanic Delusion'

Like many of us, Scott Lively spent the Fourth of July weekend reflecting on the “gay agenda,” and on Sunday published a WorldNetDaily column arguing that said agenda very much exists and in fact “reflects an insane and Satanic delusion which breeds chaos."

Lively argues, as he does frequently, that he didn’t mind when the gay rights movement was about “the right to be left alone,” but he doesn’t like what he sees as the post-Stonewall turn toward the “radically Marxist goal” of destroying the family and all of society.

Mentioning the “gay” agenda in the presence of an LGBT activist or any other Cultural Marxist is like pulling the string on a Sheriff Woody doll, you hear precisely the same recording each time: “What gay agenda? There is no gay agenda.”

But, of course, the audacious lie that the now-global LGBT political movement has “no agenda” is as transparent as the Emperor’s new clothes. Indeed, their agenda is not only undeniable, it has unfortunately become unavoidable!

An agenda is simply a plan or list of matters to be acted upon by a person or group related to a strategic goal to be achieved. By definition, every person or group with a goal has one.

The original goal of the “gay” movement was best summarized by Dale Jennings of the Mattachine Society as “the right to be left alone.” Before Stonewall: Activists for Gay and Lesbian Rights in Historical Context, Phd Dececco (John), John Dececco, Phd, Vern L Bullough, Vern L Bullough, RN, PhD, Haworth Press, 2002, p 88. That goal can be translated as “tolerance.” I think it is fair to say that the vast majority of pro-family advocates and activists in the world today (including this writer) would gladly support that goal.

However, with the violent Stonewall Riot of June 28, 1969 (celebrated annually today as “Gay Pride Day“), the movement adopted a radical Marxist goal and agenda heavily influenced by Herbert Marcuse of the Frankfort School of “Cultural Marxists.”

In conclusion, the “gay” agenda is to eliminate the existing Judeo-Christian model of civilization, grounded in marriage-based procreative sexuality, to make way for an irrational and impossible Cultural Marxist model which imagines family-less unlimited “sexual freedom” (anarchy), while somehow preserving orderliness in every other aspect of human society. It reflects an insane and Satanic delusion which breeds chaos, and can only be stopped by unceasing reaffirmation of Biblical values and the natural family by the rest of us.

Joseph Farah Offers 'Tough Love' To Elton John: Homosexuality Is A 'Vile Practice'

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is outraged that Elton John cited the teachings of Jesus Christ as a reason to support marriage equality, because obviously only anti-equality activists are allowed to point to scripture.

In a column yesterday, Farah offered the musician some “tough love” that is “designed to save people from really bad decisions.”

After calling same-sex marriage an “absurd” “oxymoron” that validates a “vile practice” and will bring down civilization, Farah argued that gay people can only take part in “make-believe marriages.”

“A marriage that is not consummated has long been considered incomplete, not deserving of any legal recognition whatsoever,” he wrote. “So please tell me how a same-sex couple consummates one of these make-believe marriages? Acts of sodomy were never considered consummation in the eyes of the law.”

Not only has man put asunder individual marriages, but people like Elton John, Barack Obama and a host of judges have, some in the name of Jesus, attempted to put asunder the entire concept of marriage.

Mind you, just the practice of homosexuality is an abomination, according to Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 23:13. Romans 1:26-27 show this view did not change after Jesus’ death and resurrection. But what Elton John is advocating and practicing is something more than just the practice of an “abomination” and a “vile practice.” He’s also promoting the profaning of marriage, an institution Jesus said was created by God in the Garden of Eden.

Let me lay some cards on the table, not with the intent of being mean to people who feel differently, but in the spirit of tough love, designed to save people from really bad decisions:

1.Same-sex marriage is an oxymoron. “Marriage” is and shall always remain an institution between one man and one woman. No civilization or culture in the history of the world has ever experimented with same-sex marriage, though there were questionable experiments with polygamy, always fraught with severe and negative consequences. Bible-believing Jews and Christians consider marriage a divinely created institution. This account was confirmed by Jesus in the gospels when He was asked about divorce. What today’s proponents of same-sex marriage seek to do is redefine marriage, claiming this institution that has long been seen as the literal building block of civilized, productive and self-governing societies is “discriminatory” because it prohibits homosexuals from participating. Nothing could be more absurd.

2. Legally speaking, though, even in an increasingly secular society like ours, there is a reason same-sex marriages could never be recognized. A marriage that is not consummated has long been considered incomplete, not deserving of any legal recognition whatsoever. A marriage union that remains unconsummated never happened in the eyes of the law. So please tell me how a same-sex couple consummates one of these make-believe marriages? Acts of sodomy were never considered consummation in the eyes of the law. Again, this suggests that whatever it is the homosexual activists are trying to achieve through their relentless campaign, it is not marriage. It would have to be some complete and utter corruption of the idea of marriage.

It’s time to lay it on the line with some plain talk: Two men cannot marry each other because they cannot consummate that union. Period. End of story. Two women cannot marry each other because they cannot consummate that union. Period. End of story.

Tony Perkins Says Obama's Push For 'Radical Sexualism' And 'Global Homosexuality' Is Persecuting Christians

Tony Perkins has never been a fan of President Obama’s support for LGBT rights abroad, even going so far as to defend Uganda’s “kill the gays” bill as an “effort to uphold moral conduct."

In his radio bulletin today, the Family Research Council president attacked the Obama administration’s decision to “export immorality” by promoting “global homosexuality” and “radical sexualism.”

He even charged that U.S. support for LGBT rights is somehow harming “Christians persecuted overseas” by undercutting religious freedom.

Under the current administration, America’s top export is immorality. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. Considering the news, foreign policy must be a foreign concept to this White House. While the veterans watch as the Middle East implodes, the President's trying to put troops on the ground in the fight to promote global homosexuality. When the U.S. embassy isn't flying rainbow flags, the Obama administration is planting them -- for radical sexualism. During this month's LGBT pep rally at the State Department, John Kerry said his biggest focus was "working hard to have lesbian, bisexual, and transgender ambassadors." He went on to say, "We now have hundreds of LGBT individuals in our bureaus at State, USAID, and at posts all around the world." Of course, what Kerry didn't mention is that his agenda is coming at the expense of the nation's real priorities. Unfortunately for Christians persecuted overseas, religious liberty is the casualty of this push. America's credibility is the other.

Matt Barber Bravely Stands Up For Uganda's Anti-Gay Crackdown

Liberty Counsel attorney Matt Barber wants President Obama and Vice President Biden to stop bullying Uganda merely because its leaders are taking the courageous stand of jailing gay people and making homosexuality a crime punishable up to life imprisonment.

In an article last week for OneNewsNow (the media arm of the American Family Association) entitled “Will U.S. bully nations if they are anti-'gay'?,” Barber expressed outrage that the Obama administration is treating gays as human beings.

Matt Barber, vice president of Liberty Counsel Action and founder of Barbwire.com, says to hear Biden one would think America's chief export right now is immorality.

"... The fact [is] that the majority of the world recognizes that it's offensive to compare sexual license to true human rights violations," he tells OneNewsNow. "And the fact that that escapes Joe Biden and President Obama boggles the mind."

Barber argues that those who promote LGBT rights are using "euphemistic language to dishonestly conflate human rights with disordered sexual license."

"For Joe Biden to tell the world, a world that embraces sexual morality and traditional values, [that] I don't care what your culture is [is essentially telling other nations] You must embrace the United States' immoral view of sexual immorality and sexual sin or we're going to penalize you with the powers of the purse string." (emphasis in original)

Which Barber points out is exactly what the U.S. has done to Uganda. That country passed a law in February that strengthened criminal penalties for homosexual acts and made life sentences possible for those convicted of breaking the law. Last week, the U.S. imposed visa bans on Ugandan officials who the administration feels are violating homosexual rights there.

Scott Lively: John Oliver Is 'A Liar And A Fraud'

Anti-LGBT pastor Scott Lively is not happy with HBO host John Oliver’s recent commentary regarding the crackdown on the gay community in Uganda and Lively’s role in it.

While Lively traveled to Uganda in 2009 to promote anti-LGBT views, he has since tried to distance himself from the country’s new draconian laws, and did not take kindly to Oliver’s suggestion that his lobbying efforts somehow played a role in enacting them.

I’m calling out John Oliver as a liar and a fraud who couldn’t go ten minutes with me in an unscripted, unedited debate. Without his teleprompter and his cheap-shot, out-of-context video clips he would be exposed as just another left-wing loony.

Oliver is lying through selective editing re Rwanda and several other points. His show was one continuous stream of malicious LGBT propaganda in the guise of comedy.

Yes, it will likely negatively affect the voters, as it was intended to do. It’s one more example of the “politics of personal destruction” that Saul Alinsky taught the “progressives,” including journalists, to practice

Lively also wrote in WorldNetDaily today about the need to fight “Marxist elites” before it’s too late:

I believe the Marxist elites are conspiring to legalize “gay marriage” at the Supreme Court as soon as 2015.

Last week a three-judge panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-1 to strike down the Utah DOMA, making it the first to be ruled upon at the appellate level. The decision was stayed pending trial, which will probably occur late this year or early next year with a final decision coming down in June of 2015.

Utah could be the case Ginsburg and her pals will use to keep their promise to the left, IF they believe they can pull it off without triggering widespread cultural backlash. That IF is our ray of hope.

Now, more than ever, it is important for the pro-family movement to fight back against the “gay” agenda and to firmly reject the elites’ Marxist rhetorical presumption of inevitable victory in “the tide of history.”

Ginsburg revealed the chink in their armor: public resistance! The pro-family movement is already stronger than the pro-life movement was in 1973. Perhaps if we push back hard enough against this latest social engineering scheme we can prevent SCOTUS from cursing us with an LGBT Roe v Wade. Lets [sic] get to work!

Gordon Klingenschmitt's Book Reveals Obama Is Ruled By Gay Demons, 'Worthy Of Death'

Gordon Klingenschmitt, the anti-gay exorcist and preacher who is the Republican nominee for a seat in Colorado’s state legislature, released a book before the 2012 election called “The Demons of Barack H. Obama.”

In the book, Klingenschmitt cites fifty events compiled by right-wing pseudo-historian David Barton which apparently reveal President Obama’s demonic spirits. (Ironically, the “demonic spirits of historical revisionism” are among his many demons.)

According to Klingenschmitt, Obama is ruled by the “demonic sprits” of “death,” “murder,” “child-murder,” “sexual abuse,” “genocide,” “paganism,” “witchcraft,” “homosexual lust” and “anti-Christian oppression”… to name just a few.

Klingenschmitt’s book is set up as a dialogue between a fictional President Obama and two types of spirits, one a demon (which provides “desolation”), and the other the Holy Spirit (which provides “consolation”). It includes colorful (and of course entirely made up) quotes of the various demons supposedly speaking through the president and Hillary Clinton.

In one passage concerning Clinton’s UN speech on LGBT rights, Klingenschmitt claims that Obama and Clinton are both ruled by demons and as a result are worthy of death.

December 2011 – The Obama administration denigrates other countries’ religious beliefs as an obstacle to radical homosexual rights.

Desolation: Demonic spirits of denigration of religious values that oppose homosexual conduct as sin (outside, whispering): “Barack, in your conversation with Hillary Clinton, ensure that you and she directly make speeches which oppose religious values as abnormal, and promote homosexual sin as normal. Then more of your followers will sin, and less will be holy.”

Consolation: Holy Spirit of purity and respect for religious teaching (outside, whispering): “Barack, I want people to be holy and pure with their lives, and that means consecrating their sexuality to God, with self-control and faithfulness to marriage. Encourage Hillary to respect peoples’ religious values, and encourage sexual purity which betters society for children.”

Manifestation: Demonic spirits of denigration (acting through Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton): “We oppose religious values that encourage the freedom enjoyed in sexual purity, because we find sexual purity too oppressive. Instead we promote the demonic oppression caused by homosexual immorality, because we find sin to be liberating, and religion to be despised.”

Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton are ruled, in this instance, by demons of sexual immorality, mockery of religion, and open rebellion against the love that God provides in sexual faithfulness.

Scripture Mr. Obama Violated: “Although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.” Romans 1:32, NASB. (emphasis in original)

Linda Harvey Horrified That Soldiers And Scouts Marched In LGBT Pride Parades

On her radio show today, Mission America head Linda Harvey lamented the presence of military service members and Boy Scouts in LGBT pride parades.

The anti-LGBT activist called openly gay service members and scouts an “insult” to their peers, bad role models and most likely child predators.

Is anyone who insists on open homosexual behavior in our military the kind of soldier we need? I don’t think so. And here’s the basic issue: no one needs to be doing this behavior in the first place. It’s an insult to fellow soldiers, and in a Boy Scout situation, it’s an insult to the boys. And yes, open that door and there will be a flood of those interested in having sexual contact with young males. It’s the reality that has existed since the beginning of human history, some people insist on this sin and they insist on it with children. It’s the really selfish adults or clueless ones who would expose kids to danger like this. Friends, if you have a son or daughter in the Scouts, remove them as soon as possible. They’re already hearing about this and learning misinformation. This lifestyle is not how anyone is born and it is certainly not gay.

Klingenschmitt: Jesus Will Overrule The Supreme Court And Toss Gays Into Hell

On today's "Pray In Jesus Name" program, Gordon Klingenschmitt, who happens to be a current Republican candidate for office in Colorado, reacted to the recent decision from the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals striking down Utah's ban on gay marriage by declaring that regardless of what the courts on earth rule, Jesus will eventually rule against gay marriage and toss all gays into Hell.

Saying that while the newspapers today are filled with headlines about the spread of gay marriage, eventually gay people will be called before the Great White Throne of Judgment where Jesus will overrule all of the earthly courts that ruled in favor of gay marriage and sentence gays to Hell.

"Jesus as the judge will overrule the Supreme Court," Klingenschmitt said, "and what will he do with these two men? It'll be printed in Heaven's newspaper in a hundred years that God throws them into Hell":

Anti-Gay Archbishop Under Investigation For Sexual Misconduct

John Nienstedt, the Catholic archbishop who championed the failed effort to ban same-sex marriage in Minnesota, is facing a church investigation over allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with other men, including priests and seminary students.

“I believe that the investigators have received about ten sworn statements alleging sexual impropriety on the part of the archbishop dating from his time as a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, as Bishop of New Ulm, and while coadjutor and archbishop of St. Paul and Minneapolis,” church whistleblower Jennifer Haselberger told the magazine Commonweal, adding that Nienstedt “also stands accused of retaliating against those who refused his advances or otherwise questioned his conduct.”

Haselberger previously revealed that Neinstedt was failing to properly investigate instances of alleged sexual abuse by priests, including one priest who may have had an “unprofessional relationship” with Neinstedt.

Nienstedt vigorously denied the allegations, and stressed in his statements that none of the claims of sexual misconduct “involve minors.” Last year, he was investigated by local law enforcement for allegedly touching a boy’s buttocks during a confirmation ceremony, but was not charged.

Under Neinstedt, the archdiocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul joined with fellow Minnesota dioceses to deliver hundreds of thousands of dollars to anti-gay groups, together becoming the largest donor to the unsuccessful campaign pushing a state marriage amendment.

Neinstedt warned Catholics that “there ought not be open dissension” on the issue of marriage equality and urged them to pray against gay rights. According to the Minnesota LGBT site The Column, the archdiocese also “sent out more than 400,000 DVDs that urged voters to vote for candidates that supported putting a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage on the ballot in 2012.”

During the campaign to ban marriage equality, Neinstedt said Satan is behind gay rights and called homosexuality a “grave evil.”

He has criticized the film Brokeback Mountain as an attack on Jesus Christ that would bring down society and described homosexuality as the “result of psychological trauma” that “must be understood in the context of other human disorders: envy, malice, greed, etc.”

Kevin Swanson Attacks 'Satanic,' 'Antichrist' Presbyterians For Approving Marriage Equality

“Generations Radio” host Kevin Swanson lambasted the Presbyterian Church (USA) last week for voting to allow same-sex marriages to take place in their churches, which Swanson said means the denomination has teamed up with the Antichrist.

“The Presbyterian Church of the United States of America, a purported Christian church, a church that had something of a Christian heritage, but of course now rotten to the very core, has adopted the Neronic agenda and effectively joined the ranks of the Antichrist,” he said, referring to the Roman emperor Nero.

Swanson went on to accuse the church of “marrying dogs” and deciding to become the “Nero Association of America.”

He also worried that the Presbyterian Church in America, a more conservative denomination, may be next in line to adopt the Satanic attack of marriage equality: “I think it’s time to stop watching the PCUSA, I think it is time to start watching the PCA and the Southern Baptists because they’re next, so to speak, that’s where the battleground is moving. If you were Satan you’d go, ‘PCUSA is in the bag, now let’s go pay attention to the PCA and see if we can gain a little ground down here.’”

Lamenting that the United States is becoming an “apostate” nation, Swanson hailed Uganda’s extreme anti-gay laws.

“Praise be to God. He’s got something happening and if he’s going to abandon the West to their homosexuality, their imploding birth rates and their drying up and dying, then that’s the way it goes,” he said. “In Uganda, these guys are standing strong.”

Jesse Lee Peterson Explains That Marriage Can't Be A Partnership Because 'That Term Partner Came From The Homosexuals'

Tea Party activist Jesse Lee Peterson’s group BOND held a conference on “fatherhood and men” in Los Angeles earlier this month, at which Peterson moderated a panel discussion featuring radio host Morris O’Kelly, author and pundit Andrew Klavan, and Dr. Albert Gibbs, a clinical psychologist.

Gibbs seemed to have not known what he was getting into, and spent the entire discussion responding in disbelief to to Peterson’s unhinged questions.

For instance, at one point, Peterson asked Gibbs if a man should “be the head of his wife.” When Gibbs responded that he and his wife are partners in the relationship, Peterson told him that he shouldn’t use that word because “that term partner came from the homosexuals” and that any marriage based on partnership means “the man is weak.”

Bryan Fischer Warns Gay-Friendly Advertising Is 'Gonna Trigger A Blowback From Ordinary Americans'

Today, the Long Beach Press Telegram ran an article looking at the ways in which "companies are coming out of the closet with rainbow ads blazing to court lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender consumers."

As more and more companies have "launched marketing or social media campaigns advocating equality and acceptance" in recent years, the article also notes that not everyone is happy about it, quoting the penultimate anti-gay bigot Bryan Fischer who laughably warns that all this gay-friendly "garbage" is eventually going to "trigger a blowback from ordinary Americans":

Groups such as One Million Moms, however, have reacted negatively to LGBT-inclusive ads. The activist organization recently pushed supporters to protest against Hotwire and Nabisco’s Honey Maid and Teddy Grahams because of commercials that it said is an “attempt to normalize sin.”

The American people “will put up with a lot of garbage before they react,” said Bryan Fischer, spokesman for the nonprofit American Family Association, which maintains OneMillionMoms.com. But advertisers are tempting people’s patience and generosity, he said.

“I think eventually this LGBT advertising push is gonna trigger a blowback from ordinary Americans,” Fischer said. “I think that ordinary Americans are getting fed up with having the homosexual agenda shoved down their throats when they’re watching TV with their families. … What American families are gonna begin to react to is that they are recognizing that this is no longer about advertising a product. This is about propaganda for a sexually deviant lifestyle.”

Matt Barber Says Gay Rights Advocates Act 'Like A Horde Of Locusts'

Matt Barber warned Saturday that gay people have “swarm[ed] in like a horde of locusts” and “homosexualized the Boy Scouts.”

Barber was speaking with Mission America’s Linda Harvey, who told him that she had been outraged at the sight of Boy Scouts at the Columbus, Ohio, LGBT pride parade. Barber replied that he wasn’t surprised, since “the homosexual activist agenda” is “at the forefront of child corruption, that is a major part of their agenda.”

“It is absolutely reprehensible that they are exposing these children to this perversion, to this highly sexually charged, open acts of public displays of nudity, it is just absolutely appalling,” Barber said.

“It is simply disgusting to watch, it’s appalling to watch. They take every institution, they take things that are noble and good and they swarm in like a horde of locusts and they don’t care what damage is done because it helps further their agenda, then they fly away and what’s left is a husk of what was there to begin with.”

Samuel Rodriguez: New General In Global Anti-Gay Culture War

Last month the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference announced that it was merging with Conela, a Latin America-based organization, to become “the world’s largest Hispanic Evangelical association” claiming to represent more than 500,000 churches. As Kyle reported, Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver had encouraged the NHCLC’s Samuel Rodriguez to expand into Latin America after Staver’s visit to Peru, where he encouraged legislators to resist legal equality for gay people and same-sex couples.

The wildly anti-gay Matt Barber, also with Liberty Counselpraised the merger as a way for the NHCLC to join the Religious Right’s global war against LGBT equality:

"And so NHCLC," Barber said, "is really putting up a firewall to protect Latin America from, unfortunately, this cancerous invasion of immorality and [this] exporting [of] radical homosexual activism and radical pro-abortion activism, ultimately a culture of death.”

In a new interview with the Christian Post, Rodriguez uses similar language about creating a “firewall against moral relativism” and discloses some details about the merger and the combined group’s plans. Rodriguez is the CEO of the new merged NHCLC/Conela, while Conela’s former President Ricardo Luna is the executive director.

Rodriguez says Conela had already adopted NHCLC’s agenda and so the new group can go to work immediately building out an infrastructure in Latin America.

Conela already has been functioning with the Lamb's agenda and our 7 Directives, so it's a matter of creating infrastructure and amplifying the media and messaging platforms in Latin America.

If the question is whether or not we are going to be as active on the social political front in Latin America as we are in America, the answer is yes, again, not in the spirit of political advocacy, but in the spirit of prophetic activism.

Let me give you an example. Two weeks ago, in Baja California, the Mexico chapter director met with the governor of Baja California with hundreds of pastors united to discuss the issues of religious liberty, to discuss the issues of the 7 Directives as it pertains to Mexico.

He says they’re still working out the structural details.

We are in the board restructuring phase right now and a number of events taking place. One in October in Panama and there's one in December with 1,000 pastors in Mexico, there's one taking place in Europe at the beginning of the year.

My objective is to travel around Latin America with Ricardo, get to know the key influential pastors and leaders as we structure this global network and provide the resources that national pastors and regional leaders need to advance the Lamb's agenda.

Rodriguez, in spite of his media treatment as an evangelical moderate, made crystal clear that his organization is part of the Religious Right political movement when it reached a formal agreement to make the far-right Liberty Counsel the NHCLC’s official legislative and policy arm, and when Staver became a board member and chief legal counsel to the group.

Rodriguez’s rhetoric doesn’t seem to be changing.

Theologically speaking, we are on the same track. We are committed to biblical orthodoxy. We are committed to biblical truth. We are committed to making sure that truth is never sacrificed on the altar of expediency. We are committed to Billy Graham's message of salvation through Christ alone and through Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s March for Justice. So, we are committed to both righteousness and justice. We are evangelical. We do embrace the Manhattan Declaration. We would sign on to that.

Merging Billy Graham with Martin Luther King is the standard rhetoric of Rodriguez’s stump speech. Rodriguez has built allies among more progressive Christians by advocating for immigration reform and signing on to the Circle of Protection, a call from religious leaders not to sacrifice programs for the poor in order to reduce the deficit. But Rodriguez has also signed onto right-wing declarations that oppose progressive taxation, and embraced right-wing rhetoric about people being “enslaved” by government and “uber-entitlements.” And, of course, he is utterly opposed to marriage equality and legal access to abortion.

Rodriguez is connected to the dominionist New Apostolic Reformation and was a founding board member of the Oak Initiative, though he resigned after being confronted about the group’s anti-Muslim rhetoric and activities. He clearly has big ambitions for the new group.

"We are not drinking the proverbial Kool-Aid that Christianity is in decline, that this is the last hour of the Christian global narrative in a significant matter," Rodriguez told The Christian Post recently in an exclusive interview about the merger that took place on May 1. "We are not drinking the Kool-Aid. As a matter of fact, we have a very strong sense of optimism … we do believe the best is yet to come….

"It may very well be the largest Protestant network in the world, meaning that after the Catholic Church, this may very well be the largest Christian network organization in the world," he said. "I believe it speaks accolades to the growth of the Latino Christian demographic. I think it speaks accolades to Latino born-again Christians around the world because if this is the largest network in the world and now we are leading the charge of global evangelicalism."

Anti-Gay Activists Hopeful Hobby Lobby Will Lead To License To Discriminate

Anti-gay activists are rejoicing at the Supreme Court's decision in Hobby Lobby today, in part because they are hopeful that the decision will pave the way for one of their own policy goals: to use the religious liberty argument to push for broad exemptions for corporations from nondiscrimination laws.

Liberty Counsel's Matt Barber is hopeful that the decision bodes well for those trying to use religious freedom as a cloak to justify discrimination against LGBT people:

Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality has a similar take:

There may be reason for them to be optimistic. As SCOTUSblog pointed out, the majority's opinion pointedly leaves open "the question of whether the Government has a similarly compelling interest in preventing discrimination on the basis of sex or sexual orientation."

With respect to implications for other kinds of religious-based discrimination, the Court writes that racial discrimination in hiring will not be permitted under RFRA because "The Government has a compelling interest in providing equal opportunity to participate in the workforce without regard to race, and prohibitions on racial discrimination are precisely tailored to acheive [sic] that critical goal." Note that this leave open the question of whether the Government has a similarly compelling interest in preventing discrimination on the basis of sex or sexual orientation.

UPDATE: TPM has more on this.

UPDATE II: Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association has joined the chorus:

Barber: Gay Marriage Is 'The Brainchild' Of Satan

On today's "Faith and Freedom" radio broadcast, Mat Staver and Matt Barber cited recent remarks made by Pope Francis about how "the Devil wants to destroy" the family in order to declare that gay marriage is "the brainchild" of Satan himself.

"Marriage is the cornerstone institution of any healthy society," Barber asserted, "and so clearly the Father of Lies, the Enemy of the World hates marriage, wants to destroy marriage and so this concept of counterfeit marriage, of same-sex marriage, that is the brainchild, Mat, of none other than the Father of Lies himself."

Staver was in complete agreement, saying that gay marriage is an effort to "abolish all truth" as part of Satan's "attack on God."

"Ultimately, at the end of the day," Staver said, "it is a spiritual attack ... This is the bidding of the Devil. This is a spiritual assault on all of us who are made in the image of God":

Self-Aware Bobby Jindal Is Tired Of 'Candidates Who Tell Us One Thing Then Go Do Another'

In an interview earlier this month with the Iowa blog Caffienated Thoughts, noted paragon of consistency Bobby Jindal lamented about “candidates who tell us one thing then go do another” on judicial nominations.

Jindal was discussing recent court decisions in favor of marriage equality, which he suggested could be grounds for recalling judges. In 2012, Jindal joined the failed effort to recall an Iowa Supreme Court justice who had joined the court’s unanimous marriage equality ruling.

The Louisiana governor spent the first half of the interview deriding the Common Core education standards — which he previously backed — as a “federal takeover of education."

Late last month, Molly Smith of Cleveland Right to Life and the National Personhood Alliancehosted Brian Clowes, the director of education and research at the Catholic group Human Life International, to discuss not their mutual opposition to abortion rights but the topic of LGBT rights, which Smith believes is inseparable from the anti-choice fight. Over the course of 45 minutes, the two activists ran through an encyclopedia of anti-gay myths, including that gay men are prone to molest children, that people become gay because of abuse or neglect in their childhood, and that gay people have... Molly Smith, the director of Cleveland Right to Life, lost her group’s affiliation with National Right to Life Committee last year when she criticized Sen. Rob Portman for announcing his support for marriage equality after his son came out as gay. The national group chided Smith [pdf] for taking on “an advocacy agenda that includes issues beyond the right to life,” but her group pushed back, saying that “any politician, including Portman, who supports the break-up of the American family and supports the denial of a mother and father for children has forfeited the... In an interview with Cleveland Right to Life’s Molly Smith earlier this month, Mission America President Linda Harvey claimed that LGBT youth centers are in fact “homosexual sex centers” where “kids are being preyed upon by older homosexuals” and contracting HIV. Harvey reported that LGBT teens at these centers “go and socialize with out homosexuals who are college-age and some of the volunteers who are out homosexuals” which leads her to believe that “kids are being preyed upon by older homosexuals.” “The things that go on in the... Recently, the Human Rights Campaign released a report entitled "Exposed: The Export of Hate," which sought to expose the "network of American extremists who work tirelessly to undercut LGBT people around the world at every turn": They spew venomous rhetoric, outrageous theories, and discredited science. Some claim that LGBT people are responsible for the Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide, and the spread of HIV/AIDS. Others argue that LGBT people are luring away children, and that acceptance of LGBT people will lead to the destruction of families around the world. Some even... MORE

As we have noted several times before, Glenn Beck seems to make a very self-serving distinction between strangers who hold anti-gay views and are therefore bigots and haters and other people who hold those exact same views but just so happen to be Beck's friends, in which case they are amazing uniters and a true force for good. Nothing better demonstrates this disconnect that a segment from Beck's radio show today where he praised students at James Madison University for responding to an anti-gay preacher on campus by singing a hymn. The preacher, according to Beck, was telling the... MORE

Yesterday on “Trunews,” Family Research Council executive vice president Jerry Boykin said that President Obama has committed impeachable offenses but is getting off scot-free because the president, with help from the Muslim Brotherhood and LGBT advocates, is “brainwashing” Americans. Boykin said that Obama “orchestrated the invasion” of child migrants fleeing violence in Central America in order to “establish a voter bloc that would be in perpetuity would be a bloc for the Democrats.” “It is treasonous behavior,” Boykin said,... Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute, last heard yearning for the creation of a children’s book about kids celebrating the death of their gay parents, wrote today in BarbWire that there is no comparison between anti-miscegenation laws and marriage equality bans. Higgins wants everyone to know that unlike people who supported bans on interracial marriage, anti-gay activists like herself have “nothing to do with hatred.” (Of course, opponents of interracial marriage also insisted that they didn’t subscribe to racial animus and were simply acting on their...
