Santorum & Huckabee Join Anti-Gay Extremists In Vowing To Resist Marriage Equality Ruling

Likely GOP presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee have joined more than 200 anti-gay activists in signing a pledge vowing to resist any Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality.

The pledge, which was co-written by Mat Staver of the right-wing legal group Liberty Counsel and Deacon Keith Fournier, a Catholic activist who recently argued that marriage equality is quite literally an attack of the Devil, recycles the language of a similar document circulated by right-wing groups when the Supreme Court took up a previous set of marriage cases in 2013. Staver and a number of other activists introduced the current pledge at a press conference this morning.

Along with Huckabee and Santorum, signers include former House GOP leader Tom Delay; big players in the Religious Right including John Hagee, Samuel Rodriguez and Focus on the Family’s James Dobson; and fringe anti-gay activists including Peter LaBarbera, Matt Barber, Cindy JacobsLinda Harvey and Bradlee Dean.

Comparing any sweeping decision in favor of marriage equality to the Dred Scott case, the activists vow that they will not recognize such a decision and indicate that they would try to convince national and state executive branches not to enforce it.

The full text of the pledge:

We stand together in defense of marriage and the family and society founded upon them. While we come from a variety of communities and hold differing faith perspectives, we are united in our common affirmation of marriage.

On the matter of marriage, we stand in solidarity. We affirm that marriage and family have been inscribed by the Divine Architect into the order of Creation. Marriage is ontologically between one man and one woman, ordered toward the union of the spouses, open to children and formative of family. Family is the first vital cell of society, the first government, and the first mediating institution of our social order. The future of a free and healthy society passes through marriage and the family.

Marriage as existing solely between one man and one woman precedes civil government. Though affirmed, fulfilled, and elevated by faith, the truth that marriage can exist only between one man and one woman is not based on religion or revelation alone, but on the Natural Law, written on the human heart and discernible through the exercise of reason. It is part of the natural created order. The Natural Law is what Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., referred to as a higher law or a just law in his famous Letter from Birmingham Jail.

Marriage is the preeminent and the most fundamental of all human social institutions. Civil institutions do not create marriage nor can they manufacture a right to marry for those who are incapable of marriage. Society begins with marriage and the family.

We pledge to stand together to defend marriage for what it is, a bond between one man and one woman, intended for life, and open to the gift of children.

The institutions of civil government should defend marriage and not seek to undermine it. Government has long regulated marriage for the true common good. Examples, such as the age of consent, demonstrate such a proper regulation to ensure the free and voluntary basis of the marriage bond. Redefining the very institution of marriage is improper and outside the authority of the State. No civil institution, including the United States Supreme Court or any court, has authority to redefine marriage.

As citizens united together, we will not stand by while the destruction of the institution of marriage unfolds in this nation we love. The effort to redefine marriage threatens the essential foundation of the family.

Experience and history have shown us that if the government redefines marriage to grant a legal equivalency to same-sex couples, that same government will then enforce such an action with the police power of the State. This will bring about an inevitable collision with religious freedom and conscience rights. The precedent established will leave no room for any limitation on what can constitute such a redefined notion of marriage or human sexuality. We cannot and will not allow this to occur on our watch. Religious freedom is the first freedom in the American experiment for good reason.

Conferring a moral and legal equivalency to any relationship other than marriage between a man and a woman, by legislative or judicial fiat, sends the message that children do not need a mother and a father. As a policy matter, such unions convey the message that moms and dads are completely irrelevant to the well-being of children. Such a policy statement is unconscionable and destructive. Authorizing the legal equivalency of marriage to same-sex couples undermines the fundamental rights of children and threatens their security, stability, and future.

Neither the United States Supreme Court nor any court has authority to redefine marriage and thereby weaken both the family and society. Unlike the Legislative Branch that has the power of the purse and the Executive Branch which has the figurative power of the sword, the Judicial Branch has neither. It must depend upon the Executive Branch for the enforcement of its decisions.

As the Supreme Court acknowledged in the 1992 decision of Planned Parenthood v. Casey, its power rests solely upon the legitimacy of its decisions in the eyes of the people. If the decisions of the Court are not based on the Constitution and reason, and especially if they are contrary to the natural created order, then the people will lose confidence in the Court as an objective arbiter of the law. If the people lose respect for the Court, the Court’s authority will be diminished.

The Supreme Court was wrong when it denied Dred Scott his rights and said, “blacks are inferior human beings.” And the Court was wrong when Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote in Buck v. Bell, “three generations of imbeciles are enough,” thus upholding Virginia’s eugenics law that permitted forced sterilization. Shamefully, that decision was cited during the Nuremburg trials to support the Nazi eugenic holocaust.

In these earlier cases, the definition of “human” was at issue. Now the definition of “marriage” is at issue. The Constitution does not grant a right to redefine marriage — which is nonsensical since marriage intrinsically involves a man and a woman. Nor does the Constitution prohibit states from affirming the natural created order of male and female joined together in marriage.

We will view any decision by the Supreme Court or any court the same way history views the Dred Scott and Buck v. Bell decisions. Our highest respect for the rule of law requires that we not respect an unjust law that directly conflicts with higher law. A decision purporting to redefine marriage flies in the face of the Constitution and is contrary to the natural created order. As people of faith we pledge obedience to our Creator when the State directly conflicts with higher law. We respectfully warn the Supreme Court not to cross this line.

We stand united together in defense of marriage. Make no mistake about our resolve. While there are many things we can endure, redefining marriage is so fundamental to the natural order and the common good that this is the line we must draw and one we cannot and will not cross.

Tony Perkins: Impeach Supreme Court Justices Who Rule For Marriage Equality

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins spoke with Iowa-based radio host Jan Mickelson yesterday about the upcoming marriage case at the Supreme Court, which Perkins predicted will end with the court striking down bans on same-sex marriage across the country. Once this occurs, Perkins warned, “it will be open season on people of faith.”

He predicted that the court will issue a ruling similar to Roe v. Wade, further dividing Americans and contradicting “natural law.”

Mickelson suggested that if this happens, members of Congress should try to “remove” the Supreme Court’s “jurisdiction” over the marriage issue and “nullify” its decision, sending the message to the justices that “if you try it again we will impeach your sorry keisters.” Perkins heartily agreed: “I think you’re absolutely right.”

Mickelson also said that Justices Kagan and Ginsburg should recuse themselves from the case since they have both officiated weddings for same-sex couples, claiming that the two are trying to impose their religion of “secular progressivism” on the country.

“Why should a religious minority like Kagan or Ginsburg, I’m not talking about their Jewish background, I’m talking about their secular progressivism, their form of religion, why does their religion get a seat at the table and everybody else’s view gets vilified?” he asked.

Tony Perkins: Evolution Proves Homosexuality Is Wrong

Yesterday on “Washington Watch,” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins blasted President Obama and Hillary Clinton for “evolving” on the issue of marriage equality, prompting one listener to chime in and tell Perkins that he doesn’t believe in the theory of evolution anyway.

Perkins agreed with the caller’s take on evolution, stating that “the evidence is overwhelming” that evolution doesn’t occur. However, since Obama and Clinton believe that “we are constantly in this state of evolution,” Perkins said, then they should oppose gay rights.

“If you logically game this out, the idea that somehow same-sex marriage or same-sex attraction, homosexuality, could be the advancement of evolution,” he said, “well, it would be the end of the road. It is a dead-end street. You’re certainly not going to reproduce.”

Linda Harvey: Satan Tricking Supreme Court Into Backing Gay Marriage

On her daily “Mission America” radio bulletin today, Linda Harvey asked listeners to pray that the Supreme Court will rule against marriage equality advocates and that the justices will “not be swayed by the schemes of Satan to deceive, divide and destroy.”

But if Satan does get his way, Harvey said, people should be prepared to resist the “unconstitutional, unlawful decision” and protect the children who will be affected by the resulting “damage” of the ruling.

Harvey prayed that the Supreme Court marriage cases would ensure that the “eyes of America will open to the ungodliness of homosexuality and sexual sins of all kinds and we will turn from the elements in or culture that are driving this.”

Franklin Graham Furious That Marvel's Iceman Is Gay

Franklin Graham is outraged by the news that the character Iceman will come out as gay in a new issue of “X-men” issue. The Religious Right leader took to his Facebook page today to lament that Marvel is using Iceman in an attempt “to indoctrinate our young people to accept this destructive lifestyle.”

Graham has previously praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for criminalizing speech that is perceived as pro-gay propaganda” directed at young people.

Mike Huckabee Draws Connection Between Gay Marriage And ISIS Threat

In the same conference call today in which he claimed that gay marriage will outlaw religious freedom, Mike Huckabee suggested that the supposed threat to religious freedom posed by the gay rights movement is part of a broader attack on the rights of Christians, including anti-Christian violence.

When a pastor on the call, which was organized by the Family Research Council, asked Huckabee if the U.S. is facing a two-pronged threat of ISIS terrorist attacks and the “equally intense assault on marriage as defined by God,” Huckabee replied that the caller was “exactly right.”

“We’re seeing, certainly at the national level, internally this battle on marriage, but globally what we’re seeing is that there is an assault on the Christian faith in general,” Huckabee said, before warning that ISIS will soon “physically assault” Christians in America.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, who hosted the call, repeated his claim that gay rights efforts in the U.S. are linked to the murder of Christians by ISIS members in the Middle East.

“If we go silent on religious freedom here at home, I think that sends a message to the terrorists and the tyrants abroad that they are free to persecute our brothers and sisters in Christ,” Perkins said.

Huckabee said that Americans are closer than ever to losing their religious freedom because conservative Christians aren’t speaking out. “The other side is vocal and they sound like they are a lot more than they are but as a result they are winning battles that we should be winning,” he said.

Janet Porter: Gay Marriage To Blame For Noah's Flood, Will Usher In End Times

Faith 2 Action founder and anti-gay filmmaker Janet Porter has a message for the Supreme Court: Strike down bans on same-sex marriage, and the whole world may be doomed.

In her daily radio bulletin today, Porter once again claimed that gay marriage was responsible for Noah’s Flood.

She even suggested that such a move by the court could lead to the Second Coming: “If this is true, we are uniquely positioned for the return of Christ like no other time in history.”

Friendly Tip: Tell A Gay Couple They Are Going To Hell On Their Wedding Day

On his radio program on Friday, the American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer advised listeners that if they feel that they must attend a gay couple’s wedding, they should first send the couple a letter explaining why they do not support the marriage. At least one listener was not happy with this advice, and called into Family Research Council President Tony Perkins’ “Washington Watch” program last night to voice his disagreement with Fischer.

The caller, who identified himself as “Ricky,” told Perkins that he was “shocked” by Fischer’s suggestion since a true Christian would only attend a gay couple’s wedding in order to interrupt the ceremony and tell the participants that they are going to Hell.

“The only reason that any Christian would ever attend a homosexual wedding is when the preacher says, ‘Is there any objection to the wedding,’ you stand up and say, ‘Yes, according to the Bible, sodomy, you will burn in Hell for this.’ That is the only reason why any Christian would ever attend a sodomite wedding,” Ricky told Perkins.

Perkins replied by saying that Ricky brought up a “good point” but that he doubted that a gay couple would “invite people to raise any objections to it.” He added that silence in the church about divorce has diminished the significance of the institution of marriage, leading “to this wholesale redefinition of marriage as a result.”

Roy Moore Compares Anti-Gay Fight To Resisting Slavery & Segregation

Last week, the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), a small group associated with the National Organization for Marriage, presented Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore with its first “Letter from the Birmingham Jail Courage Award,” comparing Moore’s defiance of federal courts on marriage equality to Martin Luther King, Jr.’s civil disobedience during the civil rights movement.

Moore accepted the award by comparing federal court decisions in favor of marriage equality to the infamous Supreme Court decisions in Plessy v. Ferguson and Dred Scott. Reading a passage from the dissent in Plessy, Moore said it “seemed to ring very true in the issue before this country today about same-sex marriage and taking away the institution of marriage as between one man and one woman.”

The blog Left in Alabama captured the video:

After the presentation of the award, a reporter in the audience repeatedly asked Moore and CAAP President William Owens how they thought legalizing marriage for gay and lesbian couples would undermine marriage for straight people.

“It takes away the very definition ordained of God,” Moore responded. “A different definition destroys the definition of marriage. It’s not about the right to marry. There is a right to marry in our Constitution and the constitutions of the majority of the states, but it’s between a man and a woman.”

Owens took a different tack: “First of all, it’s not natural law and it’s immoral. It’s not natural for man to be married to a man. That is not natural. And that’s what this award is about. Dr. King emphasized it must line up with natural law. And if you believe that so much that a man should marry a man or a woman should marry a woman, go try it with electricity.”

Virginia 'Religious Liberty' Bill Sponsor Claims Opponents Are Discriminating Against Straight People

Virginia Del. Bob Marshall, the sponsor of a measure that would go beyond the state’s existing Religious Freedom Restoration Act to explicitly allow discrimination against LGBT people, complained in a radio interview earlier this month that business that oppose such bills are implying that “heterosexuals cannot be the best and the brightest.”

Falsely claiming that a controversial “religious liberty” measure recently debated in Indiana was no different from the RFRA already on the books in Virginia and other states, Marshall told talk radio host John Fredericks that he took issue with a letter Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe published in the Indianapolis Star inviting businesses to relocate to his state’s “open, inclusive and thriving business environment.”

Such rhetoric, Marshall complained, is derogatory to straight people: “When you actually look at the rhetoric, that you need these laws to hire the best and the brightest, that kind of like is a sweeping statement that says that heterosexuals cannot be the best and the brightest.”

Marshall also objected to claims that legislation like his would diminish the rights of LGBT people. “My question is, what possible rights can a person who has this inclination have that you don’t have right now?” he asked. “I mean, homosexuals go to public schools, they can go to colleges, they vote, they drive cars, they have businesses, they go to country clubs. I don’t know what else is needed.”

'Homosexual Armageddon!' Anti-Gay Activists Decry 'Satanic' Gay Rights Movement

Last month, far-right talk show pundit Pete Santilli hosted Harlem pastor James David Manning, notorious for his desire to “stone homos” and combat “Obama’s homo-demons,” to discuss a recent incident in which Manning claimed that “a sodomite” sent him a package filled with feces. “The sodomites are the most vicious, demonic, vile people,” Manning said.

“I’ve dealt with all kind of people, I’ve lived in the ghetto, I’ve been black all my life, I’ve been through prisons and jail, I’ve dealt with evil people, I’ve done things myself, I’ve dealt with Obama supporters, Obama lovers, Obama worshipers, I have never in my life encountered anybody has routinely evil as the sodomite. These are vicious people.”

Later, when Santilli asked him if the “promotion of sodomy” comes “directly from Satan himself,” Manning said that Satan created homosexuality.

“When we oppose the sodomites, this is not just a battle between the heterosexuals and the homosexuals,” Santilli responded, “this is a battle between good and evil, a battle between God and Satan himself. Sir, I appreciate you leading this charge in the ‘homosexual Armageddon,’ per se.”

Savage: Gay Rights Supporters Are 'The Nazis Of Today' Who Will 'Destroy The Human Race'

Furious that a large group of San Francisco-area Catholics have written a letter protesting the anti-gay rhetoric of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, conservative talk show host Michael Savage said last week that gay rights supporters are “the Nazis of today.”

Savage said that the Archbishop’s “narrow-minded critics” should just leave the Roman Catholic Church and stop “persecuting the rest of us.”

“This is how bullies operate,” he said. “They’re the bullies, the Nazis of today are these bullies.”

Savage, who is seemingly under the impression that LGBT equality will end all heterosexual relationships and curtail procreation, later claimed that gay rights advocates will ultimately “destroy the human race” by teaching “children filth and pollution.”

“They want to eliminate the difference between the sexes, they want you to believe that God made man and woman identical,” Savage said. “Go tell that to the duck in the pond. You people are so stupid that you’ve lost touch with reality. Somehow Donald Duck knows who Daisy Duck is. He doesn’t mount Billy Duck or there would be no eggs and no ducks. So Donald Duck has more brains than these hundred people.”

Former Texas GOP Chair: Gay Marriage 'Could Be The End Of America'

Cathie Adams, the former chairwoman of the Texas Republican Party who now leads the state chapter of Eagle Forum, told a Republican group yesterday that if Texas doesn’t defy a potential Supreme Court ruling in favor of marriage equality this year, it “could be the end of America.”

“On April 28, the U.S. Supreme Court is going to hear arguments on marriage, and we expect that they’re going to do the wrong thing,” she said in at the end of a speech on Islam to the Smith County Republican Women, which was posted on YouTube by an attendee.

Adams told the group that before the Supreme Court decision comes down, Texas must pass a proposed bill denying compensation to county clerks who issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. She said that while she admired Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore’s defiance of the federal courts on marriage equality, “Alabama is Alabama.”

“Texas holds a whole lot more power and a whole lot more authority,” she said, “and if we don’t come out and do something before April 28, this could be the end of America.”

“If we don’t get this done by April 28, I don’t know that we’re going to be able to hold back what is happening,” she said. “And folks, if you are a believer, you understand what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah. You understand. And we are on the threshold. “

“I mean, young people in schools, elementary all the way through universities, are being lied to that these people are ‘born this way,’” she continued. “No, they’re not. I’ve met friends who have come out of that lifestyle, I’ve met men who are willing and ready and begging for a bill to come up in the Texas legislature that they can testify in support of in order to defend the right of parents and defend the right of those individuals who choose to seek a way out of sexual perversion.”

James Dobson Does Not Understand Bisexuality: 'That's Orgies!'

Last year, we produced a report noting that, prior to the passage of the 2009 Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, anti-gay Religious Right activists issued all sorts of dire warnings about how the law would lead to Christianity being outlawed and pastors being tossed into prison. Five years after it was signed into law, none of their predictions had come true, but that is not stopping these same activists from continuing to issue the same sorts of absurd warnings.

Today, for the third day in a row, James Dobson dedicated his radio program to discussing the Supreme Court's upcoming marriage equality case with Mat Staver, Rick Scarborough, and Tim Wildom and, once again Scarborough warned that efforts to ban the use of "ex-gay" conversion therapy on minors will result in Christianity being outlawed and pastors being arrested and imprisoned.

Scarborough actually cited the 2009 Hate Crimes law in making his case, claiming that it was written so that any pastor who preaches against homosexuality can be charged as an accessory to a hate crime if someone who hears that sermon goes out an attacks somebody.

After admitting that this has not actually happened since the law was enacted, Scarborough warned that it will happen if conversion therapy for minors is banned.

"Once this law is passed, they're going to quickly mold around a whole legal strata of laws where they can begin coming after the more visible," he said. "They're going to do that with the most visible preachers, like us who are right now on the broadcast."

Later in the program, Dobson took issue with pastors "who are compassionate toward those who have attractions to same-sex individuals."

"I would like them to think, just for a moment, about 'LGBT,'" Dobson said. "The 'B' stand for bisexual! That's orgies!  Are you really going to support this?"

Mat Staver: Homosexuality Costs The Government Tens Of Billions Of Dollars

On his “Freedom’s Call” radio bulletin today, Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver discussed “the damage of homosexuality,” which he said affects everybody because “studies repeatedly show that homosexual conduct can result in significant cost to the community that encourages it.”

“Same-sex marriage leads to the devaluation of both a mother and a father, who each provide a unique contribution to the family,” Staver said. “Studies estimate that over the course of 26 years, our government spent more than $225 billion that could be directly attributed to the breakdown of the family culture and its resulting social consequences.”

After blaming gays for these societal ills, Staver said that gay people need to understand “that their actions have costly consequences to the community that surrounds them and to themselves.”

The anti-gay website BarbWire posted Staver’s audio bulletin accompanied by a photo of a woman crying on the floor.

C-Fam 'Mission' in Africa: Spreading Anti-Family Planning, Anti-Gay Gospel

There are a lot of challenges facing the people of Nigeria and Kenya, including campaigns of terror being waged by Islamist militants with Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab. But that’s not the focus of the “mission trip” for which C-Fam’s Austin Ruse is urgently raising money this week.

No, Ruse and the Center for Family and Human Rights (formerly known as the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute) are raising money to warn against “UN radicals and the Obama administration” and the “bloody, soul-destroying” consequences of family planning, reproductive choice, and LGBT equality:

As you read this, two C-Fam staffers are on the ground in Africa; one in Kenya and one in Nigeria.

They have traveled so far and into such dangerous situations in order to take our message to the African people:

·         NO UN-STYLE FAMILY PLANNING

·         NO GLOBAL RIGHT TO ABORTION

·         NO SAME-SEX MARRIAGE

The people of Africa are under severe pressure from UN radicals, the Obama administration, and the European Union to accept the ideology that has led to millions of abortion deaths and deaths from disease here in the United States and in Europe.

C-Fam is in Nigeria and Kenya this week to raise the alarm. We are there to let our African brothers and sisters know what the UN radicals and the Obama administration has planned for them and what the bloody, soul-destroying result will be.

While in Nigeria and Kenya our fearsome team will meet with the Catholic bishops, with activists and, we hope, government officials.

It’s not as if marriage equality is about to break out in either of these countries. Homosexual sex is a criminal act in Kenya, where last year a fringe party proposed a bill to allow the stoning of gay foreigners. Nigeria’s outgoing president signed a harsh anti-gay law last year that has led to persecution and violence against LGBT people.

Last year, Ruse energetically defended Russia’s anti-gay propaganda law and suggested that critics of the increasingly anti-democratic Vladimir Putin were “stuck in cold war amber” and consumed by a “visceral hatred of all things Russian. He even dismissed concerns about Putin’s attack on freedom of the press, saying Russians had no “historical memory” of that kind of freedom.

Pat Robertson: Gay People And Hillary Clinton Are Out To Destroy Freedom

On “The 700 Club” today, televangelist Pat Robertson once again charged that the gay rights movement is bent on destroying freedom, telling viewers that the gay community seeks to impose “totalitarian” socialism on America. He also implicated Hillary Clinton in the supposed gay plot to destroy liberty, claiming that she “wants to do away with the First Amendment, or at least part of it.”

Robertson was speaking about Indiana’s “religious freedom” law, which he falsely suggested was no different from the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

“Now this bunch of gays, what they have done is single out — for example, there will be a city and there will be five bakeshops, four out of the five will do wedding cakes for anybody that wants them, gay, lesbian, Muslim, Hindu, anybody, they’ll do cakes. One little company says, ‘No, we’re Christian, we won’t do homosexual wedding cakes.’ So they sue that one and force that one, because the idea now is not tolerance, it is conformity, they’re going to make you go along with their lifestyle whether you like it or not,” Robertson said.

“That’s not freedom, ladies and gentlemen, that is totalitarian coercion, and that’s what those people want. Liberals are not liberal, they are totalitarian socialists. They want the government to force everybody into their mold.”

Tony Perkins: Hillary Clinton Seeks 'The Complete Demolition Of The Natural Family'

In his daily “Washington Update” email to Family Research Council members last night, the group’s president, Tony Perkins, once again castigated Hillary Clinton for including two gay couples in her presidential campaign kickoff video.

Perkins, who said on his “Washington Watch” radio show yesterday that the inclusion of the gay couples in the video shows that Clinton’s “definition of family is a bit different” from his, wrote in the email that Clinton’s aim is “the complete demolition of the natural family.”

“Over her long career as a senator and America’s top diplomat, Hillary Clinton has been a global advocate for abortion-on-demand and the complete demolition of the natural family, making her anything but an ally of children or the family,” Perkins wrote. “Even her presidential announcement video made a point of elevating the homosexual agenda above other key American priorities.”

Attacking Clinton as “out of touch” for focusing on “radical fringe issues” like gay rights, Perkins demanded that GOP presidential hopefuls take a vocal stance on social issues and “contend with those in far away [sic] places trying to kill people because of their religion — while also contending with those here at home who want to kill the freedom of religion.”

Over her long career as a senator and America’s top diplomat, Hillary Clinton has been a global advocate for abortion-on-demand and the complete demolition of the natural family, making her anything but an ally of children or the family. Even her presidential announcement video made a point of elevating the homosexual agenda above other key American priorities. “I’m getting married this summer to someone I really care about,” says one man in the video before the camera pans to him holding hands with another man. “When families are strong,” viewers hear Mrs. Clinton saying, “America is strong.” In the next frame, another same-sex couple is featured. Proving once again just how out of touch the Left is with mainstream America, the ad ignores the military and the global threat in favor of radical fringe issues.

If the two minutes of Hillary’s YouTube announcement demonstrated anything, it’s that Republicans need a candidate who is in clear contrast to the Obama-Clinton agenda -- not just in rhetoric, but in record. After the failures of the last two Republican bids for the White House, a number of GOP hopefuls seem anxious to verify their conservative credentials on a full-portfolio of issues. Obviously, they’ve gotten the message that voters are not looking for a Republican, they are looking for a conservative leader who has the courage to act and undo what this administration has done. We need a leader who will not apologize for America’s exceptionalism, but embrace the source of it. And we need a leader who will contend with those in far away [sic] places trying to kill people because of their religion -- while also contending with those here at home who want to kill the freedom of religion. In this year’s field, there is reason for optimism with candidates who have fought for children and families.

Conservative Columnist Warns God Will Destroy America If Supreme Court Rules For Marriage Equality

In a column for Matt Barber’s outlet BarbWire today, Michael Bresciani expounds on an amicus brief submitted by a number of Religious Right groups warning the Supreme Court that a ruling in favor of marriage equality could bring God’s judgment down on America. Bresiciani approvingly cites the amicus brief, agreeing that the Bible “clearly warns that the practice and promulgation of homosexuality and other perversions will draw God’s disfavor and in time his severe judgment on this and any nation.”

Should LGBT rights activist succeed with their “demonic plan” at the Supreme Court, he warns, “there will be absolutely nothing left to block an impending and imminent judgment against the United States from a very patient God who after all, will not be mocked.”

Bresciani concludes by assuring readers that he does not hate gay people because “the only thing real Christians hate about the gays is the fact that more creatures created in the image of God will be cast into an eternal hell.”

The Bible clearly warns that the practice and promulgation of homosexuality and other perversions will draw God’s disfavor and in time his severe judgment on this and any nation. Those who take their bibles seriously cannot wait until others take them seriously – it will be too late by then.

There is little left for the LGBT to disrupt in America and the gay agenda’s public relations activists have clobbered the nation through the media, the state legislatures and it is now looming at the door of the Supreme Court to bring marriage in line with its demonic plan.

Should they succeed there will be absolutely nothing left to block an impending and imminent judgment against the United States from a very patient God who after all, will not be mocked

Having spent the last ten years intensely focusing on America’s waltz into the deepest levels of moral depravity and reprobation, I have often wondered why God drives us to warn a people who turn a deaf ear to its best voices for good, like those listed above. It seems that the voices are called into play only so in the end no one will call for the excuse that they were not warned. It seems that they will be granted what they want while ignoring the approach to losing all that they already have. Such futility is not new to nations throughout history, but now it’s coming to a neighborhood near you.

America has ignored every warning and message of those sent to her and is about to slam headlong into what I describe as the “40 Year Factor.”

I can’t say what that means in every detail, but I can say what I have seen and heard and that starts with an economic collapse that will parallel and go beyond the dust bowl days and the stock market crash of 1929. It will be a time of “extreme poverty and scarcity” such as never seen in our history.

The mighty push against all things Biblical, constitutional, rational, moral and decent is about to cross a line marked “no return allowed.”

The use of the word “homophobia’ is subterfuge being used as the last day’s PC war cry for anyone who does not want to face the serious nature and consequences of their own worst behaviors.

Not wanting to bake cakes for gays is nothing when considering that Christians are called upon to refrain from even mentioning what gays do in secret – why would they consent to promote or celebrate such behaviors. To wit:

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” (Eph 5: 11-12)

Regardless of which way these legal battles turn out one thing is clear the only thing real Christians hate about the gays is the fact that more creatures created in the image of God will be cast into an eternal hell.

Concern and sadness about the loss of their lives and futures is something that compassionate believers all share because it is not the will of God that anyone should perish. If it is not God’s will then it is not our will.

Christian Nation Activist David Lane Asks Pastors To Pray For Anti-Marriage-Equality 'Miracle'

Christian-nation activist and would-be presidential kingmaker David Lane is urging pastors affiliated with his American Renewal Project to preach about “Biblical Marriage” on Sunday, April 26, and hold a two-hour prayer service on Tuesday, April 28, the day the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on the constitutionality of state bans on same-sex couples getting married.

Lane’s email letter asserts that Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan should recuse themselves since they “have performed homosexual marriage ceremonies,” but that they have refused to because “secularists lack virtue.” Lane, who advocates for making the Bible a primary textbook in public schools, blames Supreme Court decisions upholding church-state separation for a “complete moral breakdown in America.”

America has become drugged by the cup of Secularism -- a false and wicked religion -- articulated in the Humanist Manifesto, a creed that denied supernatural relevation, and so the revelation of God in Jesus Christ. The "religion" -- as it was called in the Humanist Manifesto (1933) -- was imposed by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1963, an 8-1 decision, in Abington School District v. Schempp. Lone dissenting Justice Potter Stewart prophesied, "...[the decision to remove the Bible from public schools] led not to true neutrality with respect to religion, but to the establishment of a religion of secularism."

That proud and tragic decision has given birth to a complete moral breakdown in America, those doing this to our country must be held accountable. The wise Solomon says, "Where there is no revelation the people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction."(Proverbs 29:10) America's Founders laid the foundation on biblical virtue, His Word. Udo W. Middleman, president of the Francis A. Schaeffer Foundation says, "He has told us in his Word how we should live and order our lives, set our priorities, and what sense to make of being human." A Christian nation once, America is now ruled by an oligarchy, a majority of nine, representing, "Vice stalking in virtue's garb."

God defines sin, not the U.S. Supreme Court. Having removed the fixed point in order to judge in 1963, the esteemed Justices, in hubris, decided to challenge God's rule, God's throne, and God's rightful Honor. America is on the verge of learning something that can be learned in no other way, rebellion against God brings consequences. There is no safety in distance from God.

Like many Religious Right leaders, Lane blames the state of America on the fact that pastors have not been preaching or praying aggressively enough:

Why are not the churches of America filled with prayer services, led by senior pastors, asking God for mercy of what we have allowed to a once Christian nation? Who will, by faith, help America's pastors track down the weapons of warfare? Prayer and tears are the Christians weapons of war, very little cannonading and bombardment appears to be occurring in America's sanctuaries today.

Lane seems to think that, without divine intervention, the Supreme Court is likely to rule that marriage bans for same-sex couples violate the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

For those of the flock who cannot attend the prayer service led by the shepherd, please ask that they stop where they are and pray; we need a miracle.

Staver and a number... MORE

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins spoke with Iowa-based radio host Jan Mickelson yesterday about the upcoming marriage case at the Supreme Court, which Perkins predicted will end with the court striking down bans on same-sex marriage across the country. Once this occurs, Perkins warned, “it will be open season on people of faith.” He predicted that the court will issue a ruling similar to Roe v. Wade, further dividing Americans and contradicting “natural law.” Mickelson suggested that if this happens, members of Congress should try to “remove”... MORE

However, since Obama and Clinton believe that “we are constantly in this state of evolution,” Perkins said, then they... MORE

On her daily “Mission America” radio bulletin today, Linda Harvey asked listeners to pray that the Supreme Court will rule against marriage equality advocates and that the justices will “not be swayed by the schemes of Satan to deceive, divide and destroy.” But if Satan does get his way, Harvey said, people should be prepared to resist the “unconstitutional, unlawful decision” and protect the children who will be affected by the resulting “damage” of the ruling. Harvey prayed that the Supreme Court marriage cases would ensure that the “... MORE

Franklin Graham is outraged by the news that the character Iceman will come out as gay in a new issue of “X-men” issue. The Religious Right leader took to his Facebook page today to lament that Marvel is using Iceman in an attempt “to indoctrinate our young people to accept this destructive lifestyle.” Graham has previously praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for criminalizing speech that is perceived as pro-gay “propaganda” directed at young people. In the same conference call today in which he claimed that gay marriage will outlaw religious freedom, Mike Huckabee suggested that the supposed threat to religious freedom posed by the gay rights movement is part of a broader attack on the rights of Christians, including anti-Christian violence. When a pastor on the call, which was organized by the Family Research Council, asked Huckabee if the U.S. is facing a two-pronged threat of ISIS terrorist attacks and the “equally intense assault on marriage as defined by God,” Huckabee replied that the caller was “exactly right.... She even suggested that such a move by the court could lead to the Second Coming: “If this is true, we are uniquely positioned for the return of Christ like no other time in history.” MORE
