Eagle Forum: Government Is Constitutionally Required To Fight 'Homosexual Conduct'

Eagle Forum’s Virginia Armstrong, the head of the group’s Court Watch Project, today makes the novel argument that the U.S. Constitution doesn’t protect the rights of LGBT people but in fact requires the government to fight “homosexual conduct” in “every legitimate way possible.”

In an article published on Eagle Forum’s website, Armstrong argues that advances in LGBT equality prove “that America is indeed in the ‘danger zone’ and is in dire need of a massive ‘straightening up process.’”

She then argues that the AIDS epidemic shows that “homosexual conduct is what is harmful to gays and lesbians to the degree that governments are not only constitutionally allowed, but constitutionally required, to fight such conduct in every legitimate way possible.”

All emphasis is Armstrong’s:

Has America bent over so far backwards in our spiritual, moral, and constitutional life that we are in danger of “breaking”? This question is central to our current series of Court Watch Briefings. The question has been precipitated by America’s Culture War and echoes the anguished cry of the Father in the famous musical production, “Fiddler on the Roof,” who felt that revolutionary changes in his world were pushing him to the “breaking point.”

We are proving that America is indeed in the “danger zone” and is in dire need of a massive “straightening up process.” Nothing more clearly demonstrates this fact than the recentsame-sex marriage decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court - Perry v. Hollingsworth and Windsor v. U.S.

These statistics bring into bolder relief than ever the fatal flaws of Perry/Windsor . HIV and AIDS is a pandemic , far worse than other such health threats which have sent governments and media around the world into a veritable apoplexy, accompanied by demands for the most severe action possible to stem those threats. Yet, federal (and, now, state) judges are demanding constitutional protections for the conduct which is most responsible for the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Furthermore, Judge Vaughn Walker’s “Finding of Fact” that religious opposition to homosexual conduct “harms gays and lesbians” and is constitutionally protected is so incongruent with reality as to be laughable, if it were possible to laugh about such an adjudicative disaster. The reality, of course, is that the exact opposite is true –homosexual conduct is what is harmful to gays and lesbians to the degree that governments are not only constitutionally allowed, but constitutionally required , to fight such conduct in every legitimate way possible. This example alone illustrates how upside down is Walker’s blast that “harm to homosexuals” results from religious opposition. This falsehood converts a particularly pernicious value judgment into an adjudicative fact given great weight in pro-homosexual court decisions. One of the worst blows to reason, morality, and the Judeo-Christian worldview is the speed with which the Perry/Windsor poison has poured through America’s legal veins…

Gays Are Possessed By 'Putrid Smelling' Demons That Even Pigs Won't Tolerate

Bert Farias, founder of Holy Fire Ministries, had a piece published on Charisma Magazine's website today in which he begged gay people to "please do not get upset with me" for trying to tell them "the raw, naked truth about homosexuality," promising that if they will just listen to him, they "will see that I am actually trying to help you."

And Farias' message of love is that "being gay is a choice" and choosing to be gay puts one at risk of engaging in "unclean practices that open up a person to the demonic."

And once that happens, gays become possessed by stinky demons that even pigs won't tolerate:

Here's the raw, naked truth: Homosexuality is actually a demon spirit. It is such a putrid smelling demon that other demons don't even like to hang around it. A genuine prophet of God told me that the Lord allowed him to smell this demon spirit, and he got sick to his stomach. And yet as humans, many embrace this demon. Yes, you heard me right. Being gay is demonic.

There is an account in the Bible where Jesus casts out 2,000 demons out of a man. The demons came out screaming and begged Jesus to send them into the pigs. The pigs didn't want them, so they ran down a steep hill and were drowned in the sea. Pigs have more sense than some humans. People embrace homosexual demons, but the pigs would rather die than be possessed with demons.

"Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So all the demons begged Him, saying, 'Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.' And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea" (Mark 5:11-13).

From a biblical perspective the rise of homosexuality is a sign that a society is in the last stages of decay. And here is another terrible truth: As people continue to reject God, He gives them over to increasingly immoral and self-destructive activities. There are destructive physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences resulting from homosexual behavior.

All human beings know deep in their hearts that God exists, and they all know something of His moral standards. But people's unrighteousness leads them to suppress the truth and leads them to believe false views of God and the Bible, and they twist the scriptures to their own destruction, because they know that the truth would require them to repent.

Allow me to school you in Basic Sex 101. If being gay was natural, two men or two women could produce a baby, but they can't. Their sexual reproductive organs do not complement each other therefore making it impossible for them to procreate. It can never be natural for two men or two women to get married and live together. Our culture's acceptance and celebration of gay behavior will never make it right. Wrong is wrong no matter how many people are for it. And right is right no matter how many people are against it. Homosexuality is not new. It's been around for thousands of years. It's as old as the devil himself.

AFA Dismisses Equal Rights For Gay People By Citing Small Population

The American Family Association simply doesn’t understand why more and more Americans support equal rights for the gay community when, according to a recent study, just over two percent of people openly identified as gay, lesbian or bisexual … because as everybody knows that rights are determined by population size!

AFA head Tim Wildmon, in a statement about the study today, criticized the gay community as “an extremely small population” that is bent on “inundating television shows” and “bullying” Americans until they are “given special preferences in the law.”

American Family Association Says Efforts to Normalize Unhealthy Behavior Is Pushed by Extremely Small Population

Even though the American public thinks the figure is much higher, less than 3 percent of the U.S. population identify themselves as gay, lesbian or bisexual, according to the first large-scale government survey measuring Americans’ sexual orientation, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Today in America, we are changing millennia-old marriage laws, inundating television shows with multiple homosexual characters and pushing the public to embrace as accepted and healthy the behavior of less than 3 percent of the population,” said Tim Wildmon, President of the American Family Association. “Our culture, through the bullying, pressure and coercion of a lobby motivated by an extremely small population in America, has become focused on advancing the homosexual lifestyle as normal and even ideal.”

So far, those aiming to mainline homosexuality have done a good job tricking Americans into thinking the homosexual population is much higher than it really is.

“There are very significant health risks associated with homosexuality that the public isn’t aware of,” Wildmon added. “We care about the health of all Americans, including people who are inclined to engage in homosexual behavior. People need to be informed that the homosexual lifestyle is not a benign alternative to heterosexual behavior. There are serious health risks, which is why we at AFA oppose homosexual behavior being normalized, as well as homosexual individuals being given special preference in the law.”

'America, Where Perversion Is The New Apple Pie'

Right-wing blogger Michael Bresciani is out today with yet another column castigating President Obama’s war on “our moral beliefs and our southern border,” warning that Obama is “conscripting” women, gay people, immigrants and terrorists in his plan to bring down America.

He is especially wary of Obama’s gay “elite forces” who seek to turn America into a country “where perversion is the new Apple Pie.”

“Homosexuals are conscripted by the war efforts of the media, Hollywood and the gay-loving President who is the new rainbow adorned Abraham Lincoln and has signed more than one emancipation proclamation for the poor oppressed slaves of the old morality, the Bible and all traditional forms of decency,” he said.

“When not fighting for the right to be perverted, they can furlough to use their members to assault each other in that region of the human anatomy normally used to service the evacuation of human excrement.”

Call it the war on women, homosexuals, disenfranchised, poor and blacks, criminals who seem overburdened with harsh sentences or the armies of children, gang members and drug cartel that just can’t handle life in a Central American country any longer and we are off to Obama’s declared war for 2014 – it could be called the ‘Great Borders War of 2014.”

It is a war of both our moral borders and our southern border and it will determine the very future of our nation.

Should we mention the Muslim terrorists who are like the neighbors kids in a sleep-over who have joined the tantrum and also have gained the full attention of mother Obama as he quells their rage by telling them he will deny them nothing?

Homosexuals are conscripted by the war efforts of the media, Hollywood and the gay-loving President who is the new rainbow adorned Abraham Lincoln and has signed more than one emancipation proclamation for the poor oppressed slaves of the old morality, the Bible and all traditional forms of decency.

Now, they are urged to join up and fight, plenty of parades and colorful fanfare to send them off with to their respective battle fronts. They are members of the elite forces sent to defeat the evil homophobes, preachers and naysayers.

When not fighting for the right to be perverted, they can furlough to use their members to assault each other in that region of the human anatomy normally used to service the evacuation of human excrement. It’s all good – and mother Obama has given full assurance that it all part of the changed America, where perversion is the new Apple Pie.

Should the eruption of war or threats of war occur outside the new pinkish borders of the nation – not to worry, The Golfer in Chief and the First Lady of Lavish Vacations have set an example for us all – ignore them.

Louisiana Activist Waxes Nostalgic For Days When Homosexuality Was Considered A Disorder

Gene Mills of the Louisiana Family Forum, who is campaigning against a non-discrimination ordinance in the city of Baton Rouge, said on Friday that the ordinance could potentially make pedophilia a legally protected sexual orientation.

Speaking on the Family Research Council radio show “Washington Watch,” Mills also claimed that that heterosexuality is the only sexual orientation, “and other behaviors are considered disordered. Because of the sexual, political agenda of many of these activists, they’ve been successful at redefining those disorders and classifying them as orientations.”

“Washington Watch” host Craig James also dismissed the ordinance because “less than three percent, I believe the exact number is 2.3 percent of the people in this country identify themselves with the LGBT community, yet it is a far greater feeling that they are out there in greater force.”

Matt Barber: Anti-Gay Activists Facing 'Water Hoses' Like MLK

Is Matt Barber secretly a gay rights advocate who has gone under deep cover to make the Religious Right look absolutely ridiculous?

It seems that might be the case, judging by his latest column, titled “The Coming Christian Revolt.”

Featuring a picture of African American demonstrators being shot with water hoses behind a superimposed rainbow image, Barber writes that the anti-gay Right is the direct descendant of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement, and must similarly engage in “widespread civil disobedience” in the face of water hoses.

From behind a smoking sniper rifle high atop his ivory tower peers the secular “progressive.” He surveys his many victims, strewn across the American landscape below and mockingly sneers, “War on Christianity? What war on Christianity?”

He then resumes shooting, all the while insisting that those uncooperative Christians who scatter for cover behind the word of God and the U.S. Constitution somehow suffer from a “persecution complex” (the baker, the photographer, the florist, the innkeeper, the Christian school administrator, etc.).

For every law, regulation, activist court ruling or presidential edict that demands Christians violate their sincerely held religious beliefs and adopt a postmodern, moral relativist way of life, there increases, in exact proportion, the likelihood of widespread civil disobedience – disobedience of the sort we haven’t seen since the civil rights struggles of the 1950s and ’60s.

Indeed, if, in the spirit of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., we, his fellow Christian travelers, must again face the water hoses, then face them we shall.

While there are those who will give way out of fear, weakness or a desire to conform to the world, there are many others who will not. Christians must peacefully come together, lock arms and redouble our resistance to evil.

Even when that evil is adorned with the presidential seal and signature.

Klingenschmitt: 'Penalty' For Homosexuality Is ‘Spiritual Death’

Gordon Klingenschmitt, who is the GOP nominee for a state legislative seat in Colorado, is obviously not pleased with the Colorado county clerks who have started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

On his “Pray In Jesus Name” program yesterday, Klingenschmitt reminded the clerks that “homosexuality is not only an abomination, not only worthy of death,” but comes with a “penalty” that amounts to “spiritual death.”

“They say, ‘Oh, it’s all about love.’ No, it’s about lust, it’s about selfishness,” he said. “They don’t care about the other person, they want self-gratification for themselves, contrary to their own nature, contrary to what God designed for them. And they receive in themselves the penalty for that error.”

“The penalty for that sin is not just STDS or some biological curse, not just AIDS, but they receive into themselves the demonic spirit that rules their hearts, and with that comes ultimately the consequence of spiritual death.”

Klingenschmitt adds that he is just the “messenger” when he tells gay people that “you’re going to hell.”

Bryan Fischer Is Sick Of Being Bossed Around By A 'Little Tiny Minority' Of Belligerent, Intolerant Gay Bullies

According to a survey released by the Centers for Disease Control today, less than three percent of the US population identifies as gay, lesbian, or bi-sexual, which prompted Bryan Fischer to declare that it is bizarre that American society has allowed itself to be forced into accepting homosexuality by a "tiny little minority" of belligerent, intolerant bullies.

"They are belligerent, they are intolerant, they are bullies," Fischer declared, "and we have been meekly capitulating to this tiny little cluster of belligerent bullies now for a couple of decades and it's time that we stop with all of that!"

Fischer says Christians need to stand up and declare that they will not accept this "sexual deviancy" by urging gays "to turn yourself over to God."

"It's almost comical," he continued, "that we have allowed these people to have so much power in our culture where they can force their deviant lifestyle into the public sphere and compel so many sectors of society to recognize this and to celebrate it as some kind of normal lifestyle":

Family Research Council Attacks 'Burger Queen' For 'Catering To A Fringe Group' During LGBT Pride Month

The Family Research Council is adding its voice to growing outrage from the Religious Right over Burger King’s unveiling of the LGBT Pride Month-themed Proud Whopper.

In the prepared text of FRC president Tony Perkins’ daily radio bulletin, posted on the group’s website today, Perkins asks: “Is it Burger King or Burger Queen?

When Burger King says "have it your way," they aren't just talking about food. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. Is it Burger King or Burger Queen? Customers in San Francisco aren't so sure after the chain's new Proud Whopper. Local stores unveiled the rainbow menu to coincide with LGBT week. Although nothing's different about the burger, executives hope the wrapper will make a statement. But even in liberal San Francisco, Time reports, some customers have a beef with the burgers. "If that's what they're gonna do," said one person, "they won't [have] my business anymore." That's the beauty of the free market. If Burger King wants to cater to a fringe group at the expense of other customers, that's their choice. Just like it's Cracker Barrel's decision to support natural marriage and the celebrities who advocate it. The problem is those companies who say they believe in debate and then try to silence it. That's the biggest whopper of them all.

In his audio version of the remarks, Perkins dropped the swipe at “Burger Queen,” but still suggested that the fast-food company will face boycotts for supporting LGBT Pride Month.

Peter LaBarbera: Evangelicals Who Don't Fight Gay Rights are 'Unwilling to Confront The Realities Of Evil'

On a segment of “Sandy Rios in the Morning” last week, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality president Peter LaBarbera lamented the plight of the lowly Religious Right activist.

An expert on the evils of the LGBT movement, LaBarbera warned Rios that lawmakers, businesses and citizens are increasingly beholden to the demands of the “homosexual lobby,” regardless of their religious convictions. While LaBarbera and Rios wasted no time directing barbs at President Obama and pro-equality Democrats, LaBarbera mostly reserved his scorn for religious leaders and establishment Republicans for allegedly “bowing to the pressures” of gay rights advocates.

Rankled by the supposed lack of opposition to LGBT rights within the conservative movement, LaBarbera wondered, “I’m not sure anymore if evangelical Christians can actually be effective cultural warriors, so many are unwilling to confront the reality of evil, which is the promotion of the sin movement.” He contrasted the vigor of the gay rights movement, “which is implacable, which is always moving forward,” with the Religious Right, which he said is waging the “politics of defeatism.”

The idleness of conservative leaders, LaBarbera argued, has paved the way for the “special treatment” of LGBT people who believe that “laws don’t apply to them.”

Discussing recent LGBT Pride events, he also noted that while pornography, adultery and promiscuity are still considered taboo, the LGBT community is celebrated, perhaps, he posits, to “overcompensate” for knowing in their “heart of hearts” that homosexuality is also sinful.

Bob Vander Plaats Links Terrorism, Gay Rights, Pot Legalization

Bob Vander Plaats, president of the Iowa-based Religious Right group The Family Leader, held a revival event yesterday that also happened to be a good marketing opportunity for his new book about the “urgent call for revival” in America.

Vander Plaats introduced the event — which also featured a Q & A with Chuck Norris and a performance by the Christian rock band the Newsboys — by showing a video of the “darkness” in America that he identified as calling for a spiritual revival. Featured in the video are images of terrorists attacks and mass shootings….along with images of same-sex weddings, the Boy Scouts’ admittance of gay members, Justice Anthony Kennedy, gambling and rallies on behalf of legalizing marijuana.

Vander Plaats mentioned at the end of the video that many of the national leaders he frequently speaks with share these concerns. He’ll have a chance to discuss them in more depth next month, when GOP leaders including Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Tim Scott come to Iowa for Vander Plaat’s annual Family Leadership Summit.

Farah: Anti-Gay Christians Will Face Persecution 'Unlike Anything Previously Experienced In America'

WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah is not pleased with the recent Politico Magazine story on the increasing embrace of LGBT rights among evangelical Christians. In a column this weekend, Farah took issue with Politico’s description of conservative evangelicals’ “longstanding hostility toward gay people,” calling the description “hellishly bigoted.”

Gay-affirming churches are the “ones who are truly hostile and unloving to homosexuals,” he argues, and “are actually condemning them to death.”

Meanwhile, Farah contends, anti-gay Christians will soon face “persecution and martyrdom” that will be “unlike anything previously experience [sic] in America.”

I just read a Politico magazine piece that demonstrates why biblically minded Christians are becoming the targets of real bigotry and will, almost assuredly, soon be the victims of real persecution – unlike anything previously experience in America.

Titled “Evangelicals are changing their minds on gay marriage,” the article, written by a religion reporter for the Orange County Register, focuses on “The Reformation Project,” which is described as “a nationwide network of pro-gay evangelicals committed to ending their church’s longstanding hostility toward gay people.”

Let me first say that this is a hellishly bigoted comment by people who claim to be fighting bigotry.

Today, in the popular culture, it’s cool to be “gay” – a word that has been hijacked by a political movement that embraces sin.

It may be popular to embrace sin today, but those who do so in the name of Christ are the ones who are truly hostile and unloving to homosexuals. They are actually condemning them to death.

There is nothing loving about rationalizing sin as an alternative lifestyle.

I don’t doubt that there is a new movement within the church that takes this upside-down view of what Christianity is all about.

But notice the way those who disagree with the view – all those who follow biblical Christianity – are portrayed: They are “hostile to gay people.”

Where does that kind of thinking lead?

It leads only one place – bigotry and persecution.

This movement is not about rejecting bigotry as it claims. It is about creating a new form of bigotry – against those with sincerely held, biblically supported worldviews.

Larry Pratt And The Radical Right

Rolling Stone is out today with a lengthy profile of Gun Owners of America executive director Larry Pratt, who, as we we frequently note, continues to hold a large amount of sway among Republicans in Congress despite his ongoing record of extremism.

Reporter Alexander Zaitchik digs into Pratt’s history of allying with anti-government militia groups and the anti-Semitic, racist Christian Identity movement. On the afternoon of the Oklahoma City bombing, Pratt implied that Timothy McVeigh had been doing God’s work against a government that was behaving “like a beast.”

Zaitchik also notes Pratt’s early forays into radical Religious Right activism, including calling for a quarantine of AIDS victims in the early days of the epidemic.

The whole profile is worth a read, but here are a few excerpts.

Along with his gun work, Pratt was involved during the Reagan years in a wide range of social and foreign policy issues. He was a member of the Council for National Policy, a think tank bringing together leading conservative figures to generate policy for the new administration. In 1980, he founded the Committee to Protect the Family Foundation, which raised money for anti-gay campaigns and assisted the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue with legal defenses. In 1986, during the depths of the AIDS crisis, Pratt bought ads around the country highlighting a D.C. law forbidding health insurance companies from denying coverage and raising rates for people who test positive for HIV. "We don't think AIDS should have civil rights," Pratt told the Los Angeles Times. "The law is a dangerous and outrageous precedent for other wacko legislators to follow. [Those who support it should be] held accountable for voting to support homosexual privileges."

The following year, Pratt called for the quarantine of people suffering from AIDS. "Our judges coddle criminals instead of caring for the victims of crime," he wrote in a Family Foundation fundraising letter. "They've chased God out of our schools, defended abortions…and now they are trying to infect us and kill us with strange and horrible diseases."

The bloodshed and the armed standoff [at Ruby Ridge] that followed catalyzed groups across the far right into action. This activity would soon produce a national militia movement for which Ruby Ridge functioned as a modern-day Alamo. The most important event in this development was a three-day meeting convened in October 1992 by Christian Identity leader Pete Peters. Christian Identity maintains that Aryans are the true Jews, that blacks are a pre-Adamic subhuman species, and that a race war is coming, after which whites will establish a "Christian government." These were the baseline ideas uniting the 150 far-right leaders who answered Peters' call to action at a YMCA hall in Estes Park, Colorado. Among those present was Larry Pratt. According to media reports, Pratt railed against the 14th Amendment and delivered one of his favorite lines: "The Second Amendment ain't about duck hunting."

According to Leonard Zeskind's report from the conference, published in a November 1995 Rolling Stone story, Pratt's fellow speakers consisted mostly of extremists with little mainstream profile or Washington connections, people like Aryan Nations leader Richard Butler and Texas Klansman Louis Beam. Pratt represented a link between these worlds and the rightward edge of the conservative establishment. Pratt's presence, wrote Zeskind, "signaled the transformation of the gun lobby. Organizations like GOA or even the National Rifle Association, which were devoted to the single issue of firearms, would become the leading edge of a far right, multi-issue assault on government institutions and democratic rights. The gun lobby would be at the center of a web of right-wing warriors."

In militia circles, the [Waco] siege confirmed the worst suspicions about the federal government. The links between the militia scene and the gun groups had deepened to the point where NRA fundraising letters echoed the language of extremist publications on the radical right. In one 1995 letter, NRA executive vice-president Wayne LaPierre described ATF officers as "jack-booted thugs" in "Nazi bucket helmets." But the NRA stopped short of supporting the Christian Identity lawyer Kirk Lyons, who was representing multiple victims of Waco. Pratt and the GOA had no such compunction and donated tens of thousands of dollars to Lyons's white supremacist organization CAUSE (short for the Aryan bastions of Canada, Australia, the United States, South Africa and Europe), "Not $50,000 — but a lot of money for us," Pratt told Rolling Stone in 1995.

For many, the gun scene's rhetoric of an "evil" and "fascist" government was immediately rendered in more sinister shades when Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb under Oklahoma City's Alfred P. Murrah federal building on April 19, 1995, the second anniversary of the Waco siege. Former president George W. Bush spoke for many when he cancelled his NRA membership in the bombing's wake, citing LaPierre's incendiary rhetoric.

On the afternoon of the City bombing, Pratt was in Washington, D.C., demonstrating in front of FBI headquarters for its role in the Waco tragedy. Three days later, Pratt spoke before a gathering of 600 Christian Identity adherents and assorted radicals convened by Pete Peters at the Lodge of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri. Pratt addressed the "Biblical Mandate to Arm" and seemed to justify McVeigh's act of terror, at the time the bloodiest in American history. According to an account by Michael Reynolds in Playboy, Pratt told the gathered, "The government behaves as a beast. It did in Waco, and we have somebody, whoever it might have been, whatever group it might have been, assuming they can't rely on the Lord to take vengeance."

Bradlee Dean Warns LGBT-Accepting Christians 'Open Doors Wide To The Gates Of Hell'

Religious Right activist Bradlee Dean is not too pleased with the increasing number of Christian denominations accepting LGBT people, claiming that the “apostate” churches are “counterfeits that open doors wide to the gates of hell” and are “spitting toward Heaven.”

Dean also links President Obama and his “criminal, ‘sodomite-advocating’ administration” to these “effeminate” Christians, likening the president to the “evil king” Jeroboam.

Last week we witnessed four denominations emboldened by this criminal, “sodomite-advocating” administration, joining the ranks of the apostate in America. Namely, the United Church of Christ (that claims 1 million members with about 5,200 congregations), the Presbyterian Church USA, the Moravians, who voted to ordain gay clergy, as we as the [Affirming] Pentecostal Church International (1 Timothy 4:1).

J. Bennett Guess, United Church of Christ’s first openly gay church executive, said that he was, “being a bold voice for progressive Christianity.” This would be like a criminal with a police badge trying to convince everyone that he is upright simply because of his man-ordained title.

This is spitting toward Heaven; and rest assured, they (along with whoever tolerates their crimes) will fall on their own backs.

Study the past!

When it comes to the issues at hand concerning our culture, we can clearly see that the majority of professed Christians are guilty of contributing to America’s state of moral anarchy (which they so boldly proclaim), proven by their support of antinomianism and the effeminate lifestyles they perpetuate.

It is revealing that these “churches” are “coming out” and exposing “what” and “who” real Christians have always known them to truly be: counterfeits that open doors wide to the gates of hell.

Side note: This is nothing new. It reminds me of an evil king named Jeroboam in 1 Kings 12:31, who “made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi.” These appointed priests were not ordained or appointed to stand in the place of or as God’s ministers, by God. Yet, there they were because of an evil king (a man) who usurped himself above God and His Law. (By the way, Barack Hussein Obama has appointed over 225 radical homosexuals, lesbians and transvestites to governmental positions.) What was their end? Destruction.

Religious Right Group Says 'We've Been Focused Too Much' On Gay Marriage And 'Not Focused Enough On Divorce'

The Ruth Institute's Jennifer Johnson wrote on the organization's blog yesterday that marriage equality advocates who criticize the Religious Right for singling out gay marriage while ignoring straight divorce "have a point."

"Have we been too focused on “same sex marriage” and not focused enough on divorce?" she asks. "I think so."

"Divorce is a big problem that Christians have not confronted adequately," she writes. "Thus, we have lost our witness and moral authority in regards to the institution of marriage. At least, that’s how it looks to me. "

The Ruth Institute — which until last year was affiliated with the National Organization for Marriage — doesn't always conform with the Religious Right's messaging, most recently taking issue with the movement's "whining" persecution rhetoric.

That's not to say that the rest of the Religious Right doesn't care about divorce — the advent of no-fault divorce is frequently brought up as as a milestone in the slippery slope of the sexual revolution, and "covenant marriage" laws are popular among some activists. (Family Research Council president Tony Perkins sponsored the nation's first covenant marriage law when he was a Louisiana state legislator.)  But the movement as a whole knows that villainizing people who get divorced is going to be a less popular strategy than scapegoating the much smaller LGBT population.

Peter LaBarbera Says Men Are Gay Because They Just Want A 'Cheap Orgasm,' Obama 'Obsessed' With Homosexuality

James David Manning, the New York pastor who has warned of "Obama's homo-demons" and posted a "Stone Homos" sign on his church, hosted Peter LaBarbera of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality on his radio show this week.

LaBarbera, who has devoted his entire life to combating gay rights, accused President Obama of being "obsessed" with homosexuality: "He's pandering to such a degree that it's like there is a spiritual force behind this, because who can explain the obsession that Barack Obama and his administration have for this issue."

LaBarbera also maintained that men are gay because they are too afraid of marrying a woman and having kids, as a "real man" would, and instead just want "the cheap orgasm."

"Homosexuality is robbing the potential husbands of women in the black community, and that's applicable to all women. I think homosexuality is one sense offers to men, if I can say this on your program, it offers the cheap orgasm. It's a lot harder to be a man, a real man and have a family, court a woman, marry a woman, have children, raise a family."

The anti-LGBT activist also said parents "have to start inoculating kids" against homosexuality and the "evil" of same-sex marriage. If someone tells them they are gay, LaBarbera advises, one should respond by asking: "Are you really? Because I don't think God wants homosexuality."

Robert Oscar Lopez: Gay Rights Movement Is 'Violent' Even Though 'Many Still Stereotype Gays As Delicate'

Anti-gay activist and author of gay erotica Robert Oscar Lopez has compiled a list of 300 incidents that he thinks illustrate the scourge of “homofascism.” He writes today in the American Thinker that “homofacism” is “less nationalistic than past fascisms, though more invasive and consuming because it polices interpersonal relationships and interior thoughts in a way that earlier police states did not.” He adds that the movement “it is violent, even though we tend not to think of the movement as violent because many still stereotype gays as delicate, and the violence is usually carried out through the seemingly legitimate auspices of the state.”

There is a mass movement aimed at stifling the autonomy of natural relationships – friendships, familial love, romantic love, human reverence for the divine – and subverting such relationships to the punitive power of an intrusive state. It is as sweeping and menacing as past isms, including fascism, to which it reveals a number of striking resemblances.

It is difficult to comprehend, partly because it operates so often with emotional subterfuge, and partly because it is unprecedented. It is less nationalistic than past fascisms, though more invasive and consuming because it polices interpersonal relationships and interior thoughts in a way that earlier police states did not. I have come to realize, though, that it is violent, even though we tend not to think of the movement as violent because many still stereotype gays as delicate, and the violence is usually carried out through the seemingly legitimate auspices of the state.

This strange fascism has grown under the guise of advocating for a marginalized and even obscure population – homosexuals and bisexuals – whose interests are in no way served by this movement, and who are themselves some of the people most vulnerable to repression by it. The stakes are huge, the urgency serious. We have to call it something, and its name should evoke the dramatic emergency it is presenting to the globe. So let’s just call it “homofascism” for simplicity’s sake.

The thought crosses my mind quite often: could I have made a difference if I’d come forward and spoken out in 2004? In 2000? In 1994? Homofascism feeds on silence. The less you confront it, the more it hunts you down and strikes at you. It is a strange beast. Perhaps if conservatives had stopped being so afraid of offending people and taken this threat seriously twenty years ago, many of the victims catalogued in our 300 list would not have been prey for the search-and-destroy missions of the gay lobby.

But regrets do little. We need to move forward. My allies’ purpose in archiving the history of homofascism is to provide a resource, to make sure that people on our side know how high the stakes are, and how false the veneers of the other side are. We are facing a vicious, lethal enemy, and we have to fight back accordingly. Ever forward.

Tony Perkins Claims 'Liberal Jewish Folk' Are Undermining Israel By Supporting Marriage Equality

In a June address to the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council lamented the support for same-sex marriage and abortion rights among “liberal Jewish folk.”

Perkins cited the rise of gay rights as a sign that American society is abandoning the Bible, warning that the U.S. may next disregard biblical directives to support Israel.

He also pointed to the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s recent decision to allow pastors to officiate same-sex weddings and to divest from three American corporations that are involved in West Bank settlements.

AFA: People Who Couldn't Pray Away The Gay Weren't Trying Hard Enough

Ed Vitagliano of the American Family Association writes in this month’s edition of the AFA Journal that while he knows many people have “prayed endlessly for God to remove their same-sex attractions — to no avail,” that is because they simply haven’t called upon the power of God “to gain mastery over [their] impulses.”

Vitagliano cites “the reality of ‘ex-gay’ people” as proof that “there are clearly many who have left the lifestyle.”

He notes that while ex-gays have “reoriented their affections to the opposite sex,” nonetheless “temptation remains.”

The Bible makes clear that homosexual acts are sinful. Yet what about a same sex orientation apart from sexual activity? Is it also sinful?

The answer appears to be yes, just as a desire to fornicate is a sin. In Romans 1:26-27, Paul speaks of the homosexual’s “degrading passions” or desires themselves. He also mentions that they “burned in their desire toward one another” and then committed “indecent acts.”

Perhaps the person born blind will cry out to the Lord for a miracle, and sometimes God answers and heals. But if we are honest, most of the time God does not seem inclined – whatever the reason – to perform that miracle.

Likewise, countless people who self-identify as homosexual claim to have prayed endlessly for God to remove their same sex attractions – to no avail.

This is not the whole story, of course. Despite the media’s refusal to consider the reality of “ex-gay” people, there are clearly many who have left the lifestyle. While temptation remains, they have – by God’s grace – reoriented their affections to the opposite sex.

On the other hand, like the blind or paralyzed person who cries out to God for physical healing but does not receive it, Christians who still struggle with same sex attraction may find themselves similarly frustrated.

For some reason, God often responds to prayer requests as He did with Paul: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). The battle goes on. The Christian must fight against his fallen nature as the Israelites fought against the continual encroachments of the Philistines.

What, then, do we say to the gay man and the lesbian? What are they to do with their brokenness? First, if they remain defiant in it, they will eternally perish. Yet this is no different than the drunkard or the fornicator or the liar or the idolater. All who remain in their rebellion are damned.

Can a person be a Christian and still struggle against same sex attractions? Yes. When we become followers of Christ, we continue to battle the flesh in all its permutations (Galatians 5:16-17). But we have the power of Christ on our side, and we are called to gain mastery over the impulses that have plagued us, even if the impulses themselves remain. Christ will lead us in victory if we will receive His grace daily and obey Him.

Madison Project: 'Illegal Invasion,' 'Anti-Family Agenda' Make Conservatives 'Strangers In Our Own Country'

The Madison Project, the Tea Party group backed by Sen. Ted Cruz that’s pushing far-right challengers in Republican congressional races, marked the Fourth of July this year by lamenting that the “illegal invasion,” the “anti-family agenda,” Social Security, and the rest of the social safety net make them “feel like strangers in our own country.”

Sadly, many of us are spending this 4th of July wondering if our Founders would recognize that republic – that beacon of freedom built upon a strong civil society and ordered liberty. So many ordinary Americans feel our republic is long lost to a foreign socialist utopia centrally managed by an elitist oligarchy in the form of two corrupt political parties.

This small minority of radicals has completely vitiated our most fundamental characteristic as a republic – our sovereign borders. We are now languishing from the flood of over 100,000 illegal immigrants teaming over our southern border, adding to the millions of illegals already here. At stake is nothing less than the preservation of our civil society, sovereignty, and solvency as a nation and as a stable economy. They drain our resources, health care, education, and criminal justice system.

We feel like strangers in our own country.

Even without the illegal invasion, our republic is hanging on by a thread.

Almost every American is involuntarily subservient to the federal government for his or her retirement security and healthcare. Over 46 million people, and one-in-four children, rely upon government for food stamps. Under the new Obamacare mandates, an estimated 79 million Americans will be enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP. This culture of dependency, an anathema to our spirit of independence, has saddled us with over $1 million in debt and unfunded obligations for every American taxpayer.

Meanwhile, ordered liberty in a constitutional republic needs a strong civil society and strong families in order to thrive, much like fish in water. Yet, the cultural degeneration, promulgated and encouraged by this small societal elite, has permeated every aspect of American life – to the extent that those of us who adhere to traditional family values are now ostracized and castigated. We have reached the point where we need a group of unelected judges to grant us small morsels of religious liberty from their high benches in Washington. The small minority who push this invidious anti-family agenda now seek to eradicate the very existence of gender to the degree that private individuals and businesses are now being forces to accommodate bizarre and licentious practices.

The “Republican” Party was supposed to serve as the bulwark against attempts to supplant our republican form of government, yet they have become part and parcel of the problem. Decades’ worth of treachery directed towards the party faithful from its leadership has finally culminated with the Mississippi election last week. A long-serving Republican, with the blessing of the entire party establishment, engaged in fraud and race-baiting to repudiate his own party base and steal the election.

We are now living through the worst consequences of elective despotism that James Madison warned about in Federalist 48. Indeed we are strangers in our own country and in our own party.

Eagle Forum’s Virginia Armstrong, the head of the group’s Court Watch Project, today makes the novel argument that the U.S. Constitution doesn’t protect the rights of LGBT people but in fact requires the government to fight “homosexual conduct” in “every legitimate way possible.” In an article published on Eagle Forum’s website, Armstrong argues that advances in LGBT equality prove “that America is indeed in the ‘danger zone’ and is in dire need of a massive ‘straightening up process.’” She then argues that... Bert Farias, founder of Holy Fire Ministries, had a piece published on Charisma Magazine's website today in which he begged gay people to "please do not get upset with me" for trying to tell them "the raw, naked truth about homosexuality," promising that if they will just listen to him, they "will see that I am actually trying to help you." And Farias' message of love is that "being gay is a choice" and choosing to be gay puts one at risk of engaging in "unclean practices that open up a person to the demonic." And once that happens,... The American Family Association simply doesn’t understand why more and more Americans support equal rights for the gay community when, according to a recent study, just over two percent of people openly identified as gay, lesbian or bisexual … because as everybody knows that rights are determined by population size! AFA head Tim Wildmon, in a statement about the study today, criticized the gay community as “an extremely small population” that is bent on “inundating television shows” and “bullying” Americans until they are “given special... Right-wing blogger Michael Bresciani is out today with yet another column castigating President Obama’s war on “our moral beliefs and our southern border,” warning that Obama is “conscripting” women, gay people, immigrants and terrorists in his plan to bring down America. He is especially wary of Obama’s gay “elite forces” who seek to turn America into a country “where perversion is the new Apple Pie.” “Homosexuals are conscripted by the war efforts of the media, Hollywood and the gay-loving President who is the new rainbow... Because of the sexual, political agenda of many of these activists, they’ve been successful at redefining those disorders and classifying them... MORE

Is Matt Barber secretly a gay rights advocate who has gone under deep cover to make the Religious Right look absolutely ridiculous? It seems that might be the case, judging by his latest column, titled “The Coming Christian Revolt.” Featuring a picture of African American demonstrators being shot with water hoses behind a superimposed rainbow image, Barber writes that the anti-gay Right is the direct descendant of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement, and must similarly engage in “widespread civil disobedience” in the face of water hoses. From behind... MORE

Gordon Klingenschmitt, who is the GOP nominee for a state legislative seat in Colorado, is obviously not pleased with the Colorado county clerks who have started issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. On his “Pray In Jesus Name” program yesterday, Klingenschmitt reminded the clerks that “homosexuality is not only an abomination, not only worthy of death,” but comes with a “penalty” that amounts to “spiritual death.” “They say, ‘Oh, it’s all about love.’ No, it’s about lust, it’s about selfishness,...
