Ex-gay activists are out with yet another tool to encourage people to consider “leaving homosexuality” and rejecting the “gay lifestyle.” The “documentary” features ex-gay activists including Anne Paulk, DL Foster, David Kyle Foster, Linda Jernigan, Jeff Johnston, Robert Gagnon and Michael Brown. Newly released documentary "Such Were Some of You" confronts the rising tide of popular opinion by chronicling the stories of 29 former homosexual men and women who say that Jesus Christ has transformed their lives. Experts in psychology, (Dr. Julie... MORE >

Writing on behalf of the ex-gay group Voice of the Voiceless on Monday, DL Foster praised Texas Republicans for adopting a resolution in support of ex-gay therapy. Foster, likening the GOP’s ex-gay resolution to the fight against anti-black discrimination at the hands of groups like the Ku Klux Klan, attacked “the anti-American actions of liberals who continue to deny rights and suppress hope for potential millions of Americans seeking avenues to change sexual and emotional dysfunctions.” He even claimed that prohibitions on ex-gay therapy for minors, such as laws recently... Ex-gay activist D.L. Foster appeared on Linda Harvey’s radio show over the weekend where he declared that the United States is no longer the “land of the free” because homosexuality is no longer illegal. The two spent time criticizing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for launching a State Department program to advance LGBT equality abroad, or as Foster called it, “U.S.-imported gay imperialism,” while hailing anti-LGBT laws in nations like Jamaica and India, where homosexuality is a criminal offense. Foster called Russia the “crown jewel” of... MORE >

D.L. Foster of Voice of the Voiceless and Ex-Gay Pride/Awareness Month has posted on his blog a handy explanation of why homosexuality is a sin and possibly the worst sin of them all. He writes that homosexuality is no “average sin on par with others” mainly because it is becoming more socially acceptable as “so many people [are] bound in it and cant [sic] get out.” “So many people who get out get sucked back into it,” he laments. Foster asserts that Satan is “convincing people that they were born gay and should cease struggling and accept it.... MORE >
September Is 'Ex-Gay Awareness Month'… That Is If America Survives the Repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell

UPDATE: It appears that Voice of the Voiceless removed the post on DADT. Ironically, Foster has routinely accused gay rights groups of stifling his speech...but now his own organization seems to have done just that. Since Ex-Gay Pride Month in July was an absolutely phenomenal success, Voice of the Voiceless announced on Friday that September will be Ex-Gay Awareness Month: FIRST ANNUAL EX-GAY AWARENESS LOBBYING DAY AND DINNER As a part of the First Annual Ex-Gay Awareness Month in our nation’s schools, Voice of the Voiceless and Equality and Justice for All are pleased to announce... Today, another leader in the ex-gay movement has written a letter of apology for the “hurt and pain” caused by his work at Exodus International. That being said, DL Foster of Ex-Gay Pride Month is out with a new diatribe likening gay rights advocates to slave owners. After comparing himself to Harriet Tubman, this time Foster sees himself as a Frederick Douglass figure who was able to “escape the gay life plantation.” “Gay activists and white American slave owners are two sides of the same coin, animated by the same spirit,” Foster writes.... Since first reporting on the creation of “Ex-Gay Pride Month” and its now-cancelled reception at the Family Research Council, we have uncovered more unhinged rants by organizers DL Foster and Greg Quinlan. Foster, who previously called for Dan Savage’s arrest and claimed gay Christians are like people wearing “blackface,” has posted several blog entries likening gay rights advocates to slave owners and the Ku Klux Klan. Now, he has taken it one step further by equating himself to Harriet Tubman, literally putting a picture of himself over a Harriet... MORE >

Ex-Gay Pride Month organizer DL Foster is once again comparing gay rights supporters to slave owners, arguing in a blog post that Christians who support gay rights are just like Christians who opposed abolition, integration and women’s suffrage because they are all driven by making money. “If the progay clerics and organizations and [sic] had any intellectual honesty, they would inform their followers that they are part of a longstanding tradition of lying for financial gain,” Foster writes. “American slaveowners [sic] did it, the anti-suffragists did it, the jim crow...
