GOP's Base Clamors To Impeach Obama

Nearly two years into President Obama’s second term, a do-nothing Republican Congress is focusing on its next project: the 2014 midterm elections. But that effort might be complicated by increasing pressure from the party’s base to turn Congress’ energy to impeaching President Obama. The impeachment call, which has existed on the right-wing fringe since the start of Obama’s presidency, has picked up steam in recent weeks as it has been endorsed by right-wing media figures, activists and elected officials.

This has put Republican congressional leaders in a tricky spot as they attempt to placate their base without alienating moderate voters. When House Majority Whip Steve Scalise appeared on Fox News Sunday this week, he continually dodged the question. Ted Cruz similarly batted away a question about impeachment, calling it politically unfeasible. Right-wing leaders including Pat Buchanan and Tom DeLay have urged caution in the impeachment campaign, although DeLay said he would personally “love to impeach him.” Likewise, Karl Rove has warned that when it comes to impeachment, “the politics of it are all wrong.”

Even Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas, who last year distributed to every office on Capitol Hill a book on why the president should be impeached and removed from office and hired an attorney to look into impeachment, is now backtracking and warning that impeachment proceedings could benefit Democrats in the midterm elections.

Now, House Speaker John Boehner is claiming that talk of impeachment is a Democratic “scam” to win voters…an odd claim since it’s members of his own party who have been beating the drum about impeachment.

But it might be too late for Republicans to backtrack on a steady buildup of rhetoric questioning the president’s legitimacy, love of country, and authority to govern, which has led to increasing calls for impeachment from right-wing lawmakers, activists and media personalities... although nobody can quite agree on what the impeachment should be for.

  • In a radio interview last week, Rep. Michele Bachmann said that she believed the president has "committed impeachable offenses” but that first “the American people have to agree with and be behind and call for the president’s impeachment.”
  • This month, Rep. Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania said that there are “probably” the votes in the House to impeach the president for “absolutely ignoring the Constitution, and ignoring the laws, and ignoring the checks and balances.”
  • Also last year, Rep. Kerry Bentivolio of Michigan said that impeaching the president would be “a dream come true.”

Tea Party Nation Tells Members It Is Time To 'Impeach And Arrest The Tyrant King Obama'

Tea Party Nation today emailed members a petition called “IMPEACH AND ARREST THE TYRANT KING OBAMA!!,” which is about as over-the-top as you would expect it to be.

The time has come to DEMAND the IMMEDIATE ARREST and PROSECUTION of one BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA upon his willful and transgression of 18 U.S. Code § 2339A.

I hereby call on all members of the house and the senate to begin impeachment proceeding against Barack Hussein Obama and for Andrew B. “Drew” Willison, the current Senate Seargent [sic] at Arms to issue and execute an arrest warrant, taking the president, Barack Hussein Obama into custody.

Barack Hussein Obama is in direct violation of 18 U.S. Code § 2339A – Providing material support to terroristsas a result of the removal of five Taliban GITMO detained terrorists and the transfer OF them to the government of Qatar where they, according to the specified arrangement negotiated BY Obama that they only be keep from traveling for a period of one year.

The petition goes on to say that Obama “should face a minimum of 15 years” in prison.

Right Wing Bonus Tracks - 5/29/14

  • Glenn Beck, David Barton, Michelle Malkin and other anti-Common Core activists will participate in a live event that will air in movie theaters throughout the country this summer called "We Will Not Conform."
  • Speaking of Beck, he has spent all week blaming Elliot Rodger's murder spree on video games, so logically he'll blame the murder of this two year-old girl on the Bible, right?
  • Predictably, David and Jason Benham have now become full-fledged Religious Right stars and have been given a speaking slot at Ralph Reed's upcoming Faith and Freedom Coalition conference.
  • Mat Staver reiterates his demand that Congress impeach President Obama: "Our Constitution and precious liberties are under full-scale assault by Barack Obama and his leftist administration. Patriotic Americans must refuse to stand silently by while leftists take our nation apart, plank by plank We MUST perform our duty as Americans to free ourselves of this tyranny."
  • Finally, Tea Party Nation has a message for the GOP: "America is waiting for you to prove you are patriots, not eunuchs."

Tea Party Nation Is Totally Not Racist, Just Calls Obama 'Banama'

Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips insists that for his group’s website, “racists [sic] comments is [sic] one of the fastest ways to be banned from the site.”

But he had no problem today sending members a post referring to the president as “Banama,” drawing on the racist comparison of black people to monkeys.

The post is as crazy as one might expected an article entitled ‘Banama’s Next Job’ would be, with author James Brody regretting “white timidity” in fighting Obama.

“Even his race – ‘black’ was and is a deception,” Brody writes. “Odd that he seems to expect a Presidential Library.”

Obama skated into office carrying several last names, glib promises, hidden academic records, conflicting information about his citizenship, limited public service in Chicago, ties to leftist organizations, a ghost-written autobiography, and a religious background of Islam and black nationalism (Cashill, Kurtz). His recent influences included Frank Marshall Davis, Saul Alinsky?; Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright (a disciple of black liberation theology), Edward Said (author of Orientalism), and the social schemes of Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.

Obama’s socialist attainments depend on white timidity (Steele, 2006) when he issues Executive Orders and arranges deals with vendors for unions, solar panels, windmills, railroads, “green” autos, and finance. An unfortunate outcome: Like Sidney Carton, the American public will do the noble thing and get its own head cut off.

His records from Occidental college, Columbia College; and Harvard; his Columbia thesis; Selective Service registration; medical records; Illinois State Senate schedule and records; Law practice list of clients; Certified copy of original birth certificate; certificate of live birth; and the record of his Baptism. Even his race – “black” was and is a deception. Odd that he seems to expect a Presidential Library . . .

Obama’s value to his next employer – the UN, Bilderberg, or Soros (he looks even now to their interests) –depends first on what he disassembles in the American society and, second, on information that he brings with him. One of his support groups, Organizing for Action, now cuts staff and budgets as his second term enters its second half. However, the most damaging thefts from Americans – after their lessons in helplessness, begging, and idleness - are not of ceramic, crystal, or oak but of information. And given the Bamster’s spotty academic skills, he will depend on files that he copies well in advance of the moving van. Has the lovely Ms. Jarrett removed files for the past six years? Does she do so even now? Valerie knows all and will remind BO of it. She is his Madame Thérèse Defarge not from Paris but Iran by way of Chicago. And a political guillotine, one guided, honed, and fueled by lots of regulations, will feed itself indefinitely on taxpayers . . .

Tea Party Nation Wants Michael Sam's 'Nauseating' Kiss Off TV

Yesterday, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips sent members a column from his group’s website titled “Too Much Gay Everything,” which criticizes the media’s treatment of Michael Sam’s “nauseating” and “lugubrious” kiss.

The author, conservative activist Alan Caruba, writes that his anti-gay prejudice “is based on biology and history” and that “being gay is not normal.”

As is typical in anti-gay columns, Caruba goes on to warn that schools are promoting homosexuality and that “anyone with a handful of functioning brain cells” opposes legalizing same-sex marriage.

I like to think of myself as a tolerant person. I have, however, one prejudice that is based on biology and history.

Michael Sam, the first openly gay professional football prospect, made history when he was filmed by an ESPN crew giving his lover, Vito Cammisano, a long, lugubrious kiss to celebrate being selected in the National Football League draft on May 10th. The sight of two men kissing passionately was not something I and a lot of other folks wanted to see.

A spokesman for GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Discrimination, called the kiss “a significant milestone”, describing it as “touching.” No it wasn’t. It was nauseating to any heterosexual having to witness it or explain it to their children. We need to understand that being gay is not normal. Biologically, species exist because the male and female genders exist for the purpose of procreation and propagation.

Historically, gays have been held in disdain in every era of civilization. Today in the Islamic Middle East you can be killed for being gay, but you can also be killed for being Christian. In the West both actions are an abomination.

I don’t want to hear much about gays for any reason. The kiss was not something I would want young people to see on television or anywhere else. The bigger problem is that our younger generation, progressing through our schools, is being systematically taught to accept homosexuality as just another version of normality.

Being a youngster of any age is stressful enough, but being young and gay just adds to the stress and someone should tell them they will live with that for the rest of their lives.

Most certainly parents do not send their children to our public schools to learn about homosexuality, bisexuality, or being transgendered.

What a very large portion of the heterosexual population objects to is the appalling and aggressive effort of the homosexual minority to redefine marriage. Anyone with a handful of functioning brain cells knows that marriage is the union of a man and a woman. Same-sex marriage is an assault on the traditional, historical and global understanding of marriage, the keystone of any society.

Judson Phillips Suggests Conducting Executions With Heroin, Hanging, Firing Squad

Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips is reacting to Tuesday’s horrific botched execution of Oklahoma inmate Clayton Lockett with his typical nuance and sensitivity.

“Who really cares if he suffered a little?” Phillips asks of Lockett, who died of a heart attack 43 minutes after a lethal injection gone wrong.

“If the left insists that we use drugs to execute people, why not just a massive overdose of opiates?” he wonders.” According to some press reports, when actor Phillip Seymore Hoffman overdosed, death was so fast, the needle was still in his arm. Why don’t we simply use very pure heroin to execute inmates?”

“If the left doesn’t like lethal injection, there are lots of other ways to kill condemned inmates. Hanging works pretty well. So do the firing squad, the gas chamber and the electric chair,” he concludes.

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, lethal injection became the vogue solution for the death penalty. Liberals claimed that the existing methods of execution were barbaric; lethal injection was introduced in an attempt to make executions more “humane.”

When most states went to lethal injections, outside groups insisted that states use a three drug cocktail, which is unnecessarily complex, and now critics claim that it doesn’t work.

It does work. Every condemned convict it has been used on has died.

If the left insists that we use drugs to execute people, why not just a massive overdose of opiates? Every big city cop who has worked for any length of time tells stories of finding heroin addicts who shoot up pure heroin, OD and are found with the needle still in their arm.

According to some press reports, when actor Phillip Seymore Hoffman overdosed, death was so fast, the needle was still in his arm. Why don’t we simply use very pure heroin to execute inmates?

The left is screaming about the execution of Lockett, but who really cares if he suffered a little?

If the left doesn’t like lethal injection, there are lots of other ways to kill condemned inmates. Hanging works pretty well. So do the firing squad, the gas chamber and the electric chair.

Tea Party Nation Now Promoting Operation American Spring

Operation American Spring, the far-right, militia-aligned group that’s planning a pro-coup rally next month to force President Obama out of office by shutting down Washington D.C., got a shout-out this week from Tea Party Nation.

TPN head Judson Phillips emailed members a column — “Declaring War on Americans” — by Alan Caruba, in which he applauds the militias defending the Cliven Bundy ranch and plugs Operation American Spring, while hinting that the demonstration may provoke a violent response from the government.

I love the notion that Cliven Bundy lives in Bunkerville. It reminded me of Bunker Hill and you know how badly that eventually turned out for the British in 1775. What ensued was a guerrilla war led by George Washington that defeated the most powerful nation of its time. There is no way a militia with small arms can defeat the kind of arms the U.S. government can bring to bear on such a battle, but one has to admire the courage of those people who showed up to confront them. That’s quintessentially American!

I don’t think the BLM response to Bundy was exclusive to the agency. That decision needed to be sent up the line as far as the White House. Indeed, it was likely initiated by the White House.

All tyrannies over-reach at some point and we are seeing that occur in the White House. The nation is fortunate to have the House controlled by Republicans and now needs a Senate as well in order to dispense some much needed justice on behalf of Americans.

It’s going to be interesting to see how the White House responds to the May 16th “Operation American Spring” being organized to bring a million or more to Washington, D.C. to participate in an event that will demonstrate the breadth of the unhappiness that has spread since Obama’s first election and is gaining momentum since his second.

This isn’t the first time the Tea Party group has promoted Operation American Spring.

Back in January, the group emailed members an invitation to participate in the May 16 event, saying that non-peaceful means are on the table in their anti-Obama campaign.

Gen. Paul Vallely of Stand Up America US, who is also helping to spearhead "Operation American Spring" beginning May 16th in DC, has suggested that to counter Obama's imperious overreaching that Congress should tender a vote of "no-confidence" against him.

Going forward, the most compelling remedial grassroots action we should all get solidly behind is, of course, "Operation American Spring" which will be launched in earnest on May 16th. I urge readers to check it out on the Patriots for America site. You have the option of participating in the protracted occupation or volunteering your services and talents in support of the operation.

Finally and very importantly, if all of these peaceful remedies fail to achieve our constitutional goals, then ALL other remedies sanctioned by our Founders and "natural law" must necessarily be relied upon by the American people. Let the Founders ALWAYS be our guide.

Tea Party Nation Claims More Than A Million Democrats Voted Twice In 2012

Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips has been hard at work crunching numbers, and today announces a starting conclusion: President Obama won reelection in 2012 because more than a million people cast votes in two states.

How did Phillips reach this number?

Well, he starts with a North Carolina elections board report that it found 35,750 records of people who voted in the state whose names and birthdays matched people who had voted in other states.

North Carolina used a program run by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, which even Kobach acknowledges produces a “significant number” of “false positives.” Officials using the program in Ohio and Colorado failed to identify a single case of fraudulent voting from the “matches” that the program produced. Even the North Carolina elections board has backtracked from its original blockbuster number, telling ThinkProgress that “we are not jumping to conclusions here.” In other words, North Carolina’s report contains no proof of any voter fraud, much less 35,000 cases of it.

But never mind the facts! Phillips then “extrapolate[s]” the North Carolina figure “out over the entire population” to guess that there “could be over one million double votes in 2012,” thereby winning President Obama the election. (Of course, in Phillips’ reckoning, all of these imaginary cases of voter fraud were perpetrated by Democrats – although they still weren’t enough to win North Carolina for the president).

“Democrats are not winning elections,” he concludes. “ They are taking them the old fashioned way. They are stealing them.”

What is the shocking secret that may explain how Obama got a second term?

A study done in North Carolina showed that 35,750 people who live and voted in North Carolina may have voted in another state in the 2012 Presidential election. The study was based on comparing the first and last names along with date of birth for people who voted in 28 other states. In 765 of those cases, social security numbers matched as well.

This number would have probably been larger but only 28 states participated and the four largest states, California, New York, Texas and Florida did not participate.

If you extrapolate this figure out over the entire population, that could be over one million double votes in 2012.

Democrats are not winning elections. They are taking them the old fashioned way. They are stealing them.

Lest we think that Phillips is just pushing a fringe argument, Kobach himself yesterday made a very similar claim, citing absolutely no evidence to claim that widows are voting “all the time” on behalf of their deceased husbands. Kobach has previously claimed that the “radical left” opposes his suppressive policies because they “feel they can benefit” from massive fraud.

And, to Phillips’ credit, his voter fraud estimate is more conservative than that of former Libertarian vice presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root, who estimates that Democrats “across the country” voted ten times each for President Obama .

UPDATE: It appears that Phillips may have gotten his conclusion from Dick Morris, who wrote an op-ed in The Hill this week making the same claim. Meanwhile, the theory is getting debunked again and again.

Tea Party Activist: 'Gay Supremacy Is Becoming A Monster That Carries Greater Evils Than White Supremacy Ever Did'

Mary Baker, leader of Conservative Moms for America and a speaker for the Tea Party Express, is warning in a blog post for Tea Party Nation that “gay supremacy is becoming a monster that carries greater evils than white supremacy ever did.”

Her post, which Tea Party Nation leader Judson Phillips emailed to members today, also makes the absurd claim that white supremacy was “quickly put down” in America and argues that the gay rights activists are motivated by “hate” and bent on their opponents’ “utter annihilation.”

Baker explains that gay rights advocates are worse than white supremacists because “I could disagree with the beliefs of white supremacist and still hold to Biblical views about life, marriage and sexuality. Many people in America fought against their own kind in order to rid us of this hateful group but Gay supremacist have bullied every sector of our nation and now sit as the giant bully against all Americans who disagree with their radical agenda.”

When white supremacy tried to make a mark in American history it was viciously attacked quickly put down by the people of our nation . But Gay Supremacy is becoming a monster that carries greater evils than white supremacy ever did. White Supremacy was focused on how a group of people felt about another group of people. They created various barriers for those they hated and their views about their superiority to others provided the frame work for the citizens of this nation to search their hearts and understand that God has created every person in His image. However Gay Supremacy's hate reaches much farther than a specific group of people. Their [sic] is no common ground that can be reached. Their [sic] is no searching of the heart or consideration of God's principles. Their hate is generated only by self centeredness [sic] and hate for anyone who disagrees with them.

Any person who disagrees with their evil beliefs will be viciously attacked and destroyed. I could disagree with the beliefs of white supremacist and still hold to Biblical views about life, marriage and sexuality. Many people in America fought against their own kind in order to rid us of this hateful group but Gay supremacist have bullied every sector of our nation and now sit as the giant bully against all Americans who disagree with their radical agenda. Christians are not bigots because we don't embrace immoral lifestyles. Currently gay supremacist point their anguish at Christians but anyone who stand opposed to the Gay supremacist is game for utter annihilation.

Our state government must now take the lead in protecting the religious freedoms and right of expression of the citizens of their state from this new enemy the Gay Supremacist.

Keyes: Obama 'Is The First Anti-American Occupant Of The White House'

In a post for Tea Party Nation today, Alan Keyes warns that President Obama wants "to compel the reluctant majority of the American people down the path of failed and discredited socialist party dictatorship."

Keyes writes that Obama's "self-destructive" policies are proof that "he is the first anti-American occupant of the White House in U.S. history."

"The challenge is total, and the stakes are no less than our survival as a viable, independent nation," Keyes writes. "It is no longer a matter of politics, but of allegiance- to our Constitution, our nation, our liberty."

In every respect Barack Obama has repeatedly shown himself to be a fanatical ideologue. His words, policies and actions support the conclusion that he is the first anti-American occupant of the White House in U.S. history. Apparently the only power he does not want the Federal government to control is the power to defend the nation.

Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, many people go on assuming that Obama seeks somehow to serve the nation's good. He has rejected the moral premises, criticized the principles and undermined the authority of the Constitution. He has pursued fiscal policies that promise to destroy the good faith and credit of the U.S. Government and bankrupt its Treasury. He has pursued military policies with no rational strategic context or purpose, fruitlessly eroding the strength and morale of our armed forces. Ignoring the unequivocal lessons of history, he has pursued economic and social policies that assault the private sector, curtail individual economic liberty and aim to compel the reluctant majority of the American people down the path of failed and discredited socialist party dictatorship.

On any assumption of goodwill toward America and its institutions, Obama's policies appear incoherent, disjointed, incompetent and self-destructive. On the assumption of hostility toward America's vital interests and its way of life, however, they resolve into the rational, coherent and indeed directly linear pursuit of its destruction.

...

Obama and his faction now threaten the future of America on all fronts. Those who wish to preserve the nation must come together in the realization that we do not face a challenge on this issue or that. The challenge is total, and the stakes are no less than our survival as a viable, independent nation. It is no longer a matter of politics, but of allegiance- to our Constitution, our nation, our liberty. We must reject the moral, economic and military disarmament of America. We must reject Obama, and all his faction and all its works.

Tea Party Nation: Brewer's Veto Imposed 'Slavery,' Mandatory Penis Cakes For 'Homosexual Weddings'

Judson Phillips, president of Tea Party Nation, is a little upset about Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer’s decision last night to veto a bill that would have expanded the ability of business owners to discriminate against LGBT people and others.

“Tyranny is on the march,” Phillips declares in a piece on the TPN website that he also emailed to members of the group, adding that business owners who are not allowed to discriminate against gays and lesbians are “slaves” to the “great liberal state,” aided by “French Republicans” like Brewer.

“The left and the homosexual lobby are both pushing slavery using the Orwellian concepts of ‘tolerance’ and ‘inclusiveness,’” he writes.

Phillips then wonders if business owners will be forced to “create a cake for a homosexual wedding that has a giant phallic symbol on it,” “create pastries for a homosexual wedding in the shape of genitallia [sic],” or “photograph a homosexual wedding where the participants decide they want to be nude or engage in sexual behavior.”

The left and the homosexual lobby in America went into overdrive to kill this bill.  Conservatives rallied for this bill and Governor Brewer opted for cowardice instead of courage.

Why is this bill so important and what did it mean for not only Arizona but America?
The issue can be boiled down to one word: Freedom.

A free man or woman controls their labor.  A slave has no control over their labor.  A free man or woman decides who they will work for and under what conditions.  The slave cannot.

The left and the homosexual lobby are both pushing slavery using the Orwellian concepts of “tolerance” and “inclusiveness.”

Immediately the left and the homosexual lobby went into high dudgeon.  Arizona’s SB1062 must be defeated because Americans really are no longer free and must be forced to serve the great liberal state, regardless of their beliefs.

The storm rose against Arizona and Jan Brewer proved she was no Ronald Reagan.  She has an honored place in the ranks of the French Republicans.

The left loves to come up with absurd hypotheticals to scream that there must be compliance with their fascism, so how about a couple from our side.

Should a devote baker be required to create a cake for a homosexual wedding that has a giant phallic symbol on it or should a baker be required to create pastries for a homosexual wedding in the shape of genitallia [sic]?  Or should a photographer be required to photograph a homosexual wedding where the participants decide they want to be nude or engage in sexual behavior?  Would they force a Jewish photographer to work a Klan or Nazi event? How about forcing a Muslim caterer to work a pork barbeque dinner?

...

SB1062 is a bigger story than simply the story of a cowardly governor who has no core beliefs.
SB1062 is the story of liberalism at work in America.

Liberalism is the paranoid belief that leftists have that somewhere, someone may be thinking for themselves.  It is the tyrannical belief that no deviation in belief is allowed from the decreed orthodoxy.

It is the antithesis of liberty.

It is tyranny on the march.

Religious Right Leaders Rail Against Virginia Marriage Equality Decision

A federal judge’s decision to strike down Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriagehas unsurprisingly stoked the ire of conservatives.

Family Research Council head Tony Perkins offered a typical rebuke of “activist judges” and the “arrogant judiciary,” and once again warned that marriage equality will in fact lead to unprecedented inequality.

It appears that we have yet another example of an arrogant judge substituting her personal preferences for the judgment of the General Assembly and 57 percent of Virginia voters. Our nation's judicial system has been infected by activist judges, which threaten the stability of our nation and the rule of law.

This ruling comes on the heels of Attorney General Mark Herring's refusal to fulfill his constitutional duty to defend the state's marriage law. His lawlessness is an insult to the voters of Virginia who rightfully expected elected officials to uphold the laws and constitution of the state, not attack them as Herring has done.

An arrogant judiciary is only one of the major consequences of the drive to redefine marriage. Increasingly, Americans are being forced to finance and celebrate unions that not only step on free speech and religious liberty but also deny children a mom and a dad. Rather than live-and-let-live, this court by redefining marriage will create a level of inequality that has never been seen in our country as people are forced to suppress or violate the basic teachings of their faith," concluded Perkins.

Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel and Liberty University Law School, which is based in Virginia, said the judge must not have ever read the Constitution.

“This decision is outrageous and legally flawed. Judges would be well-served to read the U.S. Constitution and not invent or rewrite it,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. “The Constitution cannot be changed by the stroke of a judge’s pen, nor does it bow to a judge’s personal ideology. The overwhelming majority of Virginia voters who make up ‘we the people’ voted to affirm natural marriage. Same-sex marriage, as a policy matter, sends the message that children do not need moms and dads. There is ample evidence that children fair [sic] best when raised with a mother and a father. Same-sex marriage is not the equivalent of natural marriage. Judges should be careful to render decisions grounded in the Constitution and the rule of law. Otherwise, judges and courts will render themselves impotent when the people lose confidence in the judicial system,” Staver continued.

The Family Foundation of Virginia, meanwhile, blamed Valentine’s Day for the ruling, which the group says threatens “our entire social fabric.”

“The timing of this decision certainly calls into question Judge Wright Allen’s objectivity,” a Friday morning statement from the group stated. “This rushed release just prior to Valentine’s Day reeks of political show, making her ruling less a legal argument and more a press release. It’s disappointing that a federal judge would so blatantly expose her personal political agenda at the expense of not just marriage, but our entire social fabric.”

“Regardless of one’s stance on marriage, the people of Virginia were disenfranchised by this ruling as our voice and our vote that amended our Constitution have been rendered meaningless by a single federal judge with the assistance of our own Attorney General,” the Family Foundation statement read. “Protecting a timeless institution for the well-being of children was the will of the overwhelming majority of Virginians and this ruling denies this important state interest as it places the desires of adults over the outcomes of children.”

National Organization for Marriage president Brian Brown said the “terrible decision” must be reversed:

This is another example of an Obama-appointed judge twisting the constitution and the rule of law to impose her own views of marriage in defiance of the people of Virginia. There is no right to same-sex 'marriage' in the United States constitution. In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court has said that states have the preeminent duty of defining marriage. The people of Virginia did just that in voting overwhelmingly to affirm marriage as the union of one man and woman. That decision should be respected by federal judges and we hope that the U.S. Supreme Court ends up reversing this terrible decision. This case also leaves a particular stench because of the unconscionable decision of Attorney General Mark Herring to not only abandon his sworn duty to defend the laws of the state, but to actually join the case against the very people he is duty-bound to represent.

Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation blasted the “imperious federal judiciary” and the “liberal state apparatus,” warning that they are trying “to advance a social experiment that changes America from the nation that we know into something totally unrecognizable” and “will force you to support homosexual marriage.”

The case, if it can be appealed must be appealed to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. The problem is that appellate courts have to rule based on the record from the trial court. The record is the transcript of witnesses’ testimony and other evidence the trial judge heard.

With Virginia’s Attorney General refusing to defend the case, the case might not even be appealed and even if it is, the record may be very limited.

Once again, we see an imperious federal judiciary overruling the voters of a state to advance a social experiment that changes America from the nation that we know into something totally unrecognizable.

And with the striking down of this law, can the liberal state apparatus be far behind? That liberal state apparatus is the one that will force you to support homosexual marriage whether or not it conflicts with your religious beliefs.

Tea Party Nation: Pro-Choice Virginia Candidate Worse than Murderers, Rapists

A new TV ad from Jennifer Wexton -- a former state prosecutor who is running for the Virginia state senate seat that will be vacated by Attorney General-elect Mark Herring – has so upset Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips that he is accusing her of being worse than murderers, rapists, and robbers.

In the ad, Wexton says, “as a prosecutor, I put violent offenders in prison. In the Virginia Senate, I’ll fight just as hard against Tea Party Republicans who would take away a woman’s health care and her right to choose, even in cases of rape and incest.”

The right-wing Media Research Center jumped on the ad, claiming that Wexton “made a shocking comparison between violent rapists that she once tried as a prosecutor to ‘Tea Party Republicans’ in the Virginia legislature.”

This moved Phillips to post a screed on his blog, which he also emailed to his group’s members, saying that Wexton “is worse than any of the people I put away” as a district attorney in Tennessee , including those accused of robbery, rape and murder.

“During my career as a prosecutor, I sent people to prison for some horrible things,” Phillips writes. “As far as I am concerned, I would rather see one of them elected than Jennifer Wexton. That is how extreme she is and how far to the left she is.”

I was a prosecutor for ten years. I put a lot of violent offenders in prison. I sent people away for crimes ranging from Robbery, to Rape to Murder.

As far as I am concerned, Jennifer Wexton is worse than any of the people I put away.

She smears millions of Patriotic Americans who love America, freedom and liberty.

She is a supporter of the ideology that has resulted in poverty, tyranny and mass murder around the world.

What she is really saying is, “elect me so I can keep the multi-billion dollar abortion industry profitable!”

During my career as a prosecutor, I sent people to prison for some horrible things. As far as I am concerned, I would rather see one of them elected than Jennifer Wexton. That is how extreme she is and how far to the left she is.

The Sincerest Form of Flattery? Tea Party Group Copies MoveOn Fundraising Email

The progressive group MoveOn.org has an unexpected fan in Tea Party Nation’s Judson Phillips. In fact, Phillips is so enamored with the group’s email strategy that he copied a MoveOn fundraising email last week and repurposed it to raise money for his own group.

Tea Party Nation Tells Us That Obamacare is Like Rape

This weekend, Tea Party Nation president Judson Philips emailed to the group’s members an article by TPN writer Darwin Rockantansky that compares the Affordable Care Act to rape.

Rockantansky starts off his article by musing about “Law & Order: SVU” villains who claim that their victims “enjoy” rape. This, he says, is just like Affordable Care Act proponents defending the ACA to their relatives at Thanksgiving dinner. “Their message is truly quite simple,” he writes. “Lie back and quit fighting and eventually you will enjoy the experience.”

He adds: “But I will encourage you to think about your own families and extended families and decide for yourself if there is a point at which this rape experience could possibly become enjoyable;  rape of our free will, rape of our religious convictions, rape of free markets, rape of our Constitution, a brutal rape of the American Dream and personal freedoms.”

There is one particular group of these programs called: “Law And Order: SVU”. And in this series there are a few episodes that I simply cannot watch because they expose the deepest darkest side of human nature and despite their disclaimer that no real persons are reflected, most people recognize that there are far too many real world parallels for comfort.

And in some of these episodes, there are gifted actors that portray fictional characters whose defense when charged with rape runs along these lines:

  •  “She seduced me.”
  •  “She wanted it.”
  •  “She enjoyed it.”

Really?

At what point does rape become a pleasurable experience for the victim?

And whom among us are not revolted and angered by such nonsense?

And whom among us are willing to believe that if we “Just lay back and don’t fight it you will inevitably enjoy it.”?

And the “IT” that I am referring to here is “Obamacare”.

The Obama Regime is encouraging people to become the evangelists for Obamacare in their own family and social groups over Thanks Giving dinner. Their message is truly quite simple: Lie back and quit fighting and eventually you will enjoy the experience.

I won’t belabor you with the horrendously offensive aspects of this Socialist doctrine. Nor can I predict the level of socially unacceptable behavior that might erupt should some fool attempt to do that in my home much less over Thanks Giving dinner (ALL of which I personally prepare from scratch ).

But I will encourage you to think about your own families and extended families and decide for yourself if there is a point at which this rape experience could possibly become enjoyable;  rape of our free will, rape of our religious convictions, rape of free markets, rape of our Constitution, a brutal rape of the American Dream and personal freedoms.

TPN Author: Jefferson 'Demanded Total Repeal' of Slavery, Just Like Ted Cruz Is Doing For Obamacare

In an article emailed to Tea Party Nation members on Monday, Lloyd Marcus, an activist, songwriter, and self-described “(black) Unhyphenated American” sings the praises of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, whom he compares to Martin Luther King, Jr., Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, and accuses Cruz’s “establishment” critics of being no better than Don Corleone.

Marcus’ most colorful analogy is between Cruz and Jefferson, whom Marcus insists “demanded total repeal” of slavery, just like Cruz is demanding the repeal of Obamacare. “Like Jefferson standing firm on repealing slavery, Sen. Cruz has stood firm on the total repeal of Obamacare,” Marcus writes. He must be reading David Barton.

Marcus goes on to compare Cruz’s crusade to the Continental Army’s fight to “resist the mighty British.”

From what I recall of my childhood, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s civil rights movement was not universally embraced in the black community. Some blacks were frightened by his actions and angry at the “crazy” colored man for stirring up trouble. “He is making things worse for Negros!” MLK became an American icon.

Considering that slavery was the norm, founding father Thomas Jefferson calling slavery a “moral depravity” and the greatest threat to the survival of our new nation was a “crazy” thing to say.

Talk about history repeating itself, attempts were made to seduce Jefferson with “fixes” for slavery. If slavery could be made kinder and gentler, that would nullify the need to repeal it. Jefferson did not fall for their trap. He demanded total repeal. The Obama Administration is attempting to bamboozle Republicans with “fixes” for Obamacare. Like Jefferson standing firm on repealing slavery, Sen. Cruz has stood firm on the total repeal of Obamacare.

It was pretty “crazy” for Gen. George Washington and his rag-tag Continental Army to resist the mighty British. In the winter snow at Valley Forge, Washington and his troops had no heat, not enough food, medicine or doctors; 2,500 troops died from the severe conditions and another 2,500 went home. Only 6,000 cold starving soldiers stayed to fight.

Though suffering many defeats and retreats, Washington and his men ultimately won America's war for independence.

Every great idea and movement began with a visionary leader besieged by naysayers accusing them of being crazy, stupid or arrogant; annoyed at them for even trying. “Who do you think you are?”

As do eagles, great leaders typically fly alone.

Freshman Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz is an eagle.

A “Wanted Politically Dead or Alive” bounty is out on Cruz's head for daring to go against the establishment. Like Don Michael Corleone told his brother Fredo to never go against the family before having him murdered, freshman Sen. Cruz was expected to know never go against the Washington DC establishment. Republicans, Democrats and the media would love to see Sen. Cruz politically sleeping with the fishes.

Tea Party Nation Exposes 'The Gay Food Nazis' Once And For All

On Saturday, Tea Party Nation emailed readers a TPN blog post, “The Gay Food Nazis,” which argues that progressives are “hypocrites” for supporting portion control and gay rights. Timothy Birdnow, who blamed the Sandy Hook shooting on teachers and called for school to hire George Zimmerman, attacked Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon for his decision to recognize married same-sex couples for tax purposes.

“If controlling the kinds of food and portion sizes that children are allowed is a state-sanctioned function, than shouldn't controlling homosexual imagery and experience be likewise?” Birdnow asks, using an argument also floated by David Barton. “Shouldn’t we be trying to put homosexuality back into the closet to prevent children with genetic tendencies from suffering temptation?”

He writes that “two men or two women can no more be married than can a man and his goldfish,” warning that “the current ‘gay fad’” is part of “the advancement of socialism” and leads to “greater government control.”

Birdnow’s article is nothing new from TPN, which regularly pushes out virulently anti-gay commentaries.

This sort of dissembling is endemic of the "gay marriage" debate (which is itself a term rank with dishonesty; two men or two women can no more be married than can a man and his goldfish, the two being biologically incapable of reproducing in either case. The promotion of homosexual behavior by the Progressives in our society is now reaching a crescendo and the first casualty in this titanic struggle for the right to fornicate in an largely painful and unhygienic fashion and receive societal approval has been the truth.

So Jay Nixon has attempted to backdoor gay marriage (no pun intended) in the State of Missouri.

Homosexuality is but one leg in the dream world of the Left, a world where breeding is not considered a right but a very special privilege. The Left seeks to divorce sex from reproduction, to make sex a simple physical act, a feeding of a hunger. That is why Sandra Fluke can demand free contraception without batting an eye; sex has little to do with creating families or binding yourself permanently to one person, the person who will ultimately help you raise your children. Homosexuality is the ultimate rebellion against this "Bourgeois morality". The Progressives have a powerful incentive to promote being gay.

The Left, seeking a "new man", one freed from the restraints imposed by Christian morality and Nature's God, have risen in rebellion against the entire order of society, against Natural Law, against Divine Revelation. Sex is the bayonet of that revolution.

That last is important because what the current "gay fad" is intended to do is to break this passing along of received wisdom from our forbearers. The Left wants to make a "New Man" and to do that the chain of "contagion" of old ideas and beliefs must be broken. Children must be raised by the State or at least have the State be the primary influence over their intellectual and moral development. Common Core is one of the tools now being implemented to accomplish this, and that is being promoted in both the public schools (the original source for Leftist indoctrination) and the private ones as well.

Strange how aggressive this government - led by committed leftists - is toward dietary problems while at the same time promoting homosexuality. And they HAVE promoted it; they have regularized it in the military, have refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in court, etc.

If there is a societal interest in reducing obesity, is there not an equal societal interest in reducing homosexuality?

If controlling the kinds of food and portion sizes that children are allowed is a state-sanctioned function, than shouldn't controlling homosexual imagery and experience be likewise? Shouldn't we be trying to put homosexuality back into the closet to prevent children with genetic tendencies from suffering temptation? Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. The difference in approach is astonishing.

So both obesity and homosexuality may have a biological component and both are bad for the public health. So why are we treating these two behavioral issues differently? If society must discourage obesity, should it not equally discourage homosexuality?

That is the opposite of what is happening. We are celebrating being gay while condemning being overweight. The left's hypocrisy is astonishing.

But that is because the two both serve real purposes to the advancement of socialism. In the case of food the prevention of obesity allows government to grow obese itself, to metastasize as it tells the individual and the family what they can or cannot eat while there would be no similar benefit from the prohibition of homosexuality. The promotion of homosexuality offers many benefits that the Left finds attractive. It damages the family, opening the door to greater government control. It promotes a platform to assault traditional values and particularly Christianity. It creates a solid voting block that favors Democrats.

Tea Party Nation Wants Senate GOP To Block Every Single Future Obama Nominee

Yesterday, after an extended and unbending campaign of obstruction by Senate Republicans, Democrats in the Senate invoked the so-called “nuclear option” and reduced the threshold for confirming most presidential nominees to a simple majority.

Judson Phillips, president of Tea Party Nation, responded by urging Senate Republicans, if they take control of the Senate after next year’s elections, to “summarily reject” “every one of Obama’s appointees for everything” – a policy that would eventually bring federal agencies and courts to a standstill.

Of course, it was Tea Party Republicans’ blanket obstruction President Obama’s nominees that led to the rules change in the first place.

Harry Reid has in one afternoon destroyed 225 years of history, precedent and probably destroyed any chance the Republicans and Democrats could agree on anything for the foreseeable future.

As long as Mitch McConnell is in charge of the Senate Republicans, I have my doubts anything will happen.  The Republicans should stand united against this usurpation.

The founding fathers made it very easy to gum up the system so that there would not be rash acts and so that even a minority could stop a really bad idea (like any of Barack Obama’s judicial nominees.)

When the Republicans take control of the Senate in 2015, which they are almost certain to do, every one of Obama’s appointees for anything, should be summarily rejected.

Cuccinelli Backers: We Were Betrayed; Expel Bolling

With Ken Cuccinelli’s conservative backers already crying foul about their failed candidate’s supposed mistreatment, the GOP’s Civil War continues.

Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel is fantasizing about voter fraud despite offering absolutely no proof, and Tea Party Nation head Judson Phillips wants Virginia’s Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling — who refused to endorse Cuccinelli — expelled from the GOP:

The Republican Party of Virginia has bylaws that call for the automatic expulsion of members who support Democrats in contested elections. Bill Bolling’s support of Terry McAuliffe has been well documents [sic].

Had the Republican establishment not worked against Cuccinelli, he would be governor today. Conservatives need to make an example of Bolling. He should be persona non grata at any Republican function in Virginia. His name should be synonymous with being a sell out [sic].

And if the Republican Party of Virginia does not publicly expel Bolling, then conservatives need to find a new political party in Virginia.

Just to add some perspective, Phillips hailed Cuccinelli’s running mate E.W. Jackson as the “future of the conservative movement.” Jackson was soundly defeated 55-44%.

John Nolte of Breitbart News attacked Chris Christie for not helping Cuccinelli in Virginia and said that Cuccinelli’s defeat actually helped the Tea Party:

Tuesday night and again Wednesday morning, NBC's Chuck Todd reported that New Jersey Republican Governor Chris Christie refused to campaign for Ken Cuccinelli, the Virginia Republican who narrowly lost his own governor's race to Democrat Terry McAuliffe. "They begged Christie, and you can make an argument," Todd said on Morning Joe. "That to bring a Chris Christie to Northern Virginia might have helped. But Chris Christie is worried about his own brand."

Part of Christie's brand problem, though, is his behavior during the closing days of last year's presidential campaign. After running one of the most divisive administrations and re-election campaigns in recent memory; in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Barack Obama went to New Jersey seeking bipartisan credibility. And in the eyes of many, Christie went above and beyond to give it to him.

Had Christie taken just a half-day to stump for Cuccinelli, not only would that have helped wash the Sandy stain away, it might have actually made him a hero to the base for both defying the Morning Joe crowd and helping to drag Cuccinelli over the finish line.

If Christie wins the 2016 Republican nomination but loses Virginia, and with it the general election, last night should be remembered as the most short-sighted and spiteful cutting off of the nose to spite the Tea Party in years.

The GOP Establishment and Morning Joe crowd keep lecturing the Tea Party about how it is all about winning elections. In Virginia last night that talking point was laid bare as nothing more than a lie.

Longtime conservative activist Richard Viguerie maintained that Cuccinelli’s loss has nothing to do with his radical views. Viguerie even compared Cuccinelli to Goldwater, who lost the 1964 presidential election in a landslide:

What is clear is that Cuccinelli’s ideas weren’t rejected so much as he was drowned in the sea of money that flowed in to Terry McAuliffe’s campaign to keep Virginia government growing, taxes rising, to roll back the progress social conservatives have made in the state, and most importantly, to keep cronyism as the governing principle at the Virginia state Capitol building.

The betrayal of Ken Cuccinelli by Bolling and other nominal Republicans, such as political consultant Boyd Marcus, mirrors the betrayal of Barry Goldwater by the Republican establishment and their nominal allies in the business community.

George Will once wrote that Barry Goldwater didn't lose in 1964, it just took 16 years, until the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980, to count the votes. We expect that the same will be said of Ken Cuccinelli and we believe he will be vindicated in the future.

Ken Cuccinelli did not lose last night because he is a principled limited government constitutional conservative. Cuccinelli lost because he was drowned in a sea of money and undercut by a Republican establishment that would rather see a Democrat in the Governor’s mansion than end the good ole boy politics in Richmond and allow a real conservative anywhere near the levers of power that he might use to make good on Republican promises to govern as limited government constitutional conservatives.

Anti-choice activist Marjorie Dannenfelser said that Cuccinelli was hamstrung by the Star Scientific scandal and “misleading attack ads,” but insisted that the “Republican establishment” is to blame “for abandoning this race.”

Somehow, Dannenfelser thinks that Cuccinelli’s loss shows the need for candidates to emphasize their opposition to abortion rights, even though 61% of Virginia voters [PDF] said they are pro-choice.

In response to Ken Cuccinelli’s close defeat in the Virginia gubernatorial election tonight, Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), told LifeNews that the race shows the pro-life movement needs to spend more time exposing how extreme candidates like McAuliffe are on abortion.

“Despite being woefully outspent and compromised both by the government shutdown and the ethics scandal faced by Governor Bob McDonnell, Cuccinelli came within inches of victory. The political prognosticators that can often drive election results by their predictions ought not to have given up on him. The results make clear that more support from outside groups in the final weeks could have changed the outcome. Shame on the Republican establishment for abandoning this race and failing to push Ken over the finish line.

“Terry McAuliffe spent well over $5 million on misleading attack ads about Ken Cuccinelli and the fictitious ‘war on women,’ including running more than 5,600 spots on the abortion issue alone. Attacks on Cuccinelli were left unanswered, or answered too late, and the negative message stuck.

“This election shows that it is imperative for pro-lifers to be on offense in 2014 against the distortions and extremism of the Left. The Democrat strategy for 2014 is set: demonize pro-life candidates and spend big on ‘war on women’ advertising. The party, candidates, and movement must aggressively expose the other side’s extremism and penchant for putting women and children at risk through their abortion policies.”

Women Speak Out – Virginia, the state PAC of the SBA List, raised and spent $870,000 in support of Ken Cuccinelli’s candidacy, working to turn out the pro-life base. The organization canvassed the homes of 69,700 voters, engaged in volunteer calls reaching 255,000 identified pro-life inconsistent voters, and had get out the vote calls reaching as many as 1 million homes.

UPDATE: Brian Brown of the National Organization for Marriage accused the Republican Party of abandoning Cuccinelli over his opposition to same-sex marriage:

"Too many leaders of the Republican Party have drunk the Kool-Aid of the consulting class that they should abandon conservatives like Ken Cuccinelli because they have taken principled stances on social issues such as preserving marriage and protecting life," said Brown. "How many elections do they need to lose before they realize they are implementing a disastrous election strategy and ruining their chances of success?"

Brown noted that when the marriage issue has been on the ballot, it has outpolled the Republican ticket by a significant margin. Support for traditional marriage polled an average of seven points higher than Mitt Romney did in the four states it was on the ballot in 2012.

"The GOP elite wants candidates to be silent about their views on marriage and other social issues, but election results show that is exactly the wrong thing to do," Brown said. "Election after election has shown that voters across America, including in deep blue states, support traditional marriage by a significantly higher margin than they support the GOP. For the second election in a row, Republican leaders and consultants have pursued a flawed strategy of urging silence on social issues that has cost their candidates. If they don’t wake up, they could face disaster next year."

Tea Party Groups Warn GOP 'Traitors'

Tea Party groups are still reeling from the unsuccessful push by Sen. Ted Cruz and his allies to use a government shutdown to force the defunding of the Affordable Care Act, blaming RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) for their failure.

Tea Party Nation emailed members today urging them not to support so-called RINOs, even in the general election:

In every state where there is a RINO running for the Senate and certain establishment Republicans are running for reelection in the House, like John Boehner and Eric Cantor, conservatives need to agree on one challenger to support against the incumbent.

If that challenger wins, then everyone supports the challenger in the November 2014 elections. If the challenger fails, then instead of grudgingly supporting the establishment Republican, we all then need to fall back to supporting an independent or a third party candidate who is worthy of support.

Meanwhile, the Tea Party Leadership Fund is urging “true conservatives” to run campaigns against the 87 House Republican “traitors” who backed a deal to end the government shutdown and prevent a default on the debt:

Nearly two years into President Obama’s second term, a do-nothing Republican Congress is focusing on its next project: the 2014 midterm elections. But that effort might be complicated by increasing pressure from the party’s base to turn Congress’ energy to impeaching President Obama. The impeachment call, which has existed on the right-wing fringe since the start of Obama’s presidency, has picked up steam in recent weeks as it has been endorsed by right-wing media figures, activists and elected officials. This has put Republican congressional leaders in a tricky spot... MORE >

“Drew” Willison, the current Senate Seargent [sic] at Arms to issue and execute an arrest warrant, taking the... Glenn Beck, David Barton, Michelle Malkin and other anti-Common Core activists will participate in a live event that will air in movie theaters throughout the country this summer called "We Will Not Conform." Speaking of Beck, he has spent all week blaming Elliot Rodger's murder spree on video games, so logically he'll blame the murder of this two year-old girl on the Bible, right? Predictably, David and Jason Benham have now become full-fledged Religious Right stars and have been given a speaking slot at Ralph Reed's upcoming Faith and Freedom Coalition... MORE >

Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips insists that for his group’s website, “racists [sic] comments is [sic] one of the fastest ways to be banned from the site.” But he had no problem today sending members a post referring to the president as “Banama,” drawing on the racist comparison of black people to monkeys. The post is as crazy as one might expected an article entitled ‘Banama’s Next Job’ would be, with author James Brody regretting “white timidity” in fighting Obama. “Even his race – ‘black’ was... Yesterday, Tea Party Nation president Judson Phillips sent members a column from his group’s website titled “Too Much Gay Everything,” which criticizes the media’s treatment of Michael Sam’s “nauseating” and “lugubrious” kiss. The author, conservative activist Alan Caruba, writes that his anti-gay prejudice “is based on biology and history” and that “being gay is not normal.” As is typical in anti-gay columns, Caruba goes on to warn that schools are promoting homosexuality and that “anyone with a handful of... North Carolina used a program run by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, which even Kobach acknowledges produces a “significant... MORE >
