Larry Pratt, the executive director emeritus of Gun Owners of America, said on his “Gun Owners News Hour” radio program this weekend that if a Democrat wins the White House and the Supreme Court starts issuing decisions in favor of gun regulations, conservatives may turn to the “bullet box” to rectify the situation. Pratt was interviewing Robert Knight, a senior fellow at the American Civil Rights Union, who warned that “if a liberal Democrat is elected president, then there goes the Supreme Court, it could be two, three, four justices, and I think the Second... In an amicus brief filed at the Supreme Court yesterday, the anti-abortion-rights groups Susan B. Anthony List and Concerned Women for America argue that a restrictive Texas law that threatens to shut almost all of the state’s abortion clinics is actually meant to prevent discrimination against women seeking abortions. In the brief, written by former Family Research Council official Ken Klukowski on behalf of the American Civil Rights Union, the groups argue that HB2, the Texas law being considered in the case Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, in fact “prevents... MORE >
Robert Knight: Obama 'Trying To Replace The American Electorate With Illegal Aliens Who Are Easily Bribed'

In an interview with a West Virginia radio program on Thursday, conservative commentator and American Civil Rights Union senior fellow Robert Knight claimed that President Obama is encouraging undocumented immigrants to vote and “trying to replace the American electorate with illegal aliens who are easily bribed with federal welfare.” Complaining about what he sees as ineffective GOP leadership in Congress, Knight told talk radio host Tom Roten, “The Democrats don’t operate like that. They play guerilla warfare and they win, they do whatever is necessary to win.... MORE >

Conservative commentator Robert Knight is not optimistic about the Supreme Court’s upcoming decision in a set of marriage equality cases, telling a West Virginia radio program yesterday that “unless God intervenes, the court looks poised to create a brand-new right to gay marriage out of the Constitution, which is just literally insane and absurd.” Knight was particularly annoyed by Justice Kennedy’s comments about marriage conferring “dignity” and “ennoblement” to gay couples. “I was thinking about that,” he told Huntington-based... Obama Supports Mandatory Voting In Order To 'Flood The Nation With Illegal Immigrants' And Destroy The GOP

While speaking last week in Ohio, President Obama was asked his thoughts on how to control the amount of money in politics and spending on campaigns, to which he responded by noting, among other things, that some nations have mandatory voting. "If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country," Obama said, and that has predictably alarmed conservative activists who notoriously do not want everyone to vote, such as Robert Knight of the American Civil Rights Union and Tim Wildmon of the American Family Association. Discussing Obama's statement... MORE >

Conservative columnist Robert Knight of the American Civil Rights Union is offended that “our Muslim enemies falsely describe” America as the “world’s Great Satan,” but he agrees that we are certainly on our way to becoming just that. “We might consider asking our ruling elites in Hollywood, New York and Washington to give the mullahs less evidence for that claim,” he writes in the Washington Times. The ACRU senior fellow alleges that America’s “ever-coarsening, ‘progressive’ popular culture and the ruling elites” are... MORE >

The American Civil Rights Union’s Robert Knight, who has been encouraging Republicans to run on social issues such as hostility to abortion rights and opposition to LGBT equality, now thinks the GOP should campaign on denying the existence of evolution. Citing a Pew poll which shows that belief in evolution has plummeted in the GOP and is now shared by only a minority of Republicans, Knight told the American Family Association’s One News Now that “Republicans have a great opportunity” to expose the “lies that liberals have told over the years” and begin... Robert Knight of the American Civil Right Union says that it is time for Republicans to “get off the psychiatrists’ couches” and take it to President Obama by embracing the Tea Party. MORE >
