Robert Jeffress appeared on the American Family Association’s “Today’s Issues” radio program earlier this week where he warned that the executive order signed by President Obama prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating against gay employees was paving the way for the government to start stripping tax exemptions and broadcasting rights from churches and religious groups.
“My problem with that order,” Jeffress told show host Tim Wildmon, “is that it paves the way for the next executive order that would say, well, the government is not going to grant tax-exempt status, it’s not going to grant broadcast licenses to any organization that holds on to its religious beliefs that homosexuality is wrong.”
