King: Don’t Vote On Any Immigration Legislation, Focus On Obamacare Instead

Rep. Steve King (R-IA), in an interview with WorldNetDaily yesterday, urged the House to continue debating the Affordable Care Act — which was signed into law in 2010 — into 2014 and refuse to consider any legislation pertaining to immigration reform. Speaking to the far-right birther site, King warned that “only bad can come from passing anything out of the House that has to do with immigration.”

“Anything that starts in the House gets something or maybe many of the things that the Gang of Eight’s [bill] amended to it, it goes to conference, potentially we end up in a big fight over immigration, it splits the Republican Party and it changes the subject from Obamacare,” King said. “The President and the Democrats win, Americans lose.”
