Rep. Louie Gohmert was a guest on Steve Malzberg’s program yesterday where he was asked his thoughts on the possibility that the United States could release Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard as part of the effort to reach a deal in the on-going Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.
Gohmert said that he wasn’t familiar with the terms of a possible Pollard release, but did know that the Obama administration has been “twisting arms” of the Israeli leadership behind the scenes in ways that is putting this nation in danger of suffering the wrath of God.
“Since I do believe the Bible,” Gohmert explained, “those nations that divide Israel are going to be judged and it isn’t going to be pretty. I’d hate to be the country that betrays Israel, that demands that they give up land that had been given to them. I think that we’re in real trouble with the pressure that this administration’s doing”:
