Continuing his role as a prophet of God and his habit of lecturing his staff during the morning meeting about whatever random thoughts he’s had that day, Glenn Beck declared yesterday that it is the role of his company to serve as the calm voice of reason that will show the nation the way through the darkness and confusion.
Just as Beck was told by God to remain calm and rational back in 2007 during his interview with Al Sharpton even though he wanted to “rip him apart,” Beck said that prompting was correct because at that end of the interview, he was the “clear winner” because he remained “calm and rational” and that same prompting applies today, as it is the role of Beck and his company to stand in front of the nation and calmly beg them to simply look at the truth.
“When everybody else is running in one direction,” Beck said, “we are to stand and say ‘stop, don’t, please, I love you, please don’t do that, wrong direction, please go the other way. Come with me. There’s people, there are friends, it makes sense, it’s the world you understand where we all have to work hard, but it’s okay. It’s okay. Please come with us”:
