On his radio program yesterday, right-wing pastor E.W. Jackson called for rounding up and deporting every undocumented immigrant in America because Hispanics are “having lots of children” and will soon “overwhelm the culture.”
“I’ve had it with this stuff,” said Jackson, who was the Republican Party nominee for lieutenant governor of Virginia in 2013 and unsuccessfully ran for a seat in the U.S. Senate in 2018. “I used to be somebody who would say, ‘Well, you know, look, we are never going to round up all the illegal immigrants and get them out of here.’ But you know what I say now? ‘We should try.'”
“The birth rate among Americans is very, very low,” Jackson added. “And if you have millions of people coming into this country illegally over a period of time and they are having lots of children, eventually it overwhelms the culture.”
“Talk to anybody who lives in Miami. You can’t get a job if you can’t speak Spanish,” he said. ” Is that where we’re headed for the entire country? We’re almost there now with all the, ‘Press this button for Spanish, press this button for English.’ Come on. We’re an English-speaking country. And I don’t have a problem with accommodating people who speak another language; I have a problem with trying to change the whole culture to make it as if we’re bilingual and that everybody has got to speak two languages. That’s not who we are. So folks, I would say we’ve got to try to round them all up and deport them all. I’m serious.”
