Cindy Jacobs Convenes The Court Of Heaven At ‘Prophetic’ Turnaround Conference

Cindy Jacobs, one of the “prophets” leading last month’s Turnaround conference at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C., told attendees that her role as a prophet of God is to “change governments” like the prophets of the Old Testament. She told her fellow “generals” in spiritual warfare, “We are God’s enforcers in the Earth for His will to be done.”

Jacobs spoke during conference sessions on Thursday evening, Friday, and Saturday morning on February 22-24. While in Washington, D.C., attendees prayed for God to clear the way for President Donald Trump to name four new Supreme Court justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade, and prayed for God to expose and remove Trump’s enemies in the federal government.

Jacobs wielded a gavel that she had bought at the Supreme Court gift shop on an earlier trip to Washington, saying that God had instructed her to “convene the court of heaven” about the Deep State:

So father, in the name of Jesus, we do convene the court of heaven. … So Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, we decree, and we say, Father God, great judge of the universe, see these injustices that are done against your people, people that are hiding in the CIA and the FBI, different ones in Congress, anyone surrounding the Supreme Court, anyone that might write an opinion, anyone that are clerks, anything, Father, Lord we pray over the executive branch, everyone who works there, everyone at every state level, all the judicial system, the Ninth Circuit, Father and these others, Lord, we decree Father, you are the great judge of the universe and we declare the court is in session.

When Jacobs’ husband Mike introduced her in one session, he said she was not there to speak pleasant words but to reveal the counsel of God, who he prayed would touch her lips. “Lord,” he prayed, “we don’t want to hear from a human, we want to hear from you.” During remarks in which she introduced a session of prayers against Trump’s enemies in the Deep State, she paused and made sounds and spoke asides suggesting that she was receiving the message directly from God:

So this morning, as I was seeking the Lord, [OK, I got that], the worship team started to sing, ‘the heavens are roaring.’ [Yelp. Oh, yeah.] And I heard a sound. It was the sound of heavy footsteps. And I heard it begin to leave this place and walk towards the Supreme Court. [Yow!] And I knew that the great advocate, the judge of all the Earth was engaging with us. He said, ‘I’m going to give you the authority to do what you need to do.’ Because I saw Him sit down on His throne in front of the Supreme Court. He is the King. He is the King of all Kings. I saw the angel of the Lord over America, and I want to tell you something, he’s here. So we are going to turn something around, and I want to tell you what it is the Lord spoke to me to turn around. Called by different names, but the name it’s most commonly known as, is the Deep State. [Excited cheering from the crowd] It’s time! It’s time! I said, it’s time!

In keeping with the theme of the conference that a new era is beginning, Jacobs told attendees that God would be sending them home with new authority to bring about the kingdom of God in America:

The enemy is mocking us to our face. Every time we turn on the news, it seems as if there’s a mocking spirit saying how impotent we have been. But I want to say to you, there’s a new marshal in town, there’s a new sheriff in town, the people of Christ understand our authority. Can you feel it? Amen. This is the turnaround season.

But even though God’s angels were lowering stars-and-stripes decorated mantles of governing authority on those in attendance, Jacobs said, they would have to plea for the anointing and be ready to take it. Jacobs cajoled people she believed were not being “violent” or “desperate” enough in their prayers. “The violent take it by force!” she said, referring to a Bible verse, Matthew 11:12, in which Jesus is quoted as saying, in the King James Version, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” The meaning of that verse has generated plenty of commentary and debate, with some arguing that it suggests zeal. In the words of one commentary, “The eager and enthusiastic followers of Christ seize the kingdom—win it as a prize of war.” Another spiritual warrior who spoke at Turnaround, Lou Engle, recently talked about his latest fast as an act of “spiritual violence.”

Jacobs, like other speakers, called for God to bring about changes in political leadership that will lead to the end of legal access to abortion:

So, Father, in the name of Jesus, crack open the heavens! You said this was a turning point, a turning, so turn the Senate! Bring righteous leaders into the House and the Senate that will be brave. Strengthen the brave ones! Strengthen those that are already your freedom fighters for babies in the womb! And we decree, and we declare, and we legislate into the heavens, the turning over, the turning over of the legislation, in the name of Jesus. We decree that, and we decree that the pain capable, pain viable bills will pass, and on the way, Roe vs. Wade will be struck down.

Jacobs said last year that God wants Christians to get “so profoundly wealthy” that it will make Jews jealous enough to convert.  At the Turnaround conference she said God wanted to break attendees’ “spirit of poverty” and “poverty mentality.” On Friday evening she spent more than 20 minutes urging people to give more money to Dutch Sheets Ministries, the organizer of the event, promising them that if they sowed a generous seed they and their families would be richly blessed. “Not only will you be blessed, but your children and your children’s children,” she said. “You can sow a seed today and it will be in your loins! It will be in that family line!”

Jacobs declared that someone in attendance was called to give “a couple hundred thousand” to help pay for the conference at “the most expensive place in Washington, D.C.” In addition, she said, Dutch Sheets Ministries needs at least a million dollars to buy land for a new ministry center: “We need a beachhead for governmental intercession.”

Jacobs was among the dominionists who gathered on the National Mall last October to declare a “massive shift” on the Supreme Court. She was also among the Religious Right leaders invited to the White House last year to celebrate Trump’s signing of an executive order on religious liberty.
