Ben Carson Thinks Politicians Are Promoting Pot Use To Make People Dumb, Distract From Benghazi

Ben Carson sat down yesterday with WorldNetDaily editor Joseph Farah to promote his new book “One Nation” and his potential presidential bid. It was quite amusing to watch Carson and Farah lament on WorldNetDaily — which regularly runs articles about how Democrats are literally demonic — that political activists too often “demonize” their opponents.

Carson told Farah that he worried politicians like President Obama and Eric Holder are surreptitiously encouraging marijuana use in order to create a dumb citizenry. That way, doped-up Americans will be distracted by controversies like the name of the Washington Redskins instead of focusing on stories about Benghazi and Fast and Furious.

“When we do things like have our Attorney General and our President say, ‘marijuana is not that bad, I used it and look how I turned out,’ well that’s the problem.”

Instead of smoking pot and listening to songs like “Happy” all day, Carson said Americans should focus on the real issues of the day…like Benghazi.

He said that Americans should instead focus on “the real enemy”: the communist in the White House who wants to “fundamentally change America.”
