Alan Dershowitz: The New Yorker Magazine Writing ‘Hit Piece’ on Me Because I’m Pro-Trump

Harvard Law professor and attorney Alan Dershowitz claims that The New Yorker magazine is constructing a piece meant to falsely portray him as a person who would have sex with minors and that the magazine is doing so because of Dershowitz’s strong support for President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the nation of Israel.

Dershowitz was among a lineup of lawyers who assisted accused pedophile Jeffrey Epstein in receiving a sweetheart plea deal after he had been accused of assembling “a large, cult-like network of underage girls.” Earlier this month, Epstein was arrested for allegedly sex trafficking underage girls, some as young as 14, and molesting them, which has led many to question what the people in Epstein’s orbit knew about his alleged activities and whether they participated. In an unearthed 2015 video, Dershowitz admitted to receiving a massage at Epstein’s home, but Dershowitz said he was massaged by an adult woman and that he kept his underwear on. Two of Epstein’s alleged victims said they were forced to have sex with Dershowitz, which Dershowitz denies.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit is set to unseal nearly 2,000 pages that reportedly could unveil sexual abuse by “numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known prime minister, and other world leaders,” and the situation has brought an ongoing spat between Dershowitz and the lawyer of a woman who claimed she was forced to have sex with Dershowitz to a boil. Last night on Fox News, Dershowitz declared his innocence and said he had a “perfect, perfect sex life.”

In a panicky op-ed published by the right-wing outlet Newsmax earlier this week, Dershowitz claimed that he had learned that The New Yorker magazine editor David Remnick had “commissioned a hit piece against me for the explicit purpose of silencing my defense of President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and the State of Israel.” Dershowitz offers no evidence for his claims beyond “a source close to The New Yorker magazine,” and he warns his supporters not to believe anything the magazine publishes. He reiterated those claims on SiriusXM Patriot’s “Breitbart News Tonight” show on Wednesday.

“They’re trying to create a narrative I’m the kind of guy who might have had sex with an underage girl, which I never did and I never met anybody. It’s just an attack to try to silence me because of my support for Trump’s rights and Netanyahu’s rights, and the state of Israel,” Dershowitz said, and promised to sue the publication.

He said, “I’m going after them. I’m going to sue them for defamation.”
