Savage: The Obamas Give Me ‘Post-Radio Stress Disorder’

Last year, right-wing radio host Michael Savage told a veteran that he doesn’t believe in post-traumatic stress disorder and said he was “sick and tired with everyone with their complaints about PTSD.”

Which brings us to yesterday’s show, where Savage was so upset about Michelle Obama’s recent speech on girls’ education that he revealed that he had developed “post-radio stress disorder” from reporting on the first lady and the president. Savage explained that the symptoms of PRSD include eating food … and that’s about it:

We’re living in insane times, but I didn’t expect anything different. I knew what we’d get when he was put into power. And every time I get off the air every day, after every show I suffer PRSD, I suffer post-radio stress disorder, every day. It manifests itself in different ways, PRSD. For example, during my break — you think post-radio stress disorder is a joke? Ask my family. What do you think I did during this break? I ate a chicken leg from a hot chicken brought to me from a supermarket. Then I ate an entire veal parmesan from a supermarket unheated. I gave Teddy [his dog] a piece of steak from a restaurant Sunday night. We’re both happy. He’s lying under the desk, smiling. I’m sitting on top of the desk, not smiling. Because living well is the best revenge, let me tell you.

This then prompted Savage to claim that several campus demonstrations on race issues are “being orchestrated by the White House.”
