Sandy Rios: Pray That God Delivers A Ted Cruz Victory In Indiana

Earlier today, Sandy Rios of the American Family Association spoke with Micah Clark, the head of the group’s Indiana affiliate, about the state’s Republican primary, which is taking place today.

Rios and Clark, who have both endorsed Ted Cruz, appeared despondent about predictions that the Texas senator will be defeated by Donald Trump in the state, blaming pastors for not getting involved and preaching about politics.

These silent and apolitical pastors, they warned, have left voters in the dark about how God wants them to vote or think about political issues and as a result, a true conservative like Cruz hasn’t won enough support to defeat a phony like Trump.

“Many of us are concerned that God — we’ve lost God’s favor,” Rios said. “I think that’s why, you know, in this particular election, we are encouraging, especially those of you listening in Indiana this morning, make sure that you go out and vote because there is nothing that God can’t do and we don’t know for sure, it certainly seems like we’re trending toward a very bad ending here, but we know that. God has often heard the prayers of his people and spared them the trouble that they so fully deserve. So we are asking for God’s mercy today and also asking for His favor in Indiana in this coming vote.”
