Gays, Consider Yourself Lucky!

Catholic League president Bill Donohue praised the New York Court of Appeals ruling regarding marriage equality – and then proceeded to tell gays and lesbians that they ought to be thanking their lucky stars that they aren’t getting attacked in the streets

The idea of two men marrying is so bizarre and so anti-marriage that it is a great tribute to the American people that they continue to respect the right of gays to participate in American life without harassment while simultaneously rejecting the extremist gay agenda.

Considering that the Catholic League exists solely for the purpose of defending “the right of Catholics – lay and clergy alike – to participate in American public life without defamation or discrimination,” one would think they’d be a little less inclined to insult others by telling them they ought to consider themselves lucky that they aren’t getting constantly harassed.
