WND’s Joseph Farah was the guest on “Understanding the Times with Jan Markell” over the weekend to discuss “the possible loss of press freedom in America which could trickle down to Christian radio and TV [because this] is what happens when a President appoints himself as king.”
One area of concern for Farah and Markell was the totally bogus right-wing freak-out over the FCC supposedly placing government “monitors” in newsrooms all over the nation in order to control the news. Even though the entire story was total nonsense, Farah and Markell logically declared that this is a sign that America is heading in the direction of Nazi Germany.
Farah asserted that the Founding Fathers knew that America would only succeed so long as the citizens were both moral and informed, but thanks to the government, media, and education, Americans today have become secularized, demoralized, and uninformed, which has put this nation in danger.
“After the Holocaust, everybody said ‘never again,’ Farah warned. “But it will happen again when the same conditions are repeated and that’s exactly what we see today.”
“That’s very true,” Markell agree. “This happened in Nazi Germany, so this really troubles me”:
