Wayne Allyn Root: Oprah’s Golden Globes Speech Was Designed To Stir Up ‘Racism, Hatred And Division’

Right-wing radio host, commentator, conspiracy theorist and Donald Trumpobsessed sycophant Wayne Allyn Root kicked off his program yesterday by ripping Oprah Winfrey for daring to mention the rape of Recy Taylor in the speech that she delivered during the Golden Globes.

Taylor, who recently passed away, was a black woman who had been abducted and raped by several white men in 1944, but two all-white, all-male juries refused to indict the men responsible and none of them were ever punished.

Root was outraged that Winfrey would dare to bring up this case, insisting that instances of white men raping black women almost never happen and that the only reason she cited it was in order to “stir up racism, hatred and division.”

“That’s a uniter statement, isn’t it?” he asked, sarcastically. “That is so uniting. First of all, why does the color matter, Oprah? Why did you bring up a man raping a woman or women? Why it is a white man raping a black woman? Why? Why would you bring that up unless your looking to stir up racism, hatred and division. Why would you bring that up?”

“I’ve seen the FBI statistics,” he continued. “It hardly ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever happens. There is lots of the reverse; there are lots of cases of black people committing crimes against white people and against Hispanic people and against black people—heck, on the streets of Chicago, it’s black against black all day long. There are lots of black rapists.”

“It’s less than one percent, it’s basically zero of white men raping black women so I’m not quite sure why Oprah would bring that up,” Root added. “That literally never happens. She found the one case in the world and she used it. I guess she is a politician.”
