Steve Bannon: Roy Moore Is A Victim Of ‘The Politics Of Personal Destruction’

Breitbart News leader and former White House strategist Steve Bannon told radio listeners this weekend that allegations that Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore made inappropriate advances on teenage girls were “about destroying Roy Moore” and can be attributed to “the politics of personal destruction.”

Saturday on Breitbart News radio, Bannon continued Breitbart’s ongoing defense of Moore after the Washington Post reported that multiple women alleged Moore made sexual advances on them when he was in his 30s and they were teenagers, one as young as 14 years old. As part of the site’s effort to discredit the allegations and defend Moore from scrutiny, Bannon chalked up the stories to a political attack on Moore and his family.

“All that stuff that Donald Trump got attacked on—they tried to destroy him and his family—the politics of personal destruction. It’s the politics of personal destruction down in Alabama,” Bannon said of the reports on Moore. “Have you heard one issue debated down there? Have you heard anything? No.”

Bannon continued, “This is about destroying Roy Moore. And you know they want to destroy Roy Moore? They want to destroy anybody that will step up and speak in your behalf, whether it’s Donald Trump, whether it’s Judge Roy Moore, whether it’s Breitbart News, they’re at full-out war.”
