‘Sodomites, Go To Hell!’: Right-Wing July 4th Event Warns Hurricanes Create ‘Sodomite Heaven’

We recently reported that the Oath Keepers, an antigovernment militia group, and James David Manning, the Harlem pastor who likes to say that “Jesus would stone homos,” were planning to team up over the Fourth of July weekend for their second annual event in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, to “prove that racism is being manufactured by liberals and not practiced by conservatives.”

Although Oath Keepers members were involved in last year’s event, this year they were honored with the presence of the group’s founder, Stewart Rhodes, who gave a brief speech on July 4th alleging that liberals want to divide Americans by race and prompt another civil war.

But the real fireworks seemed to have come on the second day of the event, July 5, which was filmed by conservative activist Wiley Drake, who is credited as the cofounder of the “Racial Reconciliation of the Races” event.

Manning was introduced by Rhonda Herrington, a member of his ATLAH church congregation. Herrington recalled a visit to Pensacola, Florida, to protest the trial of creationist tax-dodger Kent Hovind, and was shocked to see that the city had become a “sodomite heaven,” which she blamed on “manufactured” hurricanes meant to “get rid of the Americans.” She also took aim at Rev. Al Sharpton, who she blamed for “doing race riots” and “church shootings” with money funneled from George Soros through President Obama.

As she was leaving the stage, a member of the audience yelled, “Sodomites, go to Hell!” Manning, taking the stage, then asked everyone to stand and join him in yelling, “Sodomites, go to Hell!”

Manning continued on this theme throughout his sermon, saying, “The other day before leaving here, we had on our announcement board that all fags, all lesbos, all fag churches that burn in lust for human waste will burn in Hell as human waste.”

“We’re going to keep on preaching and teaching that fags, lesbos, sodomites, and all other hell-raisers are going directly to Hell,” he said, “and I pray that God will let me sit someplace where I can send them to Hell.”

Manning went on to say that all of the biblical revelations he has had since President Obama took office have come true, including the fact that the president is the “son of Satan.”
