Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema, notorious for his virulent anti-gay activism and endorsement of Russia’s criminalization of pro-gay-rights speech, shared an article on Facebook last month from the white supremacist magazine American Renaissance. The article, which Agema found “very enlightening,” described African-Americans as inherently violent and prone to violence, with the author writing that “blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people” and “cannot control their impulses.”
In a separate Facebook post, Agema said that Islam should not be tolerated in the U.S.: “In America you can be any religion you wish, but those that seek the destruction of our country and citizens are not to be tolerated. Its high time the people of American realize we are at war with a 6th century religion bent on world domination, elimination of Christianity and the Jewish religion.”
Agema, an RNC’s Michigan national committeeman, previously came under fire for suggesting that Muslim-Americans have offered no contributions to American society.
